@greenhillgirl LOL @ your mom! That sounds like something my mom would say. Have fun at the spa today!! I think cramps sound like a good thing! I never got them with PIO, so got my FX for you

Ugh I got so motion sick on the bus I puked in a trash can on Fifth Avenue. Then I was okay for a few hours then I got super nauseous right as I finished brunch. I’m pretty sure it’s wayyy to early for that to be a pregnancy thing. I also have really bad cramps even when I take Tylenol. Some of them are worse than PMS type cramps. Could something be wrong with me or just extreme PIO side effects?
@ndz2018 I'm so sorry that DH was being a jerk, I hope things are better today? That is really tough, with your friend's dad's funeral and the impending transfer - not to mention all the hormones you are on - you couldn't be feeling normal at the moment. I hope he has come around by now? As others have said, getting through this treatment puts such a strain on every relationship so try not to worry. As you say, you don't normally fight, which is great, it's very hard to get through this full treatment without things getting on top of you. I hope you are doing ok today? Transfer tomorrow - so exciting
@northbeach3 Glad the meds kicked in!! You gotta be feeling in tip-top shape before this transfer!
@greenhillgirl Ooooooooo!! That sounds nasty all right but I really hope there is a very happy reason for you feeling unwell! I know you don't want to get excited too early, take it easy for the next few days. Are certain foods making you nauseous - or do you normally get motion sickness?
@ASabelko How are you getting on? Are you still suffering from headaches? Can I ask - was your CD1 still on 6/5 as per the spreadsheet? If so we are cycle buddies
AFM - Aunty Flo finally arrived! I was going out of my mind, so I got an acupuncture session on Saturday afternoon and she kicked in on Saturday night. So I reckon yesterday (Sunday) to be CD1 and I'll start taking my oestrogen this evening. I still don't have an appointment until CD12 so I'm pretty much just left to my own devices now. I'm taking the same dosage as the last time. One thing I noticed is that last time they did my transfer on CD18. If they happen to do it on the same day this time it will be on DH's 40th birthday! I'd really love that

@ndz2018 I hope you sorted things out with your DH, the added stress is the last thing you need in the middle of all this.
AFM I have my first beta next Tuesday but I'm going to POAS at the weekend as realistically I won't be able to resist. I didn't do a trigger so I don't have to worry about it causing false positives. I feel completely normal, still very early of course.
I'm 34, SO 39 TTC since July 2015 Unexplained infertility - delayed/weak ovulation but don't know why BFP Feb 2016 MC at 6.5 weeks Started Clomid November 2016 BFP March 2017 (third cycle on Clomid) HCG failed to rise, MC at 6 weeks. Thanks, all. I think its just a huge surge of hormones from the PIO or Estrogen. I can remember this happening before, although I can't remember when. It's like all of the sudden every single classic pregnancy symptom hits me way too early as one of those level reaches a certain threshold. I don't usually get motion sickness unless I have an empty stomach but all of these symptoms just hit at once yesterday so I know its too much to be real this early. Nausea, sore boobs, insomnia, increased sense of smell, back pain- like all within a few hours of each other. Was it before my retrieval or during an IUI cycle? I've been fooled too many times! I'm trying to remember that doesn't necessarily mean I'm NOT pregnant either. It's just neutral. The one that seems positive is my consistent cramps that I have never had before during TWW and didn't have last transfer. Sigh.
roisis I'm glad you finally got your period. Waiting can truly take forever.
Orlaa What day will you POAS? I'm tempted to this cycle, tbh.
What else is happening this Monday? Please distract me from my own insanity, ladies. 6dp6dt and 3 days from beta.
@greenhillgirl didn’t realize it was only 6dpt. I think I had my first beta around then last time and was at 20 wish may not register on some HPT. By 10dpt, I had severe migraine and low back pain. Definitely diff symptoms then when I had faker pg symptoms with all past cycles. The hormones def can be the culprit but still hoping it’s a interaction with building hcg.
@roisis wahoo! Yay for af finally rearing her ugly head! My clinic is pretty hands off for Fet. Looks like my transfer date isn’t until Cd21! Which seems way late. But first lining check tomorrow... so looking forward to update, but not PIO!
But youre in the same boat, right @ndz2018? I forget If your cycle was natural or medicated. How are you feeling for tomorrow? Hopefully in better place with DH.
@singlegeneme your due for a checkup soon, right? How’re things?
@greenhillgirl I think I'll try a frer on Saturday which will be 8dpt. If it's negative I'd like to have the weekend to feel sad about it. I know that if it's positive there's still a chance of a CP but it'll be the same if I have a positive beta - I'll always have that worry that the numbers could drop.

