ack @sungirl39!  that is the worst... honestly, better to let them just do the other arm immediately than try to find the vein in the same arm. *TW* a new nurse did my IV when I had my D&C and i knew she EFFd it up.  When i was on the table, the anesthesiologist hooked me up and then a big fluid bubble started developing under my skin.  i was in so much pain on top of having to undergo a D&C... i said please use my other arm and fortunately he was quick to do the iv.  *end TW* that sucked.

@mrsyng i totally bought a puzzle from barnes & noble on the morning of my transfer.  it was a good evening distraction after i took a nap.  i'm sure you can find one at target or walmart.  in fact, i may need to get one more for tonight!

@northbeach3 Ouch!! I can't even imagine that on top of everything you had to endure. When they were hooking me up for my retrieval, the nurse didn't see a vein my my arm so used my hand. Before I knew it, blood gushed out and I started thinking wondering what in the world have I gotten myself into? You'd think things like that in those stages wouldn't happen.  :s

Well, I'm officially out...HCG went down to 23.5.  No surprises there.  The nurse said I should stay on my meds and retest next wk...ummm NO THANKS.  I just emailed my RE, that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

I'm definitely going to take a few months off, enjoy the summer.  Maybe try again in the Fall.  GL everyone! I'll check back to see how everyone else is doing! I have no doubt that there will be some positive tests coming this month!

@sungirl39 I’m so sorry!! Take all the time you need and enjoy your summer! Sending you lots of hugs!

@northbeach3 I’ll look finding some at Walmart/target. They’re so relaxing! I can spend all day doing them or at least until my neck and back says no! Lol

@sungirl39 I'm sorry. I hope you have a wonderful summer off from IVF!

@northbeach3 Good luck at your beta tomorrow!

AFM, my hcg level was only 29, so I'm preparing for another chemical pregnancy. I think after this, I am going to demand an ERA (it's never been suggested by my RE) or switch clinics.

@sungirl39 i'm sorry... you were at 25 a couple of days ago, right? IF is a cruel, cruel bitch!!! looks like you still have plenty of embryos to work with, so taking the summer off sounds like a good reprieve. enjoy it!

@singlegeneme you're 10dpt, right? yeah, i guess 29 seems low for 10dpt even if you had late implantation.  i use this website to estimate possible implantation/hcg doubling.  i couldn't figure out the necessary details of your cycle to input but maybe you can try inputting your stuff to see when implantation may have occurred.  https://whenmybaby.com/implantation-doubling-calculator.php

another website i used was https://www.betabase.info/ for comparisons of HCG levels.

but i know all of this is to hope to try and find silver lining.  i pray pray pray that you're still doubling.

we've already had three possible cp's this month.  just when i was finding some optimism, reality's setting in. :\

well, i'll try to take my own advice.  day by day.

@sungirl39 I'm so very sorry. I hope your summer off for treatments is just what you need! See did that last year and it was the best decision as it allowed us to clear our heads and felt 100% better going back into treatments after.

@SingleGeneMe Really sorry you're feeling that way...I really hope you're wrong and your miracle does happen! I'm on meds for my ERA now...I really wish they did them before everything...nothing else, it's a peace of mind.

@northbeach3 Try to keep up your positive happy thoughts!! As you know, these boards can be all over the place and vary so much! Best of luck to you tomorrow!!

@sungirl39 I'm so sorry you got that result. I agree that taking the summer off is a good idea, we can get far too stressed doing treatments back to back. It's so important to take care of your mental state and be confident and happy going in to new treatments. Enjoy some down time and take care of yourself <3<3
@SingleGeneMe I'm sorry it's not looking great at the moment, but I really hope you're still in this month. We can keep hoping and praying for a few more days <3

@athena_park How are you girl?? Are you having Beta this week?
@mrsyng Jigsaws are King! (also colouring books - and you can pick them up anywhere!!) but a marathon Netflix binge is pretty distracting too. GL.

Thanks everyone for the calming words after my little meltdown yesterday! It really is so comforting to know other people understand. I was explaining to DH that I had a lump in my throat constantly just wanting to cry but I knew I had no reason to cry - he at least pretended to understand!! I'm taking today and tomorrow at home, as stressful as work can be, I am lucky in that no-one really cares if I work from home. So I'm going to do what I can and go out for a little walk if I feel stressed. I think I also feel a bit guilty as I just want the next 2 weeks to be over asap - but DH is soooo looking forward to his birthday. We're having a big house-party on Saturday night - I really encouraged him to have one, he has been so down since his father passed away so I was delighted when he said we would. He started planning ~3 months ago. I did NOT realise I'd be 2dpt at that time!!!

So call me crazy but DH is feeding my craze for hpt. We went to Walmart last night for other things and a jigsaw puzzle and this happened...

Do you think I have enough until beta?   lol. He said he doesn’t want to know unless it’s a real positive later.

