Hi everyone! I’m Zoi. I’m originally from Long Island but now living in Greece.
Due date? 8/21, but doctor will confirm at first appointment.
How did you find out? We had been trying for a few months after a MC earlier this year. When my typical PMS symptoms did not appear, I knew something was up.
My partner and I have no other kids. He is a math teacher and I work for an NGO. We have a fur baby pup who is really a full grown dog. We really love living in a big city like Athens but are always daydreaming about life on an island.
How are you feeling? I tested positive for Covid last week which also coincided with my surfacing pregnancy symptoms. The flu symptoms are starting to taper and I’m feeling better. My doctor assured me that I’m not high risk and to not worry. My appetite has been really weird and honestly cannot think of one thing I want to ingest besides OJ!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? To breathe underwater!
Introduce yourself: Hi my name is Katie McCracken.
Due date? August 26th based on the calculator
I found out early because we have been trying so no cute story there.
I am a stay at home mom of a 3 year old boy named Blake. He is my world, I can't believe it's possible to love someone so much. I am currently going to school online to be a mental health counselor. My husband is a 4th grade math and science teacher.
How are you feeling? I am currently 5 weeks 4 days. I've been a little queazy and my boobs are very sensitive. My first ultrasound is next Tuesday and my anxiety is really high because we had a loss in July. They won't let my husband come and I'm so anxious about there not being a heartbeat and I'll be alone.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? I would love to be able to fly.
@zzz2022 I am so jealous! Greece sounds like a dream right now. What a life!
@Katek819 I totally understand loving your kid so much it feels impossible. I had one kid for 5 years before having our second and that time together was so special. It was hard to imagine our dynamic changing with another baby around. But it's true what they say, your heart expands. Didn't know how that could be possible. I love them both so much it feels like my heart is going to explode sometimes.
Introduce yourself: Hi all I’m Rachel. I’ve been lurking since my BFP but didn’t feel comfortable introducing myself until after I had my first US.
Due date? 8/10 but I have to have a planned C so it will likely be the end of July.
How did you find out? Turned a digital on the day of my missed period.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I have one little girl who will be 3 in January. No pets right now. I like to read and go for walks in my neighborhood. My fiancé works full time and is happy with me continuing to be a SAHM and student.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Nauseous all the time, no food sounds good except chips and salsa at night. My first US was today and we got to see the HR.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Time travel. I would love to have one last conversation with my father.
Introduce Yourself: I'm 32 and a SAHW to my husband of 14 years (in January). We currently live in Florida.
Due date? Calculator says August 28th
How did you find out? We were waiting for my period to start to move onto our 4th medicated cycle. Instead, we got a positive test. And then many more as neither of us believed it.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This is our first child and we've tried unsuccessfully in the past as well. We have 4 cats (2 are foster failures), I enjoy reading and baking.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I'm very nervous. We have our first scan with our RE next Tuesday after 3 betas. I honestly didn't think we'd get here without IVF so I'm still a bit in shock. As for symptoms, it's mostly fatigue, sore nipples, and a little bit of heartburn. I do go from not being hungry to starving pretty quickly and I no longer find sweet things as enjoyable as I did before.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Being able to talk to animals.
Introduce yourself: Hi! I’m Ashley Simek. Living in fort myers, florida.
Due date? August 4th 2022
How did you find out? IVF!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) first baby, tried for almost 3 years and had successful first embryo transfer. Have a dog, a puggle named Chloe who is our baby girl.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) first appointment was good! Measuring good and heartbeat was 123. I’m so so so anxious and nervous. Next appointment is Thursday so once that one goes good I think I’ll feel more relaxed. Have no major symptoms!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Would love to have the ability to talk to my dog hahahah
How did you find out? Took a pregnancy test at 3wk6d, as I had COVID like symptoms and knew pregnancy was also a possibility.
I did end up testing positive for COVID as well. It was a rough first week! I have had one previous pregnancy and my son is now 4 years old.
My first appointment isn't until January 10th. I've been waiting in anticipation to find out if everything is going well. So far I've had a ton of breast soreness, and a ton of nausea. Constipation, bloating, tiredness. It's been a rough few weeks.
I'm thankful to be pregnant and trying to enjoy the moments when I'm feeling well.
@starkette I have to have a planned C section bc ***TW. of my ectopic that ruptured.end TW ****They had to take a chunk out of my uterus and my OB said depending on the size will determine if I can go to 37 or possibly 38/39 weeks.
Introduce yourself: Hi Everyone! My name is Priscilla, this is my second time on Baby Bump app and hoping for success. Just trying to think positive thoughts. I’m originally from NY, but moved to Nebraska a little over a year ago. It’s a very big change and just trying to build a solid community of friends.
