@Kipperoo I actually bought a baby Brezza last time and ended up returning it once I read the reviews and it sounded like the inaccurate measuring and clogging was a fairly commmon problem.
We were also all about efficiency with MOTN feeds, and would do similar to what @BeachMommy2B said, except bring the bottle with water already in it into our room with formula pre measured so we could just dump and go.
@BeachMommy2B , @livin541 , that's what we did with DS (room temp water plus formula) and will likely do that again. We did run it under hot water to sort of heat it up, which is I guess why DH thinks the Brezza is a good idea. I'm of the opinion that if it turns out we need something like that, we can order it on Amazon Prime. Also, the inaccuracy of measuring would definitely drive DH crazy (he's a scientist that works in a lab all day and gets out of shape if I mis-measure something in a recipe), so I'd say that totally nixes the Brezza from our future.
So, I had a bit of a freak out/scare this morning because I'm a FTM and don't know what everything is feels like! I had horrible upper back pain on my right side, like I had a few months ago that I talked about. Except it happened at 5:30 stopped around 6, fell asleep, got up to get ready for work and it happened again around 7:30 but also radiated to the front and my stomach went super tight. I couldn't get comfortable, drank some water and it sort of helped, and sitting on the edge of the bed rocking was all that helped. Also, TMI kept feeling like I needed to poop and would but still no other cramping or bleeding. It stopped around 8ish but I had called H and he was on his way home and a friend from work came over. I was a mess, really thought something was wrong. So we went to my OBs office and saw the PA which is fine she's super nice and informative. She said LO probably hit a nerve or was just right up in my ribs and the pain caused the contraction. Listened to his heartbeat and said it was perfect. she checked his position and he was like diagonal head down, definitely not in position or anything. So even though I feel a little silly, I feel better going because I just didn't know what was going on. Oh, and checked for UTI and kidney stones and it wa all negative. Going back home to lay down and relax.
Sorry for the the long lost...

@BabyMC517 glad everything is ok! With DD I had HORRIBLE RLP and I didn't know what that was and nobody had told me so I went to the ER in the middle of the night. I felt so silly afterwards, but I was (am) all about playing on the safe side.
Ugh so next to my parents house is this electrical box it's between their property and the neighbors. Well something happened and it legit started sinking because apparently a drainage pipe runs through it and when it floods the foundation was to soft and so it apparently started sinking. This has been going on for over a year and both my parents and their neighbors have been super frustrated because the HOA has been dragging their feet with fixing it and apparently there is some sort of oil in the electric box and if the electric box basically falls into the ground it could contaminate the water and the HOA/electric company could get sued by the EPA. Well the supposedly came out and fixed it all before Christmas. Well they didn't they only fixed the pipe under it so now they are supposedly fixing the box so it doesn't fall in, and now they've turned the power off with no warning. I'm just super annoyed. I would have appreciated a warning electric company! It's a gloomy day so even with the blinds open it's still dark in here.
That's all. Just coming to whine. Also on a side note, originally they were going to make my parents and their neighbors take down their fences and move their sheds (my parents shed is huge). Dad said it was in the HOA contract that they could make them move it (which he knew when they bought the house). So be sure to read your contracts people.
This is my last month of my first pregnancy and I am so excited. Starting to feel very uncomfortable, but its all so worth it. Soon I will meet the tiny baby that stole my heart ever since I saw the word "pregnant"
@nda_roxybabe Yes, I'm realizing that as well! I know I deff feel better at home, but I'd much rather be at work. The days pass by so much faster when you're keeping busy.
@nda_roxybabe Yes to the backing up! I have a looooong driveway and let me tell you, it's been a few weeks I haven't hit some flowers along the way down. It's just not possible!
I've been having a ridiculous amount of BH contractions since last night. So uncomfortable! I feel like my body is making up for the lack of them up until this week.
Also I feel baby's hiccups high up on my belly which leads me to believe that he is still breech. At 35 1/2 weeks that's starting to make me nervous but someone just said to me that when you've already delivered vaginally before that doctors will attempt vaginal breech deliveries. Anyone ever heard of this? I plan on asking my doctor about it next week but I had never heard of it until yesterday.

@vrj0522 my first was breech until 37 and then miraculously and very painfully flipped on his own. There's hope if baby is in fact breech! Spinning baby website exercises are what I swear made him change position. Not sure about vaginal delivery if baby is breech. May depend on the doc.
@vrj0522 I don't know, my doc was pretty firm that breech is an automatic cesarean, end of story. I think some may attempt the delivery but it isn't as common these days.
At 32 I still have a head in my ribs so we have this talk a lot recently.
@vrj0522 what I've read is it depends on the doctor if they will attempt a breech vaginal birth. From what I understand, the babies have to be treated or handled different which makes it riskier and why it depends on the doc.
@vrj0522 Maybe there's hope. My dr confirmed yesterday that LO is still head down. But I swear I feel hiccups up by my right ribs, where his butt is lodged. Maybe he is having full body hiccups w/ so little room left? *not a doctor*
I sure hope that's what it is @NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot! DD was breech at 32 weeks but when I had my 36 week scan, she was head down and I never even felt her flip around. I am hoping something like that happens here. We do have a growth scan next week and I am really hoping to see his head in my pelvis!

