@luckywife10- I have to second what @MamaMiller said. I had a gut feeling with both pregnancies so far, and they ended up being correct. Solid chance it was all a fluke though! Haha
Same with me! I had a gut feeling the first was a boy and this one a girl and I was right, but I think it could have just been a fluke!
@chickyclg I had to tell DS1 there is a baby in there last week. He weighs 58 lbs and loves to run and pounce on people. He hugged me and got very excited. Luckily I had already told my family, because he went and told his teacher the very next day. He has not pounced on me since then.
@chickyclg I'm struggling with this, especially when I'm lying on the couch in the evenings. DS is all about repeatedly jumping on me, aiming right for the belly.
The only solution I've found is lying on my side, which means he jumps more on my hip/ribcage. I suppose I could also just stand up, but that seems unlikely.

@RainyDays86 that is my exact situation, and standing up for fun is highly unlikely here too.
@CarmCeG - I am a lifelong, devout bacon hater. If bacon even touched my food, I couldn't eat it. Well, apparently this baby disagrees- I have been craving BLTs like crazy! I actually ordered one the other day, and it hit the spot like nothing else. I don't even know who I am anymore.

@chickyclg unfortunately we are in a "Mommy do it, daddy go away!" phase so it's all me all the time. I try to get him to play with the dogs or take him outside as much as I can but with it getting dark at 6 (and soon 5) I know my days are numbered.
I've started telling him there is a baby in mommy's belly so we have to be gentle. If he gets really feisty I say Ow and make him kiss it to make my belly better since that's what we do for him. It tends to help him reset and be a bit more gentle. I'm hoping as I get bigger he can see the belly and it clicks for him but I'm doubtful.
And if I'm desperate there is always Sesame Street on Amazon Prime.
@kayemjay2 wow! BLTs are great. SO won't let me forget that I cried, because I really wanted one a few weeks ago. The body is truly amazing and we are witnesses to that!!
So I had a tea this morning - I've never been a big caffeine drinker, but have had hardly any since the HPT. I'm a little more crampy today. That's a thing from caffeine right?? Nothing intense, just period-y cramps. Part of it feels also like it could be bladder/bowel cramping (Colace is SO not working right now). I'm nowhere near being ready to call the doc, but I just want some validation!
@arels483 your inlaws sound like mine. Sorry they are doing everything without asking you, that sucks. We are moving too, probably in the summer/fall of 2017, which means we will have a 2 year old and a couple month old twins (yikes).

I'm 14w2d and still get some cramping, maybe because I haven't kicked my diet coke habit completely. It's normal.
ETA: To add that I have also been having some ligament pain that feels a lot like cramping. I think it's my uterus expanding.

@ShadeofGreen816 yeah that happens to me sometimes. I find that upping my Colace to 2-3x a day is more helpful. A half a cup of coffee when things get dire can definitely get things moving too! Good luck
@vrj0522 & @wombthereitis Thanks! I know all these things, but then you sit in a (horrifically boring) lecture and suddenly I find myself paying absurd attention to every twinge and getting myself nervous.
I'm afraid to up my Colace, because (TMI coming maybe?) every few days when I finally do go, its far from solid. I'm afraid if I up my Colace, it'll be straight diarrhea.
@ShadeofGreen816 I've been drinking green tea to help with the bloat and constipation, so maybe the cramping is your bowels?
@chickyclg My two year old is all about jumping or standing on mommy. I try to tell her "you have to be careful to not hurt the baby" and she tells me "just a little bit" haha. My older daughter was much more gentle when she was that age and I was pregnant with DD2 so this is new for me!

