@iceandsnowflakes29 Thanks for the tips! I don't really know where my cervix is... I also don't know where the g-spot is but that's an entirely different issue. Probably even a different board.
Amen that someone else said this! Everyone's like oh I checked my cervix and whatever whatever and I'm over here like where the eff is it?! And should I really be sticking my fingers up there to check?!..I have long nails That being said I definitely only check the TP or my underwear for CM! And then categorizing the damn stuff...I'm at a loss. yesterday the only way I could describe it is stretchy muscus with a pink hue (shockingly FF doesn't have that in the drop down box)...so i put egg white figuring it was closest to that and then FF is like jump on that pony girl today you're very fertile....ummm its cycle day 10 of a probably 40something day cycle, I don't think so. @SoonToBeMommaHowe Well, my mama always taught me to be honest! Yeah, I did grow up to be proud of my body (ergo, I wasn't raised to be shamed of it), but I still feel weird exploring up there. I might actually have felt it. Is the cervix tender? Something complains up there.
Your CM stretchy though! That's gotta amount to something, because no other CM is categorized as stretchable. So I'd put that down as EWCM. I did read somewhere once that fertile CM is not always aligned with when you ovulate, unfortunately. Sometimes the body's just gearing up for it. However, this can also be a good thing, because if you have fertile CM now, any BD you have will mean the sperm is more likely to thrive in your woman shrine until you do ovulate. In sum, you might not be O-ing today, but your body's readying you for it. I say HIO tonight just in case.
ETA: I don't have long nails, so I'm not scratching when I'm exploring, lol..
Oh and I totally forgot this until just now because I fell asleep afterwards but this morning DH FINALLY questioned WHY I've been taking my temperature every morning (1.5 cycles in )
He was all "So is it just to know your temperature?" And I was all "............yes."
haha it gets better!
He asks, thinking he's being funny "Are you sure you don't have to take it rectally?" And I chuckle and say "No..I might have to take it vaginally, but not rectally" lol To which he replies "Ohh so only guys would have to take it rectally, since they can't take it vaginally?" "Yes, dear. Only guys would have to take it rectally" bahahahahaaaaaa! Oh man. Smdh.
I had a very hard time at first finding it. You might try hiking a leg up first. I can't find it just standing or laying down. Start early in your cycle when it is lower.
Sometimes I can't reach mine. If it is so high up you can't reach it consider yourself fertile!
And gross but, in order to identify different types of CM, I straight up Googled pics.
@allysondunn2 I usually BD EOD during high and then once I get peak I BD ED until temp shift. The cycle I got KU I never got a peak and had EOD timing. This cycle I only had 2 days of high where other cycles I've had many more high days. So what you think is right if you think you are going to dry out!
@renneannemm@dubcompanion I think we've talked about this before but I have a extroverted uterus too. When it's high during FW I can barely touch my cervix and can never reach the opening half the time so have no idea when it's open or not.
@rainbowturtles LOL ... Thanks for the story and for some Cumberbatch! I'm sure your H is darling though, so that's why you keep him!
Yeah, when my BBT thermometer arrived on Monday, here's our exchange:
DH: Oh, that's a BBT thermometer. Me: Yep, it is. ::momentarily lull:: Do you know what it does? DH: It takes your temperature? Me: And do you know why I'm doing that? DH: It's to know when you're fertile. Me: Right. When do you think I'll know? DH: When it dings like an oven timer?

@dubcompanion lol oh DH is wonderful and I'm sure yours is, too, but as you said, they can be a bit clueless I haven't decided yet whether or not I want him to know exactly why I'm temping because I'm worried he could get "performance jitters" as others have mentioned, when the time comes to burn the bench! So for now I'm completely okay with him thinking I just want to track my temperature every day lol
Oh dear, I'm going to hurt myself trying to find my cervix. At least with locating the g-spot, it sounds like there's a reward for that scavenger hunt.
I do appreciate everyone's guidance on this matter. I'm thinking temping and what CM will cooperate will be my charting mainstays for now!
You are all cracking me up today! Which I seriously needed since I got a BFN this morning, saw a "guess what Santa's bringing us" PG announcement on FB, and got a picture of the woman at my office's baby born last night. Ugh!
Also, as for the CM, getting in the mood isn't so much the problem and I can produce for that. Just in the past, pre-MC stage of my life, if my guy were like "Hey baby ::wiggles eyebrows::" and I weren't really interested, there was enough 'stuff' down there, I'd be like, "whatevs." Now... sometimes it's the FW and I'm like, uh... well, I'm clearly interested and I should be good to go, but where is all the EWCM I'm supposed to have pouring out of my body right now!?!