@vrj0522 Has a MD or ultrasound confirmed baby is breech? There's still time for him to flip if he is. I'd recommend doing pelvic exercises to help move him into place. I think breech deliveries are a lot riskier (for baby) which is why so many OBs may feel cesarean is safer if breech. Like someone said, delivery is different for breech babies. Ask your OB. Maybe you could look into a different practice that would be more accepting of breech delivery?
@vrj0522 Maybe there's hope. My dr confirmed yesterday that LO is still head down. But I swear I feel hiccups up by my right ribs, where his butt is lodged. Maybe he is having full body hiccups w/ so little room left? *not a doctor*

I believe butt hiccups are called farts
This kid has some serious digestive issues going on now. Obvi, he takes after his father.
@mamatowildones@nda_roxybabe I ended up getting a keyfit 30 magic something or other. It was 70 dollars off on the chicco website which kicked amazons butt. I didn't want to risk it and then end up having to buy a second base. Thank you for your help!
I am so far behind so sorry to just randomly jump in. @Kipperoo We had/have a baby brezza and we completely love it! I bought it as a gift to myself when I had to throw in the towel on bfing. I did some testing to verify it was doing the correct amount of formula for the bottles and followed the instructions on cleaning and maintenance to keep it running smoothly. I liken it to heated seats. Necessary... no, but awesome... YES!
@jayandaplus - We saw him breech at 30 weeks via u/s and dr felt for him at 32 weeks and he still was. This week we didn't even try since we're having a scan. I have been doing a few minutes of pelvic exercises the last few days but haven't really gotten serious about them. I guess I'm still hoping he just flips around on his own. In my area you won't find a new provider beyond 28 weeks pregnant so a new provider is not even a consideration, although tbh, I trust my team of doctors so much that whatever they recommended I would be fine with. I rotate through a team of 4 and there is one that is getting close to retirement and I almost think that if no one else would, he might be the one willing to try a breech vaginal delivery. I'll see what the scan shows and what the doctor I am meeting with next week says if baby is still breech. I meet with the older doctor the following week so if still breech by then, I'll talk to him about potential options too.

@vrj0522 my OB offers to do an external version. (They basically attempt to turn the baby from the outside by pushing on your stomach. It can be painful from what I've read.) It apparently has a higher success rate with STM moms but you can't of had a previous csection. It also has to be done in the hospital in order to monitor the baby's heart rate.
@Louise_Belcher , I do love me some heated seats! ;-) Maybe this will be on tap to gift to myself if (when?) breastfeeding fails for me again this time...sigh...I guess there is hope it could be different, but with a 36 week delivery, the odds are already stacked against me!
I know baby is head down (has been for a long time, somehow), but occasionally I'll feel hiccups under my right ribs. I think they just get them so hard their little body shakes and it's truly just the butt bouncing.
Today has been stressful and buuuuusy and I totally ended up with some BH as a result. Sorry baby! Ugh.
I have been MIA for the last couple weeks. Work and life have been so busy. I have a ton to catch up on but from what I've read so far everyone seems to be doing pretty well. I'm glad! I too am super uncomfortable. Can't believe were so close to the end. Ok now ill go try and catch up...
@mamatowildones I did about 36 hours before I went into labor. But I also decided to gorge myself on dried apricots which may have been the more likely suspect
Anyone remember how soon, if at all, they experienced frequent/loose stools before labor?
I feel like I experienced loose stools here and there for several weeks before. I would go back between being really constipated and then having diarrhea-like stools. That didn't change right before birth. They never got looser the day or two before or anything like that.
Me: 38 DH: 36 Married 8/27/2011 BFP #1 9/28/2011 DS born 5/22/2012 BFP #2 4/24/2013 m/c 4/25/2013 at 4w BFP #3 1/31/2014 DD born 10/14/2014 BFP #4 1/20/2016 m/c 2/12/2014 at 7w2d BFP #5 8/19/2016 DS2 born 4/29/2017 BFP #6 3/7/2018 EDD 11/18/2018
@mamatowildones I've never heard of looser stool as a sign of impending labor? Mine changes base on what I eat.
As for positioning of the baby with hiccups, I thought LO was head up as I felt him practice his breathing higher up. Then a few minutes later I felt it low and high at the same time. Now I'm confused lol. I plan to ask at my 34wk appt how to tell!
I caught up on the thread while sitting at ob and there was alot to read! I think it was @kipperoo talking about the brezza, i remembered the story about the brezza too so it must have been on here but i would be worried about using it.
I cant remember the rest to tag about stuff but i wanted to share...
A few days ago someone broight up polyhydro something (i cant remember the ending- pregnant brain) and i was never officially diagnosed with it but had ultrasounds three weeks in a row bc b had so much fluid. They talked about it and kept monitoring, but today it was back to normal!!!! The babies were both measuring 4lbs 9oz (so no more discordance!), fluid was normal again, i gained weight and they told me i could start doing more activity again!! It was such a good appointment! I also dont have to go back for two weeks and was able to schedule my last three appointments (if we get that far) so it finally feels like the end is in sight!!
Thanks for the responses! I noticed it today but I'm hoping maybe it lasts a few more weeks and isn't an immediate sign. I didn't have that with the boys so it caught my attention as it's usually the opposite of my daily experience
@Jkp7749 that's great! I ope they continue to check though. I have the poly diagnosis and mine has been normal and then gone right back up. That's why I keep going in 2x a week because it hasn't stayed normal. Glad the babies are looking great! We are getting there!
