I have to go in for blood work tomorrow, but I love ur thoughts on the pregnancy test would've opted for that!! I haven't had a good night sleep in weeks! @jamieh2000 you r very wise as well! Yes my clinic does do day 3 transfers and since I don't have many, I'll be doing icsi and day 3. I believe that's they're protocol with age and numbers. It's a bit nerve racking HOWEVER IF I don't have more then one to transfer then I might just try to bank them. Dear lord this is all very trying!! i also don't want to overly plan either, I would like to think I'll get good news but I'm going to do this one day at a time and hope for the best!! @adoc86 OH has been traveling with work all day so he really hasn't had much of an opinion. I just got the update!! There are 4 embryos that are graded a 1, which is the best, 2 that are a 2 and 2 that are 3. One embryo that didn't appear fertilized Saturday apparently decided to join the party. It's being kept separate and monitored. I'm in shock and very happy! Also a nervous wreck! You all can relate.

Sorry...I went kinda MIA during stims and retrieval as I was camped out about 5 hours away from home and wasn't on the computer much.
We ended up having 36 eggs retrieved on 11/10. 30 of them were mature but only 16 fertilized. Now I am waiting on cell development update on 11/16 and then CCS testing hopefully completed by 11/30. I am currently waiting on my AF so I can start BCP.

All movement was uncomfortable and I got shooting pains I my neck if I laid on my side. I had to sleep a little more propped up than usual. I was feeling better 2 days after, just really slow-moving. I drank so much Gatorade you'd think they sponsored my IVF (now there's an idea). Feeling back to normal now!

Hi Ladies... Thank you for all of your responses:) I've been out of it for awhile, I'm suffering with pretty bad ohss. Not fun. But the good news is my beta has been steadily going up. I had beta 2 last Wednesday, it went from 197 to 310, not exactly double but they didn't seem worried. My nurse said sometimes the ohss can mess with your hcg figures. I had another beta today and it went up to 2609, so I'm happy with that! I go in for an ultrasound on Friday, I will keep you all posted. Good luck to everyone else getting their betas this week!

@kp214 Last time it took about a week. So I imagine right before Thanksgiving.
I was really hoping to have more to get PGS tested. I'm so afraid that we'll send off our 3-5 samples and hear back that only one is normal, like last time. Or worse- none. And then I'm worried that after this cycle our RE will come back and say that we should look into donor eggs.
I was hopeful when we heard 8 made it to Day 3, but now things are looking eerily familiar. I'm trying to stay positive, but I just feel defeated today. Sorry for being a debbie downer, y'all.

afm, the estrace and/or the progesterone is/are making me very irritable. It's over stupid things. I know something's off. I haven't been sleeping well either, so it could be a combination of things. Poor DH.

So after just finding out a few weeks ago that my husband's sister is pregnant (she's newly married and tried all of two months), my husband's brother and his wife announced last night that they too are expecting. While I'm happy, I'm also frustrated that it is so easy for everyone else. I also feel like there's so much pressure on me now to get pregnant. They all know we're doing IVF, but they treat it like it's a guarantee that we'll have a baby the first try. I know I'm being whiney, thanks for listening

AFM just returned from ER, 3 eggs retrieved. Feeling physically OK just lightly bloated, having hard time thinking of anything else but the news we are waiting to hear tomorrow. RE mentioned possibility for laser assisted hatching. It's the first time I hear about it and I'm now reading online to learn more.
@IfYouCanDreamIt glad the retrieval went well. We had the assisted hatching done. I have no idea how it's done. Do you think you want to do it? It is tough to think of anything else right now. Do you have any plans to help distract you?

I think it is even harder when they really don't understand what you are going through. I have had so many friends get pregnant and have babies while we have been trying and like @Colleen0516 I have also had some friends have 2 in the time we have been trying. Some days I am thinking I am doing really well, and then someone I know will announce they are pregnant and then all of the sudden I have this anxiety hit me! Like oh no, I am falling behind, I need to pregnant like yesterday so I don't get left behind in this next stage of life:( Praying for comfort, peace, patience, understanding, and perserverance for you! You will be a mom too, it WILL happen! Hoping Friday goes well for you and those embabies get nice and cozy!!
AFM, I am back at home now after my early AM retrieval. RE said 9 eggs for sure, but could possibly find a couple more and she will call to confirm this afternoon. This is my first time going through ER, and I am surprised at how easy it has all seemed so far! Everyone we interacted with was great today. Anesthesiologist said he and his wife did IVF and were successful with their first, so that was kind of some good vibes to start with:) I went to sleep quick and woke up fast, no nausea, mild cramping, and I don't feel very bloated just yet. My RE said it will come for sure. Just taking it easy today. I have a decent number of friends and family that know what we are going through, and all have been so supportive today, texting good luck notes and checking on me:) And then of course I have all of you guys cheering us on:) Thank you all for your support, I am so appreciative:) Feeling the love today!

