Does anyone know why a PIO shot is very painful? My PIO shot almost killed me tonight. Idk why I hit a spot that hurt so bad burned and made me yell. Had to take out and put in another spot 10 minutes later I still feel sick from the pain. I’ve had a bleeder but never this. Why???
@greenhillgirl Ouch - that sounds painful. I'm sorry - I've never done PIO so can't advise
Quick question regarding spreadsheet - I got 2 requests for access from usernames I don't recognise which I find unusual. The sheet is still available to anyone with the link - yes? I'm inclined to ignore requests from anyone that isn't here (and hence doesn't have the link). Unless someone is lurking here and would like to join but can't get access - please just shout
Edit: Oh No!!!! I'm so silly - one of those people is our own @kristimh80! I didn't realise! So I've shared now - I'm not sure how the sharing/editing status was changed. If anyone else has trouble today please let me know

@ndz2018 Sorry to hear your transfer has been postponed. It must have been really tough especially at the last minute like that. Hopefully it won't be for long, glad to hear you have the day off to take care of yourself

@greenhillgirl Oh no! I'm so sorry!! The only time I had it be painful was when I was sticking it in the wrong spot / hit a vein or something. I noticed that if I have to push the needle in a little more than usual, then I need to take out and try another place for that reason. I was known to do that 3 times a week last night I hope you're feeling better!!
@roisis lol No worries! I thought maybe a new one had been made up perhaps? I was just checking to make sure I didn't miss anyone's transfer day this week

@kristimh80 Thank you! - it was early this morning when I spotted the request and I didn't consider different Goolge/Bump usernames!! How are you getting on? Did you schedule an ERA yet? I'm not very familiar with that procedure - can you do an FET in the same cycle - or do you use that to get the best timing and then do the FET the following cycle? Hope you're holding up ok

@roisis Awe thanks so checking in on me Waiting on AF to show, which should be in the next week or so then will start FET medications. They biopsy on the normal transfer day and will send off for testing. It usually takes around a week for results, but can tell you if you transfer day is correct or if need extra / less hours of progesterone for uterus to be receptive. So we will see! So I'd have to wait another cycle for real transfer again, but hopefully it'll give us some answers

New here to the entire community. I had to lurk because the forums make you wait a few days before actually posting.
TTC since 2014, first FET cycle currently with a transfer date of May 15. I've been on Estrace for a little over two weeks and just started PIO today. I'm also on Cabergoline at the moment because of high PRL levels.
I just started a new job, about 8 months in. I work retail. I requested my transfer day off. Today, I received a text asking if this date is moveable. I wish more people understood this isn't a typical "doctor appointment".
I hope to be a supportive member here and learn more about FET. Good vibes to everyone here no matter where you are on your journey.
Hi all, I'm new too. I've been lurking for awhile...I am 2dp5dt and the TWW is torture! I did a stim fet (menopur, ganirelix, HCG trigger) because my lining responds poorly to estrogen. Thinking about testing sometime next wk...my beta isn't until 13dp5dt.
@athena_park Welcome!! No, usually the date isn't movable but talk to your doctor. I remember mine said there was a couple day window for it if needed, but I didn't ask when they called with my date. I wouldn't let work stress you, most don't get it, but if you have a female boss...it maybe worth letting her on it on things. Mine has been amazing working around my schedules for IVF stuff. Lots of doctors want you to have down time on the day of transfer and the day after if possible.

