I miss everyone but on the plus side its nice to see that so many lurkers are getting comfortable enough to start posting. I hope they stay if the others start coming back
Is it just me or is everyone's profile pics gone? RTT stop being broken!!!
So my mom is coming tomorrow for Savannah's dedication, my house is a mess and I am sitting on the sofa playing on the iPad instead of cleaning while S naps. I hate cleaning!
Yea though RTT walks through the valley of the shadow of death, it shall fear no drama, for A14 art with it. Our snark and our lovetits, they comfort it.
March 2017 September Siggy Challenge: Favorite Fall Things
Oh what a fun Friday. A manager and the Owner just butted heads so they are being all super bitchy and everyone is walking around on tiptoes. Is it 5pm yet? Just want to get home to my husband and baby where it is nice and drama free.
March siggy challenge: Dream job = Playing with wolves
A mom here in town just found she has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Her kids are 14 and 17. I don't know what would be worse. Facing my own mortality or watching my kids face my mortality.
My day doesn't seem so awful now. How awful, I don't know if I could handle knowing what my child would go through...that would be the worst.

I'm finally working up the nerve to de-lurk. I've been around since the beginning, but just never screwed my courage up to the sticking point. So here I am, glad to finally come out of the woodwork. I've learned so much from you all--you've kept me company through many an hour of nursing and kept me sane through countless wakeful nights. I feel like it's kind of now or never if I'm gonna jump in. I'm mama to an April 2 baby boy and glad to officially meet you!
My husband and I are sitting in our hotel room in Boston, drinking champagne and getting ready to go to dinner. He's even being a good sport and going to Garth Brooks with me tonight... Best anniversary weekend ever!

So I was changing DD and her poop fell off of the diaper. With my super ninja reflexes I managed to reach out and catch it before it could hit the floor. I feel like the world's grossest superhero.

So sorry to hear this sad news I can't imagine. I think watching my kids deal with my mortality would be the worst thing.

I do like long walks on the beach. Or used to when I was growing up in CA. Now I live in the middle of the country, which has its own delights. I'm 40 and my hubby and I have been married for 2 years. LO is our only, though we hope for a sibling sooner rather than later. I work from home most days, which means I spend most days worrying that I am not doing a good enough job as a mom or as an employee, but it's a juggling act I'm glad to get to attempt. Looking forward to getting to know you all better.
RTT is where I got sucked in right after DS was born. I can't keep up with FB. It took me a half hour to read one thread of comments! Anywho, what do you want to talk about?
Has anyone's LO ever bruised while teething? My LO has 3 top teeth pushing through, and she has a bruise on her cheek. She hasn't fallen, so I'm not sure what else it could be.
New SAHM in a new city with DHs job. I met another mom and exchanged #s today... I've never been great at new friends, last one that stuck was from HS. So here's hoping!
@mommyofmac the show was amazing. He played for 2 hours and 45 minutes, all his old classics. We had floor seats, which were really awesome, I wish I had bought tickets to more than one show. Trisha Yearwood came out for about 5 songs, she was good too. I have no voice left, and my stupid boots killed my feet, but it was worth every minute!
Also, I agree that it's super frustrating trying to find where I left off in the RTT.

I make plenty of surface friends. I'd love to make friends IRL who are deep friends. All of my closest are also from HS and now live out of state.
I need some deep friends, too. I have a small group of mommy friends I've met in the last year and we are working on getting to that point. It takes time, though.
@Care6582 I went to Garth in November! He originally had 5 shows (I think) and then they sold out so fast he doubled shows and played the whole week before, too. That man is a beast! Who at that age can play a show on Thursday, 2 on Friday, and 2 on Saturday 2 weeks in a row!? He was amazing. I loved Trisha and the the girl that opened too.
No opener in Boston, but he was amazing! He played Thursday, 2 shows last night, 2 shows tonight and one tomorrow here. We went to the late show last night and he was incredible! We lucked out with floor seats too, so it was like a dream come true for me!

Welcome @Sporty1216 ! I work from home so I totally get it. Everyone says I'm sooo lucky to get to stay home and make a living, but man is it way harder than I imagined!
I can barely get the dishes done when I am home with DD. I give you props for accomplishing ANYTHING!

---------- I think this is why it's hard when I am home with Liam. I feel like I HAVE to accomplish things and then I get frustrated when I don't.

Liam is still sick (just terrible diarrhea, no throwing up). But he's passed something on to me that has left my stomach a mess... Wah wah
I don't get a real weekend, only Sundays.
