I'm basically too pregnant at this point to watch any movies or tv shows. I was watching the movie Valentine's Day, thinking, oh a fun rom com, and the whole Julia Roberts story line left me absolutely sobbing.
I'm really glad I wasn't this level of hormonal when all the Christmas commercials were on.
@heatherlynn321 yes agreed! The other day I burst into tears at a commercial. MH watches me now if something emotional is going on in whatever we're watching to check for tears.
Today is my nephew's 14th birthday...how the heck is this kid 14 already!? I was a senior in highschool when he was born and I became an aunt for the first time, so I'm feeling a tad bit old today. We're going to my sister's house to watch the Superbowl and celebrate his birthday.
We put an offer in on a house today! This is the third offer we have made, so hoping it will stick but all the positive vibes and thoughts would be much appreciated!
Someone needs to remind me that I'm pregnant before I try to do anything physical. I was feeling really lazy so I decided to rake up some leaves, breathless and tired after 5 minutes. I finished it! However, next time I'll just nag DH to do it.
@drkoyya I feel that. I have been going through a battle with all the spiders in NY I swear and have decobwebbed at least 2 times this week and yet still they come back! But I am tiring myself out so quickly and my arms start hurting from vacuuming up in the corners and the ceilings.
@drkoyya I was out of breath sorting laundry today. I didn't actually realize how bad until DH asked me if I was ok. I think I would have fainted raking leaves! 😂
Currently watching the superbowl with dh. He's mega stressed and it's irking me. I want the chiefs to win so my hubs will be in a good mood. But I dont really do sports... so men. Also DS2 is having digestion issues so hes sitting on the floor grunting and pushing trying to poop. I'm just easily annoyed tonight. Oh, and my uncle was pronounced brain dead today, his heart was at 20%functioning so they are expecting him to be gone in the next 1-3 days.

I have a twin sister and her oldest will be 14 in a month, too. It definitely makes me feel old!
@mrswifeytoad sorry about your uncle. I hope you and your family can come to terms with his passing. ❤️
We spent the day at the ILs watching the game. We’re Niners fans, so it was not a happy outcome for us, and also MIL drove me crazy trying to parent DD by simply being louder than me. I’m glad to be home and going to bed.
Only watched the first half and halftime performance, but then we had to get DD to bed. She went to bed fine but woke up crying like crazy 2 hours later at 10pm (very out of the norm for her). DH went to settle her but she wouldn't calm down... she was crying and saying "I want to go to school right nooowwww" lol. But, he brought her to our bed and she was still very restless AKA none of us slept well. Normally, I drive her to daycare at 5:45 but she needed more sleep so DH will take her today closer to 7:30.
Work will be busy today and DH has classes tonight so I'm already exhausted!
So as a child I somehow never really watched that many "classic" childhood movies I guess so I really don't even know the plot of many very common disney movies. Well Saturday night DD wasn't feeling great and so we were watching Disney+ and she wanted to watch the Lion King. Yea, great choice, definitely shed some tears on that one as it was my first time actually watching it that I can remember. Also DD only watched the first half before getting distracted, but I had to watch it all once I was that invested.
@mrswifeytoad I'm sorry about your uncle, that wait is very difficult. We went through it with my aunt a few years ago.
My 3.5 year old complained through the first almost half of the game, wanted to watch his new favorite movie (which of course we hate and he's watched like a dozen times in the last month..) but they went down quickly so even though our Roku screwed up and didn't record the part we missed, we saw most of halftime show and all of the second half.

I'm. So. Tired. I drove 2 hours Saturday afternoon to go to Target (I don't have one locally), buy some adorable baby outfits, get my eyebrows threaded (also nowhere local), and attend a Friends themed party with my college girls. Since I can't even sleep great in my own bed lately and there was only a futon or air mattress available to me for staying over, I opted to drive the 2 hours back home Saturday night instead of staying over. I got home after midnight and then couldn't fall asleep right away. Then last night I stayed up to watch the Superbowl, and then couldn't fall asleep because my legs were so sore from being on my feet most of the day. Today I'm wearing compression stockings and hoping for an early bedtime.

