Anyone else notice the Facebook Group thread was DD'd? Shame! @mia1116
That makes no sense. April actually brought up the idea for the first time ever and one person was all well May already started one. I had to respond haha because she clearly didnt lurk enough
Yo yo yo ladies! Sorry I've been MIA lately. Been in a funk, DS has been sick, our new flooring install took longer than expected, and now our AC is out! Anyhoo, yes I think HDBD should start tomorrow!!! And I thought you couldn't DD anymore? How did they pull that off?

Whaaa? Just Gone?? So confused. How does that happen?
I, too, thought you couldn't DD. It doesn't look like it was re-named. Now I really don't believe their claim that they would consider stragglers on a case by case basis.
I started a Holiday Deals thread! I hope that's cool! I will try and stay on top of it and add as much as I can! I don't have a Toys R Us or Buy Buy Baby near me, so hopefully other people can add those deals. I know TRU normally has a great diaper deal on Black Friday.

I'm in the facebook group and relatively active here so I consider myself to be on "both sides" but I believe the intention of getting rid of the Facebook thread was so that it couldn't get resurrected later and cause drama. Honestly don't think anyone was trying to be sneaky or hiding anything. I love snark on here and often go back to TTC boards to get my fill... But I honestly think the Facebook group drama has been just a miscommunication in general.

Dont exile me
I can agree that the pro-FB crowd was adamant that they were not trying to cause drama. However, saying it doesn't always make it true and DD is always frowned upon on the bump. For all the reasons discussed ad nauseam and as confirmed by the DD, I respectfully disagree that it was a miscommunication. However, I really like @jenshoes and I would never exclude you from joining us (as the fb group does), so no exile here.
I hate ketchup, but now being pregnant makes me crave it. I had ketchup with Lays potato chips today lol
I had the same thing happen to me my last pregnancy but with relish on hot dogs. I hate relish normally and yet, I ate it regularly last time. I guess our taste buds get weird during pregnancy.

@CarmCeG I've been craving ketchup and ranch dressing and I normally am not a fan of either. It is definitely weird. If I smell someone else eating ketchup on something, I HAVE to have it!
Yeah, it definitely is weird. I also love coffee being pregnant, but as mentioned before being pregnant you couldn't get me to set foot in a coffee place due to the smell, :P
@nda_roxybabe I'm in a similar boat as you. Same height and size, almost 11 weeks, but I sized up pants a few weeks ago because they were so uncomfortable. I'm planning on finding some maternity pants soon, because these ones are getting snug now, too. I'm up about 5 lbs and have a short torso, so all the weight is right at a typical waistband. Eating has been the only thing to keep the nausea at bay, so I don't mind one bit, though.
@Jellybeanqueen13 Yes, that's how I felt last night. I was on the bus and got a good whiff of it. I got home and I said potato chips are pretty close to fries, so I poured some ketchup on them
Before being pregnant it would make me sick seeing someone eat ketchup, again the smell just never attracted me. Not even when it was green or purple (who remembers?) lol
My random/question: did anyone in their previous pregnancy(ies) or even now feel like they already know the gender of their baby even before an ultrasound, test, or birth to confirm? H and I are Team Green all the way, but I kinda feel like I already know the gender of my baby. It might just be hormones making me feel this way though.
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot we can agree to disagree, but it's not something that I have too much of an opinion about. I'm sorry if you, or anyone, felt left out. Thank you for not exiling me, I like you too.
@vrj0522 they were basically all belly. Both wear low rise pants so the top of their pants were basically right under the belly. Idk they're goddesses? And it's an impossible thing to live up to? This last time around they both gained about 20 lbs and it was all baby I guess lol makes me want to avoid them lol
I feel like the being able to wear your regular pants while pregnant thing REALLY depends on what kind of pants you wear normally, and how your belly is situated. With my first, my belly was really high, and I wear low-cut jeans, and Daughter was a preemie, so I did have a couple of pairs of pants that I ended up wearing the whole time. (Although they were really maybe a size or two too big for me before I got pregnant? I tend to have a couple of pants too big just because.) With second daughter, I carried her a lot lower, and was in all Maternity by second tri. I wasn't really that much of a different size, just my belly was way lower for some reason.
I feel like shirts are a whole different ball game, though. I tend to wear my regular shirts a bit long, and actually found that some of them ended up fitting over a third tri bump way better than some maternity shirts. Especially those scrunched up sides that some maternity shirts have! They just end up pulling your shirt up! And, I may usually raid my husband's wardrobe for baggy flannel shirts too
My random that I actually came on here to say before I got distracted- We accidentally left my phone charger in Atlanta when we were there this weekend, and it is so weird! I'm trying to conserve battery until I can get another charger (hopefully tonight DH will pick one up!) and I'm on my computer instead right now. I NEVER use the website, always the mobile ap. I feel like it's much easier to type way too much on my computer! So, sorry for my super long comments tonight! Also- the Adele concert was AMAZING!!!!!! For any of you who were curious .
As you outgrow your clothes do you plan on packing them away and replacing with maternity clothing? I am currently outgrowing my pants and living out of my maternity box and too tired/ overwhelmed to how to stay organized!
@Jenshoe, they would have to be super low rise and maybe carried high? Huh. I am intrigued. Aint no shame in a little maternity pants though
This was the three of us at a wedding in early July. The green dress was due end of July and this was her 3rd. Black dress was due beginning of August and this was her 1st, I'm wearing heels so actually 3 inches shorter than I appear here. You can't really see the one in the black very well, but she carried almost identical to the one in the green.
Just got word we are likely moving in June or early July.
I am due May 24.
Anyone move with a toddler and newborn and survive? Or any of my fellow DoD spouses have experience moving a PCS date? I would almost rather go early because the new base would be SO much nicer but I don't know if that's an option.I feel queasy just thinking about it.
Yup. We sold our condo and moved last year when DS was just a couple of months old and DD was just barely 2. It was incredibly hard, but we did it. If you know it's incredibly likely to happen, start packing anytime you get some energy and time... if you have any friends or family around, you're going to need their help or prepared to hire help with packing/cleaning.

