Honey @ColleenSwerb ain't scared of you. She was not calling your family stupid, she was saying that the statement is stupid...and it kinda is. Saying you can't buy things for a kid with out knowing if it's a boy or girl is a BS excuse. There are plenty of gender neutral things in all the stores for people who choose not to find out. There are tons of non gender specific things, bottles, toys, clothes, swings, carriers, I could go on and on and if they didn't like that they could get diapers or wipes or a gift card FFS! I'm sorry you got your feelings hurt, but responding the way you did was uncalled for, obviously since the mods removed your post. Just take a breath and move on, you're not doing anyone any favors by acting the way you are, least of all yourself.
She did call my family stupid and I took offense. Her comment was uncalled for and I don't need to defend my statement on why my DH and I are not Team Green. It's not for everyone. Like I stated in my original post my DH and I do not like the colors green or yellow and it's hard to find gender neutral items that are not in those colors.
Also ::yawn:: at @loveyoga7 calling @ColleenSwerb names for calling her family names or whatever bullshit she's trying to rustle up. Just in case you didn't know: you're just as "bad" and "wrong" as you think she is if you do the same right back This isn't kindergarten. No one cares about pointless drama. This nonsense is cluttering up the awesome random thoughts thread which is usually full of joy and carelessness. What are you going to accomplish by starting an internet fight with a stranger? Nothing. Great. Thanks. Move along :-q
Except as explained, it's NOT hard to find gender neutral items that are not yellow and green. Red. Orange. White. Black. Grey. Girls can wear blue too
:-O Girls can wear blue??? My world has just been opened up!
Colleen, you know there are only 4 colors in the world .Pink = girl, blue = boy, yellow/green=we don't know.
Except as explained, it's NOT hard to find gender neutral items that are not yellow and green. Red. Orange. White. Black. Grey. Girls can wear blue too.
I am sorry for calling you ugly and making fun of your sunglasses and hat. This is not me at all and not who I am. Your comment infuriated me and my temper has never gotten out of control like this. You have your point but I don't think calling my family "stupid" was necessary.

I was just going to list all the colors I could think of lol. Great minds and all that
Moving on from the nonsense... The system I need to use at work is not working today but they still want us to spend our whole day *trying* to use it on the off chance that it works... Um, do we not care about productivity at all? Should I just do nothing and say I tried all day?
My house is freezing but I'm too lazy to walk up the stairs and turn up heat or grab a jacket. This blanket will have to do while I eat my Reese's puffs for dessert.
I love my husband dearly, but after my dinner plans with friend fell through? Sooooo happy to have the house to myself for an evening! Now I can watch "Once Upon A Time" guilt-free while I start my Etsy Christmas shopping ...
@karissamonzo we can be high risk together. I guess I won't waste my time heading over to that board.
What's your story lady!?!? Sorry that's not excitement that you are high risk!
I'm having identical twin girls so started seeing the MFM two weeks ago. Everything was going great and I thought today was goin to be a "see you in two weeks" appointment. I had an ultrasound today and baby a is looking good but the fluid for baby b is low. Now I get ultrasounds twice a week. They are thinking I have twin to twin transfusion going on.
Mom to 10 year old DS and 7 year old DD. Twin girls coming soon!
After eating an actual portion of food for once (seriously, I take 5 bites and I'm all OMG DYING!?!) I reaaaally wanted a pancake. Just one. Multiple pancakes wouldn't sit well.

Yikes, I'm sorry that they are concerned about this. I really hope that everything is OK. Please keep us informed.

Pretty sure my dog hates me right now. She has a small wound on her neck and she won't leave it be so it can heal. We are supposed to keep her from scratching it, but she is amazing at escaping from all bandages. So tonight we decided to try to put my sons shirt on top of it
Looking forward to my families shopping trip tonight for Toys for Tots. We always go out together, pool our money and purchase for teenagers. Tonight we're getting fishing supplies for older boys and any girls who like to fish. We'll be getting fishing rods with reels, tackle boxes and lures. Then, we'll be going out for dinner after. This is our third year doing this rather than getting big gifts for each other. It is a fun night together.

We should start an Anchorman countdown. We could do like a daily check in until the movie comes out!
Yes! And as we get closer, seven different threads each day asking "Are you seeing A2 on Friday?" "Who else is seeing A2 on Saturday?" "Who is seeing A2 on opening night?"
Also "I'm going to the 3pm showing, anyone else??"

This early? Oh girl that sucks I am sorry. Does that mean guaranteed bedrest from early on? I have a family friend who had triplets, and the identical twins had twin to twin transfusion and she ended up getting some sort of surgery that fixed something in the cord and it stopped (I don't know if she was a special case but it was the first I heard of surgery for that issue). But the point of the story is that she has 3 perfect little triplet boys that are 2 years old. They all turned out fine.
Surprisingly no bed rest. Dr said there is nothing I can do to help or hurt this. On Monday I have to go to the office at the hospital because I might have to have an amino. The dr did tell me about the surgery and if I needed it there are only a few hospitals in the country that does it. This sucks but the good thing is they caught it early and there are different things for them to help stop it.

I am so sorry to hear this lady! Having identical twin girls myself I have a fear of TTTS. I hope it's not and I will keep you in my T&Ps. Keep us updated!

This is super awesome. Multiple high fives to @twirple
I think next time I go to BJ's I'm gonna grab a name off the tree.
I know this is horrible of me...but, for the past 5 years, I've done the salvation army angel program - where you get the tag off the tree and donate a gift. Annnnd....I don't like the way they run it. They've been rude whenever I've returned my gift and tag, and last year, as I walked away I WATCHED them throw the chocolate I had put in the bag into the trash. If chocolate wasn't ok, then give it back to me while you are taking the donation. Also, I volunteered at the foodbank for them one year - and same thing . I was disgusted with the amount of food they dismissed as "inappropriate" and threw away. This year will be the first year I will not participate. I typically throw a toy into the toys for tots bin...but, I might look into some other program this year. I want to be helpful and giving - but it really irritates me when I think I am being helpful and giving and they are wasting my money.
ETA - Twirple, I think its awesome you and your siblings do that! I'm just feeling jaded by my experience.