So of course, I craved and tested this morning. But it’s still way too early but there was the slightly line on the cheapie which didn’t show until way after the 1 minute. Fx!

I'm so sorry @sungirl39 and @SingleGeneMe ! Sending you hugs.

Thanks for the interest, SingleGeneMe and northbeach3 :) TW:

I had my first ultrasound 6 days ago and will be 6 weeks this Thursday. I've def been having some of the usual symptoms but doing well overall. Apparently, they keep me coming back for blood tests and ultrasound every Thursday at monitoring hours until the 8th or 9th week. Then they send me to my OBGYN. I haven't been too active on the January 2019 bmb . A lot of the ladies are like 25 and tried for a month or two before they got pregnant. And I'm the only one who knows the sex, of course. Miss you guys <3

Wishing everyone success on their next cycle if they're out or success on this one and lots of positivity!

    @mrsyng LOL!!! That's awesome!!

@greenhillgirl So glad things are going well with you!! I've heard the BMB can be overwhelming, but a lot of girls have good luck over on the PAIF boards...so you should see some familiar faces there. I think when the time comes, I'll go there... nice to be around being that "get it" and not 20 and tried for 3 months  ;)

    @mrsyng you’re 4dpt right? Post pics!!!

@greenhillgirl  man I am jealous of all your your monitoring! Glad to hear things are going well. I wonder if he ladies on this IF board would be okay with adding a PAIF thread. I’d love to follow all the recent BFP ladies in one place. I totally know how you feel about the BMB boards. They are too much and don’t identify with most of the women on it. The lone PAIF threads weren’t very active.

@roisis what do you do for your job? Glad you have the flexibility to work from home. And that’s exciting that your DH was willing to have a party. I love entertaining even thought it can be stressful to be the hostess with the mostess. Haha.

Afm, blood drawn. But my car also died just outside the clinic so waiting for my dad to bring me oil. Forgot to add it when the light came on yesterday. Sigh. Have meetings today so may have to give them heads up that I’ll need to excuse myself if I get a call. The nurse said the RE doesn’t usually leave info on VM and it could be until the end of the day.  -_-  I vacillate btw feeling def pregnant to... Its all psychosomatic and I’m making myself crazy.

afm, have been at work so haven't had too much time to feel too much... but while i had morning symptoms, i think they've all but subsided.  i'm trying to mentally prepare for a c/p.  how do i do that? check my june calendar to see when the next FET might fall... hoping i can get one in before i leave for vacation on jun 29th.

@northbeach3 I've no experience with Betas so I'm not sure what to say - but I definitely agree with everyone else that it is really early. Really hoping for a stark rise in that number tomorrow <3<3
Also - I work as a researcher and Uni (post-doc) so unless I'm lecturing - which thankfully I'm not this semester - and I don't have meetings I can sometimes keep my own hours. I emailed my boss yesterday to say I was having a transfer on Thursday and he said I should stay at home for the week - so here I am!

@greenhillgirl So lovely to hear from you :) That is a lot of monitoring! Good to know they're keeping an eye on you <3

@mrsyng  It certainly looks like there's something there!!! Yay :)

Afm, well my DH turns the big 40 today! He's at work for the moment so I'm trying to make a bit of a fuss for him when he comes in - bought a tiny bottle of champagne, wrapping lots of little gag gifts, I'm going to attempt to ice a bun (have big cake ordered for saturday) and gonna grab him a helium balloon :) I know I basically made him have a party and I am making a fuss - but honestly, I'm really more concerned about transfer tomorrow, but I feel a little selfish when I think like that. @roisis Awww Happy Birthday to your DH!! And not for nothing but it’s ok to be selfish!! You’ve been waiting such a long time for tomorrow PLUS youre having a party for him this weekend so technically you don’t really need to do anything today except say Happy Birthday  ;)

@northbeach3 Ugh I can see how you’d be uneasy with that beta, IF can suck a big fat one!!  I’m REALLY hoping you’re not out.

@greenhillgirl HOLY CRAP 6 weeks already?!? Where has the time gone!

@mrsyng Super early BUT I see A squinted!!

@SingleGeneMe Hopefully if it is a CP you’re numbers went down.. would you be able to go right back into a FET next cycle ?

Thanks @ndz2018 - I guess it's actually a great distraction for me today to be fussing over him  How are you getting on? I see you're planning to continue in July - hope you're keeping well <3

@roisis Hanging in there! After talking to my H and my dr and the social worker at the clinic we took this cycle off and are going to have some "us" time and focus on that right now. Once I get my next AF( June12th-ish) I'll begin yet another prep for FET... i'm guessing July 3rd but who knows. I'm excited for you for tomorrow! I've got everything crossed for you doll!!!

    Thinking of you today @singlegeneme

@roisis very cool! What type of research? Thought you might be in academia when you mentioned writing a discussion section. :) I’m faculty in psych and am in the midst of getting a paper ready for submission too. Working on addressing reviewers comments for resubmission. Ugh.

