Woke up with cramps this morning, though I've been pretty much having them every day since transfer. Good sign? Bad sign? No sign? Sometimes it feels like AF and sometimes more like tugging. Who knows, everything I read online is contradicting. Today is 7dp5dt for me and I am SO tempted to test. I said I wasn't going to but I still have 9 days til beta which seems excessive. I did get an HCG booster right after my ER so I wonder if that's still in play and it would be too early? I'm not sure how many units it was but as of today it is 12 days since receiving it.

Anyone give anything up since your transfer, other than the obvious things like alcohol? I stopped drinking soda cold turkey and am missing it so badly. I didn't drink a lot to begin with, but I drank diet and I know it's SO bad for you. I'm not a coffee drinker so a soda here and there would give me a little boost lol. Anyone else give up a vice?

@natalie4oscar I found it pretty easy to keep distracted up until about 5dpt when I started to get all sorts of "symptoms." I'm trying to attribute them to the PIO shots though instead of getting my hopes up. Key word "trying" lol. Today we're putting all of our outdoor Christmas lights up (not turning them on yet!) so trying to keep my DH from getting frustrated and quitting halfway through will be my distraction for the day :-P

    Me: 30 DH:30

DH: Diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in 12/15 resulting in right orchiectomy &one round of BEP chemo. Banked sperm prior to treatment. Not enough in storage to risk on IUI so encouraged to go right to IVF w/ICSI.
    Together since 2001. Married 10/2013
10/24/16 - Began stims (menopur & gonal f) for 1st round of IVF on high responder antagonist protocol.
    11/5/16 - Lupron trigger.
    11/7/16 - 13 eggs retrieved; 8 mature; 5 fertilized
    11/12/16 - 5 day ET of 1 hatching embryo
    Beta scheduled for 11/28!

    11/21 BFP!

    Due July 31

  • @Adoc86 I would love to be pregnant with triplets!! My OH not so much.  I had assisted hatching done as well and keep praying for some cramps.  I'm just not sure. AND yes the pressing on the belly was terrible, I couldn't even enjoy the magic on the screen.  Having to wait the 15 after it was all done was the real torture for sure!!  Funny u mention the soda, I drink coffee and diet and have tried to give up both.  Now I only do decaf, and try no diet.  BUT yesterday I did go to get some and reminded myself nope!  Wish not eating chocolate was that easy ;) U sound like a bfp is coming ur way, ur signs certainly sound like it, I hope so!!!! Have fun putting up the lights, I think it's nice weather today for it!! I think the trigger should be out by now, keep us posted :)

@natalie4oscar I'm trying to relax but I have so much work to get done.  I feel like everyone else is still on bed rest but ER didn't tell me that.  Ugh I hope it's ok that I'll be moving around today and traveling around in a car....can a bumpy car ride really aggravate things.  they say don't lift 10lbs my pocket book weighs more then that  :s how r u holding up? OH and besides have to tinkle like a waterfall, I also started getting a terrible tummy ache, probably from nerves, but what a time to start kicking in.  Trying to stay still was just impossible at that moment  :s

@julianne86 hoping we all have some sticky beans in here!! I've never gotten a pos on a stick before either, my opk were difficult enough.  A part of me is tempted just so I could see it ;). How are the rest of the quad transfers doing? @IfYouCanDreamIt @ljsmith805 I can't say I feel any different, hoping I do soon!! I normally don't wish for. Ramping but knowing a fertilized egg is finally aboard just want it to sticky.  Hoping all buns r sticking :) my beta first one ever 11/29!! Hoping my body cooperates!!

@Colleen0516 praying so hard this should be my time.  My beta is 11/29 it's exciting as I've never made it to one of those either, here's hoping!!

@dragonette505 it really was an experience I would not like to repeat.  I really drank to much water and too much wait time in between, and my stomach starting cramping for number 2, TMI, I think all the nervous must've been getting to me. Do u get another update on ur embabies?

@Isthisthereallife thank u!! Praying hard it's my time!! How r u holding up?

@kangastein thanks so much!! It's been a rough journey just to get my 3, so thrilling they all kept up! Pray they continue the fight!!!

