@snmetz7 I get that. I can't even get changed in front of him right now or he'll run or dive over just to feel me up he really is like a horny teenage too.

This kid grunted in her RnP the entire night last night. I think I got an hour of sleep total. Who wants to drive to Ann Arbor and bring me Starbucks? Anyone? No?
Don't watch the Lifetime movie, Return to Zero. While it was a really good movie, I cried and cried and cried some more.
I think it is about time this story was told. For me all the emotions were spot on. I hope they were able to convey the emotions well for non loss mommas.
I have never experienced a loss, but holy shit. I can't even fathom the pain, and yes, the emotions came across perfectly.
@KendraColeslaw my DD loves it. We've only given her soothies so the wubbanub is perfect for us. now that she can grasp the ears (we have a bunny) and the legs I rarely need to pop it back in her mouth. I use it mostly for naps and in the car. It's adorable to find her snuggled up with it when she's asleep.
Is the wubbanub worth trying for babies who don't generally care for pacis? I can get LO to "mouth" certain pacis, but then she starts to get upset and spits it out. She loved her soothie the first week, so I'm hopeful she'll take one again in the future. So many of you have the wubbanub! Are they beneficial in any way, or do they just look cute?
For us, it's just easier for her to keep it in her mouth. She likes it the same as her regular soothie I think.
@pinceconey I sang Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" all throughout pregnancy and I bawl whenever I sing it to Merri to soothe her.
@dani+california My little girl is doing this right now. I'm pretty sure she sucks down a gallon at a time so I nurse her reeeeeeeeeeeal slowly. I'm nursing every hour a day and not because I'm going slow...but because she's growing. A lot.
@celticlullaby Are you the Grey's Anatomy fan? The finale? WAAAAAAH.
@aronie82 Don't read it. Don't. Just send good love and good juju and support.
Had my work meeting today. Merri wouldn't have been any more different than she's ever been in her whole entire 25 days (25 days...WTF?!?!?) of existence. My sleep-through-the-morning baby is fussy as hell, only sleeping on mommy and wanting my booby every hour.
Thank the lord my new job is rad and kid-friendly and didn't care that I had to nurse her four times in 2 1/2 hours.
Not sure you read my post right...she's not on the boob or wanting to eat...just wanting to cuddle and snuggle
Missed all weekend bumping which is apparently 20+ pages of thread. Also apparently messed up on my last 'hey i'm trying to catch up' so i'll just say "hiiii" to everyone and send good wishes. Will lurk better this week.
As for sex... I definitely don't "want" it. I am just so happy to feel like I have my body back! (and by back, I mean a deep cavernous belly button, milk squirting boobs and a flabby stomach ) I am hoping by the time 6 weeks rolls around I will be much more interested. My DH is super cuddly and that has been really nice to have all the affection without the pressure of physical intimacy...but I am only 2 weeks PP, I can only imagine by the time a few more weeks pass...

Looks like DD is going to be referred to a rheumatologist. Her doctor still thinks it periodic fever syndrome but he still wants to refer her out to see what they say.

I've never heard of that. Hope that you are able to control it and that LO feels better.
@KendraColeslaw another vote for the wubbanub! My DS uses it it's nice because sometimes he can grab his Dino and get it back in his mouth. Not always obviously but it's better then nothing.
He thought she was sleeping, but I looked and her eyes were open. She just wanted to cuddle with her daddy. :x (And no, he didn't take a selfie; I took this. lol)
@dani+california also super jealous. The community garden we started across the street was covered with hay by the city before hand and I found out I'm HELLA allergic to the hay so I can't work in it. Happy gardening to you!!!!! Get more time in for me :-)
Look who weeded, tilled and planted the whole front garden today! Ahhhh I've been dying to get it done. I waited until LO was sleeping, popped him in his swing, brought it outside and went to work.
Got it all done before he woke up! I like how everything I do in life now is measured in naps. It's like a race...but nobody wins. Bahaha
Jealous! I need to do mine but fuss monster isn't letting me do anything!
Homeboy just let loose some massive turds while nursing just now and he appears to have passed out in relief... He's only been eating 5 min. Now what...

DD keeps spitting up what seems like all the milk she's drank. We're both like, drenched in milk and spit up Nd I can't figure out what is suddenly going on with her.
How old is your LO? I can't remember... That's what Aiden did, and it was literally overnight he went from being a minimal spitter to a monster spitter, complete with angry crying - stupid reflux...
Edit: whoops, forgot to say he was exactly one month when it started
@ColleenSwerb Penny is doing that too! Just started like 2 days ago. She's also been weird about feeding in general.... All of my clothes smell like spit up right now.
@PoppySeedWindsor - meeee!!! i hate when D's nose has all these boogies in it. when i start he will start screaming like i'm killing him and cry real tears. i give him his plug afterwards and he looks at me with those teary eyes, like "why did you do this to me!? i thought you loved me!!" lol
One of our cats discovered the gumdrop pacis we got at the hospital, and picked it up and carried it in his mouth like a baby... I think I caught it on video, but DH and I were dying! )
Good thing Aiden doesn't like them or he'd have to fight the cat for them, and he'd probably lose since the cat still has 2-3 lbs on him!
Witching hour started early today. However, I am still determined to make a real dinner with a protein, veg, and starch. I got C to sleep in the k'tan, after much yoga ball bouncing, and sausage and quinoa are cooked. If I can get the green beans cooked and manage to eat before he starts crying again, I'm gonna feel so friggin accomplished!
Same here! I was determined to make a decent meal tonight. Success!!
Some nights I feel bad that DH's baby shift of 8pm-2am includes the witching hour(s). Then I remember how my day went, kiss them both, grab a fistful of lactation cookies, turn the monitor off, and snuggle into my king size Tempurpedic by myself to fall asleep watching my shows. I think this nighttime reprieve and my morning coffee are my only true moments of relaxing!!
I love bath time with Aiden. He loves it and it's so soothing for him and fun for me to see him enjoying something so much. Throw in the fact that he's half asleep and all I have to do is nurse him to get him to sleep, and I'd do bath time before every nap if I could!
my BF has the baby and they are both dozing. i have an alcoholic beverage and i have only taken 3 sips and feeling quite warm already. the semi-low tolerance i had before getting pregnant is pretty much non existant now. oh boy it's gonna be a fun night
Do any of you other lactaters enjoy squeezing your boob to see how far you can shoot milk across the room? I play that game in the shower and always giggle.
That's all I've got. We've had an "I can't wait until he's...older/bigger/ less fussy/quieter/less gassy" day today. But I did get my baby snuggles in.

Me too! LO is asleep, and I'm super tired and have a headache, but I'm bumping. Should sleep now before she wakes up and decides to fight sleep some more

He sleeps in his napper and this pillow (like a mini boppy) cradles him just right like this. Think I've tricked him into thinking he's being held!!
