We got our shipment of diapers that we got for a great price (24 diapers and 48 liners for $130) today. Anyone ever used Kawaii diapers before? We read good reviews, so hopefully they will work well, since I already spent the money. Picture included. Grant's probably thinking "Dad, you are doing it wrong"
i have a few kawaii in my stash- i like them.

Landlord problems: DH just left to go look at a possible water leak in the basement of our rental. The kicker is we're supposed to be leaving first thing in the morning to drive to Philly. I'm hoping it's just a water line to the washing machine that's leaking, or tomorrow is going to get interesting...
I have the weirdest collection of junk on my night stand. I almost posted a gtky "What's on your night stand?" but then I realized most people probably are not near as messy as I have let my room get....
My 2yo has been methodically removing items from my dresser. It will soon be clean if she keeps it up.
guise! i'm bumping from my brand new Microsoft surface pro 3 tablet I just got. The keyboard is so cray. I got it for a super good deal, and was able to sell my old tablet today, too. this is going to make school sooo much easier for me..which starts monday
Finally went out and got the box of cloths marked 9-18m out of my shed today. I washed them and now I'm sitting here freaking out. This baby is way to big. Some of these outfits I just put away this spring. Like really the month before she was born. I am now almost entirely sure they will both be wearing the same size by the end of the year. McFatty needs a baby exercise program.

You could have posted a "what's in your night stand" and I could have responded with "a sparkly green dildo/vibrator"... But that opportunity went out the window when DD got to the age where she started going through drawers, and I went into my bedroom one day to find the drawer open with The Hulk (as DH and I call it) lying suspiciously on the floor. Yep, RELOCATED. Let's be real though, that thing doesn't get much use anyway.
March 2017 September Siggy Challenge: Favorite Fall Things
I'm totally procrastinating on packing tonight. I'm going to lovely Indiana for my cousins wedding, in a tent in their backyard. I was told to probably wear shorts because it'd be hot. And since my parents and I are the only ones that can go, I'll be riding with them in their car for 12 hours listening to holy god Limbaugh and my crazy 70 year old mother talk about how Obama should be shot. First time away from the baby and it's not even going to be fun!!

I haven't put together my nightstand since moving, but when I packed, I put all of the things that were on my nightstand into a box labeled "bedside stuff" so that I could put it all back onto my nightside...
My name is Samantha, and I have a problem.

I was just killing time reading snopes - as you do - and saw some thing about someone refusing to take a $2 bill.
can someone explain? I gather that you can get $2 bills but they are rare or something? do most people carry $1 bills so if something was $2 you would give 2 x $1 bills, or if you gave a $5 bill you get 3 x $1 in change??
We have coins here, $1 and $2 coins, then $5, $10 etc notes. all are used with pretty much the same frequency, so to hear that $2 bill isnt used often, I find that very strange!

If someone hands you a $2 bill it's like they just handed you Monopoly money even though the $2 is legit currency
This. The $2 bill is legal tender in the US, but you almost never see it in day-to-day circulation. It's more of a novelty than anything else, cursed to a lifetime in children's coin collections.
March 2017 September Siggy Challenge: Favorite Fall Things
Box of tissues, empty cup, Oxycod/apap from having baby, nasal aspirator, coaster, glass of water, necklace, lamp, glasses case, wubbanub, pen, humidifier, and that's only on the top! It's not even that big lol
@celticlullaby I used to have one of those tubs, it was a hand me down from my old ballet teacher. My MIL decided to move only days before my due date and with everything else it got thrown away. Also I need to give both girls a bath at once, with the water restrictions and all. Plus I'm alone here. I have a mesh bath chair for her but she being so fat floats real well and keeps flipping out of it into the tub. This all made me think if a Monty Python joke...what floats in water? She's a witch!!!
Lamp, candles, figurine, charging galaxy tab 3 water bottle caps. (I always remember to toss the bottles but forget to grab the caps so I grab em when i notice)
A KAL is when a group of knitters all work on the same project. It's like a stitch and bitch but everyone doing the same thing instead of separate projects. You could start with a wash cloth or a scarf for example, something that only requires knit and purl is easiest to start. I'm sure we could work something out. Also there are many great knitting videos on YouTube.
Edit: and maybe someone can teach me crochet. I'm left handed and I have watched all the YouTube videos and I still can't effing get it!
Tervis tumbler, burp cloth and nearly-empty bottle, blistex, my glasses, a coaster, the mushroom night light.
Random fun fact- Tervis Tumblers are made in my tiny town Venice, FL. I grew up visiting the old original factory, so it always suprises me when people other places have Tervis and know what they are.
My nightstand: baby monitor, lamp, lotion, stuffed dog I got from DH in college, BLW book I want to start reading, two nursing pads... There'd be more but the cat mocks shit off there all the time so I tend to try and keep it clean.
Nightstand: monitor, a weird sensory block toy, and 7,000 empty formula bottles. We do ready to pour for the motn, and bottles just collect there until the cleaning lady comes and I feel ashamed and clean before she gets here.

I like my kawaii, but my new overnight kawaii just leaked like crazy last night. I need to do some adjustments I think.
Patting myself on the back today. Both my older kids were asked to participate in First Lego League* this year. Third year for my oldest, but my youngest has just been invited for the 1st time. Only 10 kids/grade are chosen. My kids have big brains and can not lie. hee hee.
*A robotics program for elementary and middle school kids. Part of the STEM program.
That's awesome! I actually went to one of the first high schools that had a FIRST team. It's part of why I went into science. It is such a great program, congrats to your kiddos!
What team were you on?

Requesting happy healing a14 juju - Fi's been running a fever since Tuesday and it started cycling really high last night. We can get it back to mid-range with Tylenol and cool washcloths, but now she's refusing to nurse too. She went to the doctor yesterday, headed back out in a few so we'll be waiting at the door for them to open basically. (ER is next door if they can't get us in, but I'd rather see someone specialized in infants.)
((Hugs)) I hope it is nothing.

4am I got up, fed G, bumped and went back to bed. Being on A14 caused me to then dream that I was at this massive knitting party with tons of drinking going on. I showed up to the party already pretty drunk because I had pre gamed it. Thanks RTT and walk of shame thread...it was a pretty fun party in my dream though
People that gridlock make me really angry. The bridge is up, you aren't going anywhere for the next 5 mins, but now you have blocked the intersection so other people can't go other directions.
@macgrs woo hoo Wildcards. I was on team 95 the Grasshoppers. We went to nationals twice but it was in Austin and Atlanta.
Nice, I remember your team! Pretty sure you guys won regionals one of the years I did it. Sometimes they show the competitions on the public station here, it's fun to watch
Also, my MIL, who is basically Emily Gilmore, developed a deep love of techno music from FIRST competitions and one of my favorite memories of our wedding was her dancing her heart out to Sandstorm.
We did win regionals one the year I was a driver. *brushes off shoulder*
That's funny about your MIL, I would pay money to see that lol.

So many baby wearing moms at the Charlotte airport this morning.
My nightstand: Glass of water, vitamins, lotion, cocoa butter, toilet paper (use as tissues), monitor, and phone charger.