@greenhillgirl It's impossible not to wonder about symptoms. Kudos to you for not testing! That's so great to have your beta on a Friday....I always have mine on a Monday for some reason, and then it's such a downer to go back to work for 4 more days after a negative result. Friday is also a great day to celebrate a positive result!
@orlaa I always cave by 7dp5dt and test, even though each of my transfers has ended in a c/p. I love analyzing an HPT line. I wish that I could just hold out for my beta!
@northbeach3 I don't have any more checkups before my transfer on Friday. I'm already dreading the stress of the 2ww. I've started my PIO shots, which aren't fun at all. I'm already getting heartburn from the progesterone.

@kristimh80 did I see in another thread that your clinic also does medicated FET transfers on CD21? I think my clinic runs the same duration. I guess that’s normal then? I was worried it was late.

My update:
I did cave and tested this morning with a FRER at 7dp6dt and I got my BFP!!! It's faint but definitely there. We're about to come up on three years of trying next month, so I am super excited and shocked. I've never turned a test. I have cramps, fogginess, and some mild nausea still. I'll wait now til my Thursday beta and hope to have it confirmed. Since I've never been pregnant or had a mc (thank the Goddess) and they are PGS tested, I feel like our odds of it staying are pretty good. It's a girl!
@greenhillgirl Congrats!!!! I've been lurking and saw your post about being sick when out with your mom. About a week after my transfer I felt super sick for about 12 hours - severe nausea, bowels grumbling, felt chilled and had a really low grade fever, and really bad uterine cramping that shot down my legs - and then it all disappeared as fast as it came on (well, the cramping was still on and off). The next day I got my BFP. So, maybe there was something to you feeling sick the other day! FX for great betas!

@greenhillgirl oh happy day! So glad you caved!! )) way to kick the May board off. Let’s hope it kicks off a domino effect of BFPs. Fx for rising betas and uneventful PG! First BFP, relish in it! ❤️❤️❤️
**lurking** @northbeach3 Ugh.. I transferred at around 8 (which is thinish but doable)...so it really doesn't have to be suuuper thick for it to work... was it trilaminar? That's really what important.
well, he said it was decent, but didn't express super confidence... he didn't mention the trilaminar properties, but i thought i could see a feather pattern... but i'm no u/s tech. haha
trying to remind myself that the delay is okay since i'm on a medicated cycle. was just excited to get the show on the road, but guess i'll have a few more days without the dreaded PIO.
@ndz2018 Happy Transfer day! FX and all the baby dust to you!
@roisis Yes! We are cycle buddies Headaches have normalized, I'm now thinking it was more barometric pressure changes that were causing them or maybe I've adjusted to the Lupron. Did you start estrogen already?
@ndz2018 Happy transfer day! I hope it's an exciting AND relaxing day for you
@northbeach3 I didn't do anything different and my lining went from 6.5mm to 8.4mm in 1 extra week of the same protocol. My doctor said that some people just take longer to react to the estrogen. And the delay IS okay, because it's a medicated cycle.
@tosh24 Oh, glad you checked in on this board. So happy to hear you had a successful transfer last month!

I'm sorry northbeach3 that is annoying but like dragonette505 said you can def still have success. Mine was just over 8 and my first cycle it took longer to get that thick that I'd hoped. This time I tried taking L-arginine with my estrogen for a few days around when I added the PIO and that may have helped mine get thicker this time- not sure. But be careful obvs since it is a supplement. It made me feel hot and funny.
Orlaa I did wake up DH this morning yelling and waving the stick. He wasn't that impressed. He jumped up thinking something awful had happened then said yay, hugged and kissed me, rolled over and went back to sleep. He wants a baby probably even more than I do so when he woke up later he was more in to it. I wasn't phased since he works nights and was groggy- I proceeded to stick my stomach in his face before I left for work and try to make him kiss it. Then he giggled. I think it will take us both some time to feel it is real.
@northbeach3 Sorry you didn't get the lining result you were hoping for - but it's probably only a minor set-back. Here's hoping the acupuncture and a couple of extra days give you the lovely cozy lining your little one needs
@ASabelko Yay!! I go in for a check next thursday 17th - nothing else before then. And yes I started my estrogen on Day 2 - how about you? I'm taking them before bed - have had reeeeeallly weird dreams the last 2 nights. Has anyone else found that? They are extremely vivid, quite dramatic - borderline scary and more than a tad 'naughty'!! Maybe I should stop reading these vampire books before bed

