@msspoon12 Congratulations on twins and a successful FET! I feel you on the sore backside from the PIO shots, I have a pretty big bruise on my left side so I’ve been injecting on the right but now that side is super sore.
Introduce yourself: Hi!! I'm 31 years old. From PA. I'm an ICU RN.
Due date? August 10 based on LMP
How did you find out? Missed my period and having let down feelings/breast pain
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Husband and I have been married 5.5 years. We have a girl (almost 5-jan17) and a boy (almost 3- Jan 19). I was very active on tb my first and not as active the second time. Hoping to be active here this time. I like to listen to audiobooks, shop, walk, hike, spend time with my kids, camp in our camper. We also have a doggo. I'm in the ICU float pool and right now the need is covid, which is kind of daunting as I learned this news.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Kind of in shock. My h and I had mostly been ok with 2. Recently I had said that sometimes I think about having another. We had sex once 8 days before my period, during which time he did not pull out and here we are. I feel good physically. Just breast pain.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? To fly. I'd explore so much
Introduce yourself: hi! I’m 35 years old from Virginia
Due date? August 18
How did you find out? I had a very long journey and have been doing fertility treatments for unexplained secondary infertility since summer of 2019. I had an FET on 11/30 and took a pregnancy test and got my first positive this morning with a nice dark line. I know it’s early but I can’t help myself with the excitement, I’ve been waiting so long for this. I had 4 failed transfers before this of good looking, euploid embryos so this is an incredibly welcome surprise.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have a 5 year old daughter. I love riding my peloton which I just got in August, cooking and baking, reading, and going on long walks. No pets, we were going to get a puppy if this didn’t work because this was going to be our last cycle, but will be postponing that now!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I have my blood test on Friday so will be testing daily until then. I’m nervous but honestly even if this doesn’t stick I am so grateful I actually got pregnant that I’ll have the energy to keep going with this journey.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Invisibility…to be a fly on the wall.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) *TW* had a loss in September at 7 weeks and feeling anxious. Otherwise, very tired in the afternoon
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Teleportation would be pretty useful
Introduce yourself: HI everyone! My name is Libby, and I live in Alaska.
Due date? Aug 11th ish
How did you find out? Husband and I decided to stop being careful...sort of tried on a whim, I had a hunch, took a test and it was positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? I'm originally from Wisconsin, my husband and I moved to Alaska 3.5 years ago for my career (I'm a radiation therapist and we wanted some adventure!) We've been married for 4.5 years. I love horses and am fortunate enough to have one here along with a dog. The kitchen is also my happy place as I love to cook and bake. We also like to spend time outdoors hiking, biking, and skiing.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Ugh i feel so bloated! My first official appointment is after Christmas. I also had a lot of cramping at first...which I soon discoverered was not my normal PMS cramps. Emotionally I'm very excited, but nervous. I don't know what to expect quite yet.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? I would love to be able to teleport anywhere I wanted anytime!
How did you find out? Took a test the day after my missed period.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m an attorney. My husband and I have been married for 2.5 years, no kids and we recently got a puppy so we have our hands quite full at the moment.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) *TW* Experienced a loss (blighted ovum) in September at 7 weeks so can’t help but feel very anxious and cautious, but still trying to be optimistic and excited. Otherwise, just tired right now!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be 100% would love to have the ability to be invisible and be a fly on the wall sometimes!
Introduce yourself: Hi all! Experienced bumpy, here for another pregnancy. But this time I’m a surrogate 🥰
Due date? 8/19/22
How did you find out? Just took a test this morning at 6dp5dt. The IFs knew I would be testing before my beta hcg next week, so I FaceTimed them immediately to share the news.
Tell us about yourself: I have a husband and two kiddos of my own, and our family is complete! I work in L&D. Guess I don’t really have any hobbies at the moment, thanks covid.
How are you feeling? I’m cautiously optimistic. Physically, no symptoms as it is early. My bum is bruised and sore from the daily progesterone shots.
GTKY Fun fact: I would love to be able to teleport so that I could travel all over the world whenever I want.
Introduce yourself: Hello! My name is Danni, I am 32 years old.
Due date? I am not 100% on my due date but I believe it will be around August 15-18th. I have a little longer cycle (34 days) but started having positive tests on 12/5.
How did you find out? I started taking tests around 12/3 (because I have a problem, haha) and I swore I saw faint lines. I didn't believe it until they got darker on 12/5 as I have had a lot of false hope with the first response tests lately.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am from Southwestern Minnesota, very rural community. I have been married for 8 years and have 3 children, ages 6, 4 and 2 years old. I have been a probation officer for 9.5 years. My husband and I enjoy fishing but something new that we are getting into is having sheep! We purchased my husband's family farm this summer and bought 3 sheep. It has been a lot of fun and a learning experience for someone who has not grown up on a farm, haha!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I feel fine so far! Just a little cramping, more tired and more bathroom breaks. I went to the doctor today and they confirmed pregnancy and we are checking my progesterone as I have had had to take progesterone with prior pregnancies.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Like a lot of others, either teleportation or possibly time travel!
