1 month check up tomorrow! Where has the time gone?!? I am curious to see how much she has grown in 4 weeks! It's amazing how fast they grow! First pic today, second pic week 1! Crazy!
Ahh @dani+california super jealous. I have been needing to weed our front yard for weeks. I think you gave me the motivation to get it done tomorrow!
Finally went to the lab and peed in a cup to see if I have a UTI. I'm pretty sure my urethra is infected from the catheter. Hoping that's what is wrong so I can get on some antibiotics!
I was positive I had a UTI about 2 weeks PP. It hurt to pee and the muscles were so sore! It was terrible! Turns out inflammation from the catheter takes a while to manifest. My doc described it as almost a "sprain" of the muscles up there from a combination of the pushing and the catheter. Took another 2 weeks to feel better and is still a tad tender when I have to push to poop. Hope everything works out for you!
This is the only way she'll stop screaming. I don't drink often, but fuck, do I want some liquor! :-w She's propped up by my hand, sitting upright on my leg. Can't get her to relax any way else. Flat, inclined on the bed, either of her swings... Oy!
@fourthnlast I did it! Cooked, ate, and even cleaned up afterward!
And I'm not even ashamed that this is the first real meal I've cooked since C was born... He is seven weeks old tomorrow. If it weren't for my chef husband, I'd have survived on Crispix and Beefaroni.
I love bath time with Aiden. He loves it and it's so soothing for him and fun for me to see him enjoying something so much. Throw in the fact that he's half asleep and all I have to do is nurse him to get him to sleep, and I'd do bath time before every nap if I could!
Yes!! After her bath, Emma is super cuddly and so relaxed, love it.
What the hell am I doing?! LO has been sleeping for over an hour and I'm watching netflix....
This! LO falls asleep around 10 but I wanna watch Conan...
My issue tonight too. I managed to pull off an 11:30 to 12 half sleep nursing session where she just passed back out. Could I then fall asleep? Noooooo

I may need to move baby out of our bed. DH had twice cuddled with us in his sleep and squished LO between us, she gets quite upset.,.
I hope this wont change how long she sleeps at night as she's been super consistent for these few hours and with the cluster feeding during the day I need my sleep.

Oh i seriously hope that's the case!! It's been tender the whole time though, so I just have a nagging feeling it's something worse. But that could also just be the pessimist in me!
I was the same way. I bought one of those home tests to check and it came back negative. It was weird how it got so much worse a few weeks PP but the worst of it only lasted a few days before it was manageable. Does it feel really sore if you try to do a kegel exercise? If so I think you are dealing with the same thing...just swollen and sore muscles. Not fun but nothing to worry about either. Oh motherhood. Always something right?
ETA: I also had stopped taking Ibuprofen for pain because I was feeling better right before that and once I started keeping up with taking that I felt immensely better. Helped with the swelling I suppose.
I'm here-ish. Visiting my parents for the first overnight away from home, still battling this thrush 2 weeks after diagnosis (ugh), and generally just super busy without lots of time to come on here.
Glad to see I'm not the only one awake. It is brutal to stay awake and keep B upright for 30 minutes after she eats. I want to get back to bed and snuggle with to the hubs.
What is up with this kid?! Last night she wouldn't take the boob without a nip shield and tonight she wants nothing to do with the shield and will only take the nipple! (Not a bad thing but what a weirdo!)

All of this!!! It doesn't hurt when I pee, but just as I stop. Plus I am physically sore feeling down there... And I only had the catheter in for 30 minutes! It sucks so bad! Mine started exactly 1 week PP. So another week huh? I too take ibuprofen. Feel better ladies... Wasn't warned about this!
May the Fourth Be With You: Our 5-4-14 Baby: Andrew Joseph
Hi RTT, haven't posted since before DD was born.
My body is all messed up because DD does not sleep for longer than an hour and a half, even at night. So my body is all kinda of confused. I started craving a beer but then realized it's only 8am. Womp.
Hope everyone and their LOs are happy and healthy!
I'm so freaking annoyed with DH. Money is beyond tight, and he's going on a weekend trip to myrtle beach. And then he's getting pissed at me when I question money being spent. Umm I literally have not spent a penny on me or the boys or dogs out of the bank account. I've only used gift cards for us. The only thing coming out is bills and him, and I need to make sure he doesn't spend bill money!! When he goes off to these schools, he starts thinking like a single guy and not a family guy and gets pissed that he can't spend money like his single friends. Sorry, you got married and had kids, you have to be responsible with money. Not to mention, WTF?! I don't get a weekend trip with friends to a beach. I don't even get bathroom breaks alone.
I need to be productive today around the house but I really don't see that happening. I swear I suck at this whole SAHM thing even though I've been doing it for 5 years. Its really hard to find motivation to clean when its just going to be undone by everyone else in the house in a matter of seconds.
FFTC: I'm slightly scared about my 6 week appointment tomorrow....I'll have to face the fact that I'm not doing so well emotionally and it always makes me feel like a failure. I don't even know where I stand on having any PP mood issues, I know my anexity has been a problem but its calmed down some.
I just needed to get that out....sorry for the rant.
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~

I'm really scared for my check today too, but because I'm sure it's going to be really painful. :-(
@thomas930 I'm sorry things are still rough and I totally feel you on trying to clean the house while kids live in it.
@imnatari I'm so glad you had a good first day back!! Your mom and Alice will fall into their own rhythm too, and she'll be back to napping in no time.
My separation application was finally approved!!!
Memory refresher: I've been trying to separate from the Air Force since about October. I got denied when I applied under our pregnancy regulation because they wouldn't waive the remainer of my service commitment. But now, because the AF is overmanned in my career field and cutting people because of budget decreases, they started a voluntary separation program that waived commitments like mine.
End result: I'm going to get paid nearly $70k to quit! Now I can be a SAHM and not worry about getting stationed apart from DH or getting deployed and having to leave DS with already encumbered relatives.
Yay! So much stress gone now. And I can call the day care to take us off the waiting list!

i just read derrick the book "love you forever" and ugly cried all over the top of his head
Stuck in the quote box! I read LO "You Are My I Love You" and should have known better. Sob fest. Even DH who is NOT an emotional person read it and agreed that "it was pretty heavy". There should be a warning label for PP mamas!

I LOVE THAT STORY!!! My mommy used to read it to my twin and I. I'm trying to get my hands on a hard copy for LO. I read it to him while pregnant (from my tab) and actually read it to him the day before yesterday. My heart ">

Also I'm still getting heartburn... Boo

Real time page!! HOLLA!
I'm here-ish. Visiting my parents for the first overnight away from home, still battling this thrush 2 weeks after diagnosis (ugh), and generally just super busy without lots of time to come on here.
Glad to hear things worked out. One less thing to worry about
That's so weird. You'd think people might have noticed something when seeing her IRL.
Edit:
Things like this are why I don't post pics of myself or family or anything like names or where I live.
I like to think the best of people but you just never know...
Also, they are hysterical normally. Good place to lurk for laughs.

The parenting drama sounds like the snail!
