@blaf322 oh ok. Its not constant at least. Mostly at night I feel. I'll still mention it to my doctor but I'm thinking it's probably more dry skin related to weather. Thank you
@stlbuckeye132 Thank you. I'm actually least itchy on my arms and hands but I'll mention it to my doctor and keep a close watch myself. Hopefully just weather related. Thank you
Anyone else dealing with nagging headaches? I’m wondering if it’s from giving up my morning coffee. I’d ease back into it but the smell makes me nauseous right now
TMI but I feel like I have a headache in my vagina. Like a dull ache or something, not really cramping. Super annoying and weird. I’ll be 10w on Saturday. Anybody else?
@rachelredhead I keep getting a dull ache like right around my pubic bone, could definitely be described as a headache in the vagina lol. Also something I don't necessarily remember from last time. Like it's not RLP, and not cramping, just a weird dull ache...
@Fullhandsfullheart headaches are def a common first tri symptom, but my money is on the caffeine. You can probably push through and stop getting them, or do what I do and literally hold your nose and choke down the bare minimum of coffee. Not being able to take Advil for a headache is like my own personal hell, so I do what I have to do lol.
@rachelredhead I bet it's just from the increased blood flow during pregnancy. Hopefully it settles some once your body gets a little more used to things.
TMI but.... Is anyone getting a lot of gas lately? I am burping and farting like crazy... it's so annoying... I mean even if I sip water I burp.... tell me I am not the only one
Well it’s official... I’ve thrown up. I’m hoping it’s either my terrible gag reflex from this awful cough or maybe the stomach bug (not that I want the stomach bug but that would have a closer ending than this first trimester morning sickness). I also had just taken my diclegis like 5 minutes before so I’m assuming I threw it up 🤷🏻♀️ I don’t want to take another one though just in case. Tonight and tomorrow could be pretty rough...looking forward to it 🤦🏻♀️
@mayisch Not just you. I did get gas-x and I'm carrying that in my purse. At times bad enough the cramps from that are wretched. Your digestive track slows down a lot with the extra hormones. Wheee!
@mayisch meeee too. It's so embarrassing stifling burbs during meetings (people around me must be like wtf), and then doing a lot of deep breathing because of how nauseous I feel. So yes as @rachstar18 said, pregnancy is sooo fun!
After a long work week (40+ hours before today with today off), at 4pm, I am still in my pajamas, have taken a nap, and am exhausted. Hello fatigue-land...
@meanjellybean I start gagging at a meeting right about when it was my turn to speak (of course the previous 30 minutes I was feeling ok), I just ran out of there and my boss had to take over... so yes, deep breathing while eyes get teary... I get you...
I’m 7 weeks 5 days today’s and I’ve had cramps on and off since Tuesday and it’s totally freaking me out. I know it can be totally normal (and my ultrasound didn’t show any signs of impending miscarriage) but I just can’t stop worrying about it.
@mischief-managed I am also 7 weeks and have had some cramping on and off. I think it’s just some stretching. I think it’s just normal making room for more growing. It’s hard not to worry though, I get it!
Tonight my sense of smell has gone way up (I feel like it was already bad) and every room in the house is making me gag. It’s also making me feel like maybe my house stinks and needs a good cleaning 😂😳Seriously though... 🤢 I’m starting to wonder if last nights throwing up is going to be a new nightly event.
@mischief-managed I’m 10w today and I had weird twinges starting around 7/8 w. Everything has looked good on US so far so chalking it up to growing pains. When I get anxious about them it helps me to visualize the baby as a little contractor, pushing and pulling things around to make room for his/her new playground. Yes, it’s a ludicrous image. But it relaxes me.
I am resigning myself to just never breathing normally through my nose again. I had a cough for awhile so chalked it up to a cold. But the constant nose blowing/congestion with no other cold symptoms probably means this is just my life now. Nobody needs this much mucus.
@mischief-managed what helped me feel better about cramping is reminding myself that the on call RN for my RE office said they’re concerned about cramps that have you doubled over in pain. Minor cramping isn’t anything to worry about as your body adjusts
@mayisch I’ve had lots of gas too, I’m typically a pretty gassy person to begin with but it’s been 10x worse 🙈🙉🙊 like house rattling...but it feels so good to just get it out!
@nursejenn5 so true! I’ve found I have the energy for exactly one activity a day. 😂 I can survive going to work or, on the weekend, running one errand or going to one social event, but then I am a goner. And I’m not a nap person at all so I just feel like a zombie slug most days.
@nursejenn5 so true! I feel like I wake up and am ready for bed again. The brain fog is terrible! I think part of it is the diclegis but also mix between the crazy dreams/tossing all night and first trimester exhaustion. It’s a bad combo!
@hbird0723 my sense of smell has took a turn for the worse as well.. I ALSO think that my house smells TERRIBLE. Especially our kitchen/living/dining area - it's all open. I have no clue what it is but I just had to go hide out in our bedroom which I seem to be ok with for now.... what is happening?
I am SO SICK. All day everyday. I have 2 other kids and it wasn’t this bad. Watery mouth, gross taste and nausea and vomiting. I wish I was Tired so I could Sleep through it but I’m wide awake until like 1am every night
@shaqn0sis I didn’t have this with my last two but I’m glad I’m not alone (sorry you’re in the same boat!). It’s awful!! I keep having to tell the girls to walk away when they are eating things too which I feel terrible about! Pretty much any room has some kind of weird smell to me and I feel like I need to bleach our house 😂😳 I mean I know I’ve been slacking but sheesh!
Woke up today with no voice. Apparently laryngitis caused by vomiting is a thing hahahaha. Gotta love it! My sense of smell has been extra sensitive too...the super sniffer is real. My husband fed the cat two rooms away and I started gagging because I could smell it. But I'll gladly put up with everything if it means a healthy baby. Hoping for a good US on Tuesday before we fly across the country for Christmas!