Wow so many new names! I love seeing the variety, here. Congrats to those who've had a difficult journey. @buffythevampireslayer I went through unexplained secondary infertility with our second baby, too. Took us 3 years and I was just about ready to start thinking about doing fertility treatments when we finally got pregnant. My daughter was 5 when our second was born, too! I love the age gap, actually. Yes some days I wish it was closer, but she's adores her sister so much and there's absolutely zero jealousy. She's a great helper. Now that she's 8 and her sister is 3, they are BEST friends.
@starkette thank you so much, I have definitely been nervous about the age difference, it was tough watching all the time go by and feeling like the gap was getting bigger and bigger. But now I’m just happy to be here and your comment gives me lots of hope!
Introduce yourself: Hi, I'm Casey. I live in Pittsburgh, PA
Due date? Calculator says August 12 (the day before my oldest son's birthday) I have irregular cycles though, and I'm thinking that might be a bit early.
How did you find out? I noticed my cycle had gone on for 34 days, and, while that's not too out of the realm of possibility for my cycles, I just had a feeling I should take a test. That 2nd line popped up immediately!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I've got two boys, 5 and 19 months. I'm a school photographer, which is such a fun job. Sadly, I might have to stop after having a third kid. It's just too unpredictable of a schedule sometimes.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I'm excited, but feeling a little bittersweet. My last baby that I miscarried at 14 weeks was supposed to be born this month. No symptoms or appointments yet. I just took my test today.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? It'd be cool to make plants grow.
Introduce yourself: Hi 👋 I’m Kelly from Oklahoma. I’ve been on a few BMBs and around previously on the TTC boards, but was most active in my DS1’s group, August 2019.
Due date? Guesstimating August 22
How did you find out? We weren’t tracking this cycle, but I started having heartburn last night which is always my first symptom. Tested last night and this morning to confirm.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have been married for 7 years. Pre-kids we traveled quite a bit but have stuck around home more the last few years. We have one son (2) who is the funniest little guy.
*tw* we have had several consecutive losses since DS1. Our most recent one was just in October and it was very hard on us. We had already found out the sex and named her, and it was just out of the blue.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Feeling ok I guess. We weren’t trying this cycle because I’m honestly not really in the right headspace for it yet. I think it will be very hard for us to feel excited/hopeful.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Definitely teleportation!
Introduce yourself: Hello! I'm Amber from Phoenix and I'm 31. I work as an underwriter for a major mortgage company
Due date? August 20th
How did you find out? Was using opks and tested the day my period was due.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Me and my husband D have been married 7 year, together 15. We're highschool sweethearts. We have a cat and 2 dogs, including the sweetest blind husky. We're big nerds, we're in a weekly d&d game and play board and video games together. I also until the pandemic played roller derby and then switched to going to skate parks. That's going to have to be on the back burner now though I might still go for casual skates around my neighborhood while my body allows it.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Nervous and cautiously excited. We didn't think we'd get pregnant as quick as we did so now all of a sudden it's very real. My have a blood test on Monday to confirm and will need to go from there. So far minor symptoms, I wouldn't call them cramps but a tight feeling around my uterus and low level nausea.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Oh talking to animals for sure.
HI I'm Amanda, I am 29 years old from Newfoundland!
Due date? August 8th
How did you find out? We have been trying. We were pregnant in October and had a mc at 5 weeks. Then got pregnant again right away.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?). I have a daughter who will be 4 in February. I am a nursing Instructor.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) My first daughter was born at 29 weeks. Then the mc in October. So I am a bit anxious, but hopeful. I have an appointment with my OB next week (High-Risk so I will be followed very close). Lots of symptoms lol, sore breasts, nausea, etc.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? I'd like to be invisible, would make for some fun stories!
@starkette I'm honestly so relieved to hear the age gap is not an issue for you! DS will be 4.5 when baby is born. I wanted the age gap to be 3-4 but before right when we were supposed to start trying last year (our goal was to start trying October last year) there was an announcement my company was being sold, & as the primary bread winner in my family, I had to find a new job. There were some bumps along the road, but ultimately it pushed our timeline back a year. I've been super anxious about how DS is going to react to a little being on the older side and very much used to being an only child.
@aukeev I'm so sorry for your loss It's normal to have a hard time being excited after such a difficult experience. That's totally valid. Glad you're here.
@knottie2df5c69cb032f8d4 I have a 23 weeker so I understand the anxiety that comes with a new pregnancy. **tw** especially since I had a loss in october** but we got through it and if we have another preemie at least this time we are prepared.