@chickyclg and @WombThereItIs thanks! When more time passed, I knew I was overreacting a bit. It just felt quite forceful initially. Surprisingly when my doctor's office called me this morning, they set up an appt with a midwife so since I have the day off, I'm going in for EXTRA peace of mind. Really, I was pretty concerned with hurting the placenta or something.
Anyone thinking about a new car to make room for baby? My current car is pretty small and I know with DS rear-facing (which he will be for probably 6 months after the baby is born) and behind me I'll need to push my seat forward enough that I'll be just a little cramped. The infant seat has to go behind the passenger because it requires the seat in front of it to be pushed very far forward so only very short people can sit comfortably.
On the other hand, my current car is pretty new and in good condition and the idea of car shopping does not sound appealing.
@RainyDays86 I am currently shopping for a bigger car too. My current car is tied up in the Audi/Volkswagen diesel scandal so once they finish my paperwork I am selling it back.
I wanted just a slight slight upgrade but now knowing I'm going to have 2 car seats I am looking way larger. I don't like driving SUVs so I am probably getting a giant boat of a full size sedan although it's really nice and fast so I can live with it.
I will probbaly switch my son to son to front facing and put him behind me when baby comes and install the infant seat in the passenger side where my toddler is now. He will be 2.5 so I have no qualms about flipping him because even in a big car I wouldn't be able to have his monster seat rear facing and still have enough space to drive. I have the angle adjuster on his seat already and it it still a total space hog!
@RainyDays86I'm getting one and can not wait! I hate my current Jeep (2001, a little beat up, just bleh). We've been kind of waiting for me to get pregnant. I don't actually know, but I don't think I can put baby in the middle which is what I'd ideally like. There's also no AC vents in the back, which is not ideal for a long term RF-ing in Phoenix heat.
I am probably going to get another Grand Cherokee, just something that's not older than 5 years old and that's a bit safer/ more reliable.
I just got a van but I'm wondering how we're going to configure the car seats to work. We will have a 22 month old and two newborns. Our van has the two captain seats in the middle and the three seat row in the back. There are definitely enough seats, but the problem is I won't be able to get around the two seats in the middle to get to the back. We currently have my daughter in the middle in her convertible seat still rear facing and there is absolutely no way to get past her, we use the other side to get to the back, but that won't be an option with two seats in the middle. hmmm...
I just got a bigger car when my daughter was born, but we will have to upgrade to something bigger again! Not sure what yet, but Honda Pilot is on our list.

Can you RF her in the back seat but load her from the back?
@Jellybeanqueen13 that's what to happened to us and what I'm afraid of! We got a bigger car with DS but it's not big enough. And, we're not 100% we'll be done at 2 and I worry that if I get a car that works for 2 I'll need to get another car that will work for 3 if we decide to have another. I don't want to drive a huge car unless I need to, but I also don't want to be buying a new car every 2-3 years.
We knew we would be adding Baby #3 to the family this year so we upgraded my car in January. We also were moving/driving through some snowy mountains and needed to upgrade to an AWD so it was the perfect timing. I love love love my Toyota Highlander! I have captains seats for the second row, so no having to fold down seats to get to the back or climbing over. DD1 will move to the back row. She knows how to buckle herself but now we are working on un-buckling herself. DD2 and new baby will be in the second row in the captains seats.
@Jkp7749 My SIL had this same problem when she had twins and her oldest was only 18 months old. She ended up keeping the back seat folded down on one side of her oldests car seat. She would put the twins in and then open the back hatch of the car and her oldest would climb in that way and she could reach and help him. Not ideal but it works!
@nda_roxybabe You need a Noggle! It was a lifesaver in Arizona during those summer months when my poor DD was rear facing. I don't care what kind of car it is, there is never enough AC vents in the back for the Arizona heat!

@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot@h&pmomma not ideal but I guess something like that will have to work. We're certainly not interested in trying to find anything bigger than a van.
We'll be car shopping after the first of the year for either a van or a third row SUV. Needing room for 3 car seats and a booster doesn't give us a whole lot of options.
We bought a van when DD was born. DH & I are both tall and with the RF car seat it made our Jeep useless. DD is still RF and we will just put this babe in the other captains chair.
The lease on our car is up in February and I have no idea what to get. I refuse to get a minivan and I'm afraid 3 seat SUVs will be out of our price range. My 5yo is still in her toddler seat, but could go in a booster and my 11 month old will still be rear facing when baby is born. Right now I have a crossover and it would be impossible to fit three in the back.
Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but has anyone ever done a 3D US gender check through a 3rd party clinic? Or will any of you be doing that?
My SO wants to know so badly he asked if we could, apparently they can check 15 weeks & up.
anyone ? lol
I would imagine you could. My NT screen was done at a 3rd party and they did a 3d US. We're not finding out gender and it was a little too soon though.

I didnt do this but know a few mamas from my old bmb did. If I remember correctly, if they can't determine the sex the first try you can reschedule without paying more. Im tempted but was told that I should get an anatomy scan around 18 weeks so I'm just going to wait.
@CarmCeG We will possibly do an early ultrasound. We've always waited for the anatomy scans with DD1 and DD2 but now because of the holidays and the fact that we will be traveling, I probably won't have my anatomy scan until 21-22 weeks. If we do it early, it would be at 16/17 weeks and then I think it would be fun to surprise our families when we are visiting with the results!

I was told similar, but SO wants to try since its only $39 at First Peek US until Nov. 15th. Being our first baby he wants to do all the extra stuff haha
@CarmCeG My husband is the exact opposite. I came home with the 3d from the NT scan and he was like "Noooo, thats a spoiler! Can we request no more 3d?" Yes... "Okay good and maybe no more regular either. I don't want any spoilers!" I laughed and said we will have another regular, so suck it up.
@thistlenweeds, we're moving to Olympia. I grew up in Washington, so I'm going home. I get to have this little baby in the same hospital I was born in. Where are you?
