@lia619 oh that's awful. Here is my awful story- 6 months after DS1 was born, we planned a trip to San Antonio. It's a 6 hour trip of nothing from El Paso to San Antonio, only desert wasteland. I get horribly sick to my stomach. No rest areas, no trees, not even a freaking ditch! And finally I have to tell my amazing DH that I just shit myself in the car. We stopped at the first gas station, he got me clean clothes from the luggage, scoped out the restroom location and then cleaned my shit filled seat while I attempted to clean up. We then drove up to the Hyatt Regency in complete style and felt so bad as the valet jumped in the car to park it.
Met a woman today who doesn't take her kid to a pediatrician (ever) and is planning to EBF until she's at least 1.
I'm happy to not be quite that "crunchy".
Eta: she means no solids at all.
I like how being crunchy is now used by morons to defend/describe their actions.
Ohhhh I'm so earthy and aligned with the planets. My child doesn't need a dentist. I'll clean them with my organic gluten-free peppercorn kernels.
That's an overpriced Etsy shop in the making. Bottle them in cute little glass jars and you're good to go!

@fireflygirl12 I was thinking of you the other day, wondering where you'd gone! Glad to see you back and it sounds like you had a really nice month with your husband.
hey, you still haven't approved my FB request. sad face.
@embear22 how is she with other people? Is it just DH? DS1 went through a similar phase that didn't last too long. DH would get really stressed out and I think he could sense that and it would make him scream more. I tried to teach him not to panic so much if he's crying, just be calm and keep trying different things.
So when DS2 was about 2 weeks old I got super sick. I ended up throwing up for several days in a row. Since I was still taking stool softeners there were a couple times that I threw up so hard I not only peed myself, but crapped my pants at the same time. It was horribly embarrassing, but thankfully no one witnessed it.
The Ca emergency aid council is in my neighboring town distributing water since the towns water supply has run dry. My DH needs to pass his license exam tomorrow so we can get out of here. I need to get an emergency supply of water in the meantime.
It always amuses me when you type out the Boston accent. I dated a guy from the Boston area once, loved that accent. Any conversation about going to a "pahty" or "pahkin' the cah" was instantly better than that same conversation if I'd had it with another Michigander. I also ended up using the words "wicked" and "ripshit" far too often for awhile after dating him.
Actually, I still use "ripshit." Thanks, Mike, wherever you are!

I didn't even know ripshit was a Boston thing! I sound like an asshole irl.
I may just be assuming it is, but I'd never heard anyone say it prior to dating him and I've never heard anyone else say it since!

DH and I keep going back and forth about a 3rd kid. Like it's impossible for us to decide. We keep landing on waiting a few more months to see how things play out with these 2 and then discuss it again. We still talk about it almost daily anyways though. I kind of just wish a condom would break so we wouldn't have to decide.
We're going camping for the weekend and I'm not sure what to do for mosquito protection for the baby? We have some babynobugs baby legs, but I'm not sure what else I should do?

When I went camping with Carlene, we put mosquito screen over the pack n play if she was in it during the day, and overnight. You can get the screen in rolls at Home Depot and I used clothes pins to clip it in place.
We did the same thing at our cabin when she was sleeping in a box:

Off to the zoo today with 3 sils, 2bils, 2 nieces, 4 nephews, H and LO. I ADORE the zoo, just hoping that 6 nephews and nieces under 12 don't drive me batty.
@poru I am tempted to offer up my services for a hand drawn version of that... But then I remember I am a lazy artist. That thing is real cute. Carry on!
845 posts I'll never catch up! All the hugs and hi fives!
P got his shots yesterday and slept 12 hours last night! My boobs have been pumping for what feels like an hour!
Happy to have a lot of y'all on Instagram or tex message otherwise I'd really be going through A14 withdrawals. Going back to work and having limited time with LO and DH leaves no time for quality bumping.
Now, what did I miss.. :-B
September Siggy Challenge: What I Sing in the Shower: Little Mermaid "Part Of That World"
We had the wedding with the online-invites and tofu dame registries last night. Beautiful venue. Open bar. Popcorn and trail mix during the cocktail hour. Chipotle catered for dinner (nomnom) and...an ICE CREAM TRUCK as the dessert in lieu of cake. Overall, not too shabby.
Eta: damn ipad autocorrected gofundme to tofu dame.

I'm going to throw up, I'm going to throw up. My cat dragged in a dead lizard and I stepped on it. I can't even with these damn felines.
This has happened to me. It's sooo F'ing nasty feeling. I showered for 30 mins after and threw away the loofa
--- My old cat once left a half dead bunny on our front steps and I stepped on it. Then cried and my dad drove 45 minutes to the emergency vet clinic.
Oh and once my cat brought a half dead bird into the house and it flew through the hallways and there were blood on the walls and feather everywhere.
Did I mention I only have a dog now?
My dog killed a mole and I found it when he was barking like a lunatic at it and kept picking it up and dropping it. Gag. I started dry heaving and was holding LO and trying to pull the other dog from trying to eat it. So. Gross. Everyone was locked inside for the afternoon and poor Mr. Mole was saved for DH to clean up.
Cat story: One time my cat growing up puked up a whole mouse. Nastiest thing I had ever seen.

So I'm thinking of making some cute Halloween themed onesies for some kind of prize giveaway on here. I just love Halloween and I planned on making some for LO, as you all (maybe) know I formerly worked in fashion, including designing baby clothes.
Maybe for the September siggy winner? I've never competed in it, so I don't know who's in charge. Thoughts??

My husband can be so amazing.
And I thought it was funny because DH and I are thinking of waiting until DS is closer to 8mo to start solids, which seemed radical.
