DH and I are so happy. It was about this time a year ago that one of my furbabies, who was like my little soulmate, had a heart attack right in front of me and passed away. She was young and it was very unexpected. Then the very next day DH was diagnosed with cancer. I can't help but be reminded of these things lately since it all happened right in the midst of the holidays. Obviously it's still super early, but I'm so thankful we have something positive to focus on now.
Me: 30 DH:30 No kids yet DH: Diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in 12/15 resulting in right orchiectomy &one round of BEP chemo. Banked sperm prior to treatment. Not enough in storage to risk on IUI so encouraged to go right to IVF w/ICSI. Together since 2001. Married 10/2013 10/24/16 - Began stims (menopur & gonal f) for 1st round of IVF on high responder antagonist protocol. 11/5/16 - Lupron trigger. 11/7/16 - 13 eggs retrieved; 8 mature; 5 fertilized 11/12/16 - 5 day ET of 1 hatching embryo Beta scheduled for 11/28!

Good morning ladies Question....I woke up this AM with a small amount of spotting, nothing crazy, but still. Is that normal/ok? At the office now for my Beta praying hard with fx!
I broke down and peed on a stick super early this morning (like snuck out bed with hubby sleeping and did it). We had agreed to just wait for beta on Thursday, but I couldn't stand it any longer. I finally have a BFP, my first ever. I'm so incredibly happy. Praying hard for a good first beta on Thursday
Hopeful_mom Yep! My first scan showed an AFC of 36! I had a follie check this mornign but wont know results until later. Thank you so much! How you holding up?? I've been thinking of you!!

Had another scan this morning, left ovary finally responding and it looks like I have about 12 follicles on one side and 5 on the other. Largest 17 and the rest 11 or so. Just a few more days of stims I think! good luck to all those today going in for their betas, let us know one way or the other!
afm, we received the CCS report this morning, 3/6 are normal! All three are boys. DH wanted a girl but is still happy. I'll admit I wanted a girl, too, only for the reason that I know about girls, their clothes, hair, attitudes, etc. however, I'm excited about a boy! A whole new world of toys and clothes!

****TW***** WOW I don't think I've ever had to write those 2 letters before - but i got the call and i finally have my BFP. I can't believe i get to write those words, still feels like i'm dreaming to be honest. I took a stick test right before and saw the faintest of lines so I was terrified even more! Ive never even seen a faint anything so i was getting excited. My Beta is at 286 and i go back thursday for my second beta. PRAYING HARD it doubles, would love for it to triple to maybe indicate i have more then one bean. I know i'm getting greedy, but a girl can dream

@ljsmith805 I just got back from the doctor! I have a total of 26 follies total ranging between 15-20mm, and then another 8 that are below 10mm. My E2 from Sunday was 2018. I'm currently waiting on them to call me back with bloodwork, to see if i trigger tonight or tomorrow. Originally I was going to take Ovidrel, but now they want me to take Lupron and HCG. They said the Lupron was to prevent hyperstimulation, but I'm just scared that I'm not going to have enough mature follicles. But it looks like ER is either Thursday or Friday!

AFM Yesterday my lower back was really sore and I had little nose bleeding that I hoped could be symptoms but today I’ve been feeling that AF is coming . Still haven’t tested and my beta is tomorrow. DH and I are praying to finally have our first + and the same time feeling devastated that this may all end tomorrow which would mean another benched period while taking care of my goiter. My appointment with endocrinologist is only in the end of January.

not likely twins... follow up level on Thursday morning. Level today was 110.9. They said spotting was common but I need to do "pelvic rest" for 4-5 days after it stops. Feeling so relieved and thankful!!

@IfYouCanDreamIt the most prominent symptoms I felt were my back being sore and like AF was coming. I actually feel like AF is coming every single day lately, so not necessarily a bad sign! Fx for you!

@kp214- thanks, you are so sweet for thinking of me. I won't lie, the last two weeks have been hard. I have had 2/3 of my consults and so far both REs say to try once more (since we have coverage left), but if that doesn't work, then its probably time to look into other options. Its hard to hear, but also what I was thinking they would say. I have been so fortunate to have some insurance (though I have still paid almost $10k this year with no results ), but once the insurance is gone, I'm not sure it makes sense to keep trying with my eggs out of pocket, when the cost will be huge OOP if we have to do donor. I have had some good conversations with DH and we are getting on the same page about next steps if we have to go there. Its definitely a grieving process, but trying to keep faith that however this works out, its all part of the master plan. However, the results of you (and other ladies) on this forum have given me some hope to not give up yet. Next cycle we will likely do EPP with antagonist, which seems to be the magic ticket for a lot of ladies on here. How did your monitoring appointment go today?!