Due date? 8/4
How did you find out? I had a feeling I was pregnant again so I took a test and it was positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This will be my first child. I’m currently working for a software company based out of Columbus Ohio and I am completely remote. I live with my partner on a small acreage with our dog.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m doing well emotionally, however I’m suffering from waves of morning sickness all day and night and feel exhausted this week. All I want to do is sleep and rest. It’s been a real struggle to find motivation to so my work unfortunately. All I want to do is rest in bed. Haha.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? I’d like to be able to possess a super power to heal people, animals and plants around the world.
@wigglyicecream oh wow, that sounds really rough to go through. Hope everything goes well this time. I understand the anxiety that comes with a previous pregnancy not going as planned.
Hi! I’m Callie, I’m a first time momma and I’m due around August 19th!!
How did you find out? I have used an app to track my period for years and I am never ever late. Picked up a pregnancy test on the way home from work, totally not expecting anything but took it “just to be sure”. Not even a full minute later I got two little lines. Ran into the living room, told my husband and immediately took a different brand’s test. Best Christmas surprise! Lol.
Tell us about yourself: My husband and I have a miniature dachshund, Charli Grace, who is truly the “biggest” 10 pound diva out there! She loves to go on stroller rides and can always be found snuggling on the couch. I am a 5th year Kindergarten teacher, and love “my” 21 littles! My favorite thing about my classroom is having the platform to show and teach my students about inclusion, as we have several students in our class family with special needs and learning disabilities.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) First few weeks, I was just exhausted from everything. Recently, I am constantly nauseous or sick and can’t manage to eat much of anything - it’s miserable! My first appointment is actually a phone call, and then I’ll be able to schedule the “real” first appointment to see our baby!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? I would LOVE to be able to teleport!!
Tell us about yourself: I have a son (16) and a daughter (4), my husband and I have been married for almost 5 years. This pregnancy is deju vu of my daughter…same due date. But this one has me a little nervous having just turned 40 😬
How are you feeling? Surprised, tired, frequent heartburn, and more tired
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Teleportation so I could travel anywhere
Hi! I’m Meagan, 23, and I’m pregnant with our first baby. It feels weird to actually write that because my husband, Owen, 23, and I are keeping it quiet for the first trimester.
I’m due August 31st, so I just barely am in the August ‘22 club. So this is new to me as well as the app and trying to catch up with everything in the threads that I’m just now a part of.
My husband and I found out on Christmas morning. We were planning for our baby and Christmas Day just happened to be near the end of the Two Week Wait. We also were at my family’s place (a few ours away) until the night of Christmas Eve. We chose to have Christmas Day home alone together, because we never had, and we also always wanted to take the test when we could find out together. Well Christmas morning it wasn’t even faint (despite it being before my cycle was expected.)
I volunteer at church with kids and nanny some for a family as well. I love everything creative/artistic, the outdoors, fashion, reading, and doing things with my best friend/hubby (who I’ve been married to a little over 3 years and have dated for 6, as of the new year!) My husband loves outdoorsy things and is a Civil Engineer.
I am 5 weeks, 1 day, and next week (after the new year and closed offices) I will set my first appointment. I hope it can be scheduled between 6-8 weeks to hear the heartbeat and see everything is where it should be, and that my husband can be in the room too.
Currently my symptoms have been occasional mild cramps, tiredness (getting some naps,) slightly tender breasts, shortness of breath, bloating, more frequent urination, and I think the nausea is just starting to amp up. It’s a little hard to tell, since I get nauseous sometimes from having POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (not too serious/doesn’t affect pregnancy significantly in any way.)) Thankfully we’re getting to see both families and some friends around the holidays while I’m pregnant (but not yet getting all the nauseousness and food aversion symptoms that could be a giveaway.)
We’re excited! And even though planned, it doesn’t feel real yet! Despite buying maternity clothes all weekend (basic staples at Walmart, Cute ones thrifted from ThredUP, and a few baby moon ones from Amazon!) I’m eating really healthy while the food aversions aren’t there yet! I’m sure chicken and avocado will sound awful in a week or two!
I think healing or instant organizing would be cool superpowers, but I think teleportation would be the best! Think of all the gas money you could save!!
This is a bit of a long winded introduction, but based on my due date, I may be the last to the club! I gotta make up for lost time, I suppose!!
Introduce yourself: Hi everyone! I’m Jasmin. I’m from northern Virginia, but I live in London, England. (Currently home in VA for the holidays and so thrilled to have found a group of American moms/moms to be to bond with during this time!).
Due date? August 23rd 2022.
How did you find out? We had been trying to get pregnant using the Natural Cycles app, so I took a test on the first day of missed period (couldn’t wait any longer!). It was our first month trying so it felt pretty surreal seeing two lines pop up!
