@AnnaS930 -- that sounds like how my DH often tries to move on from conflict. It drives me nuts and we're trying to work on it. But I need acknowledgement and resolution. Not just to be consulted on how to do something! I'm not sure why that seems to be enough in his world to resolve a conflict, but in mine we need apologies, a plan to do better, and a kiss. I hope your future discussions on fanduel lead to more resolution for you...
@Sporty1216I wrote back and said "I apologize for overreacting about $50, but I do plan to discuss FanDuel later" like.. here's your warning. This isn't over! bahaha
@AnnaS930 Side note on Inside Out. My DH and I finally watched it (and loved it) last week. Since then he will randomly start singing the 'TripleDent' commercial and start laughing at himself. I kid you not, he cracks himself up every time!

Confession - I haven't seen it! I should really watch it before we go to the party, it will be much more fun. I just suggested it to my sister as a theme because the kiddos are obsessed (Harper - the girl - wants to be anger for Halloween. Man, I love her spirit!).

Best. Movie. Ever. But I'm biased. When it came out, we had recently moved from Minnesota. I'm not ashamed to say that I was sobbing in the movie theater because everything in that movie hit home for me. I'm 33 and still homesick. Also, Bing Bong is amazing.
@TNgoldengirlI'm OBSESSED with that picture! That's exactly how I picture their Halloween this year, I can't wait. What a sweet family!! You guys have all convinced me - we will be watching Inside Out this weekend even if we have to go buy it. Also, in FFC I was dreading the weekend with my husband working the whole thing.. now I'm looking forward to it for snuggling up with Emmett for a movie. The boy can snuggle.
@AnnaS930 thank you! It's a great movie for the whole family! But def a tear jerker. This year DD is all about Toy Story and asked yesterday if we could order her costume already.
I now feel way over-prepared guys. We bought the car seats, swings and a new PNP in addition to stocking up on diapers already. In my defense, it was all because of the trade-in event at Babies R Us. Although I do catch myself wondering if that will jinx me sometimes. Ugh.

@UnwritteN12Oh don't be ashamed! I was the girl in it. We moved when I was 12 and I became that girl to a T! It brought back so many memories, both painful and happy. (My DH was so confused why I sobbed so much during the movie.) It was the roughest time our family went through (mainly because of the time it took me to adjust) but I still say that move made me who I am today. Strong, independent, outgoing, and resourceful. I always tell my parents thank you so much for sticking through it and not running back 'home' like I begged them to for so many months.
@LakeR2014 - Agreed. Your words couldn't be more wonderful. I'm a Navy Brat (we moved every 3 years) and it really did shape me to be who I am today. But it never gets easier. We were in MN for 12 years, I met DH, we bought a house and had kids there. Even though the move to TX was the best move that we could make for our family due to an amazing job opportunity, it still wasn't easy. I love that you thank your parents for that!
@UnwritteN12- A. You can't jinx things, don't overthink it... B. We haven't bought much because our son turned 1 in December and we still have a houseful of stuff! We have the swing, kick piano, bumbo, jumperoo, excersaucer, glider, changing table, pack n plays, etc etc etc. We are buying a crib off of my sister since Emmett's crib will convert into a toddler bed and just haven't seen her yet to get the crib. We will buy our first outfits after the anatomy scan - if it's a boy we will buy a few outfits and try to hold back since we have a million clothes, if it's a girl - all bets are off!
I'm in maternity pants or yoga pants. No maternity tops yet (except one black one that doesn't really even look maternity. Just like the way it fits! I also Love Inside Out. Such a good movie.
@UnwritteN12 It must be the age because I feel like I have to tell my 6-year-old to breathe. "Good morning! Please start your morning things. Go sit on the potty. Please sit on the potty. No, don't talk to your stuffed cheetah, go sit on the potty. Okay go wash your hands. Your hands. Wash them please. NO, you may not just go grab your Monster High doll. Brush your teeth now. Brush them. BRUSH THEM." AHHHH!!!
The ultrasound confirmed today that I lost my baby. This is my first lost and it sucks! I would have been 11weeks on Saturday. Thank you to everyone for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. I really hope I'm the last loss out of the September moms.
I'm so sorry to hear this. Please take care of yourself.

@LakeR2014 Two boys! I was hoping for a boy/girl set, but I'm just thrilled they both appear to be healthy. That's all that really matters.
I'm very afraid that I'm going to somehow slip up or DH is going to find out some other way. He says it's not the end of the world if he does, that it's "part of the game," but I know he really wants to find out when they're born. Luckily, we were going for gender neutral everything (clothes, nursery) to start with and we've got the names picked out and settled on, so at least neither of those will be an issue.
@RedMar Yes, I want to know the sexes. DH prefers to be surprised but I'm impatient and excited.

Are we living the same life?! This morning I finally told my kids (knowing already that they were going to miss the bus) that I was no longer going to tell them what they had to do in the morning. It's easy. Use bathroom. Wash hands. Brush teeth. Get dressed. Pack backpack. Put shoes on. Eat breakfast. I told them that they're going to have to figure it out on their own and, if they miss the bus, they'll have hope that DH can take them to school. Ugh. Now, come Monday morning, I'm aware that my inner control freak will take over and be hounding them once again. But I like to think that, maybe one day, they'll take me seriously....
@UnwritteN12 I told my daughter one morning that I was giving her the responsibility of getting herself ready all by herself. That included potty, wash hands, teeth, and get dressed. I told her all the positive things! "I believe in you! You are so big! You can handle this!" and I confidently strolled downstairs to pack my lunch and her lunch. Fifteen minutes later I go upstairs to see what stage she's on (surely she was at the last stage, getting dressed) when I see herself standing in the bathroom, holding her toothbrush, admiring herself in the mirror. She hadn't done ANYTHING YET. I went from sweet Disney Princess mom to Ursula in about half a second.