For some reason it's not letting me tag people (I'm mobile bumping today) but I wanted to jump in the convo. I'm really mad I was too busy to get on yesterday because I missed so many things!
DH and I usually try to have relations EOD but one month I guess we were particularly randy and had a few days where we did it every day. But the time I was at like cd10 we were exhausted and I usually o on cd13 or 14. So now we try to pace ourselves. :-)
I have only had EWCM like a handful of times in my life. I had it once before I was TTC and googled it because I had no idea what it was and why I had so much. Of course now that I'm trying to get KU its disappeared. I do have watery CM which I usually mark as fertile for me. It hasn't disappeared since my loss but I have noticed that since me mmc I have fertile cm way past ovulation and have had it up to af the last 2 cycles so I never switched to creamy. Not sure what that's all about. I have been drinking tons of water and green tea so I hope that's helping.
I'm currently on CD9, cycle 6 of TTCAL. I've been offline for a couple weeks as I've had a lot going on (both good and bad things) for a few weeks. I am so over TTC honestly, too. BFPs usually don't trigger me, but lately I am just wallowing so they seem to. I've brought up to DH a few times that maybe we should just be done and close the baby chapter. He doesn't want to give up.
As you can see I am feeling like a downer so that is why I've stayed away. But I want you all to know I've been thinking about you guys hoping you get BFPs and that the babies stick.
@MooFish2364 I don't always have EWCM but usually have watery at least during FW, sometimes even after O, which always makes me think I'm totes KU. For me, watery is usually my most fertile as well. I've heard guaifenesin is useful to help thin the CM if you take it daily up until O is confirmed. Just probably not something I would do as I don't like taking extra meds. I'm more apt to just add a dab of Preseed since I've found that DH and I don't hate it.
My symptom spotting has just gone to a whole new level. I haven't even ovulated and I'm feeling twinges in my lower abdomen and my FIRST thought is 'oh maybe I'm pregnant!' Helloooo dummy, you had a doctor crank you open and mash your uterus around yesterday, that's why you're having these twinges! Like calm yourself SS, we still have a week to go.
@roper2617 Have DEFINITELY done that more than once. "Oh, maybe you dreamed that massacre that was your last period"

CD8 today over here too. My cycles are typically 25 days but I still ovulate around CD14/15 usually. Except my Dr got me all confused and told me that if/when I start Clomid I start on CD5 and to count spotting as CD1, I've always not counted spotting. Who knows anymore, for now, today, I am CD 8 lol.
@brooklyngirl18 I am CD 8. A little ahead of your time but I'm happy to cheer you on either way! And agreed - much better to have the genuine stuff to ease your mind.
@roper2617 I've heard that before too. Normally, they say to start counting a new cycle when AF hits full force, but on Clomid, to count spotting. (Makes sense; progesterone levels are causing the spotting and that's important for timing of Clomid.)
@roper2617 Will your doctor be monitoring your clomid cycles? I've only done 1 clomid cycle with my RE, but we did CD 3-7 and counted full flow as CD 1 which from my understanding is pretty standard. It amazes me the differentiation with information doctor to doctor.
@dubcompanion that makes so much sense! Thanks for the clarification
@BornReady He's letting me run wild for now, if I do need the Clomid. I already have the prescription because I live out of town and he figured me having to drive back just to pick up the prescription would be a waste of time (I agree). I'm to go back to see him in 6 months if I'm not KU. I imagine that's when he'll want to monitor more closely. We're first figuring out if diabetes or prolactin are issues before starting the Clomid. I was supposed to get my blood work done today but I went to the building and they had a water main break and were closed, so tomorrow it is! Edit to add: I agree, there's so much difference in opinion from doctors! It's frustrating at times.
@dubcompanion The extent of my voodoo will be using OPKs. I've got 50 Wondfos itching to be peed on (or dipped, actually). Staying well hydrated, ramping the caffeine usage down. I may try the pineapple core thing after O, though.
@Wishilivedinflorida I might try the pineapple core thing as well. I've completely cut out alcohol for WTO and likely TWW also. I enjoy wine on the weekends but I can live without it. Water drinkage has definitely increased, though the near 100 degree temps help to encourage it.

^Ditto. Anymore I get hung over no matter how little I drink. Getting old sucks.
i don't have much voodoo planned, just peeing on opk twice a day (thank you amazon for my plethora of wondfos arriving tomorrow) and plenty of BD. O should arrive right around the time DH is graduating so it might be excellent planning or terrible planning based on all the craziness surrounding those days.

@Wishilivedinflorida I've never metabolized alcohol well. Luckily, I've only had a few hangovers in my life, but that's also because I start feeling like death after 3+ drinks!! (I'm soooo fun at parties, lol. At least I'm a cheap date?) But yeah, we'll see if zero drops of alcohol help move things along. Can't hurt.
Hi all! I'm on CD5, so almost done with AF (yay) and then I'll be starting the waiting game for OV...this round I started Clomid -- found out I wasn't OVing at all since I miscarried back in Nov 2015, so that was sweet....I've been seeing BFN's for over 4 months, and come to find out my body wasn't even doing what it was supposed to, so here's to crossing fingers this works!