@buffythevampireslayer and @darkrose88 I think there are a ton of benefits to having kids with a bit of a larger age gap. I loved having all that special 1 on 1 time with my oldest. Plus, she had started asking about having a sibling so the timing was good for us. Then we ended up having a preemie and she was so patient and understanding and gentle. I feel like with closer ages, there's more jealousy and rivalry. There's none of that with my daughters, my oldest just wants my youngest with her ALL the time.
Introduce yourself: Hi, I’m Aubrey. And I live in South Jersey!
Due date? August 11th ish!
How did you find out?
My husband and I had been trying for about 6 months and thought we weren’t going to have luck on our own, so when I was 4 days late, and noticed some backaches, we took a test!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We just have one dog
I’m a high school teacher I love to hike and sew
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) We are excited but nervous bc it’s so early. Our first appointment will be January 3rd!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Teleportation!
@ambelance that's sweet that you and your husband play games together. I'm in a weekly virtual D&D game. It started off as a one-shot and went on for a year and a half! We're in a new campaign now. MH would like to DM a family session if we can get enough interested members, but time zones might make it difficult!
I was taking parkour classes since the summer, but I stopped once I got the positive test. Not sure if I absolutely had to stop now, but didn't want to risk it. So now my parkour instructor was the first to know after DH! 😂
@knottie6d106e1e7b6de9c7 welcome and congratulations on your positive test! I'm also a high school teacher and I like to sew as well! I teach physics. What do you teach?
@geshem thank you! Wow, I teach chemistry, both in the science world! I’m looking forward to sewing some things for the nursery as baby get closer! Are you planning on making anything??
@knottie6d106e1e7b6de9c7 yay science! By the way, if you change your profile name it'll be easier to tag you
Gosh, I don't know! What are you thinking of making? I'm still an amateur, really, and I don't have much experience making clothes, but maybe I'll try and embroider a onesie or something. If we have a girl I'll try my hand at making baby dresses, I think. I made a top for myself recently that I think could be scaled down to a cute baby dress. I have two boys now so no experience there! Lately my projects have been making bags and hand warmers for holiday gifts.
@geshem & knottie I can hand sew but can’t use my sewing machine to save my life haha.
I do embroider onesie! I’ve done a few for my sister and our next baby, but I’m also considering selling them on Etsy! I’d be happy to show you pics, I get all my ideas on Pinterest and do it all freehand (for the most part). Maybe we’ll have to get a craft thread going!
Introduce yourself: Good morning! Cautiously excited to be here with you!
Due date? August 15 based on LMP (cycles are a little long, but not long enough for obgyns to adjust due dates)
How did you find out? NTNP this cycle but still temping, and today, the day of my expected period, temp was higher instead of lower so I took a test and then BOOM, two lines
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Married for eight years to an awesome guy, two little boys who are 3 and a half and 6 and a half (#3 will be our last), I'm a professor, I love my job and I love volunteering at my kids' school, and also writing
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Happy 😊 No appointments yet. I'm going to a conference all weekend so I'll call the doctor's office on Monday.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Being able to fully recharge on little sleep
@paytonpedro Good to see you here! I remember you from TTC over the summer
@leahrnmom omg, I'm ALSO in Erie and also had sex only one time at what I thought was not a likely time to conceive!
Introduce yourself: Like many of you, I'm cautiously excited to be here!
Due date? August 21 based on LMP.
How did you find out? Took a test on Monday - negative. Period was supposed to arrive today, but no sign of it. Earlier today I was thinking I might like to enjoy a glass of wine this weekend, but wanted to be sure I was okay to. Took another test and BFP!
I decided that I'm not going to tell ANYONE right now. Not even my husband. I want to surprise him on Christmas morning. I already ordered a shirt for my son that says "Big Bro." I'll have him open it on Christmas morning and show Dada 🥰
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Married for about 4yrs, and we have an almost 2-year old. I'm a financial advisor and partial owner of my firm. As a busy Mama with a demanding career, I'm afraid I don't have many hobbies. I'm a total introvert, so I really just enjoy relaxing at home in my down time.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Excited, of course, but also nervous. *TW* I've had 1 MC and 1 healthy pregnancy. I'm cautiously hopeful. Feeling pretty normal right now. No appointment booked yet, but I'll call on Monday.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? I would love to be able to fly! Efficient travel is the dream!

Hi, I’m Aubrey. And I live in South Jersey!
Due date?
August 11th ish!
How did you find out?
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
We just have one dog
I love to hike and sew
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
We are excited but nervous bc it’s so early. Our first appointment will be January 3rd!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Teleportation!
Gosh, I don't know! What are you thinking of making? I'm still an amateur, really, and I don't have much experience making clothes, but maybe I'll try and embroider a onesie or something. If we have a girl I'll try my hand at making baby dresses, I think. I made a top for myself recently that I think could be scaled down to a cute baby dress. I have two boys now so no experience there! Lately my projects have been making bags and hand warmers for holiday gifts.
