Tough, their crowns are gone from their signatures. I have a feeling it's all the backend changes they are making today. It's like their resetting the Matrix.
red pill or blue pill?! :-S
Take the red pill and she how far the rabbit hole goes
DH called the pedi today to discuss the fact that S cries like a banshee either a) the absolute moment that the nipple gets in his mouth, b) after his first swallow or two, or c) after he is burped. Feeding him has brought both of us to tears because it's like we are poisoning him.
So, pedi called him today and after hearing about it, and consulting his hx and seeing that we called about this before, prescribed baby zantac. She thinks it's silent reflux, and that preparing to eat even causes the acid to rise.
Those with Zantac experience, how long did it take to see an improvement? I hate thinking we are unnecessarily medicating, but all 3 of us are crying at times, and that's not really sustainable.
Took us a week to see a big difference, pedi said it could take up to two weeks.
Yeah it took us about 2 weeks but it's so worth it.
Totally agree with @nicb13 don't rush v2.0 It is tricky to be 4000 years pregnant and lifting a toddler/changing diapers/bathing/chasing etc.
@pnwlover12 yay for L! And you! Amazeballs. What changed in less than a week?? (Though that's how it went down at our house too.)
Nothing! It was like, all of a sudden this past weekend she wanted to use the potty instead of her pullups. She had two accidents (while wearing underwear) on Saturday, and since then, she has used the potty every single time. She even holds it during the night and wakes up in the morning to use the potty. Finally.

You moved to a faster flowing nipple right? I think we discussed this but I can't remember. DD used to pull away and scream her head off but I realized that the milk wasn't coming out fast enough and she was pissed. Then, after burping, she was even more pissed that I made her stop eating and she would scream her head off.
@nicb13 we did move to the larger nipple. The pedi said that him crying once he recognizes the nipple in his mouth before even sucking may mean he already associates that with pain
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
Baby O had his adhesions and "skin bridge" fixed a couple hours ago and he did so well. He just stared sweetly at the doctor the whole time. He seems happy and hasn't cried or fussed like it's bothering him. We'll see how he does tonight though... My poor guy. :grimacing:
Glad it is taken care of and little man didn't seem to mind! What a huge relief that must be for you.
I'm watching My Strange Addiction. One lady has 21 foot long dreads she's been growing for 2 decades. She calls it cobra and pets her hair in public.
The other lad stings herself with bees and is slowly developing an allergy. So she could literally die at any moment.
What in the actual fuck???
I saw a video someone posted on Facebook about a lady that would wake up every morning and find her babies pee diapers in the trashcan and open them up and suck out all the liquid. She should have been on that show. Or maybe she was.
This literally made me gag. Disgusting. What is wrong with people?? :-&
I'm taking a few college courses this quarter and as I was reading through my textbook, I have found that someone has written in definitions of words into the book so they understand what they are reading. For example, in the opening chapter the word galvanized is used. The person crossed out galvanized and wrote "To shock or excite".
Geez Louise you ladies are hard to keep up with! But I am determined to try. I'm off tomorrow and I plan to just feed, cuddle, pump, and bump. I probably still won't be able to keep up but I refuse to give up!
That time when you feel something on your arm and you think " oh it's just my hair.... Wait. YOU DON'T HAVE LONG HAIR"it was a fracking spider!!. I may or may not have peed myself in distress...
@SPurp13 yes she is a douche bag. Im sure when she has kids she won't think swaddling is child abuse.
Soooo I totally got drunk tonight, it was my work 'Christmas' staff party but they do it in January because it costs less to hire the venue and the bosses are so cheap. I had to leave early because SO got in a massive mood, DS normally goes down about 10ish and sleeps until 5ish so I said 'let me know if you need me' so he starts texting me all 'whatever M' no kisses or love yous, then texts me like ' I have to feed F' so I literally put my drink down and rush home. All I've had to do is swaddle him (in the child abuse jacket) and rock him and he's asleep. I am so irritated.
I think it's BS that girls get away with wearing masculine clothes but boys (and their moms) get flamed if they are dressed the least bit feminine. Why are people so overprotective of masculinity?
I am not afraid of my boys wearing "girly" stuff and I'll cut someone if they have something negative to say about it. My ds1 wears princess dress up clothes and likes to wear my heals around the house. I made him a necklace a few months ago because he thinks my and dd's necklaces are pretty. I let him wear it anywhere he wants. Is it going to make him less of a boy? No!
I'm probably just paranoid but this has been going on for a few days now... (Possible BFing trigger ahead)
I've had oversupply issues since beginning - so every time I feed M I've only offered one boob and he's always been happy with that and often didn't even fully empty said boob.
But the past few days he's been emptying the first side and fussing until I offer the other which he seems to empty as well! (I don't really pump because I really haven't had any need to other than to keep an emergency bottle or 2 in the fridge, so I haven't noticed a difference there.)
He's eating just as often so it isn't that he's spacing out feedings, and (sadly) he's up about 6 times a night now and almost always wants the boob before going back to sleep.
So what's up? Growth spurt, suppen supply issues, or something entirely different?
The girl that we always see when we go to our favorite place gave us a free pizza and drinks tonight. DH felt bad and tried to pay but she insisted. Clearly we eat too much pizza... She has probably seen DH 2-3 times a week and all of us once a week since before I was pregnant and since we had LO she keeps giving us free drinks and always comes to look at him. Babies = free food?
I think I may have to block a former co-worker on my facebook. My entire feed is filled with her posts and she hashtags everything. She literally posted last night about her baby breastfeeding and then 5 minutes later posted what exactly she ate as a snack after breastfeeding. She posts about 900 pics of her baby everyday and now she just posted a pic of her right before she delivered and today to show how amazing she looks after having a baby. I'm waiting for an update with the hashtag #IPoopedAfterHavingABaby. She also just recently got engaged and is posting every detail of her wedding, which will be in 2 years.
FFWC - I don't know who half of you are on...that other place we hang out (can we say this yet?). Unless your name is super obvious or your avatar matches your profile pic.
I have now tried 14 (!!!!!) different kinds of pacifiers... I might be giving up. The best luck I've had has been with Tommee Tippee, WubbaNub, and MAM but still he doesn't love it and rarely takes any of them or for very long.
