That WK made OP look like a saint. Also like all of the women who said there was no support on the board, when almost all of the posters mentioned they clicked on the thread to offer support, until they actually read the OP.
OP is having more pregnancy symptoms than all of July 14 had combined. Her "midwife" friend tells her she has to be pregnant even though she has yet to turn a positive, and to top it off she posted the same story on BC 5 months ago. Her explanation for that is a great one. This one had me laughing!
OP wants to know how to keep her FIL from telling everyone when she gets pregnant. She's not even pregnant yet. Best part is another poster, who is pregnant, responds saying she is having her MIL sign a non-disclosure agreement.
This thread on Parenting is ugly- thoughts on parenting vs nannies vs not spending enough time with you kids etc. Mobile bumping- can't link. Fuck AT&T for still not being able to complete the service at our new house. Ugh.

That was highly entertaining, but I have to say, the big bad Parenting regs got their panties in a wad. People were "getting hurt" by it? Uhhh. You'd think they'd be more thick skinned to trolls or MUD.
I feel like people were getting upset thinking it was a dig at working moms but to me, working full-time or even working 2 or 3 jobs out of necessity is not even close to being on the same level as not seeing your kid ever because you just love working that much. Even in the case of the OP, as long as her kid is being watched by people that love him and care about his well-being, then keep on keeping on. Most likely the kid will have a closer relationship with his nannies and his grandparents than his mom and dad but if they're okay with that, then do what works.

That thread reminded me of a family I used to nanny for. Dad was an attorney, mom sold commercial real estate, neither parent got home before 7 pm on any weeknight and it was usually later. Both boys (12 and 14) were adopted and had issues. The younger one was ok, mild adhd but a good kid. The older one...he scared me. Compulsive liar, said outrageous things for attention, constantly got in trouble in school, had to be picked up every day because he couldn't be trusted to walk home. There was also an unsubstantiated claim that he was seen harming a squirrel.
Now that I'm a mom I have more sympathy for other mom's choices. But FFS lady, your kid is SCREAMING out for attention. Why in the actual fuck would you adopt children you don't intend to raise?
So I'm expecting my second child, this is also a boy. My mom and I decided early on that if it was a girl we'd have a full-on shower. If it was a boy we'd have a "diaper shower" or otherwise called a "baby sprinkle." Our little family needed the extra help with the small things, everything we still needed (due to the old stuff being worn or broken or just needed), would've cost about $320 total, not including multiple purchases of the same diaper packs.
So then we started planning the shower for November 14th, but I ended up needing to find a job late in my pregnancy, so I got so busy we didn't get the invites out. So then we rescheduled, but couldn't imagine a good time that everyone wouldn't be so distracted by the holidays that we'd be asking too much to borrow some of their time. Plus, we didn't want to wait too far after Christmas because I'm due the 18th of January and my first was born right on time, giving us the stress of me possibly going into labor early before the shower. So we settled on Friday, December 5th at 6 pm. Well, turns out that specific Friday was everybody's busy day because no one but my aunt showed up. I sent out 42 invitations...and nothing. This is also disregarding the fact that even my own mom and family who were supposed to be there to set up were too busy beforehand since their own plans prevented them from showing until it was time to clean up...)
I now have the option of leaving things where they lie...(some people found out and are helping last-minute, which is nice either way.) OR holding a baby viewing/announcement party at his 2-week age so people can have a specific time to see baby, (not hold him), and bring gifts if they want. Does this sound like a good idea?
So. As far as the shower goes - What would you have done?
1) Not have thrown a second shower
2) Make the shower date sooner than November (not possible for me, but hey hindsight is 20/20)
3) Have a post-birth shower
4) Stick with the baby viewing/announcement party.
Why do I feel that weekend wasn't everyone's busy weekend.... hm
Dirty Deleted but got QFP'd part way down. Crazylady doesn't like Disney or chicken nuggets so much that the idea is utting her off kids.
Yeah. She shouldn't be having kids. That way, she and her husband can sit in their house, eat pad Thai, and watch NatGo without a kid joining them. Or asking them to play with them. ::shakes head::
Dunno about the rest of you but having an excuse to watch Disney movies was one of my arguments FOR having kids.
Who needs an excuse?

@Skeemer I've actually done a boudoir shoot. It was for my husband as a wedding gift. He loved it. And I did not consider it pornography. In fact, it actually gave my confidence a boost. Clearly, that lady has no idea what she is talking about.
I can't link due to mobile, but on the September 2015 BMB there's a thread called "Anyone else get a BFp by prayer?"
OP is basically a scripture and then a "Can I get an Amen?" And when she gets the expected responses she back peddles and says she just wants to connect with other Christian moms. So much there!

People like this...I just cringe. Add this OP to the other one gazillion "Christian" or religious posters on TB that makes Jesus face palm.

I'm so bummed I can't get DS1 to watch any Disney movies besides Cars and Frozen. He's got no interest in any of the others.

Well this FB discussion on my local mom's group is really going places -
@bullybutt Now she's all like "I ain't bashing nobody. I'm just saying what *I* think. Why is everyone bashing me?"
*eyeroll*
The first few responses had me laughing so hard.
I can't tell if this is for real or not, really hoping it's not:
