Welcome. I'm using it as just a rough guide. I'd assume you could up your oz sooner by 7 months if they are already at 6oz by 3 months if you get what I'm saying. I was going nuts before I found it. I didn't know how much was too much or too little or how often.

  • I remember reading something about not talking to babies in baby talk and I guess I may have confused baby talk with parentese. Not sure how LO responded to it b/c I had to put out a fire at work all day, but yeah. Trying to work and hearing them high pitch oo-goo-ing at LO and asking him the same damn question ten times in a row ("show me a smile", "did you make a stink", or "who's a big boy") for hours on end = torture.

We had a Baby Einstein jumper for our first and he loved it.  It was like this:

For #2 I found a Fisher-Price space saver one that I am thinking about getting because the other one didn't fit through our narrow doorways very well when I wanted to move it to the room I was in.

@Kandreas1 We live in a one story house with a fairly open kitchen/dining room that is all tile. LO is very busy and loves to move, even now at 3 mo. That is why I think he would like the walker. And yes, if we get a stationary one I think yes on the bouncer. I have only looked on Amazon but the ones w wheels are only about $35...but they only have a couple toys. The stationary ones have lots more to do and are about double the price. I am tempted to do both....still not sure...
ETA. ..DH saw a Fisher Price Jungle one that is the bestseller on Amazon. It is stationary but bounces and looks pretty cool. It looks like it would be easy to move from room to room also.
  • I bought LO one for xmas. It is a fisher price and can be extended out for her to do a little walking in once she's bigger. I think it can bounce as well.

  • H took the boys to his parent's house for a few hours so I could get homework done in peace.  All I want to do is watch Gilmore Girls and take a nap.

  • DS turned 3 months yesterday, and rolled over front to back for the first time! Fun time is over ladies. No more "lemme leave you on the changing table for a quick second" for us.
  • DH and I had a terrible argument this am :( it had been brewing for quite a while.....but actually it cleared the air. After he went out and put up lights and I did stuff inside. Then we had a super fun afternoon getting our tree. Now to make lasagna and drink some wine....date night and home!
  • We've been pretty good about not accidentally hurting LO until last night. DH cut her skin trying to do fingernails. Today I'm pretty sure my grandma pinched her leg. And then I didn't catch her fast enough from banging her face on the table. My poor little girl has had a rough couple days :-(.

  • Sunday bitch: We keep all of our purses in the same big drawer at work. The two new girls smoke. By the time I leave for the day, all my personal belongings reek.

Most facebookers have a recognizable avatar.

  • We just went to lunch with both boys.  I think the next time that will happen will be in at least 3 years.  Holy balls it was a disaster!  DS1 was all over the place and LO grabbed a handful of my beans.  We ate fast and left. I literally did this when we got in the car:

  • @Justine2502 did you up your LO to 6oz? Mine has been continuously crying for a few days now and I can't tell if it hungry or tired or whatever it is. Seriously debating on upping her. I'm just so scared. So. Freaking. Expensive!

  • Lately I am so confused when i get on here.

Growth spurt @missmimsyy‌ ? And I am sorry....the comfort nursing and growth spurts have been the hardest part for me!
  • The Sageling has nursed for 10-15 min every 45 min for the last 6 hours.
Your poor nipples.  I feel touched out just reading this.

  • @IceHide61313‌ yep, he is drinking 6 oz every 3-4 hours. He downs them every time and seems satisfied after each feeding.

I always tried upping his oz when he woke up in the MOTN to eat. (After 2-3 nights in a row.) I go by this because by now I already know he is a great sleeper and so if/when he wakes up hungry then that's my cue to up his oz during the day and that's usually when he's going through a growth spurt too.

According to the pedi, for his weight and height, 6 oz is pretty spot on at 3 months.

Is your LO at 4-5 oz?

  • @Justine2502‌ she just turned 3 months today and is still at 5oz but I think I may try 6oz tomorrow. She was getting 5 bottles a day but now 6 since she's been waking motn. I'm doubting she'll be dropping a feed if/when I up her.

What's your LO's size? DD was 11lbs and 22in at her 2 month check.

So good to know there is someone else going through this right now!

  • Is this too sloppy to wear on a day-to-day basis? I want some thinner sweaters for when I am inside with the girls but I still want to look put together.

Looks super comfortable but still cute to me. But I am a t-shirt and jeans person.

  • It is on sale plus an additional 40% off!

Hopefully, I can mix it with jeans and leggings.

I leave y'all alone for one 12 hour shift, and we've got people getting called Ke$ha'd a$$holes, there are 12 threads about cereal, and a leak of crazy into our semi-normal gene pool. Do I have to quit my job to Bump full time?!

I love cereal!! Also kudos to you for rocking 12 hour shifts. I'm still being a weenie and not doing more than 8.

I would definitely wear this! Probably with some dark skinny jeans or leggings to keep it from looking frumpy. And I also would like to add that I made the image bigger and then proceeded to try to swipe on it to see the other view. I was getting annoyed it wasn't working. And then I remembered I was looking at a screen shot :-/

DS was 12.2 lbs and 23 1/2 in at 2 months. I'm guessing he is close to 14 lbs now.

Let me know how it goes!

  • I would like to send out a big FU to the mice that apparently crawled up into my car the other night and chewed all the wires, causing me to get a $300 bill from the Nissan dealer. And another suck it to the Nissan dealer for not covering that kind of crap with my warranty that I spent so much money on in the first place.

Ugh that really sucks. In the weeks before DS was born, a mouse sneaked into our house aswell. The cat killed it but not before he chewed up all the wires for our tv, surround sound and wii systems. We were soooo pissed. I feel for you.

  • The school I teach at is awesome with technology. We are an Apple Distinguished program and it's usually awesome. We also have a really cool online program to give tests and quizzes. However.....it's am having nothing but trouble with the online program....it's have literally just spent 2.5 hours on something that should have taken 30 min max and it is the fourth time I have worked on the same thing. At this moment I want to throw my iPad and computer in the pool and go back to the good old fashioned way of teaching. Ok...vent over. ...grrrr
  • So the CDC just released a statement saying that insurance should pay for circumcision bc there is medical evidence that the benefits outweigh the risk.....thanks only a year too late.

    edited bc words suck
insurance doesn't cover it always?  Our insurance covered it for both my boys.  Is it because it is elective?