I’m playing hooky today. I was going to take a half day anyways for a dr appointment later, but I slept terrible last night and I just couldn’t face my wonderful high schoolers. So I brought DS to school this morning and now I’m all set on the recliner, with my coffee, catching up on some Netflix. I feel like I haven’t had the whole house to myself for this long since before DS was born!
@bananapanda I can't believe you've never watched the lion king!! we'll have to give you the list of top 3 disney movies from childhood to make sure you've seen them!
@emlettuce ugh pink eye is the worst. I've gone to CVS minute clinic for it, just tell them you're pregnant because i think they will prescribe slightly different dose compared to if you're not.
@shamrocandroll 2 hours to a target?! I couldn't do it. I also went Target shopping this weekend for baby girl. First time I gave in, and it was fun!
I was MIA all weekend. I can't seem to make the time to get on here on the weekend!! Anyways, we had a superbowl party last night and it was a blast. I made pretzel foccacia bread, homemade pickles, and a dill dip. DH made wings and pizza. Had about 12 people over. DS1 and DS2 LOVED the attention and started doing touchdown dances on command. I went to bed as soon as the game ended and woke up to a clean kitchen. It was a super bowl miracle (thanks to my SIL).
@mamaqdubu The closest one is just under an hour. The party was 2 hours away, and those are the things I stopped to do along the way. And it's probably a good thing in the long run, haha. I can still do orders online, and it saves me from walking through the store and piling stuff I don't need into my cart (what I refer to as the Target $100 cover charge). When I lived in MA, I had probably 6 Targets within 30 minutes of me, so it was definitely an adjustment, haha. I still love to go into the store itself when I can, though!

@mamaqdubu & @shamrocandroll I went to Target last week, for me it's also an excursion as the closest one is just over an hour away. I specifically wanted a new bra or two, but it was the first trip where I caved and actually bought some cute baby clothes. Fortunately my husband stepped in and stopped me from buying any more. I always just look at things and/or add essentials to my registry, but other than a carseat this was my first baby purchase and it was pretty exciting. But all the clearance is so tempting! $5 for adorable three piece outfits, how can one resist?
I also overdid it on Saturday. My husband and I went to an event that was approximately an hour and a half away. It was fun and I saw a lot of people I haven't seen in ages and got a lot of congrats on the baby on the way etc. so I had a good time, but we got roped into staying significantly later than planned at an after party that we were originally going to skip, and then I had to DD and drive us home in the middle of the night. I was wrecked all day Sunday. Woke up with a killer headache that never quit, mostly laid on the couch and cried, couldn't nap though I tried, and didn't accomplish a single thing I needed to this weekend. I feel improved today, but not 100%, and a bit overwhelmed at the things I feel like I need to do that didn't get done this weekend, but I think I got more done in the hour before work this morning than the whole weekend combined, so at least there's that.
I'm still recovering from spending the entire day at my ILs' house yesterday. Also, my mom has to put her dog down today and I'm dreading having to explain it to DD. She spends a lot of time at my mom's house and loves the dog.
@mrswifeytoad I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. @soprano19 I'm sorry to hear about your mom's dog. My friend's dog recently passed and her 4-year old had to change his preschool assignment about himself from "2 dogs" to "1 dog". Definitely cried when she posted it.
@pirateduck Isn't it amazing how you can feel hungover without any of the drinking!? Thankfully, MH is amazing and gets up with DS on weekends and lets me sleep in, so I got to sleep until 9, but I was still a mess all day. Also, OMG I couldn't resist buying some baby clothes. This baby won't get many new clothes of his own because we have soooo many hand-me-downs, but I couldn't resist these two rompers, since DS was a November baby and all of his rompers are ~12m+ sized. I also picked out a going home outfit.