  • @Adoc86 decorating for Xmas is a great distraction and keeping hubby foccused :)

@hopefulmom I hear you with the pocketbook, mine weighs about the same. If your doc didn't say bedrest, I'm sure all will be fine, all REs are different and keeping busy (while not over doing it) will be a good distraction

IVF#1 Sep 2016 (4 eggs retrieved, 2 matured, 0 transferred due to DNA breakdown)
IVF#2 Nov 2016:  Estrogen &  Ganirelix.   Stimming: Loprun, Follistim, Menopur. (7 eggs retrieved. 3 matured. 0 transferred due to PGD results)

IVF#3 Feb 2017: Estrogen priming. Menopur, Follistim and HGH

  • @Colleen0516 and @kp214  Thank you!!!

@natalie4oscar I did my IVF in Houston (where mine and my husband's family is from) so this weekend we'll be taking the two days to drive back. Monday and Tuesday I'll still be on couch rest so I've downloaded some books. Wed we're heading to Denver and staying there overnight before flying out to Vegas for 4 days (Thanksgiving Break). And that's where my plans stop. lol. Monday the hubs will be back at work and my beta isn't until Thursday 12/1. I think I'll try to plan a girls night dinner and just hang with friends until then. :)

@Adoc86 that is,long time until beta. I see alot people getting their betas at 10days, I have to wait the full two weeks, but I'm going to try to hold out and not POAS.It's only day 1 for me, so we'll see how strong my resolve is later ;)  As for a vice I'm giving up, I'm ***trying*** to give up caffeine . I'm not addicted to coffee, like I was when I was a nurse, but I do enjoy a cup now and then. I am addicted to sweet tea, so I guess I'm just have to buy decaf and make my own.
What a great idea about decorating for Christmas. I think that's what I'l ldo when we get back from Vegas!

@Hopeful_mom  doing well this morning just chilling in bed and waiting for the hubby to wale up so he can get us breakfast :) no cramping, just minor twinges really.

    November 18, 2016: FET- transferring 2.... BFP!!!  beta 1= 2619
  • Wow so much great news on transfer on here! Congrats to everyone and hope you are able to have as little stress as possible during the TWW!

While I'm going to keep cheering everyone on and can't wait to see the BFPs, I am wondering if someone will take over managing the tracker? I think I need to try to step away a little and not think about IF all the time. I am still having trouble sleeping and waking up and not being able to stop thinking about everything. Hopefully things will start getting better soon (they usually do), but its probably best for me to take a little break from IF.

Well I tested....BFP!! I can hardly believe it! I am being cautiously optimistic hoping that this can't be left over from the HCG booster.

I was going strong not testing today and really hadn't planned on doing it. I woke up from a nap and my DH had gone out. When I realized he went to Target without me I got so angry! I seriously almost cried. It was completely ridiculous and irrational and at that moment I knew I had to test. I am rarely this moody even during AF. Of course, the HPT was in a bag in his car which pissed me off even more lol. When he got home he was blindsided by my rage, poor guy. I got a pretty strong second line - I feel like if this was residual from the booster that by now (12 days later) it would almost be gone and only be a squinter on the test, yeah? I am really fxing that this is legit.

Hopeful_mom I’ve not been on bed rest either, my ER just told me to take it easy and try to relax. I’ve been out to meet friends, on dog walks and baking. So eager to feel something different this time but so far only had headaches.

  • Adoc86 Wow, that's amazing news, congrats!!! So happy for you! It's 12 days YES trigger has to be out!!! How many did u transfer again? And when did u start feeling different??

@IfYouCanDreamIt it sounds like u had a lovely day, I over did it and pray I didn't ruin it.  Usually I'll stand on my feet working 12hrs.  I was standing for over an hr but really tried to take it easier.  Drove around in the car for a while looking for a house which wasn't worth the drive but happy to b off my feet.  My legs r really bothering me.  I'm like u and just wish I would feel something, getting concerned that I'm not.

@julieann86 I love love love Vegas, I can never take it easy there, good luck and enjoy!! R u feeling any different??

@ljsmith805 how has ur weekend been going, how r u?

@dragonette505 congrats!! Fx more frosties make it for u!!

@jamieh2000 you deserve a break and time for yourself to heal for sure!! Hope u are doing just that!!! Sending u hugs!!

  • Thanks, ladies!