And I’m out! Beta came fast back with BFN. It’s just not getting easier! Luckily I have a day off and can stay home sobbing by myself until DH comes home. He is having hard time to concentrate at work and is probably coming home early.
I want to thank all of you for the great support you’ve given me, this cycle was the first one for me not feeling so alone with IF. While I mourn for our loss I am so glad to see the BFP’s and great updates so many of you have had this month, it helps to keep my hopes up that eventually I will also experience it.

@JamieH2000 this cycle was our last one before coverage ran out. We may still have to pay some OOP, but we are so glad that we have some coverage. It's so hard to hear the other options speech. We were told that back in March. Glad DH and you are getting on the same page, but I really hope and pray that that you are successful with the EPP with antagonist protocol.

@kp214- I really hope this may be our magic protocol like it was for you! Just curious- I believe you did lower doses of stims this time. was that your idea or your REs? Both REs have so far told me they would max out my stims even more than before... but part of me wonders if high doses isn't making it worse. I have kind of asked that to each.. but it seems like they don't think that's likely. I'm going to ask again at my last opinion tomorrow.

Had first follicle scan today for round 2 of IVF. I have been on Gonal-F 300 for 5 days now and Lupron since before period lowered dose with the gonal f. The ultrasound tech only attempted to measure 3 follicles the rest are still to small the arent worth measuring. I go back on Friday for another scan. They have my estimated ER for 12/7 but I have a feeling its going to get pushed back unless we get some major growth by monday. Hoping for less cysts and more follicles with eggs this go round.

Re: October/November IVF
DH and I are so happy. It was about this time a year ago that one of my furbabies, who was like my little soulmate, had a heart attack right in front of me and passed away. She was young and it was very unexpected. Then the very next day DH was diagnosed with cancer. I can't help but be reminded of these things lately since it all happened right in the midst of the holidays. Obviously it's still super early, but I'm so thankful we have something positive to focus on now.

WOW I don't think I've ever had to write those 2 letters before - but i got the call and i finally have my BFP. I can't believe i get to write those words, still feels like i'm dreaming to be honest. I took a stick test right before and saw the faintest of lines so I was terrified even more! Ive never even seen a faint anything so i was getting excited. My Beta is at 286 and i go back thursday for my second beta. PRAYING HARD it doubles, would love for it to triple to maybe indicate i have more then one bean. I know i'm getting greedy, but a girl can dream

And yes i have 26 follies between 15-20mm! Reading your response definitely calmed my nerves. I just keep thinking the worst and its hard to find a reference range. Hoping to get a phone call soon with blood results so that i know whether to trigger tonight or tomorrow.

AFM Yesterday my lower back was really sore and I had little nose bleeding that I hoped could be symptoms but today I’ve been feeling that AF is coming
. Still haven’t tested and my beta is tomorrow. DH and I are praying to finally have our first + and the same time feeling devastated that this may all end tomorrow which would mean another benched period while taking care of my goiter. My appointment with endocrinologist is only in the end of January.

@IfYouCanDreamIt the most prominent symptoms I felt were my back being sore and like AF was coming. I actually feel like AF is coming every single day lately, so not necessarily a bad sign! Fx for you!

And I’m out! Beta came fast back with BFN. It’s just not getting easier! Luckily I have a day off and can stay home sobbing by myself until DH comes home. He is having hard time to concentrate at work and is probably coming home early.
I want to thank all of you for the great support you’ve given me, this cycle was the first one for me not feeling so alone with IF. While I mourn for our loss I am so glad to see the BFP’s and great updates so many of you have had this month, it helps to keep my hopes up that eventually I will also experience it.

@kp214- I really hope this may be our magic protocol like it was for you! Just curious- I believe you did lower doses of stims this time. was that your idea or your REs? Both REs have so far told me they would max out my stims even more than before... but part of me wonders if high doses isn't making it worse. I have kind of asked that to each.. but it seems like they don't think that's likely. I'm going to ask again at my last opinion tomorrow.

Fet #1 January 2017: CCRM - Minneapolis bcp/lupron/suppository/p4 in oil QOD AF 12/7, 12/8 start meds. 1/3 lining and blood work check 14/15 mm, BW check 1/6. 1/9 transfer with acupuncture 1 CCS/PGS Normal 5aa hatching Progesterone around 26ish? Lower estrogen level 207 (wanted above 300 but over 200 was acceptable), started 1 estrace, progesterone in oil every other day, vivelle dot patches 4 every other day, 3x estrodiol daily, vitamin cocktail. POAS: - 4dp5dt and 5dp5dt, 6dp5dt frer very very very faint line. 7dp5dt and 8dp5dt + on Accuclear. 8dp5dt pregnant on a clear blue easy digital. 214 pounds at FET

4/14 16 week 2 days Ultrasound baby is looking good with all good numbers sized 17 weeks. Also got to hear her on the doppler for a few mins too.
5/5 19 Weeks 2 days going in for "20" week anatomy ultrasound got measurements but need to come back as wasn't able to get all the measurements