Realized I should clarify @athena_park I meant "Not it's not movable" like giving attitude to your employer, not to you. Sorry you have to deal with that
@greenhillgirl OMG ALREADY???? FX DOLL!! Oh I so hope we start this month off on a happy note!!! Sorry to here about the PIO probs, is it just sore? The few days I did them my butt was def sore... the last one in particular I musta just hit it at the wrong angel bc OUCH!
@Orlaa Thank you so much It was def not an easy decision. I had to search deep down to get that answer and when we finally decided we both cried. The way I look at it and, thank you @kristimh80 for the reminder, that my little frozen family isn't going anywhere and will be ready when I'm ready. I'm looking for all the positives, most of them being able to drink and certain functions lol
@athena_park Welcome You're with a great group of girls here!
I'm not sure how to do the @ reply. I clicked reply but on mobile no name shows up but I definitely read your post the way you wrote it. No worries! FX on your beta!
@greenhillgirl To help with the PIO, the nurse at my RE office gave me a bunch of 1inch needles instead of the larger 1.5/2inch ones that usually are delivered with the meds. She said 1inch is totally fine unless you are super tall/very large frame. Maybe ask for some 1 inchers? I find it much more tolerable, I hardly feel it going in and I am no longer sore the next day.
@roisis the other request was from me. I think I have may have switched some settings and lost access to the spreadsheet. But I have no idea! Thanks for allowing me back in.
@athena_park welcome! Hopefully I’ll be transferring shortly after you too! Tww buddies.
@roisis I started Estrace on Tuesday. And now that you mention vivid dreams, that totally explains what I've been experiencing too! My next appointment is on the 15th, an U/S to check my lining.
@ndz2018 So sorry to hear that your transfer is being put on hold. I can only imagine what you're feeling. Hopefully your day off yesterday was good and restful.
@kristimh80 That's great you have a plan set out, although I know how frustrating the waiting can be. But it's such a great idea to get the best possible environment for your little one - hopefully this is the last piece of the puzzle you need
@athena_park & @sungirl39 Welcome!! You've found a lovely group of ladies! Feel free to give us an intro post and/or add your progress into our spreadsheet (link it at the top of my siggy!) @athena_park I agree that your doc should be able to move your app if it's necessary, but likewise if you can get your boss to be flexible that might be better. I can understand if you're only there 8 months you may not want to be open with him/her - you could say that you've been waiting for a specific medical appointment for a long time as this is the only time they can give you? Keep it all mysterious (oh - and if you type @ and start typing the name normally you get the option to select someone - else just copy it from another post!) @sungirl39 Oh you're in the TWW wait already - that is the hardest part! Try lots of little projects to keep yourself going - colouring books, jigsaws, bing-watching - or challenge yourself to read a huge book before you allow yourself to test. How are you feeling?
@greenhillgirl Beta wait - Eeeeek! Ok - how are you holding up today? I'm pretty sure you need to do something very distracting for the next few hours. Was it you who said you like the Sookie Stackhouse series? I challenge you to go pick your favourite and get lost in it (I love the one where Eric loses his memory - it's saucy )
@mrsyng *waves from Google* Sorry I almost didn't respond to your request!! I always seem to be able to get the same handle (roisis) for things I sign up to - I forget that our Bump names are not our permanent names!! How are you getting on - still having lining check today?
@ASabelko Oh my god these dreams are not letting up! Last night I had a very vivid one that included an old friend - male, always plutonic, who now lives around the corner with his beautiful wife and kids - and we went on this huge adventure and then he started kissing me and it was so weird - and I now remember it as if it happened! I cannot tell DH this!!!!
@SingleGeneMe Oooo - Happy Transfer Day!!!! Let us know how you get on

@athena_park welcome! I find it hard asking for time off for IVF appointments . My boss is basically a horrible person and almost seems to go out of her way to make her employees' lives difficult. My colleague took a day off this week to go to a funeral and she was told to bring a copy of the death cert as proof. With my IVF cycle I said I was going for a medical procedure but then I had my colleagues asking if everything was ok, was it serious etc so this time I just called in sick. There's no way she'd happy if she knew the truth. I've also only been working there for 8 months.
@sungirl39 welcome! The TWW is the worst, I hope you can find something to distract you.
AFM I tested with a frer this morning at 7dp5dt and I believe it's game over. I got a very very faint shadow of a squinter which I could only see in bright light. I know people tend to say "a line is a line" but I don't think it always applies to frer as I'll explain...
*TW CP mentioned* Last year I had a CP following my iui. I got a faint positive on a frer at 12dpo then 4 days later I tested again with a frer and had a barely-visable squinter. I had a blood test that same day and my hcg was at 2.
The squinter I had this morning was just like that, so I presume my hcg is somewhere around 2 and therefore negative for pregnancy. I realise there's still a tiny chance it could be on the way up, and I will test again on Sunday to be sure, however I think it's very unlikely. With my last transfer I had a visible BFP at this stage.

@Orlaa I hate when people say a line is a line. I’ve had 3 c/ps, and each time I got a line that was very light but never got darker. I’m so sorry that you feel disappointed, but I do still hope that you are pregnant!