I relate to that meme so much 😂 the first thing I thought when I woke up this AM is, I’m definitely going to need a nap today. I slept from 9:30pm-7am lol
@hbird0723@knockupthestock@shaqn0sis yes my nose definitely joined the party yesterday! I was at a friend's baby shower at her aunt's home, which was lovely but I catalogues grievances: someone's bad perfume, someone was a smoker, and the bathroom was potpourri'd to all hell. Then I went to the basement to say hey to DH who was hanging with the guys watching sports while we did the shower and I physically recoiled at the smell of beer and smoke. I asked DH if he noticed it and he said not at all. Can't wait to bring this nose onto my commute this week.....
Entering the holiday season is lovely but also, I don't think I'm going to be able to stomach food. Specifically, I had a pre-Hanukkah Hanukkah party Friday and deep fried potato did not sit well (although surprisingly fries have been ok so maybe I just need to blot the oil?). In the next 2 weeks I have 3-4 more parties (including one we're hosting) where the traditional deep fry will be on the menu so I may need to pick and choose my potato eating...
Also, being awake from 3am - 5am more nights than not can suck it.
Yesterday we had ballet, a birthday party, and a wedding. My husband was supposed to take the kids to the first two things so I’d be rested for the wedding, but he was up at night with a stomach bug. So I took them to everything, went to the early afternoon wedding and we’re home by 6:15. I immediately fell asleep and slept for almost 13 hours and still feel completely exhausted. I hate feeling like this so much, completely wasting my free time. ☹️ It does give me a little reassurance something is happening inside me though, as I get increasingly nervous for my first ultrasound on Tuesday. But mostly just really sucks.
I’m definitely way more sensitive to smell/taste. My first pregnancy, I craved lifesaver gummies and drank a fair amount of coke/Pepsi because it seemed to help with the queasiness. Also, if I couldn’t drink alcohol, I figured I could indulge in some soda🤷🏼♀️. I had both of those this week and all I could taste was the artificial flavoring/coloring and was so grossed out.
I’m also having a really hard time with trash cans/public restrooms because, smells.
I’m having a good night sickness wise (I am finally getting over this cold and I think the drainage Going away is helping or maybe that I’ve finally found a good reflux medicine 🤷🏻♀️) and naturally I’m freaking out 🤦🏻♀️ Can’t wait for Tuesday’s ultrasound! I should just be soaking this up and enjoying eating and drinking water while I can.

I had a low-nausea day and I did the same thing and started freaking out a little. Thankfully, my fatigue was out of this world today so that kept me sane 😂. It’s just so easy to worry this early on!

I had headaches a lot with my first around 8 - 10 weeks. My OB said that was a pretty typical symptom.