Make sure to eat some prunes or some stool softener stuff...I was backed up for a few days after the ER. Also for me I got sore day 2 way more than the day after recovery. Stay on the Tylenol and hot packs. I am really just feeling normal 5 days later.

Kp214 Thank you! My RE is very experienced and if he is recommending assisted hatching I do believe it’ll improve our chances and I’m ready to try it. I have some baking orders to work on that will take my mind away for a little while. And what I forgot to mention in previous update - the anesthesiologist found my left thyroid gland swollen and I’m going for tests tomorrow. Lot’s happening at the same time now but I’m feeling hopeful that this will bring some answers.

AFM I can't believe i made it through an ER, I was nervous going in and tried to stay calm as i could. I was scared i would come out with nothing. Happy to report I got 4, yay!! All from the right side what a trooper, I need to have a serious conversation with my left side Now even though they got 4, she did say one seems a lil abnormal - I'm sure something everyone wants to hear NOT!! so with that said they are still going to try to fertilize it with regular natural insemination. Since one of the follies were on the smaller side I think thats why they want to do 2 natural and 2 icidi SO I'm still quite nervous. I'm glad its given us hope and something to work with. Like so many of you lovely ladies have told me, thats one hurdle done. I cried when they told me and continued to cry when she said everything looks normal and great. Its just that feeling ike maybe this really can work. I've been very concerned that my eggs aren't good lately so i think its just all of that coming together into one making me an emotional mess.

@IfYouCanDreamIt is the assisted hatching done with icxi? Or do they do that before transfer. I remember my RE mentioning it but now i can't remember, shocking!

@kp214 and you're not wrong for saying desperate - i feel very much like that as much as i don't want to. Its a terrible feeling as i try so hard to be happy in life and feel like this is getting the better for me, i'm sad all the time. Hopefully i can finally be on an upswing. My dr was trying to comfort me she's just not a warm person oddly enough. And she seemed really happy with the results so far so i'm trying to go on that!!

Hey gals, I'm going to sign off since we sat down with the RE and are planning to have a controlled FET the beginning of January. The lab closes mid Dec so the timing kinda sucks, but gives my body some time to recover! The official freeze report isn't ready since they let some of them continue to cook to day 6. They did freeze one yesterday though! i just wanted to wish all of you the best as you all continue on. I know that feeling of "seriously one more Pg announcement and I'm gonna snap" and the same people asking "are you pregnant yet? Hurry up" like omg you are lucky I'm not armed lol. It's good to know that there are people you can confide in anonymously, so I really appreciate you all for listening and encouraging. One of my mottos is "laugh so you don't cry"... put on Today's Comedy Radio on pandora as you drive to the RE and know that you could be that success story. It's the toughest road I never wanted to be on, and hope to get off of it soon, but we'll come out stronger on the other side. XX

I have my ER first thing tomorrow morning, I'm excited to move onto the next stage but also feel like I am going to be so nervous going in. I'm not a fan of anaesthetic and also hoping they catch some good eggs.
@hopeful_mom that is fabulous news!!! I am so happy to hear that you got 4 eggs! We fertilized all of our eggs with ICSI. Assisted hatching happens after the embryo is fertilized but before transfer. It also increases the chances of identical twins! I can't remember the stats for it though, but I thimk it was pretty significant.
Me: 30 DH:30 No kids yet DH: Diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in 12/15 resulting in right orchiectomy &one round of BEP chemo. Banked sperm prior to treatment. Not enough in storage to risk on IUI so encouraged to go right to IVF w/ICSI. Together since 2001. @jamieh2000 you r very wise as well! Yes my clinic does do day 3 transfers and since I don't have many, I'll be doing icsi and day 3. I believe that's they're protocol with age and numbers. It's a bit nerve racking HOWEVER IF I don't have more then one to transfer then I might just try to bank them. Dear lord this is all very trying!!
i also don't want to overly plan either, I would like to think I'll get good news but I'm going to do this one day at a time and hope for the best!!
@adoc86 OH has been traveling with work all day so he really hasn't had much of an opinion. I don't think we'll ever see eye to eye on this 100%. Let hope he'll be too tired to argu when he finally gets home!!

@ljsmith805 I'm feeling nervous over excited. I really didn't think I would make it this far. Today my tech was having issues seeing my follies and I thought great here we go again, I assumed I ov. I'm like the problem child she had to get the dr on call to come check me out. Glad he found something finally!! I'm g-dwilling do icsi too, especially with such a low count. My infertility is unexplained and really old age! My low AMH is technically I font have a lot of time left in the game. It's amazing there's still so much unknown to this.

