Symptoms anyone?

Re: Symptoms anyone?

  • New symptom for me. A little trickle of pee with every sneeze or cough. Ugh!
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @redselig I pee myself when I sneeze also. Between that and the extra discharge, I'm wearing a panty liner every day now.

  • @juliebeannn I feel like I need a more absorbent pantry liner. *sigh*
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @redselig I actually use Poise which is meant for incontinence - I think they're a bit more absorbent than regular liners.

  • @redselig @juliebeannn FTM over here dealing with that loveliness too. At first I panicked that it might be amniotic fluid but I figured out what it is pretty quickly.

  • Alright... Looks like it's a thing then cuz I was just telling my husband I'll need to use them which means he'll have to buy them at some point, which goes against my promise to him before we got married... "I will never make you buy feminine pads for me" was before I knew pandemics and pregnancy don't mix.
  • Well I finally have a symptom.... my belly button is sooo itchy it's driving me insane. I've been putting coconut oil on it but it's not helping at all 😫

  • @princessjenney oh no I hope that gets better quickly. Itching is serious torture!

count me in for the increased discharge club. It’s not pretty over here 🙈

  • Reviving this thread to talk about hemorrhoids/anal fissures. I have been blessed with these lovelies since my first pregnancy. Thankfully, from about 4 weeks postpartum until the next pregnancy, they've been very mild. It has been recommended to me many times to try a sitz bath. I finally tried it last night because the pain is becoming unbearable. Unfortunately, it was the opposite of helpful. Sitting on the toilet for any amount of time is painful and the sitz bath has you sitting in the same painful position. I've searched the internet for 'can sitz baths worsen hemorrhoids' and came up with nothing. Has anyone else had this experience or have any good remedies for these things??
  • Drinking Metamucil regularly and Preparation H with aloe are the only 2 things that help me. 😑

  • I used these constantly for about 4 weeks postpartum. I would just lay them on a pad or just fold them in your cheeks lol.

  • Having occasional lower abdomen pain (about 3 inches below the belly button), sharp at times (but only a 3), that is somewhat relieved by going pee. No increase in peeing, but when I gotta go, I GOTTA GO. I feel like UTI but I know I won't test positive for one for a couple more days so my doc set up an appointment for Wednesday to test. Baby is moving around just fine and was fighting with the keyboard tray at my desk while I was on the phone with the doctor's office.

    Anyone else have this?
  • @kloe818 I get some bladder discomfort sometimes but I'm pretty sure it's just baby's positioning. Sometimes I'll feel like I have to pee right after just peeing and nothing actually comes out but if I change my position a few times eventually she moves and then the feeling subsides. That doesn't quite sound the same as what you are saying though... hopefully it's not a UTI!

  • @manillabar I hope it's just positioning. Started yesterday afternoon as we were talking down Christmas. Maybe she flipped headfirst?
Either way I cancelled my chiropractor appointment for tonight. I don't think I can lay on the table with this feeling.
  • @kloe818 - it’s possible it’s also just Braxton Hicks. I get mine around that area and can get the sharp pulling when there’s a round ligament pain pull at the same time. I’ve been getting BH what feels like anytime I do anything slightly strenuous (could include packing up from Christmas). It goes away or lessens when you stop moving, so could also correspond with it feeling better when you sit down to pee.
  • @finnflan all afternoon/evening yesterday and most of today. That seems like a lot? I hope it's that simple, I'll find out in a couple days. Felt some pressure too but that turned out to be unsupported belly because I wasn't wearing a belly band today. I put it on and the pressure went away.
  • @kloe818 it seems less likely to be BH if it’s continuous for that long. They should stop when you rest/drink water. Hopefully they sort you out soon!
  • Thanks @finnflan Tonight things are much better. I have been mildly dehydrated so that could be it.

  • Update: borderline UTI, going on meds anyway because there's traces of blood in the urine and we're pretty sure the culture test will show positive. Baby's doing great. Mama is miserable. Picking up meds after work.
  • @kloe818 Dang! Sorry to hear that.... sounds really uncomfortable. I hope the meds make you more comfortable quickly! I'm going pee constantly over here, too!

  • 33+2 and feeling so uncomfortable these last few days. I'm sure I've been having braxton hicks, but also when I'm standing the pressure is so bad at times it feels like baby boy might just fall out 😅 a good bit of cramping too off and on. I know he's head down so that might explain some of the pressure. I have an appointment coming up this week so we'll see how everything is going.

  • @firsttimemamabear9 that baby falling out feeling is way too familiar. Hence why I’m always lying down.

  • @firsttimemamabear9 I feel you.  The pressure is causing so much pain in my pelvic region and the baby definitely feels like he's going to fall right out.

  • I was wondering if any of you ladies are experiencing strong kicks? DS was like soccer player when I was pregnant with him, always kicking my right rib. This baby seems to roll and wriggle but not kick. So different...
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @redselig This baby seems to have transitioned more to stretching/rolling movements instead of kicks. I'm guessing they're running out of space at this stage?

  • @redselig at 34 weeks I get the occasional big kick. They used to be way bigger but I think he's running out of space now. With his older sister I hardly ever felt big kicks, but the placenta was in the front that time, which changed some of what I could feel.
  • Yeah baby girl is more of a roller now. And headbutts my cervix.
    princessjenney
  • @redselig I'm having the opposite situation here.  My first rolled and wriggled more but this one, man, his movements are so aggressive. With my first, I don't ever remember movements waking me up from a deep sleep but this one wakes me on the regularly.  I think now that he's getting bigger, his movements aren't so crazy bc he has less room....which I'm grateful for lol

  • Add me to the list of rollers. It is wild to watch this baby roll from one side to the other. And it feels like my organs are being moved when it happens.

I still get a strong kick every once in a while and it typically feels like a rib breaker. But it is mostly rollinf, smaller movements and some hiccups.
  • Oy the hiccups... It's like having an air popper with a few kernels in it going off. I usually pat the belly around where her bum is until they subside. Not that it helps, but it makes me feel like I'm helping lol.
  • I'm starting to leak pee apparently, mostly in my sleep lol. I've already been wearing pantiliners for discharge, but between that and pee I sometimes have to change my underwear during the day and I only have so many pairs left that fit comfortably 🤦‍♀️

  • Has anyone had numbness/tingling in the hands? My left hand has been like this since yesterday morning when I woke up. I didn't sleep on it or anything.
    nagrom9319
  • @firsttimemamabear9 yes, quite a bit. I had both my hands going numb and my midwife says it carpel tunnel during pregnancy. It actually went away within a day or so and I've only had it off and on a few other times. It's so uncomfortable! Hope it improves for you ❤️
    firsttimemamabear9
  • @juliebeannn DS’ movements were so aggressive in the womb! I vividly remember kicks to the rib that made me grimace. This baby seems so chill compared to the first!

@firsttimemamabear9 Yes, I’ve woken up a couple of times with numb and tingling hands. I can’t know for sure but I think I might be sleeping on my hands when it happens.

  • @redselig my babies are the opposite haha. My son was the chillest baby ever in utero. Hardly ever moved, super low heart rate- I was on weekly non stress tests because he was so low activity. He was born completely healthy and turned out to be the easiest baby. This one is CRAZY, the kicks hurt and they are alllllll the time. I’m nervous because my first baby was such a great newborn experience and I feel like this one won’t be 😂

  • Anyone else feel like they're sitting on baby's head? I sat on a floor while playing with DS last night and I swear, I can feel baby's head.  The pressure is REAL.
