I had my first occurrence of losing balance and falling over while trying to put my pants on standing. DH just stared in bewilderment. Good thing my bedroom is carpeted
Our baby shower was Saturday. After all returns and exchanges I got just about everything else we need for $1.24 out of pocket. Just need a few more things the particular BRU I was at didn't have. And we still have lots of gift card money left to cover those items. My frugal heart is dancing.
In the spirit of Star Wars lovers out here in bump town, I give you chewbacca lady. If you haven't seen it and needed a great laugh, please continue! My brother sent it to me over the weekend and I about pissed myself! https://youtu.be/y3yRv5Jg5TI
Maybe I should save it for UO, but I didn't find the Chewbacca lady video funny. I smiled a bit as I watched it. I'm glad she's so happy and geeked out over it. But I don't see the hilarity or understand why it's such a viral sensation.
@Jodi1980 Did you see the follow up video to that? Kohls went to her house and brought masks for her two kids and her husband too so she wouldn't have to share. That video wasn't as funny, but I was imagining the whole family of them doing it together!
Her laugh is what made me laugh probably way too much than I needed too! I just wish Kohl's would come to my door with presents and recognition over a silly video....LMBO
@Jodi1980 I'm not huge on star wars but I found her laugh to be contagious and I laughed with her. My husband who isn't a fan of viral vids also thought it was funny and cute. I love that Kohls went to her house and hooked up her kids with toys such a nice story!
I just feel crappy today, on top of it being a general Monday. I too am having the insomnia between 3-4 every night and then it seems that I wake up every hour. For lunch nothing sounded good so I made the grave mistake of grabbing Mcdonald's. It's fast and cheap and close to work. It made me feel worse and I just want to curl up in a ball for the next 2 months, please.
Yesterday, I was having a hard time getting myself ready after I took a shower. I was SO out of breath and I just wanted to lay down. I have this large container of shea butter lotion that I use to reduce the itching and I knocked it off of my bed while the lid was off. It rolled off and lotion just went all over the carpet. I was trying my best to get it back into the container but I was so weak that I was moving pretty slowly. My husband decided to come check on me at that very moment and when he got to the door, he saw me sitting in the floor in only underwear with lotion all over the carpet and my hands - I nearly burst into tears and he DIED laughing. I promise you he laughed for a full minute without taking his eyes off of me. When he could finally breathe he said, "I feel like I just walked in on my child after they made a huge mess. This is PRICELESS." I couldn't help but start laughing, too. I managed to save most of my lotion and I rubbed the rest in the carpet with my feet. I know I'll never get to live that one down.
DD has been asking about going potty for months and have a few successes (poop and pee). We finally found uninterrupted time at home to try underwear. Morning of day 1 = disaster. I know this is how it usually goes at the beginning but I am a wreck. Exhausted and stressed. She made it once and managed to hold it halfway to the potty another time. Lots of pee on the floor. Also, DH is flying out of town for work right now, so I may just lose my mind these next few days.
@Kellyj103 I'm not a star wars fan either but my older brother is (not the one who sent the vid to me). Anyway, we get a kick out of Chewbacca's cackles & screams and to make him nuts, I'll play it via bluetooth in my car when he is with me. Gets him everytime.
Baby girl "dropped" noticeably yesterday. I never noticed that happen with my son, so it was so strange! Suddenly, breathing is easier, and movements are getting more painful. I'm amazed at how completely different in every way my two pregnancies have been!

I feel that way too... all 3 of my pregnancies have been so different from symptoms to concerns with blood pressure and GD, I feel like I have no idea what to expect for labor even though I've done this twice (I was induced once)
I was annoyed my doctor didn't check me today considering the massive amount of cervical pain and BH I've been having the last 10 days or so. And then I realized how ridiculous it was to be mad that a man wasn't fondling my lady bits unnecessarily. Pregnancy really changes your brains.
1. Baby has hiccups and keeps thumping at my cervix. 2. I have gotten to the point where I feel like if I cannot see a body part, then nobody else can either. Normally, I will shut our bedroom door when I change. Not anymore. My husband's friend was over, I walked into our room (he wasn't in there), dropped my pants and underwear, grabbed some other's....and didn't have them on yet when MH came into the room His eyes instantly got huge and he was like "What are you doing?! The door is wide open!" I just kind of shrugged and said "I can't see anything past my belly, so I just kind of feel like if I cannot see it, then it doesn't matter and nobody else can see it either." I'm like one of those toddlers that covers his/her eyes during hide and seek, and thinks that because they cannot see you, you cannot see them. KWIM? Well, that is how my lady bits have become.....I cannot see them, so nobody else can see them..... 3. I find it hilarious that TB has ear plugs as one of their ads.....on a site for moms. We probably all needy to invest in these bad boys!
Haha @PhoebeJune1984 I totally get the pants thing, several times I have nearly forgotten to put some on when leaving my room. When other people were over haha.
Thank goodness the evening of potty training finally turned around. Right when I was ready to quit or at least burst into tears was about when we had a break through. Going potty like every 15 minutes, about a couple hours without accidents. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
@givemepenguinss It's hard/risky doing it so close to baby's arrival and being so pregnant. I was sweating today cleaning half the kitchen floor repeatedly from running a peeing toddler to the potty. If DH didn't have an awesome paternity leave, I would not consider potty training right now because I'd be afraid of regressions and accidents while taking care of a newborn. Good luck if you try it. I'm attempting the 3 day method where you just switch to underwear/naked bottom, stay home, and no turning back. I hope it's like ripping off a bandaid.
@whataboutscience that is my preferred method, too. I know it's bad timing, but I feel like the whole next 6 months is going to be bad timing. Might as well try now? Ugh, dreading it.
We are doing a fitness/ health challenge at work and part is to drink 64 oz of water a day lately I've been so busy I have to chug large amounts of water at a given time. My poor pregnant bladder is about to give up and just pee anywhere and everywhere
@Backbypopulardemand good for you! I mean the health challenge. Not almost peeing yourself! I'm eating a Twix bar while reading this. Yikes.
My random is that we were told our induction date today. The night of June 9th/morning of June 10th as long as things don't change/get worse. Little guy is measuring 65th percentile with the guesstimation of 6lbs1oz. He's doing great in there which gives me a lot of relief!
So my baby is going to be a May baby. My water broke this afternoon. I'm in the hospital, waiting to see if he comes or he will be induced on Wednesday. I've had steroid shots. I'm exhausted. Plus scared. 34 weeks just seems too soon!
