Re: Random

  • My sister lives out of state and had her Christmas presents for the rest of the family shipped to my house.  I am way too excited for the UPS man to come even though none of it is for me.  I just love mail that isn't bills and junk!

  • @hmctagg01‌ it is awesome! All kids in middle school/high school have an iPad with the majority of their books and assignments!

Understanding that it is medically beneficial, but for real, they sure does look better circumcised. When I first inspected DS after he was horn, I had to do a double take, cuz silly me forgot baby boys don't come out snipped.
    Ha!  They are goofy looking.

  • Just made two banana breads and the house smells delish. They are both the weight watchers recipe but I might have ruined the calorie savings by making one chocolate pecan and the other coconut craisin.

I just made banana chocolate chip and pumpkin chocolate chip. Yummmm!
  • DH you better get off the "feed LO every time she whimpers" bandwagon.

I upped LO's last feed to 6oz last night. I do not think she needed a bottle at 430am!

More random BMB lurking - a nice little shit show over in M15, for those looking for some good reading..

Well that was entertaining but IMO, googling a username and stalking their Facebook is taking it too far. Just throw the idiot some snark and call it a day.

I haven't finished reading this yet but so far this is my favorite quote from OP, "Clearly some of you have not persured an education..." :-/

  • Veterinary PSA: NEVER give your pets human pain relievers (ie Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Aleve). I have a case in the hospital right now, a lab whose owner had been giving her Naproxen for the past week because she was "stiff". The dog, as of Monday evening, has gone through two blood transfusions and the owner's bill is well over $3000. I don't know if she'll make it. Waiting to hear from a coworker since I'm off today.

It's the no onions thing that's hard for me to stick to.  They are in everything.  Any cases of Heinz Body Anemia??

No. None recently. I'm over the smell of dogs vomiting chocolate though. F*cking holidays.

Welcome to me life. DH is very supportive and used to stay in the bedroom with me while I fed DS and put him to sleep to give me company. Until this happened every night haha.

Reminds me of my DH! We got into an argument about how it's different when he says he's exaugsted versus tired. Either way he falls asleep in front of the tv!

  • I just put LO to bed with 3oz in her belly. She usually takes 5 and I actually upped it two days ago to 6. I know I'll be waking up tonight....ugh.

  • Yay! Congrats @shinyredsmartazz‌!

Does anyone else feel like LO wakes up in the morning and decides "I'm going to do X today" without any build up? For example, over thanksgiving DD decided she'd start "talking". She'd never done more than the occasional single "goo" while smiling. Then one day it was just non stop cooing. Yesterday she decided she wanted to go to bed at 7ish instead of 9ish. Too bad I missed the cues yesterday until it was too late. But I got her to bed much more to her liking tonight. It'll be interesting to see how the night goes.

  • @theteno it is called Moodle. And it integrates with our online grade book and lesson plan platform called RenWeb.
  • @dvmmomma‌ , LO has also become quite inconsistent with his bedtime lately. One day it's 10, then 9, and yesterday was 8. I put him down when I see the cues. I'm really trying to avoid him being overtired and it seems to be a lot easier to understand his wants and needs now.

  • Ugh. This dry air gives my little man such a bad stuffy nose and then he has trouble sleeping. I hope he can get a good enough nap in this morning so we can take him to see Santa today!
  • And now I hear SIL will be trying again. I'm out of feelings to feel.

  • @Justine2502‌ she had first said they weren't going to have anymore cause her H wouldn't help out. So I got used to the idea of DH and I getting some attention from MIL throughout our childbearing years. (It is just DH and his sister, his sister gets all the attention from MIL, they are creepishly close.) I was also looking forward to possibly having the first boy. Anyway, she got pregnant few weeks ago. I was selfishly and pathetically butthurt over it. Then she miscarried and I felt like an asshole. Now they are going to try again I guess. I realize it all sounds stupid on my part for being upset about it.

I can understand you're feelings. I do believe they are temporary though. You just had your baby and all of a sudden they want another. I get it. You could maybe chalk it up to hormones but I do think you will get over it. :)

I get it. I miscarried my first and it took us two years of trying to get PG again. When I finally did, my sister announced she was pregnant and was due the day before me. She wasn't married yet and I was pissed because she is super needy of my parents so all my excitement was lost on her. Then two months after I found out I was pregnant again, she announced she was pregnant yet again.

The selfish butthurt feeling seems so petty but I get what you are saying because I know that feeling. My sister is the type who just leaves everyone else to take care of her kids so she can lay around and take a nap, so when we are all together I get zero help and feel like my kids get less attention because she is so needy.

  • Have a lot of your LO's eye color changed yet? My daughter's look more grey than blue and getting some caramel brown in the middle. I think it can take up to a year for the plot to show. Just wondering!
  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • DD's eyes are still very blue and she's almost 5 months. I'm hoping they'll stay this color because that would be the only thing she's gotten from me so far lol. She looks just like her daddy, I'd at least like her to have Momma's eyes.

    Same here.

  • My little guy's eyes are grey too.
  • This content has been removed.
  • DS' eyes have been super blue like his daddy's from day one, but now they're starting to lighten up in the center. Mine are blue with green/hazel tints around the pupil, so he may end up looking like Mom.

Side note: I just put away three massive laundry baskets that was full of laundry... That had been sitting in the bedroom for over a week... I feel accomplished and super guilty at the same time.