@orlaa 7dp5dpt is still very early, so I'm hoping for you that you're lines get darker! I know some girls don't get much of anything until 10 days after. But I understand the CP experience and how that can make it all more frustrating for you. Praying your beta will be a nice surprise

@Orlaa I'm sorry - I know that must be so disappointing - but please don't despair yet. I'm no expert but I don't think that you would necessarily get a positive from a hpt at 7dpt - that's still very early. As you say - last time you only got a faint positive at 12dpt - that's closer to twice as long past transfer as you are now (and that was still faint). Here's hoping that line turns up over the weekend. I'm not one for raising false hopes - but I certainly wouldn't say game over for you yet
Up until now I believed I would have to rely on HPTs for my results as my clinic didn't do Betas - so basically you test (they recommend from 12dpt) and ring them if you get a positive and if by 16dpt you don't call them, they call you with next steps. I actually found out now that since January this year they do take you in to test bloods. I'm not sure of the details yet but I'm glad I won't be purely relying on the home tests.

@roisis I feel ok...I've had bloating, cramping and pulling...but I had an HCG trigger (stim FET) so I've been feeling these symptoms since before the transfer. Other than that, the days are just creeping by at a snails pace.
@Orlaa Hang in there doll!! Sending you lots of creepy internet hugs. You're not out of the game just yet, I know its hard but hang on to that little bit of hope.
afm, had my lining check appt this morning and we are set! Lining was around 8 something and had 1 mature follicle so RE had the nurse trigger me prior to leaving. We are set for 5/18 transfer with 2 embabies! My beta will be pushed back a few days instead on 5/26 & 5/28 it will be 5/28 & 5/30 since my hubs and I planned a weekend getaway with our dog. We won’t find out the results of both until 5/30. So excited and nervous!! Eek
I'm sorry Orlaa that is frustrating and disappointing. I know what you mean about a line being a line being an annoying thing. Since we are all testing and getting tested so early, of course it is more likely to have a CP and know about it (as opposed to those innocent ladies not ttc who just get a late period and don't know) and of course with your history you're going to be more cautious. I
I will say that mine I took was just what you're describing. Super light and hard to see. It's just I had never seen a line in 3 years and then it got strong for beta. Sending you hugs and hope it gets darker
hi ladies, sorry for the delay. have had a two day retreat at work so i've been following but haven't had time to reply.
welcome to the new ladies, @athena_park & @sungirl39! Looking forward to following your updates.. .can't believe on of you is already in the TWW!
congrats on a strong beta, @greenhillgirl. so exciting that you can start connecting with your little girl. here's to a healthy and uneventful 9 months!
@SingleGeneMe - you're transfer snuck up on me!! how did it go? did they give you pics of your embaby? how are you feeling?
@orlaa - i totally understand your cp fears. i sure hope it's just low HCG right now and that it's building day by day. with your mc/cp history, it's gotta be day by day. there's still some sliver of hope that you can hold on to through the weekend.
afm, had second lining check and was cleared at 9.1 lining. start PIO today and still on for FET next wednesday. mental state: i'm simultaneously excited and in my head about it working vs. not working. five more days.
@athena_girl -- i add a row with your name to our spreadsheet and filled it what i could from your earlier post... you can access the sheet from here and finish updating so we can follow your journey.
@northbeach3 Hooray for a great lining check!!! Hope you get to have a nice relaxing weekend pre-transfer!
DH and I were going to have an "us weekend" and avoid the holiday craziness. Of course, I've started getting a slight sore throat and my body aches like I just had a hard workout at the gym. Since it's my "off cycle" until AF next week, I've been pretending I'm a normal woman with a chance, so of course making myself crazy for not reason. lol
Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
Hugs to anyone that needs them going into this weekend.

