It has been 29 days since we discovered our dryer wasn't turning again. We FINALLY fixed it today. Now I won't have to air dryer my underwear!

Ladies, DH found his old-school Nintendo at his parents' house and brought it home. Now he's trying to hook it up. I actually want this to work because I could totally go for a game of Super Mario Brothers right now!!

@kagesstarshroom you know, I heard it's actually BAD to blow into games. I forget the reasoning behind doing that, but that didn't stop us with our Sega Genesis games! We were big Sonic and Tails fans.

Anyone else remember the video game "Paperboy/Papergirl"?? I had it for Sega and I loved it.  The objective was to toss the newspapers in the mailbox, but you could also do mean things, like knock people into their pool or break windows.

@emeraldduchess I feel like I definitely heard of that game, but never played it. I was a big Mario 1-3 fan, esp. 3. Once, I beat it WITHOUT using warp whistles. #ClaimToFame

@inthewoods23 lol wut! but also.... I feel like of course it was bad for them. A lot of the things we would do in the 90s to get technology to work was probably bad for the technology. When my cordless phone would just "go out" aka I couldn't hear the person on the other end anymore, I would always bang it against the washing machine (I am sure I smacked it against other things, but I remember most smacking it against that lol.) HAD to be bad for both phone AND washing machine lol.

@emeraldduchess I loved Paperboy! We never had it, but a friend did and we would always play it over there.

@kagesstarshroom I have downloaded Mario 3 on my Wii years ago. I love that game. But I definitely can't beat it without the flute and even then, I still lose. I can save the games but after a certain amount of time, you're back to square 1. I need saved games!!

@shamrocandroll since June 1st is on Saturday we may as well start the weekly on the 3rd so you have a full week of June for the first weekly random. That's my 2 cents.

@rikiteacup Right?! We used to trip over the cord all the time and reset the game. I remember when we were kids, we would leave the console on and turn off the TV & we were SO CAREFUL not to ruin the game as to have to start over. I blame the wii controller for not being able to be as good as Mario 3 as I was when I was a kid, as I have it on my wii as well!

@kagesstarshroom my brother had the NES in his bedroom and I wasn't allowed to play with it...which I did when he was out with his friends  That also meant I could never invest some time in this game. My favorite was the slot machine. I was so good.

@rikiteacup lol the slot machine yesss. I feel like there was a period when I was really good at, like, getting the star every time? but then I was good no longer. My bro kept his sega to himself, but I didn't mind-- I played Sonic sometimes. the NES was both of ours, so it was in a public setting. BTW: MH really hates video games? All games, really. Sad.

So during my last cycle I complained that I had a bad batch of HPTs that were giving numerous evaps & false positives within the testing window. (I did get lab work done that proves these were for sure false positives.) I wrote to the company and they’re sending me free replacements! 100 free HPTs, y’all!!! I have no control with testing too early so this is AMAzing🤣

I'm so mad at the "this week's leaders" board because 1) there are no TTGP ladies on it right now! and 2) the person in the #1 spot according to her profile was last active on the 13th!! A whole week ago! How are they in the lead?

Why can I see someone's post history back until, say,  2015 but for other users that have only been on TB since 2018, I can't see anything? (yes I am trying to stalk the person breaking up the leaderboard that I don't recognize from TTGP)

DH went home early today and took a picture of the deck progress and I am just SO excited for it to be done! So glad we went with composite decking in the color we chose.

Yup, I think it's definitely the private group thing.  I was in one here back in 2016, and it's where the large majority of my activity on here was, and probably where a good amount of my points came from at that time.

my bff just had her baby this morning and I’m so excited! I’m really surprised at my reaction honestly, since I’ve been harboring so much resentment towards her since I found out she was pregnant (one try unicorn and started 10 months after us haha). Proud of myself- is that dumb?