A few weeks ago I switched out my summer and winter wardrobes (off season is stored in totes under the bed). However, as I've noticed Winter dresses not fitting i've been putting them in a pile to store away under the bed. I have plenty of room in my closet, I just only like to have out what is "in season"
@MamaMiller - I do store away -- I have 3 different stashes/containers -- M, L, maternity. Before I got pregnant with DS, I was a size L but after he was born I went down to an M. I usually go back to an L first before I move on to my maternity clothes so yeah, I rotate through everything. And then go backwards after giving birth. The boxes are kept in a pretty accessible spot in the storage room so I'm able to pull things out and in pretty easily. I find it really helpful to be organized because then it's easy to move sizes without having a thousand clothes I don't wear in my closet.
@luckywife10 - I've actually known all 3 pregnancies what I was having before they told us. You might be right and you might already know, but until you hear the words, I would be very careful not to get sex-specific stuff because there is a chance you could be wrong.

@MamaMiller We had a secondbedroom that had space in the closet so I just moved whatever there. That way the clothes didn't have a weird musty smell sitting in a box for months. This time I plan to pack away anything that doesn't fit anymore, only because we will be buying a house before May. And we will finally have our own washer/dryer so heck yes, screw the musty smell this time.
Super winded over here. We are moving across the country next week, so we are packing up the house. I was packing up my half of the closet and got so out of breath.
Second part: we are moving from VA to WA NEXT WEEK and don't have a place to move into! My husband got a really great job offer when we first found out that we were expecting, but we were going to turn it down because I was nervous about the financial impact of losing my job and having to find a new job while pregnant. Then DH's parents talking him into it and offered to pay all of our moving expenses and plan the move. Well, no moving truck has been ordered and rent on houses is pricey. Nobody is asking my opinion on anything at all!
Cute note: Last night I opened the door for a little Captain America and he came right on in to pet pet my cat. The boy was probably four or five and just barged on in. His parents were out on the street and didn't say anything at all. It was really cute. My cat handled the strange child like a pro, which makes me feel good about my cat handling the baby. Thank goodness it was my house and now some weirdo's place!
@nda_roxybabe@vrj0522@pshaortao great tips- I will have to pick up some extra totes for storage- I remember the end being frustrating because the maternity clothes starting getting snug- I know my normal clothes added would just be a mess.
@arels483- where in VA are you moving to? I am in Northern VA and can give suggestions if needed!
I have an apt tomorrow, but I'm not getting an US. Idk why, but I'm really nervous. Nothing going on, just wish I could see the babies for peace of mind. (I know, usually there are only 1-2 US, but this twin thing is a whole different ballgame!).
I've been wearing my maternity jeans since I got my bfp~ no shame. Lol
Ladies, I'm a little nervous right now. While at work, i totally rammed the right side of my abdomen into then corner of the computer cart that was hidden behind a curtain. It took my breath away and I felt a sharp pain initially. Now it's just sore. No bruise about an hour later now.
I was getting report from my manager and was tending reading to my patient when it happened. She knows I'm pregnant and felt bad. Really wanted to make an incident report just in case. I shrugged it off at first and said I would if I started cramping or anything. Then my DH happened to call and I told him what happened. He freaked out which in turn freaked me out. So I made the report and called the advice nurse to see if I can get an appt with you OB for a check up tomorrow.
Should I go to the ED and get checked now (I'm still at work at the hospital anyway) or wait to hear from my OB?

Oh no, I'd probably wait to hear from the OB only because I haven't always had the best luck with ERs and early pregnancy.
@luckywife10- I have to second what @MamaMiller said. I had a gut feeling with both pregnancies so far, and they ended up being correct. Solid chance it was all a fluke though! Haha
@mrsrep123 I wouldn't worry too much. I have a two year old that treats me like a jungle gym. Jumping, kicking, flying leaps, all right at the belly. And I assure you I had an ultrasound that showed a very normal looking baby and not a ute full of scrambled eggs. They are very resilient and have tons of cushion in there especially this early.
