I am so glad I eloped. My wedding cost $50 and that included the bill at Anderson's Split Pea Soup. /:)
The one at the 5/165? My mom used to always make us stop there when we drove north. I have way too many photos of me sticking my head through that damn photo sign as a kid.
No the original one in Buelton, (Solvang). It's iff the 246.

Excuse me I'm having internet problems.
I have been to that one too! Sadly I dont like pea soup.
lol, I have also learned a new way of scaring of Jehovah's witnesses. Have your baby throw up all over you while they are at the door. Lady couldn't wait to get away!
This is our last "girls weekend" (my mom has been staying with us since I went back to work but their lease on their house starts September 1st) so we decided to celebrate. Staying tomorrow night in a hotel so we can go swimming! It's even got a little baby pool so this may be OG's first time in water! (If I can find a swim diaper for her). A big hotel bed, a pool, and free breakfast! What more could you want!?! <:-P
Reading about you ladies having issues with DH makes me feel like a real bitch.
I'm the one working while DH stays home. He is amazing, and I openly acknowledge he has the harder job of the two of us.
But...
We have fallen into a really good routine where I get home I take over looking after DD, he does the cooking and the dishes while I bath, feed and put DD to bed.
I don't care what chores he does during the day, if he doesn't do anything it doesn't bother me, I know how hard it is to get anything done with baby.
Except laundry!
Because we use cloth nappies, and only have a supply of 20, its really important that they get done every day. or at least every second day. And because its been winter, its been hard getting things dry without using the dryer. DH is really REALLY slack with laundry. He doesn't see the need to do it every couple of days so consequently we are always running out of clean nappies and have to use disposable. And when he does do it, it ends up sitting around on drying racks for days because he doesn't want to use the dryer. Also his "dry" is a bit different from my "dry". With DD clothing, it must be completely dry. He doesn't mind if its slighly damp (granted this is very very slightly like barely detectable) but for her stuff I don't think that's healthy. Oh and I am the one who actually folds and put away the clothing. This has kinda become my job.
I have tried to be subtle - asking if it would help if I put on the laundry on before I left for the day, or if there is any way I can help with the laundry. He doesn't want my help at all and gets mad if I try but its driving me mad not having clean nappies all the time. I don't say anything, but its getting more and more difficult to hold my tongue.
Edit: clarify

For all my fellow Dr. Who fans - I forgot about this, and stumbled across it on my phone a little bit ago:
Mind Blown!!!!
New season starts on Saturday! I cant wait! thought I have to wait till Sunday morning so excited!
I have to wait until at least Sunday, since we're traveling this weekend, but I can't wait until we can watch that DVR. Aiden had better be a good boy and go to bed easy on Sunday - Mommy and Daddy have a date with The Doctor!
Totally off topic here, but...Alaska's most famous serial killer died today! We don't have to worry about this sicko breaking out of prison and killing again. (Not that it was something I was really concerned about, but still.)
May his victims rest in peace.

Yes, little old seamstress lady who is sweet but speaks little English. I know my dress is tight. My weight gain is hanging out in the car seat grinning at you. :-w

I was so friggin' happy to see that this afternoon.
We've caught Sullivan rolling belly to back like, once. He knows how but gives no fucks about getting back to his back. Back to belly though? All day every day. Put him on his back, blink, and he will be doing baby push ups.

Does your washer have a timer? Sometimes I'll set my washer so that by the time it starts and finishes when I'm waking up so I can toss it in the dryer.
Oh good plan! Also, could do it the night before, and throw in the dryer in the morning.... See thats why I need RTT, to think logically for me! duh

I just had the most frustrating conversation with BRU customer service trying to get my Rewards R Us account corrected. I bought something for someone via their registry and they returned it. No biggie, although I don't understand why they wouldn't give the A&A blankets a chance. They returned other items and my account got those points deducted from it too.
I was on the phone for 25 minutes and she kept asking for the same info over and over. I asked her if she couldn't just credit my account? I finally told her I was tired of being on the phone with this not getting resolved and I would just send an email.
:-w
Don't you know that the criteria to work at BRU is having an IQ less than 20? Seriously, worst customer service ever.
Aiden may have rolled back to belly once, but the only one who saw what happened was my three year old niece, and if you ask her, he didn't do it himself, but she didn't move him either... :-??

Who was the driving force behind doing CDs? I ask, because I think successful CDing depends partially on the person doing the laundry being 100% enthusiastic about the whole shebang.
Crazy how so many of us experience new 'skills' almost exactly at the same time. My LO started back to belly yesterday and did it again today. I was running around getting ready while she hung out in the crib and only caught the tail end of the rolls. Belly to back first happened pretty early on Mother's Day.
Liam has been rolling belly to back for a few weeks now but rarely would go back to belly before today. I think all the interesting stuff was easier to see when he was on his back so there was no motivation to do it. But now that he figured out how to combine the movements and get where he wants to go it is on! He only goes in one direction (his left) so far. Wears him out!
DS only rolls to the left so far. He can combine his rolls from back to belly then back again. He has ended up smooshed against the crib rail quite often.

I wish there is a conference call dial-in number for R TT when I'm commuting in traffic.
I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before, but every time I see a pic of your daughter she is wearing something Isla has too... We have great taste.
Survey time: has anyone ever done a random act of kindness?
Anddd sorry I'm the jerk that posts 3 times in a 10 minute span, all about nothing.

This means I have great taste too, cuz she just said the same thing about E the other day, LOL!!
Toddler fell in the pool today. He's fine, didn't swallow any water or even get upset about it. But man did he sink like a sack of potatoes.
Target IS a really fancy place where all the cool kids shop.
Patting myself on the back today. Both my older kids were asked to participate in First Lego League* this year. Third year for my oldest, but my youngest has just been invited for the 1st time. Only 10 kids/grade are chosen. My kids have big brains and can not lie. hee hee.

Ahhh that's great! I did FIRST robotics and I loved it.

@celticlullaby how scary! I don't have anything other than a paddling pool but I did want to try it. And for the bath too! So I guess I will continue in my quest to find a bath time solution since she can't sit by herself 100% upright without help. This kid is so behind where I feel she should be for milestones. I keep trying to remind myself DD1 is the outlier not DD2 but my brains segueing with itself.
Edit: segueing should be arguing but it's funny so I'm going to leave it.