Thanks everyone for your words of support, you ladies are the best. By tomorrow I should know one way or the other. To be honest I'm feeling ok, the disappointment of a BFN is nothing compared to the pain of MC. I also told my SO if this FET doesn't work, instead of going straight to another round of IVF we're going to wait a few months so that we can go on a proper holiday in August. We've spent the past three years avoiding booking any long haul flights in case I might get pregnant so I'm happy to have something to look forward to.
@greenhillgirl Congratulations on your beta results! So happy for you
@mrsyng that's great that you have your transfer date set. Enjoy your weekend away.
@northbeach3 I hope the next few days pass quickly for you. Although of course it's nothing compared to the dreaded TWW
@roisis that's crazy that you had to rely completely on HPTs. Did they not even test betas after a positive HPT?
I'm 34, SO 39 TTC since July 2015 Unexplained infertility - delayed/weak ovulation but don't know why BFP Feb 2016 MC at 6.5 weeks Started Clomid November 2016 BFP March 2017 (third cycle on Clomid) HCG failed to rise, MC at 6 weeks. @orlaa No they didn't do any tests at all. So last year when I actually did get a bfp I rang and they just set up an u/s for 7 weeks. They rang me once or twice in between to see how I was - but that was it! I wasn't really on the boards at that time (was lurking a little) and I didn't know anyone going through this - so I didn't even realise it was odd!! How are you today? Did you test again or are you leaving it until after the weekend?
@northbeach3 Great - I'm delighted the extra few days worked for your lining! Just a little longer now
@kristimh80 Enjoy your relaxing weekend (hope your sore throat goes away)
Afm - I'm stuck with a bit of an extended family weekend. It's DH's nieces first communion today so we're going out to his sister's for a bbq** (and everyone on that side has little ones...) and it's also his mum's bday so we're taking her out for lunch tomorrow. None of these are bad things, but I can really feel the oestrogen kicking in now and I'd much prefer to roll up into a ball and watch telly for the weekend!! (** Eeeeeek - I literally just remembered I have a pavlova in the oven - thankfully I typed that out or I would have completely forgotten!!!)

@roisis wow that's a busy weekend you're having! I know how you feel about wanting to just stay at home, with all the hormones not to mention having your head completely filled with FET related stuff. I hope the bbq went well at least and that the Irish weather didn't let you down.
So I confirmed the BFN this morning. Today's was stark white, no shadow lines and therefore no doubts. For the first time in 3 years I feel like I'm ready to take a break from it all. After each loss and failed treatment I've always been rushing on to the next step, not wanting to be delayed any more than necessary. My thinking was if I wait 3 months that's 3 months longer before I get my THB. But now I'm going to tell the doctor I'd like to do the next round in September.
Good luck to all of you with your upcoming FETs, I'll be checking in to see how you get on.

@Orlaa I'm so sorry...those stark white tests are the worst. I'm all for taking a break, if this FET fails I'm taking at least six months off, maybe longer. You haven't had your beta yet though, have you? Give it a few more days!
@Orlaa Sending lots of love your way!!! I completely understand your thinking and what you are going thru right now. It is still early in your testing, so I won't lose hope for you! But if you need to take some time off, definitely do so. I had to make myself do it last Summer...my heart couldn't take it anymore. Honestly, it was the best decision because when we re-started treatments, I was clear-headed and more hopeful. For now, hang in there...miracles do happen

I'm 44 years old and start ttc at age 39. I wanted a child for much longer but this the way like turned out. I found out quickly that my egg supply and quality were borderline low. After 3 IUIs, a myomectomy, 3 ERs, a hysteroscopy, a canceled FET cycle (this took about 2 years ), I finally had a FET. It worked and I became pregnant with my son. Other than a scare during week 9 (really bad bleeding he was born by a planned c-section.
It was really hard in the beginning (harder than I expected) from (self diagnosed) post partum anxiety and severe lack of sleep . I don't think I was ever depressed but my my mind was going a bit crazy from lack of sleep
Things got much better after a few months and now I'm getting ready to transfer #2. Although I had to do another saline sonogram, this time around has been easier since I know what I'm doing now. My FET is May 17. GL to everyone. I will try to follow this thread. I just wanted to go through this with some others who have there's around the same time.
@Orlaa I'm so sorry. Taking a break sounds like a good idea, and summer time is the best time to do it. I took all of last spring/summer off from IVF (although I was TTC naturally), and I had a such a fun, relaxing time. I really felt like I was my true self again without the stress of IVF.
AFM, I had my transfer on Friday afternoon. I took both prescribed Vicodins and I was pretty floaty. i asked the nurse to measure my lining and she said it was 10mm - my husband said the screen actually showed a measurement of 10.9mm, so that's much thicker than it's ever been before! We got a picture of our embryo, and it was partially hatched. The embryology camera wasn't working so we couldn't see the embryo live before it was inserted, but since this is my fourth transfer, I didn't even care. Afterwards I ate a big lunch, watched a movie and then passed out for 4 hours! So far, I haven't felt any signs of anything happening inside of me.

