Feel better ladies and babies! Nothing is more sad than a sick baby.
Trying to get DD to sleep in the PNP has been an epic fail every night. I lay her down and she's right back awake. How is she supposed to sleep uncovered?? She loves blankets! Then this morning she was grunt-o-saurus. She woke up crying around 4 am so I put her in the bed with me. Then she grunted until 6. I fed her, she farted, and went back to sleep. I guess that was the cure.
Does anyone think their girl babies look stupid in girl baby clothes? I put her in a little pink RL cardigan and she looks so dumb. This thing where I was rebelling and dressing her in gender neutral clothing is biting me in the ass now, because I think my baby is a boy. She's going to grow up and be confused about her gender identity.
AND,
What are the boards to check? Parenting? What else? Fonts are down at work and I gots me some time to kill.
No but MIL buys all the clothes she likes, aka sweat suits. She legit looks like a little old lady in her coordinating sweats. I told her so this morning. she was like /:)
APurp has a sweat suit with a vest from MIL. She looks like she's ready to go to bingo when she wears it.
@MRSclarke08 I hope your little man feels better soon!
@MrsTinMKE I am also super excited for warmer weather. I have been online shopping for a swimsuit for DD because we are going to take swim "lessons" together in March. Baby swimsuits are about the cutest thing ever!!!! I think I am going with this one (see pic). It has snaps like a onesie so I am hoping that makes diaper changes easier if needed.
Bottom snap suits are awesome, we used them for Allison when she was in baby swim. So much easier.
Sorry for all of you who had crappy nights and have sick LO's. Brooke is finally starting to get over that wicked cold and is more predictable overnight. Plus, she took 3 bottles yesterday and one today without screaming! Apparently she only drinks from a bottle when she lays flat on the floor. My kid is odd.

I just said to my mom yesterday that if I didn't dress her in girly clothes maybe she'd look like a boy, just because of her age. She has no features that identify her as a girl as of yet lol. But I love the pink and frilly stuff so that won't be happening.
I love tutus! And ruffles! But it's been cold, so she mostly wears jammies, and when I put her in "people" clothes that look really girlie, I'm like "Who is this baby?"

Even the gender neutral clothes have ruffles on the butt. If I have a boy I think he'll wear ruffle butts. Lol
I'm leaving to pick up my mom at the airport in a few minutes. My SIL is due with a baby girl in a few days and my mom is coming for the birth and to help her at home for a couple of weeks. We get her until the birth though so I'm excited.
I may be flamed for this but I don't understand women who don't want a sister or sister-in-law getting pregnant at the same time as them because they will "steal the spotlight". I am so happy that DD gets a cousin who is only 3 months apart from her who she can play with and who will be in the same grade in school (even if they don't go to the same school). I loved having cousins close in age to me and I'm excited that DD gets one too.

I bought, like football onesies and shit. If I never have a boy baby, it was all for naught, but still, I DO like the gender neutral shit better than all the girlie stuff.
Except the kittens. Give me all the kittens. You can't find a single boy thing with a fucking cat on it. WHY.

