+1 for not knowing sh*t about fertility until TTC and doing my own research, finding this board, and TCOYF. I too was like, I better be on BC for as long as I don't want to get pregnant, because it can happen at any time. It's sad, really.
I listen to the birth hour podcast, *TW* and a woman from India was sharing her birth story. THE WOMAN WAS PREGNANT AND DIDN'T KNOW THE BABY COMES OUT OF YOUR VAGINA! Like @NYTino24 said, it's a cultural thing. She would ask the women in her family, and they basically brushed it off like, it just happens, it's okay. She thought it had something to do with her belly button until she researched it herself online. 
We have a long way to go understanding our own bodies, let alone getting men to know/care at all about women's reproductive systems.

do we need to make a poll about the randoms thread to change it from monthly to weekly so if we change, we can start in June?

ETA - do we even need a poll to change it? not sure what needs one and what doesn't

Side note, how is it already mid-May...

I don't know if we need a poll or not but it might be easier if it was weekly rather than monthly.  But that's my opinion!

@b_1029 @kagesstarshroom yeah it seems like weekly instead of monthly has gotten a positive response.... anyone who might object probably doesn't post in the randoms b/c if they did they would have seen it mentioned the other day! At least I don't think I saw objections?

Dunno if this GIF will work but here's my own little monkey and the stinky dishcloth she stole from the kitchen. *edited to fix the GIF, dunno why it was so tiny the first time I tried uploading it.

And throwing this in for good measure, both of my cats are obsessed with my fuzzy slippers too and I often find them in the closet spooning and/or licking one of them.

I also can never get over when my cat sleeps like she's dead with her head faceplanted down. And yes, this cat bed has hedgehogs wearing scarves on it!

And my personal favourite, bag licking. Why do cats lick plastic? She was in there for an hour.

@kiki047 My cat used to chew plastic bags.  I'd find them with little holes in them.  We also couldn't use ribbon on our Christmas gifts.  She would eat it, and then I would find her litter box "decorated" seasonally for me.  

You guys are making me miss having a kitty, but we are definitely retired from kitty ownership after all of the troubles we had with miss Alley Cat.  I miss her, though.

Sometimes I really miss having a pet but realistically I can’t commit the time to be a good pet owner so it’s for the best. I’ll just enjoy all the cute pics you guys share of your pets instead!

Deck update: this baby is almost 400sq ft! Still needs the stairs framed, but framing almost done nonetheless. Why did we get it so big?

@bows22 ehhh it was maybe 5:30 or so today which is also an overcast day. House faces north so the deck faces southeast. Perfect for sitting out in the mornings on weekends

TW for living child and loss mention 

My cousin had a late term loss a few years ago. Today she gave birth to a healthy, happy, beautiful baby. She was so so sweet when she told me and asked if she could send me a picture which I of course wanted. 
She went to the same fertility clinic and same dr as I have an appointment with an the end of June!

I don’t have really any of my cat doing weird things (except laying on our arms at the computer). My husband did get a tattoo of our cat. Our dog would do weird stuff, we no longer have him though. He is with a family that fits him more.