I took another test today and it was a little darker so I'm feeling better about the result being accurate. My nurse still said to wait until 11/28 for beta, ugh! They're closed thurs & fri and jam packed mon-wed so :-/

@Hopeful_mom only transferred one. My RE won't transfer more than one at my age unless there have already been failed IF treatments in the past. Plus only one of my embies even made it to transfer day so it wouldn't have mattered. I started having light cramps the night of ET then mild cramps on and off since then, along with some other random symptoms here &there. I've read so many accounts where people had the same symptoms and got a BFN and others had no symptoms at all and got BFP so I wouldn't put a lot of stock into it. The PIO brings on pregnancy-like symptoms too so who knows, maybe the cramps are from that. I wasn't put on bedrest after ET either. They just told me no exercise for 3 days and no high impact activity (like running) for a week. I don't think you have to worry about just spending time on your feet, your three should still be pretty cozy :)

@dragonette505 any updates on the rest of your little ones? I hope you get a good report if you get an update today!

@Colleen0516 that's how I feel! I would literally be in and out. They do have monitoring hours, but they still require an appointment during that time. Even when I've gone in for only bloodwork in the past they had me make an appt for a 3 minute visit. Although I found it odd I guess I just figured that was normal for these places? My clinic schedules betas for 13dp5dt and my nurse seemed hesitant to move it up. I don't understand why it would be a big deal to do it a few days early if I'm already testing positive.

@dragonette505 a week from tomorrow, so I've got a little while to go. I think 4 on ice is great! How many will you transfer?

  • @Adoc86 congrats! <3 h and h 9months  @JamieH2000 sometimes you just have to take a break. I know we will get there. @Kp214 I really am unsure. They said I could do one or two based on my age, but the probability of having twins goes up but not the probability of implanting. How many are you doing?
  • @dragonette505 4 is great!  Happy for you!

@JamieH2000 we can update it ourselves. Don't feel like you have to. Take all the time you need. We are here for you.

@kwolf002 DH and I just talked about that today. If we have any that are normal, DH wants to transfer just one. I'm ok with two. I guess, for me, it would depend on the grade of any that are normal.

  • So much to catch up on! I'll have to spend some time tonight :) Congrats @Adoc86!!!! Fx for Beta, I think it is looking good!!!

AFM- needing this groups thoughts/advice. I have been feeling great since transfer, actually went back to work last night and had a pretty easy shift. My lab called today to update me on the 3 embryos that we didn't transfer, and were hoping to freeze. None made it past day 4:(. I was disappointed for sure, but also INCREDIBLY relieved we went for the day 3 transfer! And I am really trying not to over-react/panic and trying to stay as positive as I have been feeling since transfer. But naturally the fact that none of the other three made it has me feeling a bit freaked out. Dying to know if the two that we transferred are still growing.  So of course I couldn't go back to sleep, so I had to call in sick to work again tonight because I am terrified to stress my body at all. I try to keep reminding myself it only takes one, and we transferred the best one and one similar to the others. We have done everything we can, but I just feel so uneasy now compared to before.  This next 8 days is going to be much more nerve racking now. Also all of our results make me wonder if egg quality has been our problem all along. Doing my very best to stay positive and not let the negative bring me down. Thanks for listening !
  • @ljsmith805 keep those positive thoughts flowing. I'm sorry that you weren't able to freeze the others, but have faith that the strongest are in their best environment right now growing and getting stronger by the day. Are you doing acupuncture or meditation to help with anxiety?

AFM I'm finally ready for a retrieval, It's been a long stim process, but I have 8 follicles at a mature level (23, 23, 19, 10, 10, 18, 19, 10). So tonight is the trigger shot and ER on Wednesday. I am so ready for this, I'm tired and the Lupron has me seriously loopy, Im eager to get to the next stage and am doing all I can to stay positive.

Wishing all the ladies on here well wishes.

IVF#1 Sep 2016 (4 eggs retrieved, 2 matured, 0 transferred due to DNA breakdown)

@natalie4oscar that's a great number of follies! Fingers crossed for 8 mature and fertilized!
  • @ljsmith805 thanks! I know it's hard, but try not to stress. We had five fertilized embryos, four of which looked perfect on day 2 and still only ended up with one. The others all just stopped growing. When I showed up to ET and was told we only had one I was really discouraged. My mind jumped to all sorts of conclusions. But it really does only take one and there is nothing to say that the two you transferred aren't strong & healthy.

I asked my embryologist if only having 1/5 make it indicated that there was a problem and he said that it wouldn't concern him unless it repeatedly occurred during multiple rounds. Maybe he was just trying to reassure me, but he said he didn't consider it a red flag and that it's often just a fluke.