Tell us about yourself: I live in London with my husband (British/Portuguese). We both work in the financial services industry. We got married this summer having postponed from summer 2020. We recently got back from a gorgeous honeymoon in Mauritius and are very excited to start our family.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m waiting for the British NHS to confirm my first appointment and feeling anxious about the wait til first scan. It felt like we got pregnant too “easily” since it was our first time trying so I can’t help but worry a bit. I’m 6w3d and nausea suddenly got real today! Trying to track down the stork candy everyone is talking about before I head back to England! In the meantime, sour candy straws/gummies are def helping with nausea!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Definitely teleportation. Homesickness is real and plane tickets ain’t cheap, y’all. Lol.
Introduce yourself: hi everyone! Another coming from Canada. I'm 37, mh is 40.
Due date? Aug 17
How did you find out? We'd been trying. Positive at 10dpo. TW: 2 recent chemical pgs, so we were anxious to start sharing. This is my second bmb.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We have an almost 3 year old. A dog and a bird. I work ft.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Had our first ultrasound this past wed. Everything is on track . Queasy, tired and a lot of food aversions 🥴. Still nervous but trying to remain positive and optimistic
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Clean the whole house with the snap of a finger
I've been lurking for quite a while now.. so am fairy up to speed on all the threads. Hi everyone!
Hi Meagan! That’s really cool that we have the same name and spelling AND due date! Best wishes on your pregnancy! I still need to catch up with intros, but I was curious where you are from?
How did you find out? Husband and I decided to make a baby. Within a few days I was fairly sure we were successful, but I waited a couple of weeks to take a test. My intuition was validated.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I was a speech pathologist in a nursing home until covid and my last pregnancy happened. Now I chase my 1-year-old toddler around and teach yoga. I also love to hike and I do a lot of gardening.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’ve processed a lot since finding out. At this point I’m excited for what’s to come. Also intermittently nauseous. I have a call scheduled with a midwife to see if we’re a good fit for one another. I go the home birth route and when I had my daughter the midwife didn’t come, so I want to be sure I hire someone I can trust.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? The power to diffuse anger.
How did you find out? After three years of trying, i reached out to a few IVF clinics. They asked me to do some preliminary tests, like blood work on day 3 of my cycle, before coming in and my period just never came. I just knew I was pregnant. One day, I had a glass of wine (i would have been about 3w4d) and just turned into a tomato after half the glass. A few days later I took a test and it was super positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) First pregnancy! I'm not working, my husband has a demanding business and we're currently travelling for his work.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I found out i was pregnant the day of our flight to another country. That's a bit stressful as we'll be here a month, but I've already made an appointment with an OB for when I'm back. TBH I've been catastrophising a bit because it took us three years to get pregnant and now I just can't believe it's happening and i can't believe nothing will go wrong. This week i am doing a bit better though. Physically: super sore boobs that have already gone up a size, low grade nausea all the time (no vomiting or anything), a bit of heart burn, a bit of bloating, sometimes i have such a strong metalic taste in my mouth that my husband smells it.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Definitely reading minds.
*Introduce Yourself:* I'm 36 (almost 37) and live in Canada.
*Due date:* My app tells me August 22nd, but unconfirmed by a medical professional so far.
*How did you find out?* I felt like something might be different when I craved Chinese food (which has never happened in my life), and my nipples felt like they are were going cut through the fabric of my winter outdoor attire while out on a walk. I took a test that appeared negative, but the next day after a second test and a clear line, I saw the original test did have a faint line. I told my partner on NYE; he thought I had COVID and didn't believe me for I good five minutes that it was a pregnancy test.
*Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)* We got engaged on December 27th; I found out that we were pregnant with our first baby two days later. We weren't trying and I also have PCOS, so I assumed when we did try, it wouldn't be easy. I own a property management company and work as a conference planner. My partner is a lawyer. We have two dogs, love home renovation projects; being outdoors skiing, hiking, running/walking; and travelling.
*How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)* I'm in disbelief and feel like I grew up in a matter of days. Most of my friends have had kids, and I wasn't sure I ever would. My current symptoms are the return of my 22-year-old-boob (this time with wild nipple pain, so it's a look, don't touch situation), some mild abdominal cramping, a heightened sense of smell, mild shortness of breath climbing stairs at home, getting really hot during workouts, and I'm so thirsty. My first appointment is on January 5th. Generally, I feel calm and excited. However, I'm more nervous about the symptoms I don't have but thought I should have. I find myself looking up, "Is something wrong if I'm not experiencing _______."
*GTKY Fun fact:* Tell us what your superpower would be? My superpower is parallel parking. I firmly believe I could parallel park a cruise ship between the lines. A superpower I wish I had would be the ability to teleport.
