@mamajen10414 I am so very sorry to hear that. My first loss was my hardest. Go easy on yourself. I agree with a prior comment, allow yourself to feel whatever you are feeling. Take care.
We're applying for a home loan and I'm really excited and nervous about it. We have 3 kids (this will be our 4th) and live in a small 2 bedroom duplex. Moving into a home of our own that's actually big enough will be awesome. I'm thinking that if everything goes well, we'll be moved before baby is born! I started thinking about making a list of what I want in a house, and am worried that it'd be way to long to be reasonable. I don't even know for sure what my biggest priority is!
Ladies what are you doing with your pre pregnancy clothes? Boxing them up and hoping they will fit again someday? Getting rid of them? I have a drawer of pants that are only going to last me like another week
Totally keep! I just went through my pre pregnancy clothes in January and got rid of a ton of stuff. A lot was too big and others too young lol. I don't need club wear anymore thank goodness
@lovelylauren86 I'm not a floral fan, but they're both pretty. I prefer #2, though. It's bold and different. #1 is more traditionally Easter-y looking, though, if that's what you're going for.
My random of the moment is that I just realized my anatomy scan should be 2 appointments from now (next is Monday), assuming they keep me coming in every 4 weeks. Time is flying! It's hard to believe I've only got a little over a month to go until I'm halfway through my pregnancy. We've come so far, ladies!
I got a sex guess for my babies at my last ultrasound, so I'm looking forward to seeing if it's confirmed, but I'm worried about DH seeing the screen and figuring it out and having his surprise ruined (he's team green) or the tech accidentally giving it away.
I think I may ask the tech to write down the sexes and put it in an envelope to open later so I don't have to have DH leave the room while they confirm that part for me, assuming we get through the scan without it accidentally being spoiled.
@lovelylauren86I like the second one. I think that'll work for Easter but can last into the summer too.
@MojieJoWhat was the guess!!?! I give you credit for being able to find out and not spill the beans to DH. My aunt did the same thing for her second. She found out but my Uncle didn't want to know. She managed to keep it hidden the whole time from everyone. She said for her it was easier to only refer to the baby as 'Peanut' and nothing else. It's the only way she was sure not to trip and say 'he'.
Sent my husband angry texts when I saw that he spent another $50 on FanDuel with his uncle. Back story: They started playing FanDuel (online betting on sports basically) and I told him It's a scam, a few people win big and everyone else loses, but he assured me he wouldn't spend much money. He and his uncle texts ALL DAY LONG about it now. His phone vibrates every couple of minutes, he knows it irritates me but never puts his phone down unless I ask. GAAAAH! So I ask why $50 to Paypal, he says "Have to even up with Uncle David for FanDuel. That's why I'm not going to casino tonight, spent too much money" ... um, ok. Or maybe I thought you were going to the casino because you work late 3 nights a week leaving me alone with the kiddo and it would be nice to be home on a night you actually have off. Smoke was coming out of my ears. I texted "Wow." and waited.. no reply, so I sent 3 more "I think you guys need to realize how much money you're losing on this site. It's a scam. You're falling for it. And wasting our money" all broken up into sentences.
That was at 8:30. Silence from him since. I'm waiting until 11 then blaming pregnancy hormones (which are not at all involved in this) for me overreacting.
There's my rant for the morning. He's a really great husband/dad, but the constantly being on his phone and spending money when I'm trying to be more reasonable just is wearing me thin!!
@AnnaS930 - Boys are dumb. End of story. I'm sorry. I'd be ticked off too and think you have every right to be angry. If it makes you feel any better, I'm going on day #3 of not speaking to DH because he's a dumb boy. Not my finest adult moment but I'm trying to prove a point. And even though I have actual reasons for being mad, the hormones aren't helping me make good decisions.
Thanks @UnwritteN12- he just replied and I got all excited for my apology. The text read "Hmm no idea why the saw just stopped. Can't seem to figure it out. Also how do you load the skil saw blade? It wouldn't be as efficient but better than nothing"
...
seriously?! We just going to pretend you didn't get the 3 texts above your saw issues? I just had to laugh to myself and walk him through using the saw (I was raised by a handyman, he was raised by parents who hired all of the help they needed). Guess it's blown over

@AnnaS930 I feel your pain and don't think you should back track at 11 and blame on hormones, unless Hubby has a set allowance of so much money a week that is his to spend and he can spend wherever. But otherwise, I think he deserved it and needs to wise up - especially for $50.
My DH and his cousin's used to do weekly competitions on Fanduel and it would drive me nuts! Thankfully though the weekly games were only a $1 buy in so he'd drop $10 in the account and I wouldn't see another hit on our account for a couple months. However, and this is one part of NYS I love, they banned FanDuel here for not paying taxes/being illegal gambling so I no longer have to deal with that.
@runningisrad I saw your name on the "popular name" post and I just sent you a friend request on FB. We have two mutual friends. I'm not a creepy stalker I swear!
@LakeR2014- This started as a few dollars during football season. It was not a big deal.. they'd each put $5 in per week, play 2 $5 games, usually lose 1, and win the other and get their money back. Then they were texting throughout the week and he told me they had started playing basketball as well.
Well.. football is over and they're still going strong, and clearly not nearly as good at basketball. Like - this is how these things works. It's like at the casino. Don't keep dumping money into the slots assuming your luck will turn around. Yes - some people win a couple hundred, but a handful of others are losing thousands for them to do so. The house always wins.
I've moved on from my anger for now. But the continuation of this FanDuel life will be discussed.
We finally bought something for this baby. Nothing big, a onsie, but it made the whole "we are having another baby" feel more real.
That's awesome. Still can't bring myself to buy anything yet. This pregnancy has been so (amazingly) symptom free that even at 13 weeks and even after having an ultrasound, it still doesn't feel real.

@PSUBecky23I'm having the same thought process here. I was at Target yesterday and saw some cute stuff, but I didn't grab anything because I'm still in shock/denial that everything is going so well and worried that the other shoe will drop so to speak. I have my next appt on 3/23 and if all is well, I might (might) grab some cute clothes then.

Thank you for all the advice on the clothes ladies. I will probably go through and pack away things this weekend.

@lovelylauren86 I second #1.

@lovelylauren86 #1 I think compliments your complexion more.