DS told me this morning he's naming the baby "JoySadnessDis..." we said well let's name the baby together :-) Bing Bong song does randomly play in my head like the gum commercial!
So I step away from my desk for a minute and when I come back, there is a voicemail from my midwife's office. They left the message at 12:36 PM. I listen to it and it's a woman saying it's very important that I call her back. Tells me her name. I start worrying. I call back, and it says that the office is closed at noon on Fridays. I get the answering service. I explain the situation and the woman cops an attitude with me. I tell her the people called me literally less than five minutes prior. She puts me on hold and when she comes back, she tells me that nobody answered. Told me to call back Monday.
WHAT. THE. ACTUAL F***. Seriously? Even if this is about something financial, or insurance, WHO IN THE HELL CALLS A PREGNANT WOMAN, LEAVES A MESSAGE SAYING IT'S IMPORTANT THAT SHE CALL THEM BACK, AND THEN MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR HER TO REACH THEM ALL WEEKEND? WHAT THE F*** IS THAT?
I messaged their Facebook page AND e-mailed them because that's some BULLSHIT.

@runningisradThat is not cool!!! You do not tell that to any woman, let alone a pregnant one! I hope they get back to you ASAP. I'm glad you tried via FB and email too.
So answering service is a big fail. The branch I go to is open all day Friday now. They were just at lunch. Got ahold of the office. The woman who called me had left for the day so they had to find my chart.
My last urine cultures were high. I have a UTI. They wanted to get an antibiotic called into my pharmacy. That's it. I started crying when they told me because I was so relieved. I emailed them back and told them I suggested training their staff not to leave a message like that and then peace out for the weekend.

@jennm205@AnnaS930 thank you, ladies. Maybe this is why I've been peeing 6 times a night? I figured that was just, you know, being pregnant. I feel kind of silly now for how I reacted, but I was seriously freaked out.

Regularly say the same or similar things to my almost three year old. Whyyyyy can't she just get her ish done so we can have an easy morning ever?
I finally did it! I got this code to work! I went into the project thinking it was going to be a super simple but noooo so many problems but it is finally done. I already had a kitkat this morning or else I'd reward myself right now. Can I be rewarded with leaving early?
I'm sitting here emailing local Chinese places to see if anyone could make General Tso's tofu. I miss it so much.. there was a Chinese restaurant near college in Rhode Island that had it on the menu - it was fantastic and just as good as when I used to eat chicken. Seems like they should be able to use the sauce on something else, right? Even if it's kinda contaminated by frying with non-veggie things.. I just want it.
I got our first box of diapers this week! Weird! We decided to buy one box per month so we can spread out the expenses a bit more. I'm a FTM and I couldn't help opening the box and seeing those tiny #1 diapers. I got so excited thinking baby will actually pee and poo in these things! Becoming a mom is weird.
Aw @AlwaysAuntNeverMom- good idea and how sweet. When I went to get my maternity clothes back out from #1's closet, they were in the same tote as his newborn clothes was. I held up a few onesies and couldn't believe that my son was ever that small and that another will soon be wearing these tiny little outfits. It's so hard to grasp, but the little things really do start making it more real.
They will pee and poop in them.. and out of them! Those newborn poops, especially if breastfed - Everywhere.

Becoming a mom is so weird. I realized that a good portion of my time is spent thinking about my kids poop. Did she poop enough? Does she have to go? Does it hurt? What did she eat to turn it that color? Is this food going to make her constipated? And so on. Personally, I think diapers are not a good thing to stock up on before the baby is born. My second daughter had sensitive skin and could only wear Huggies. Especially as a first time mom, because you might hate the way certain diapers smell. Or something else like that. I've never heard of anybody who regretted stocking up on them though.
Stupid pregnancy hormones. Here I am about to tear up thinking about tiny little onesies. And the fact that my big kids are growing up so quick. And then the fact that we'll soon have two tiny kiddos again to fill those tiny little onesies. *do not cry at work, do not cry at work*
@LeahKnits Most places like Wal-Mart and Target will exchange diapers with no reciept, so I don't think it's a problem if you stock pile a brand you end up not being able to use. We had to exchange several boxes of size 1s for DD because she outgrew them before we got through them all.

Yup! Should be all good as long as they're unopened
We still return diapers all the time - the weight ranges get really large and Emmett starts leaking about 1/2 way through the weight even if he hasn't quite hit the bottom of the next range. Sams club and Target have both been incredibly easy
Regarding the tiny baby clothes, DH was the one that picked out the onsie we bought LO this week. When he held it up for me, I first thought it was too small to buy. Then when I looked at the size, it was a 0-3 month, which DD didn't get into until about 6 weeks! I keep thinking about how teeny, tiny this baby is going to seem.
Ummm... newsletter from my local gelato place.. Easter weekend they'll be bringing back Cadbury Creme Egg Gelato. You better believe i'll be there. YUM!

That is so good to know! Thanks for correcting me.

I can't wait to start buying teeny, tiny, baby clothes! Everything is so cute when it's that size. Probably won't be buying anything for a while, because after 3 girls we're pretty much set for girl clothes. But boy clothes are a while different story. We won't find out the gender until the beginning of June. Anatomy scan will be earlier, but we're going to do a gender reveal party when we're in Massachusetts with DH's family. I did make some little white booties for baby. I put them on the kitchen counter when I can see them all the time.