@lovey122 my H thought I was handing him a Covid test as well 🤣

Introduce yourself: My name is Taylor. I'm 28 and live in north Louisiana
Due date? August 13
How did you find out? We were trying so I bought a test. Was not planning on taking it quite so early, but I started to feel sick so thought I would give it a try. Got a positive at home test at 3 weeks + 2 days
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have a 3.5 year old daughter and an Australian Shepherd named Rey. I love to read!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Lots of anxiety this go around *TW* after a very early loss in September. Have been waiting to post until our first OB visit which was today. Everything looked great and I feel like a brand new person. Physically, I had severe nausea starting around week 5 (read: I threw up while driving my own car), but have felt much better the last week or so.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Invisibility! I am very introverted, so I would love to be able to get in and out of places without being seen. HA!
I have been lurking around this group for about 4 weeks now, so I'm excited to finally jump in the conversation!
Due date? August 19 according to my period tracker app
How did you find out? We were trying, I took a test when my period was 4 days late
Tell us about yourself: This is my first pregnancy, I’m 30 and just got married in September. I’ve been with my partner for 13 years. I work from home since march 2020 and he’s a frontline worker. I’m from a small town but living in Toronto for the last 5 years.
How are you feeling? I’m happy but nervous. It’s been really hard keeping it a secret because I usually share everything right away, especially with family. This week I’ve started to be really tired and really queasy.
super power would be? First thing that comes to mind is that I’d love to be able to swim like a fish, with these winter months I’m really missing hot summer days on the water!
Hi there. I’m a bit late to this board- been lurking a little. I’m 32 and my husband is 36 and this will be our first child. We have been married for 9 years. We go to my PCP on Friday for a confirmation of pregnancy visit and to get a referral for prenatal care. All of this is new to us so I’m not really sure what to expect yet.
I’m an RN currently (but hopefully not for long) on night shifts at a Veterans hospital inpatient unit and my husband does construction. We have 4 dogs and 2 cats and some chickens and are excited to add a new member of the family.
Due date? From my calculations August 31st (just squeaked into Aug)
How did you find out? My phone app said my period was 10 days late so I took a test. And then another. And then another to be sure.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) So far I feel ok- just really tired which is normal for me because of night shifts. I’ve been bloated and had a couple of heartburn episodes but no nausea or vomiting yet. Haven’t told anyone at work yet and just a couple of our friends know. Waiting to tell the parents until after I have an ultrasound. Excited and nervous about this journey!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Teleportation
Introduce yourself: I’m a bit late here too. I’m Mary, i live outside of Boston with my husband and two dogs. I’m 32 and my husband is 35, we’ve been married for just over two years. We conceived through IVF after trying for a year and experiencing one early loss earlier in 2021. We’re very excited to be on this journey!
Due date? August 21
How did you find out? Since we conceived via IVF we’ve been monitored closely. we had two betas and one 6 week ultrasound where we saw the heartbeat.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) No other kids. We are an active, outdoorsy family that loves to ski, mountain bike, hike, camp and boat all with the pups!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) i’ve had a lot of morning sickness, some days of constant vomiting but others of just feeling nausea ours. Lots of headaches. Some days seem easier than others. Our next appt is an 8 week ultrasound on Monday and then hopefully we’ll graduate from our fertility clinic to an OB!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? The ability to do anything and never be out of breath or feel sore after!
Introduce yourself: Hello! This will be my first baby. My husband and I got married in 2020 though we were together for a decade prior! I'm 32 yo.
Due date? Based off last period-Aug 17
How did you find out? We were trying and the day before my missed period I has tingling/zinging sensations in my boobs so I jumped out of bed to take a test. 😬
Tell us about yourself. I love to be outdoors! Hiking, skiing, snowmachining, gardening, long walks. Also my lab is my best friend!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Excited and super scared. We planned on trying last April and I got pregnant a month ahead I had a missed MC in May. Baby measured 8 weeks 1 day when I was 8 weeks 3 days. So quite traumatic and confusing to see a baby as I expected but without a heart beat. I then had back to back chemical pregnancies this fall. Underwent all the testing, full karyotype for me and husband, tested for lupus, hormones and all came back normal. My OB said to chalk it up to bad luck. So I'm trying to be optimistic but trying not to be too hopeful. Symptoms have been mild. Just really hungry and major gag reflex currently.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Definitely to be able to communicate with animals!

First few weeks, I was just exhausted from everything.
Due date? 8/15
How did you find out? Missed period, took test
♡ Meagan
Lol.
Due date?
Due date? Aug 13
Due date? August 25, 2022

How did you find out?
We were trying so I bought a test. Was not planning on taking it quite so early, but I started to feel sick so thought I would give it a try. Got a positive at home test at 3 weeks + 2 days
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
My husband and I have a 3.5 year old daughter and an Australian Shepherd named Rey. I love to read!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Lots of anxiety this go around *TW* after a very early loss in September.
Tell us about yourself:
This is my first pregnancy, I’m 30 and just got married in September.
Due date?