ETA: good luck with your transfer today @roisis! And HB to your DH. Enjoy your night

@northbeach3 Good luck at your beta tomorrow!

Thank you for the nice wishes, everyone. My HCG today was 19, so I'm definitely having a chemical pregnancy. DH and I are pretty gutted over it being the 4th failed transfer. Because I did a medicated cycle, I have to sit out a cycle to reset my body from all the hormones. I want to meet with my RE and talk about doing an ERA. I may even want to do another egg retrieval, since I only have 2 embryos left. I think it might be quite a while before I do another transfer. I will definitely be checking in to see how the rest of you are getting along!

@SingleGeneMe I’m devastated for you. This board can’t catch a break. I didn’t realize it was recommended to take a break btw medicated cycles. I was mentally preparing to be able to go right into my next cycle. -_- guess we’ll see what the RE says.

Afm, tested yesterday afternoon with pink wondfo and FRER. Got home at same time today and tested again.

Looked up sensitivities and and saw this on a forum:

First Response Early Result – 12.5 mIU/ml (some sources say 6.5 mIU/ml – Livestrong is one of them)

    First Response Digital – 25 mIU/ml

    Clearblue Plus – 20 mIU/ml

    Clearblue Digital – 25 mIU/ml

    E.P.T. Pregnancy Test – 25 mIU/ml

    Wondfo HPT Strips (blue) – 20 mIU/ml

    Wondfo HPT Strips (pink) – 25 mIU/ml

    Comparison of HPT:

There are squinter/evap lines on wondfos but can’t really tell darkening. The FRER may be darker but could the day 6 line could have faded? I have zero symptoms now so I’ve really convinced myself that this isn’t it. Have I said how much of a mindfuck IF is?!?!?

@SingleGeneMe  I'm so very sorry you're going thru this! I hope the next couple of weeks go by fast, so you can get thru it and figure out a good game plan for the future. Keep in touch...My ERA is the 1st week of June and I'll be happy to tell you how it goes, thoughts, etc once done.  ((hugs))

@northbeach3 Day 7 is def a lot darker!!! I trust FRER 100% more over wondfos. Thanks for the break down of test brands. I feel like I can always count on you for getting facts!

@roisis Happy Transfer Day Eve! I double checked to make sure I had the right day this time! lol

Anyone else getting bad bloating on estrogen this month? I looked in the mirror today and it's like a cruel joke to be this bloated with no good reason.  :s So ended up buying extra things at the store tonight praying something will help.

@SingleGeneMe I'm so so sorry. I'm actually thinking about doing a fresh cycle too since I have to do the stim meds anyway. My lining doesn't respond to synthetic estrogen, is that why you did stims too?  I figure I might as well try to get some nice embies out of it (my snow babies are 8 yrs old).

    @northbeach3 Looking good! :)

AFM, I took my last PIO shot on Sunday...still no period.  Does anyone know how long it takes after a CP to get your period?

Oops, now im the one that jumped the gun! Happy transfer eve, @roisis!!

@sungirl39 I’m not sure. Do you know if all he hcg is out of your system? Did you test out with HPT or get checked via blood to be sure you’re down to zero? Feel like that’s a key component too.

@northbeach3 Beta is on Fri. @mrsyng I'm not planning to poas stick before that.@ndz2018 I'm there as well. Once I find out the results, either way,do I just share or do I put it under a spoiler? I'm not sure how to do that.
  • Options
@sungirl39 tried the google and couldn’t find any official pages; just forum posts. Most said within 1-2 weeks. One woman who was on PIO said it started six days later.

@LynnNJ my fingers are crossed for you for Friday. To do a spoiler, choose the icon that looks like a paragraph symbol (the one next to the italics icon). The spoiler option is the last one in the list. It’ll create a grey text box that you type the things you want to hide in it. Anything in the white sections will be visible outside of the spoiler box.

@sungirl39  With my CP, AF came 5 days after my last PIO shot.  And <<<spoiler alert>>> it fa-reaking sucked.

<div class=" Spoiler">Woke me up in the middle of the night with cramps in a cold sweat, like I don't know if I ever had such a bad period in my life, or since my teens or twenties, maybe.</div>
That was just my experience, and hopefully you will be lucky enough to have AF come and go smoothly, so you can move onto your next cycle with some measure of peace. (((Hugs)))

@BusinessWife Ugh, not looking forward to it..thanks for the heads up.  At least now I won't freak out if that happens.  Today I have a headache..so thinking it might be soon.

@northbeach3 Ah, thank you, looks like I have at least a few more days to go.  I do have to get one more blood test...RE said I could do it whenever I was up for it, either later this week or early next week.  Wish I could just skip it.

@LynnNJ I think we said early on it was ok to post without spoiler but it does like like most people have used it since it’s the preference of the entire IF board.