  • Yet again this group is sooo critical to me in this process! I knew you ladies would have something to say that made me feel better and boosted my confidence. I truly don't know what I would do without you all! THANK YOU! Thank you for helping me keep positive and reminding me that my fears are just fears and not founded in fact! This journey is so painful at times, and it is hard not to put up your armor at the slightest anticipation of bad news. Your words help so much! Hugs!!
  • @ljsmith805 glad ur feeling better! I understand how hard it is and how easily we get discouraged. I can't say I feel any different which worries me already but we need to think positive.  AND remember that some eggs thrive in our uterus rather then outside so ur two lil buns I'm sure r doing great!!! That's what I try to keep reminding myself of as well!!

Initially, I'm thinking about transferring one of the day 5s, and then if needed, transfer the other Day 5 with the Day 6 together.

I'm so glad we get to continue our journey. : )

  • ljsmith805 I can so relate to your feelings, this group is great I had no idea how big difference it makes to chat with people that know what you are going through! As for your worries about the ones who didn't make it to freeze, I understand how disappointed you must have felt hearing the news but remember those you transferred were stars and in their most natural environment they have the best chances to thrive and become your sticky buns for the next 9 months. Thinking of you x internet hugs and only positive thoughts!!

natalie4oscar great number of follicles, congrats and good luck to your ER on Wednesday!!

Isthisthereallife YAY for starting! How are you feeling?

Hopeful_mom YAY YAY YAY for keeping positive! May those sticky buns be getting cosy in the oven, fingers Xd.

AFM I've been anxiously waiting to feel anything that could indicate implantation but the only unusual I've had are headaches from the progesterone and chapped lips now for two days.
I received a referral to an endocrinologist regarding the swelling on my thyroid gland, but the earliest appointment I could get is in January! Honestly felt this cycle's been full of unpleasant surprises but still hoping something good could come out of it... I've been to acupuncture and done some guided meditations that help me to relax. Going on date night with DH tonight.

@ifyoucandreamit I'm still feeling the same as you, anxiously awaiting to feel something.  My tummy at times does feel a lil sour, but maybe that's all in my head or cause I'm constipated (TMI ;)  but I'd love a lil twinge or tugging that everyone always talks about!!  Enjoy date night!!  I have so much work to get done I'll be happy if I can just rest on turkey day :)

  • @Hopeful_mom website is definitely off today. I tried to log on earlier and it said it was under maintenance, then once I did there are things missing. Also I'm with you, hoping my BFP is coming soon! It's getting so hard to wait
  • Ive been on Lupron for the last week and a half had my baseline ultrasound and bloodwork today. Everything came back on schedule so I start Gonal F on friday. Nervous for this round and praying it works. Last round we got 5 eggs, 2 not mature, 2 fertilized. Hoping we get more eggs this round, thanks to pcos i grew plenty of cysts hoping its different round 2.
  • Yay @tiffavis12! Fx this is your cycle!!!

Here's a little journal session for anyone who is interested ;) ...

I was thinking a lot tonight on our drive to family, and I realized something I don't think I was really aware of fully. I am always so nervous every time testing day comes. Because over the many months I have learned to expect that the answer is no. Even when I up the ante, still no. But what I wasn't really aware of, is in that time I have also "learned" that I cannot trust my body. It has failed me time and time again. And I realized that tonight. I do not trust my body. I used to. It's like I feel it's sabotaging me month after month. They say the embabies do better in their natural environment, and I realized tonight, I have been worried that somehow putting them back in my body will mess things up. Yes I realize they'd have to go back at some point, but remember I don't trust my body. Then I got to thinking...How in the hell am I going to carry a child let alone 2, if I don't trust that my body can do this? So that has become my new focus to distract myself. Rebuilding trust in my body. Reviving the faith in my body...
  • @ljsmith805 what a great journal entry. It's true, as a woman you learn all of the sounds of your body and due to experience we know what that means. When we go through infertility issues, it throws that out the window. All that trust over the years slowly fades away. We hope, we pray, we beg and plead but the trust is missing. It will return, but it needs to a conscious decision to reconnect the body, the heart (and heartbreak) with the mind.
you will learn to trust again.

@tiffavis12 good luck with this cycle. How are you finding Lupron, or as my acupuncturist calls it Loopy Lupron?

    @kangastein good luck stemming

@IfYouCanDreamIt hang in there, try to stay distracted (easily said than done, Im sure)

@LeFemmeViolette congrats on the great news, when is your transfer schedule for? Are you basting a turkey and embryos ☺️

@Isthisthereallife good luck as you start your process fx
