@inthewoods23, @b_1029 Yeah, this day is.... not fun. DH and I are super involved in church, and help out a lot of Sundays. So skipping is not something I ever really do. But today is the *worst* at church, making all the moms stand, big presentation about how special they are....blah blah blah. So I told DH a couple of weeks ago that i was going to be "sick" today. DH had to go bc of the aforementioned volunteer responsibilities.  But I'm about to go take my dog to a dog park instead, and spend the day doing tons of self care.

@brookert615 I def need to get some of that cereal, bc it sounds amazing! Fruity pebbles is my favorite cereal, so this is right up my alley. 

@NYTino24 really hoping you find it! I have a friend who lost her engagement ring outside of church. She never found it, moved away, and years later came back to visit. She found it in the grass at church, just laying there, years later!

Currently annoyed because a local coffee shop is giving away free coffee to moms today. Like how does one prove they’re a mom? Do they have to cart their child in with them? Do you get a mom card? Can I bring my dog?

This is such a hard holiday for so many people for so many reasons. I have an awful relationship with my mom so I dread mother’s day every year. I get people want to share happy news and pictures but my jealous side has a hard time not coming out today!

Awww you guys I just thought of a few years ago when we happen to be visiting my grandparents on mother's day weekend and we went to church and they were passing out fake fabric roses and my grandpa gave me one as a future mother 😭

I've been avoiding social media today like many others.  My mom left when I was 13 so I haven't been big on the holiday for the past 24 years or so. 

On an unrelated note I lost my wedding ring last night in the shower drain.  It's just a silicone ring that I was wearing because after losing 100+lbs my ring didn't fit anymore.  I ordered a new one off Amazon for a whole $12 but I feel so weird without it.  I've actually be thinking about just keeping with the simple black silicone one because it matches MHs and this way I don't have to stress if/when I lose it again.

You know you've been down in the dumps when your legs look like a man's and you finally shave for the first time in 2... maybe 3 months 😬😩

I legit don't think I've shaved since the time of going through the process of IUIs at the beginning of the year.

I am super mad whilst I am grading, if anyone cares to read a smol rant. 

Way too many of my students in this one class this semester do not deserve me. You're not supposed to complain about students, but oooboy did I have a batch this year that was... a lot. I still put in my all--despite all the everything that many of you know I went thru this semester--and I saved the worst class & worst batch of finals to grade last bc I was having trouble getting motivated to grade that class's work at all & they're so bad & it's so evident that they didn't care & it makes me SO MAD. I admit, I'm not really an "easy" professor, but I'm one you learn a lot from if you put in the work. Those were always my fave professors when I was in college. But in this one class, I got a load of complainers & no-work-putter-inners & students generally filled with self pity & excuses. I'm like. If yall even KNEW what I went thru, you'd shut up way fast--or more likely continue to be complete a-holes. Ooooo I'm so mad haha. I have three left to grade & grades are due tomorrow, so I am taking a break to make dinner bc I love cooking & I need to chill out bc I am raging.

@shoogapoff Church on this particular Sunday is the worst. I almost quit going all together a few years ago, bc they insisted on giving all the women a gift that said “mom” when I was pretty deep into the IF depression. It’s amazing how insensitive they can be without even realizing it.

@celticknotfire I really like the idea of spouse wedding rings that match. When we were wedding ring shopping, salespeople kept trying to have me buy a band to match my engagement ring. They looked at me like I was crazy when I explained that I wanted whatever dh got, but hopefully thinner. I’m happy I stuck to what I wanted. Dh came around to see how I was right too. 😂 Anyway, I hope your replacement arrives soon. You’ve probably checked, but could yours be stuck in the catch-all pan under the drain?

@begging4abump honestly my hair had been falling out because of all the hormones so I just gave up.  I wasn't super attached to the ring and MH is already on his second one.  His first one snapped at work, like it is made to do, so we are considering just having an extra always on hand.  Sounds like the store was trying to upsell you or make a sales goal!

@inthewoods23 there has been more than one occasion when I've only shaved because I had an US the next day!

@shamrocandroll Like, ten years ago, there was this big stomach bug going around & it was a big deal apparently! I remember seeing on the news that Hillary Clinton had it. So I never throw up I almost threw up but I ALMOST DID bc I got the stomach bug (though I thought it was bc of what I was eating) and I always used to tell this story about like the one time I almost threw up, "but then it was bc I had that stomach bug that Hillary Clinton had"..... & now I still say that, even though it's totally irrelevant and people are like wtf are you talking about. That's my stomach bug story. Sending you... wellness vibes? Is that a thing?

Why do people think it's ok to bring their children/babies to their RE appointment?!?!?  Today there was a women yelling at her 6/7 (?) year old daughter in the waiting room about how all she does is p*ss her off.  When this woman was called back for an appointment I almost yelled out loud why are you even here.  I wanted to pick up this little girl an run out the door with her!  It has happened on several occasions when people bring their babies to their appointments.  It drives me crazy!  I understand sometimes you can't find a babysitter but be understanding of those of us who are in the waiting room with you.

@kagesstarshroom MH and I got the norovirus at the same time as all the Olympic athletes last year. So, that sucked, but least we weren't competing for an Olympic medal!
