I'm having a really rough day. I wish I could take a pic of DS2 with tattooed DH, but that won't happen for another 4 months. DH is in a pissy mood, and I'm sure it's because he is missing us. But until he realizes it, I have a pissy DH who is snappy with me and spends a shit ton of money. And to make my day worse, I attempted to shop for shorts today.

  • I can't figure out the cradle hold for the ktan. Any tips? We sort of have the upright fetal position mastered but I worry about LOs feet/legs being positioned weird/uncomfortably.
  • Ugh sorry about your basement @honeyzoo‌ - that sucks! I hope it's covered by insurance!

Went back to milking cows today unexpectedly (Milker didn't show up) and I am currently in the back room pumping my milk. Too bad now my pump is going to be manure odored... Also really hoping none of the farm boys walk in on me.
Why do my boobs look so good?image
    Then I peed on a stick...image
  • Maybe it is the lack of good sleep talking, or the cabin fever, or the lack of a really yummy hot meal with a protein veggie and a carb all at the same time, but I am so fucking ready to go back to work. My hubs got hired at my restaurant and went to my job about 20 minutes ago, and I am so freaking jealous.
  • @colleenswerb-I had to order a bridesmaid dress for a wedding in August two weeks after B was born. They ordered a size that is double the number I normally wear. It's going to be a bitch to get it altered in three months.
  • @honeyzoo I'm soooo glad he can fit it now! He looks sooo adorable!!!
  • Clair - Her daughter and her friends, our daughter included, decided to play the alphabet game while chugalugging bourbon and it seems that Vanessa was very drunk when she left.
Cliff - She must have lost.

    Looove the Cosby Show.

I was just watching that episode the other day
  • LO is finally asleep *i hope*- only took 2 1/2 hours.
    Such a grumpy panda today...

  • I cannot begin to explains level of frustration with my bf right now. I'm trying so hard not to be but it's not working.
  • Yesterday I had 2 grandmas at my house which equalled LO being held for 16 hours straight ( and of course spewing advice to each other and at me). So when they went to bed at 11pm---me and DH were up for 5 hours with a screaming baby who was wide awake. He wanted to play and scream and wouldn't latch to my nip! He just laid under it and let it drip into his mouthy like a damn leaky faucet. Finally at 4 am he fell asleep when we turned ON the lights and put him in a vibrating chair. Ugh. New rule: Baby cannot be held all freaking day!! And never will 2 grandmas be in our house for so long!

    Ugh I hear you!

We thought it would be a great idea to visit my mil, FIL , and DH grandmother.

1.5 hour drive each way and LO and I are sick...

They thought I fed her too often. She doesn't feel good and was a bit o ER stimulated so she wanted to nurse.

On the way home sick overtired LO screamed. We stopped twice to nurse and a third time for a diaper... We sang every children's song we could remember. We got home and she immediatly passed out on my chest.

Lesson learned. We only stated for 5 hours. We both would have been a mess after 16!

Damn pump.  I got a cheapy hand pump to try out, and it worked powerfully the first two times and I got 3 ounces, then 5 ounces.  The last two times I've pumped?  3 ounces, then just now, 2 ounces (with both boobs).  I know my supply is not waning.  I can hand express a ton.  Stupid pump...
  • Also going to post this in the breastfeeding thread....but....at what point do you all stop waking to feed? Previously we were feeding every 2 hours, but I was told by the pediatrician I can stop waking my 2 week old to feed because his weight gain is good. Last night he slept for a 5 hour and a 4 hour stretch. I'm actually less concerned that he NEEDS to eat than I am that my boobs need to be drained...but then again I have a hearty supply and maybe my body needs to space these feedings out to regulate my supply a bit better. WWA41D? Let him sleep and feed on his cues, or go ahead and wake him to feed?

I actually think the Medela hand pump I got for less than $40 works better than the double electric Medela PISA I have. You might try that as a frugal option. It may take longer since you have to do one boob at a time, but it's pretty effective and cost efficient.

That's the hand pump I have.  It's totally given out on me.  I'm thinking it's just a lemon.
  • @smushi‌ - bummer! I am sorry yours crapped out. Maybe call for a replacement? I sure hope mine continues to work! I'll be calling Medela if it doesn't!

@rockstarlaw I may indeed do that.  My boobs are not the thing amiss here for sure ;)

The first week my LO would sleep too long ( some jaundice) I did wake her up every 3 at the most. Around two weeks she pretty much woke up at 3-4 hour intervals on her own. She's mostly continued that trend except when she's sick.

For the win!  I need to break out the Boba and play for LO :)
  • Me too @aviola329‌ :) This was one of my favorites from DS. I loved it so much I went and bought it in the next 2 sizes up, lol.
DD has gotten a couple really cute girly outfits with stuff on the butt. It's just so cute to see a sweet little owl or fish or monkey on their little butts.

I had an adorable newborn one with a monkey on the butt that I legit teared up when I had to put it away. I keep looking to see if I can find it again.
  • I just leaked through a padded/lined nursing bra, lined cami, and shirt, only an hour or two after LO ate on that side. WTF, left boob!!!! I never do that. I hope it doesn't become a common thing.

  • DD has a recheck for her recurring fevers tomorrow. Its been 2 months since she had all the tests run and she has had 2 episodes since then....I'm really not even sure what to expect from the appointment. During her most recent episode she had fevers just above 103, she was miserable. Typically they only get between 100-102.5