@pirateduck and @shamrocandroll I washed all newborn and 0-3 clothes this weekend (and swaddled and new wrap), and put everything away in drawers! It felt so good, but I feel like i am way short on clothes. I told MH he has to get all DD and DS's clothes out of the attic this week so i can see what i still need. Socks. I'm sure I didn't save any socks. It's getting exciting!
@shamrocandroll that's exactly what I said, I feel hungover. Ugh. So lame. I almost felt guilty buying new clothes as well, the baby isn't even here yet, and we have hand me downs, but there are so many adorable affordable clothes! We are the mamas we get to enjoy shopping for our littles too. I try and remind myself that grandma will buy things etc, but this is my baby and if I want to be excited and buy clothes I shouldn't have to feel guilty about it. I've waited a looooong time for this and tried to ignore the baby section of the store for tooooo long. I'm ready to cave and buy all the cute things!
PS that romper with the little blue jeans is the cutest!
@soprano19 Awww I'm so sorry about YM's dog. Those things are so hard to explain to the littles.
@ruby696 I'm jealous! I can't wait to start going through and washing the clothes in the giant totes, but I need DS moved into his new room first, which won't be until later this month!

@shamrocandroll I also cannot wait to wash what we have (2 small bins of neutral and some boy stuff) and get hem into drawers/the closet. But I too need to get DD in her new room first! I have been going through her old clothes and trying to purge them and empty the bins so I can clean out the office. I posted on a local FB group but haven't gotten as many hits as I was hoping, I think it had to do with my timing of the post. I have a few people picking up this week and then I will post in lots on marketplace and then donate whatever is left in a couple weeks. Then I will get started on DD's room! I cannot wait.
Ok I thought maybe it was too early to start washing and putting away clothes so I'm glad to hear some of you are already doing this! I mentioned to MH this weekend I wanted to go ahead and get the dresser so we can start and he made a comment about not putting the crib together until mid-April. I told him that's way too late for me, I definitely need it done earlier.
@heyybritt Depending on what your plans are, you could hold off until later for the crib (ie: if the baby is sleeping in your room for a while), but I definitely recommend getting a jump start on organizing clothes! Right now I'm still relatively mobile, and organizing and moving things will only get more difficult from here! But I'm also a preparer, and I wanted the crib done sooner than later because it just makes the nursery look more complete.

@shamrocandroll and @m6agua We definitely need to get on the nursery. But DD and DS have three dressers - one was being used to store linens, towels, etc. I cleaned that out and moved all DD's clothes into that dresser and them put away the babys' clothes in DD's former dresser. Which still sits in their room, but oh well.
I sold some night stands on CL the other day and that was the last of the big stuff that had to go from the future baby room to make room for a crib. I decided to keep a bed in there in addition to the crib as a priority and get rid of some other stuff. It's been cleaned out, so now it's ready for the next phase! The plumber/HVAC guy is finally working at our house this week and needs access through that room, and when he's done I can go full steam ahead with making it a nursery.
@ruby696 Still counts! We moved an old, ugly dresser that was in the spare room that is becoming DS1's room and put it in the downstairs storage space, and now I'm using it for spare linens. I spent most of yesterday arranging things down there because I can't get my hands on the bedrooms just yet.

@shamrocandroll I totally should focus on one of the closets in another room right now, but it's really hard to motivate to clean out and re-organize a storage closet, but I know that the space could be used so much better and there's stuff that's been in boxes for ages that could be donated. Ugh... one day.
I have 2t-5t boy clothes but I gave all of DS' baby clothes to a friend years ago so I got to go clothes shopping. I think we're covered on everything through 6m It's been so fun, but I've had to tell the grandmas and aunties not to buy clothes for him. Luckily my MIL, grandma to 16 grandchildren, has already told me she'll just stock me up on diapers instead. Lord, bless that woman.
DD lovingly donated some pajamas that she just outgrew to the baby/toddler clothes tote, so in 4ish years, this dude is going to rock some hot pink unicorn pajamas! I also found a NWT 3t Oshkosh hoodie that she never wore, thanks to lack of weather and a growth spurt. It's oatmeal colored but quite sparkly. I kept that sucker, so he'll get to rock that, too.