Because fucking cats is a little inappropriate for baby boy clothes...just sayin'
FamousEaMonstoMommyANGnJON thanks, ladies. I don't eat much dairy to begin with and eat practically no premade/processed food (I cook from scratch a lot). My meals are pretty straightforward, but I'm going to have to look into a dairy sources list as well as CeraVe lotion. Between the crying and the eczema, I feel so fried. I used to say that he could cry all day but the second he smiled, it made everything better. Unfortunately, I feel like I've gotten to the point where his smile doesn't make it all better anymore...simply because I know it's temporary and it's just a matter of time before he cries again. And that makes me sad.
@SPurp13 I'm so lazy I do this all the time. My favorite is to do it to DH.
So DS flat out refuses to take a bottle for DH. He'll take one from the babysitter, he'll take one from me, but DH tries and he screams and wiggle and just won't do it. It's been like this for two days. There goes my sleeping in.
@yella726 sorry about LO, hang in there Hope all the sick mommas and LOs get better soon. I just walked 3 flights of stairs at work, almost didn't make it and then my phone rang and could barely talk between breaths. I'm out of shape and used to always take the stairs until about 4 months pregnant. On the upside I'm orienting so hopefully I can get my pump sessions in, it's been so busy lately that my 5pm gets skipped and then I just feed LO at 8 when I get home.
@apk4 Wait...like, the first time EVER?? I also agree with the PPs about adding stuff. I cook my oatmeal with almond milk, add a touch of brown sugar and then add chopped almonds and blueberries.
LO's eczema on his legs, I think, are starting to keep him up at night. Last night, he was thrashing around in his sleep, kicking his legs like crazy. I'm thinking he's starting to do anything he can to scratch them. Poor baby. He also tried (for the first time) to scratch at his legs during his diaper change this morning. This kid is a mess and I feel like I'm losing it. Colic and bad eczema. He's on Zantac. I cut out dairy (and chocolate -- just in case [ouch]). Everything he wears is washed in natural, fragrance-free detergent. I'm trying to keep him out of fleece and put him only in cotton. We apply coconut oil like it's our job (and just started with pure shea butter). He has a humidifier in his room and a big pot o' water on the wood burning stove.
Seriously, I tried everything to help my son's eczema and the ONLY thing that worked was CeraVe lotion. Buy it!
We have 3 jars or CeraVe around here as DH, DD and DS all have eczema and I seem to have developed an attractive patch on my nose. Sexy. It's not a miracle but it helps more than anything else DH has tried in many years of having eczema.
I have the sads today. Went back to work yesterday. It was hard. I am so tired and feel just awful. Makes working really difficult and since precision is sorta important as a pharmacist, it makes me nervous. LO still wakes up 4 times to eat during the night. He also seems to have a cold and didn't nap well yesterday at my mom's (she's watching him for a few months before he starts daycare). So he was cranky and on the boob last night. He has an appointment with a craniofacial specialist today because his ped thinks his head looks funny. That is stressful. My milk doesn't seem to be as plentiful this week for some reason. I'm only getting 2 oz from each side when I pump. Normally I only need to give DS one breast so I think I'm usually at about 3-4 oz per side. Maybe not though and that's why he's up so often? IDK.

I'm happy that B will have a cousin that is only 6 months younger since the rest are 4+ years older. That being said, I was a little butthurt when I found out SIL was pregnant at the same time because this is baby #6 for them.
At first I was annoyed because we had been trying and they got pregnant on accident with an already 1 year old. So I was jealous. Not to mention they weren't happy about it at all. Anyway my LO is one month younger than her cousin and it's pretty fucking awesome. My brother has always been one of my best friends so now our daughter's get to be BFF's.

I said this to MIL, and she was like "MY GRANDSON WILL NOT WEAR PINK." I was like "Ok, lady, your dime, because I'm not buying new clothes for a new baby. I'm not the idiot that had to have all the pink things at a baby shower."
It's a bluff because I love little boy clothes, but still.
Caught up for probably the only time today ... Have to get my work shit together as I have my evaluation starting next week which means I need lesson plans plus a pre-observation form to my boss by tonight. H is watching DS all day today -- first time he's had him for more than 2 hrs. I'm a little stressed.
Good luck, and I hope DH does a good job with LO. Call to check in often!

Do you hate the cardigan or the pink? S has about 20 cardigans, and most have elbow pads.
Because I'm that mom whose baby has dry clean only shit.
No, the cardigan is adorable, it's just that she looks so weird in pink. It has ruffles along the bottom. She has a white cable knit cardigan that I SWOOOOOON over.
Hey @TicketTuesday, where's the picture of your kiddos' side-by-side comparison? I always show my husband your baby pictures because we can't believe the hair, but I forgot to show him that one, and DD1's hair is even MORE impressive. We are jealous because APurp lost hers and now has a mullet.

@Vrj055 - I am with you here. I would love to be pregnant at the same time as my SIL, but I know it would make her super ragey because she LOVES being the center of attention. I would be over the moon because I think it would be fun to be pregnant at the same time and would be something to bond over, but some people just don't feel that way. I do hope she gets pregnant soon (SIL and BIL are TTGP with their first) It would be great to have the kids close in age. I am also secretly hoping to get pregnant again this year. H and his bro grew up with cousins very close in age and it was like he had 4 brothers instead of one, they were all so close and grew up together. I love that.
Pumping, bumping and eating pepperoni in the upstairs bathroom at work. No one uses this bathroom since all the sales people are men so I figured I could go ahead and snack.
Thanks for all the well wishes!