@kp214 are you feeling better? I'm late to the game,sorry! I was pretty bloated the day of and day after. All movement was uncomfortable and I got shooting pains I my neck if I laid on my side. I had to sleep a little more propped up than usual. I was feeling better 2 days after, just really slow-moving. I drank so much Gatorade you'd think they sponsored my IVF (now there's an idea). Feeling back to normal now!

I was really hoping to have more to get PGS tested. I'm so afraid that we'll send off our 3-5 samples and hear back that only one is normal, like last time. Or worse- none. And then I'm worried that after this cycle our RE will come back and say that we should look into donor eggs.
I was hopeful when we heard 8 made it to Day 3, but now things are looking eerily familiar. I'm trying to stay positive, but I just feel defeated today. Sorry for being a debbie downer, y'all.

So after just finding out a few weeks ago that my husband's sister is pregnant (she's newly married and tried all of two months), my husband's brother and his wife announced last night that they too are expecting.
While I'm happy, I'm also frustrated that it is so easy for everyone else. I also feel like there's so much pressure on me now to get pregnant. They all know we're doing IVF, but they treat it like it's a guarantee that we'll have a baby the first try. I know I'm being whiney, thanks for listening

I think it is even harder when they really don't understand what you are going through. I have had so many friends get pregnant and have babies while we have been trying and like @Colleen0516 I have also had some friends have 2 in the time we have been trying. Some days I am thinking I am doing really well, and then someone I know will announce they are pregnant and then all of the sudden I have this anxiety hit me! Like oh no, I am falling behind, I need to pregnant like yesterday so I don't get left behind in this next stage of life:( Praying for comfort, peace, patience, understanding, and perserverance for you! You will be a mom too, it WILL happen! Hoping Friday goes well for you and those embabies get nice and cozy!!
AFM, I am back at home now after my early AM retrieval. RE said 9 eggs for sure, but could possibly find a couple more and she will call to confirm this afternoon. This is my first time going through ER, and I am surprised at how easy it has all seemed so far! Everyone we interacted with was great today. Anesthesiologist said he and his wife did IVF and were successful with their first, so that was kind of some good vibes to start with:) I went to sleep quick and woke up fast, no nausea, mild cramping, and I don't feel very bloated just yet. My RE said it will come for sure. Just taking it easy today. I have a decent number of friends and family that know what we are going through, and all have been so supportive today, texting good luck notes and checking on me:) And then of course I have all of you guys cheering us on:) Thank you all for your support, I am so appreciative:) Feeling the love today!

Its a terrible feeling as i try so hard to be happy in life and feel like this is getting the better for me, i'm sad all the time. Hopefully i can finally be on an upswing. My dr was trying to comfort me she's just not a warm person oddly enough. And she seemed really happy with the results so far so i'm trying to go on that!!

The official freeze report isn't ready since they let some of them continue to cook to day 6. They did freeze one yesterday though!
i just wanted to wish all of you the best as you all continue on. I know that feeling of "seriously one more Pg announcement and I'm gonna snap" and the same people asking "are you pregnant yet? Hurry up" like omg you are lucky I'm not armed lol. It's good to know that there are people you can confide in anonymously, so I really appreciate you all for listening and encouraging. One of my mottos is "laugh so you don't cry"... put on Today's Comedy Radio on pandora as you drive to the RE and know that you could be that success story. Diagnosis: Mild Endo, DOR (AMH of 1.5), Poor Quality Eggs/embryos, Displaced Window of Implantation (ERA Post Receptive)
March-May 2016: 1 TI and 2 IUIs- BFN
June 2016- Laproscopy- found/removed mild endo and confirmed only 1 normal healthy ovary.
August 2016- IVF #1 with Antagonist Protocol- Cancelled (2 lead follies), converted to IUI- BFN
Oct-Nov 2016- IVF #2 with Estrogen Priming Micro Lupron Protocol, 2 eggs retrieved, day 3 transfer of 1- BFN
January 2017- New RE, IVF#3 with Estrogen Priming Antagonist Protocol, 12 eggs, 8 mature, 6 fertilized, 2 day 5 early blasts transferred (none to freeze
May 2017- Sept 2017- Starting Donor Egg process! Waiting for donor to be available... and then she is pregnant at baseline

3/2016: RE suggested donor eggs- taking an ivf break and to supplement
9/2016: 3rd ivf cycle-cancelled due to early ovulation
Oct./Nov 2016: 4th ivf cycle- EPP-AFC:5, retrieved 10, 10 mature, 8 fertilized with ICSI, 6 blastocysts biopsied and frozen. 3 CCS normal embryos