Aww you Guys!! I really appreciate your kind words. Sadly we had to put our FET on hold for a bit for many reasons. I would like to thank all of you for your love and support. This was one of the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make and was NOT taken lightly. I am sad and feeling a little bit defeated at the moment but I believe that there is some greater plan for my tiny lil embryo and he’ll be coming home when he is meant to. Know I appreciate Each and every one of you, and will be here to support and cheer you all on... infertility gets a big F U this week. Going to regroup, talk to the Dr and get a plan moving forward. Again mad love for this group and all my bump IF sisters out there! You all amaze me with your strengths and courage on a daily basis and NO MATTER what stands in your way You FIGHT... that is what makes you rise above it all!
@ndz2018 Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. That must be so disheartening As you say though, there is a greater plan going on and you need to be in the best possible situation to bring your little embryo home. Best of luck in making a new plan with your Dr. You've had a long road with this ivf cycle. This IF battle just keeps kicking us down but as you say we are going to keep getting up and keep fighting. Keep your heart up - we are all here for you (pm me if you'd like to chat)

Sending you tons of hugs & love!!
I'm so sorry ndz2018 that must be so difficult since you got so close. But if you are not in the best place physically and mentally (and you've had so much going on lately, too) it can be a good thing to wait. I'm sure you're disappointed and disheartened but it sounds like you're comfortable with your decision. Feel free to stay on and chat with us if you like about anything and everything. Just because you aren't doing the FET right now doesn't mean we can't be supportive!
Shit. I'm so sorry @ndz2018. I'm sure you're feeling so many emotions right now. Just know that your little embaby WILL come home when the time is right. You've had so much going on lately and I know how much delays suck, but you are super strong and you got this. I hope you and your doctor are able to come up with a plan that works for you and you're able to move forward again when you feel ready. Thinking of you

AFM, thanks everyone for the reassurance about the delay being ok on a medicated cycle. Fortunately our semester just ended so my schedule is much more flexible next week and the change will now allow me to attend one more event where I can have a glass of wine. Haha trying to maintain patience
Thanks! northbeach3 I told my mom right after I told DH and he said it was ok cause she's know about our struggles for about a year. I sent her a pic. She was like, "oh honey, I hope for your sake the doctor says you are pregnant" and apparently she thought I just thought I could be pregnant. Lol like imagine if I'd text her every time I thought I could be pregnant in the last 3 years of trying!?! Then we realized she didn't know home pregnancy tests were reliable and don't often (ever?) give false positives. She said in the 1970's they didn't have that. I mean I do realize *TW*
a chemical or miscarriage is possible but like please don't bet on it mom thanks. #communication. Sigh. Now I'm extra nervous about beta tomorrow.
Thank you so much for the bottom of my heart! I have million emotions going on and I’m sure the drop in hormones for stopping meds is not helping those emotions. Took off again today just to kinda be, take some me time.
@greenhillgirl FX for your beta tomorrow!!! Sometimes our parents can be a little naive when it comes treatment.
@ndz2018 I'm so sorry that your transfer got cancelled. It's so important to feel like you have an optimal womb to put that embryo in, so I hope you can do one soon. I love that you took another day off. I am getting better at taking days off during the IVF process for emotional sick days. It's important!
@greenhillgirl Excited for your beta tomorrow! My mom isn't alive, but I refuse to tell my dad anything about my IVF process anymore. He had some very negative reactions in the beginning, and it's too emotional of a time to not hear exactly what you want to hear!

ndz2018 Glad you took time off. Be kind to yourself during this withdrawal from hormones. I find the stopping them suddenly can cause me more physical and emotional side effects than starting them. As I've mentioned on other posts, from IUI that triggered my chemical depression. I realize most people don't deal with that, but do take care of yourself and keep an eye out for your feelings.

@roisis Yay for CD1! So happy for you, I know you've had a long wait, you must be delighted
I feel completely normal, still very early of course.

roisis I'm glad you finally got your period. Waiting can truly take forever.
Orlaa What day will you POAS? I'm tempted to this cycle, tbh.
What else is happening this Monday? Please distract me from my own insanity, ladies. 6dp6dt and 3 days from beta.

I know that if it's positive there's still a chance of a CP but it'll be the same if I have a positive beta - I'll always have that worry that the numbers could drop.

I'm already getting heartburn from the progesterone.

northbeach3 progress- Exciting to start the PIO todayExciting to start the PIO today

@northbeach3 Ugh.. I transferred at around 8 (which is thinish but doable)...so it really doesn't have to be suuuper thick for it to work... was it trilaminar? That's really what important.
trying to remind myself that the delay is okay since i'm on a medicated cycle. was just excited to get the show on the road, but guess i'll have a few more days without the dreaded PIO.

AFM - baseline E2 yesterday was good so I started Estrace today. Feeling pretty good, except the AF cramps.

ASabelko congrats on starting work!

@greenhillgirl FX for your beta tomorrow!!! Sometimes our parents can be a little naive when it comes treatment.
@greenhillgirl Excited for your beta tomorrow! My mom isn't alive, but I refuse to tell my dad anything about my IVF process anymore. He had some very negative reactions in the beginning, and it's too emotional of a time to not hear exactly what you want to hear!