@orlaa I'm so sorry. You definitely deserve a break at this point - and the summer is a lovely time to take some time. I think sometimes we automatically go from treatment to treatment and it's just so hard on us physically and mentally. It sounds like you have a plan which is great. Go have a holiday and enjoy life for a few months, treatments will be here waiting for you in the autumn. Take care
@SingleGeneMe Congrats on the transfer!! Sounds like you had a great lining for little embabie to snuggle in to. Any distracting TWW projects in mind?
@LynnNJ Welcome Best of luck in your transfer this week - and feel free to add your progress into the spreadsheet (link in my siggy)
Thanks for the comfort advice for my weekend @kristimh80, @Orlaa - actually the bbq wasn't too bad. There was one pregnant girl there, who I avoided - even it that did seem a little rude - but I was able to hang out with my SIL's friends who do have kids but they're all a bit older and so the conversation didn't revolve around them. I don't know about ye, but personally, while I find it difficult to be around babies and/or pregnant women - anyone over the age of 3 I think is great craic And the sun shone - which is an Irish miracle

Then I wanted to kick myself because she was probably the nicest person I saw all day. But this weekend when out to dinner with DH's uncle & their friends. They announced their DIL was pregnant with a little girl...so had to quickly walk away and have a drink!

Re: May 2018 - FET
Quick question regarding spreadsheet - I got 2 requests for access from usernames I don't recognise which I find unusual. The sheet is still available to anyone with the link - yes? I'm inclined to ignore requests from anyone that isn't here (and hence doesn't have the link). Unless someone is lurking here and would like to join but can't get access - please just shout
Edit: Oh No!!!! I'm so silly - one of those people is our own @kristimh80! I didn't realise! So I've shared now - I'm not sure how the sharing/editing status was changed. If anyone else has trouble today please let me know

Had beta blood drawn this morning. Just waiting now....

@athena_park welcome! Hopefully I’ll be transferring shortly after you too! Tww buddies.
@sungirl39 welcome! Fx you get your BFP!
@greenhillgirl any news yet from your beta test? We’ll be waiting! Fx.
@ndz2018 So sorry to hear that your transfer is being put on hold. I can only imagine what you're feeling. Hopefully your day off yesterday was good and restful.
@athena_park & @sungirl39 Welcome!
@greenhillgirl FX your beta went well!
@athena_park & @sungirl39 Welcome!! You've found a lovely group of ladies! Feel free to give us an intro post and/or add your progress into our spreadsheet (link it at the top of my siggy!)
@athena_park I agree that your doc should be able to move your app if it's necessary, but likewise if you can get your boss to be flexible that might be better. I can understand if you're only there 8 months you may not want to be open with him/her - you could say that you've been waiting for a specific medical appointment for a long time as this is the only time they can give you? Keep it all mysterious
@sungirl39 Oh you're in the TWW wait already - that is the hardest part!
I challenge you to go pick your favourite and get lost in it (I love the one where Eric loses his memory - it's saucy

@greenhillgirl Best of luck today!

@Orlaa so sorry about the hpt but you’re not officially out until beta. Sending you some hugs..
@roisis *waves back*
afm, had my lining check appt this morning and we are set! Eek
I will say that mine I took was just what you're describing. Super light and hard to see. It's just I had never seen a line in 3 years and then it got strong for beta. Sending you hugs and hope it gets darker
welcome to the new ladies, @athena_park & @sungirl39!
@orlaa - i totally understand your cp fears. i sure hope it's just low HCG right now and that it's building day by day. with your mc/cp history, it's gotta be day by day. there's still some sliver of hope that you can hold on to through the weekend.
waves to the other end of may ladies holding it down - @roisis @kristimh80 @ASabelko!
afm, had second lining check and was cleared at 9.1 lining. start PIO today and still on for FET next wednesday. mental state: i'm simultaneously excited and in my head about it working vs. not working. five more days.
hope y'all have a relaxing weekend ladies!

Afm - I'm stuck with a bit of an extended family weekend. It's DH's nieces first communion today so we're going out to his sister's for a bbq** (and everyone on that side has little ones...) and it's also his mum's bday so we're taking her out for lunch tomorrow. None of these are bad things, but I can really feel the oestrogen kicking in now and I'd much prefer to roll up into a ball and watch telly for the weekend!!

@SingleGeneMe Congrats on the transfer!! Sounds like you had a great lining for little embabie to snuggle in to. Any distracting TWW projects in mind?
@LynnNJ Welcome
I don't know about ye, but personally, while I find it difficult to be around babies and/or pregnant women - anyone over the age of 3 I think is great craic
Lots more transfers this week - Yay!! @athena_park @northbeach3 @mrsyng - how are ye all feeling?
