I took a nap before eating, and dreamt about Cheetos because I was hungry... Now I'm starving but I don't want any of my turkey dinner leftovers because they aren't Cheetos. The agony. (
@Stace0616 you should be able to take a flag back by hitting "love it".
Ok so I tried it... Did it work?
Honestly, I have to say that I've never had anything come up in the mod queue that's been flagged by you. I don't know why I didn't think of that before.
Can you remember a poster that you think you've flag, I can always check it out.
on mobile, if you hit flag to actually flag you have to pick and option so while you think you may be accidentally flagging people, you really are not
OMG brillz! Then I am definitely not flagging and my Bump life just got a little better haha
I'm thinking about writing Command a very eloquent letter today about how they ruined my Christmas (yes, the whole holiday). The Command strip I bought was supposed to hold up to 5 lbs. My 2.5 lb wreath (which I made with my bare hands) didn't hang on my mirror over the mantel for more than 5 days before it came crashing down in a blaze of glory. It broke my 'Merry Christmas' glittery sign, my cute snow birds (the last ones left at the store, actually) and pulled down my Rosie cat's stocking. The only thing I got lucky about when I surveyed the damage was that my snow globes were all teetering on the edge of the mantel, unbroken.
@KendraColeslaw please do! I bought some of these for little things throughout the house and three of them fell down in the first few days! And just like you, I only put up things that were well under the weight limit. I would demand compensation for their product ruining your holiday cheer!
P.S. Cute decorations! The ones that survived anyway
My endocrinologist just called, my A1C in October was 12.3, and as of Wednesday it's down to 7.2. The lower it goes, the better chances I have at a "normal" pregnancy.
@aviola239 I'm so sorry sweetheart! That sound like the least fun thing ever. I know you'll make it work, but money stress is the worst, and I know your mom didn't help. (((((((((Hugs))))))))))

ETA: We have that exact crib for DS. We've already converted to a toddler bed. SO awesome!
PPS: LMAO I just realized that I missed part of this conversation and that the way I read it was exactly as it was intended to read. WOW, I'll be alright, I promise. LOL! ">
Next week, our orchestra is playing with a heavy metal band. I never even CONSIDERED it to be a problem with baby. But then people started asking me about it. Am I worried? Do I think the baby will be ok? I mean, I totally think so, but, should I not think so?
I will be wearing earplugs, but, I imagine the sound is somewhat muffled in there?? I randomly started to worry...LOL
I went to a loud drum'n'bass show 3 days before delivering DS. And by loud I mean rave-massive sound/volume in a small bar environment. Complete with large crowd of drunk people. He's fine and passed his newborn hearing test in the fastest time the lady had ever seen. He still hears great @ 2 years old. Your baby will be just fine.

I thought so!! It was so weird with everyone coming up to me all worried. People that have had babies even!! :-)
Perfect napping conditions today...two morning poops, great play date, ate a great lunch, happily went down when I put her in the crib, cloudy and cold outside.... She woke up after 45 min screaming for GEEEEEEORGE!!!!!
I truly wonder how people on this board live in the real world when they scream 'BULLY!' whenever someone else criticizes them or pokes fun at something they've said. I bet their children will be SUPER well-rounded individuals.

I need opinions please. I love the boy name Chandler, but I know everyone will think of Friends if I choose that. Does Friends come to mind quickly with that name?
@Jellysparkles It's ok. I'll just pretend you said you rescued a drowning kitten from a raging river and when you dove in heroically you hit your eye on a tree branch. Half blind, you made your way toward the struggling feline, who, in her terror, greeted you with a viscous swipe to the face. Undaunted, you picked up the sodden baby and clutched her to your chest. Tucking her into your décolletage, you fought your way through the swirling rapids until you, with your furry burden, were able to claw your way into the shore, gasping from the effort of navigating the tumultuous eddies. While you lay there, the kitten spied her owner, who was searching frantically for her along the shoreline. She ran to her owner in jubilation, who scooped her up with an exclamation of surprised delight and looked around for the hero who returned her precious fur baby to her. When her eyes fell on your half-drowned form, she insisted on having her driver take you back to her hill-top mansion to clean you up. Clean, warm, and decked out in couture pj's, you went looking for your benefactor who was enjoying tea and clotted cream with her kitty in the solarium. As you started to thank her, she would hear none of it. And when she found out you were with child, she doubled the rescue fee she was planning on giving you, allowing you to work or stay home at you leisure, and set your child up for college for life. The kitty grew to a ripe old age, and hero Jellysparkles was lauded by all for her heroism for the rest of her days.

After a few weeks of feeling FANTASTIC I am suddenly crazy dizzy today. It is making me unreasonably angry.
Also: did anyone listen to Fresh Air on NPR yesterday?? So much craziness. I heard it on my way home from dinner at a restaurant where I had one glass of red wine. I kept imagining what it would be like to get arrested for it on my way home. Pregnant ladies are people too!
@SeattleMomma I know an adult named Chandler and I never associate his name with Friends - even though I have seen every episode! Maybe I did the first time I heard it, but now it's just him- nbd.

Yes. Immediately. :-/
This. I didn't even get through the rest of the sentence before it popped into my head.
I'm so stressed I'm crying at work money's tight as it is, just had to pay late vehicle registration, got a parking ticket for said late registration, and to top it all off, our washer broke on Saturday. Have been doing laundry at MILs but that won't last with the gas to go back and forth.
I tried to ask my mom for help but instead got a lecture about how we should be budgeting better and how my DH is a deadbeat for letting me be the bread winner...never mind that were both working overtime and he's applying for a second job and we don't pay for anything we don't need....a majority of our money goes to my damn student loans I can't get lowered. My mother is really in no place to judge, she f-ed herself over divorcing my father and basically had to be supported by my grandmother for the last 17 years, and now her rich husband. I on the other hand graduated college (which I'm paying dearly for of course) have a career/salaried job, own my home, cars etc, but no I'm the one who needs to learn how to support myself better. She fuckin pisses me off.
And to top it all off I still have no idea how we're going to afford to replace our washer (and likely dryer because it too is dying, takes 4 rounds to dry clothes) so I'm looking up Black Friday appliance sales and crying because we have no money.
Can you get a cheap craigslist washer in the interim? I'm doing laundry at the in-laws until we recover financially from the holidays, but they're 2 miles down the road.
These were Craigslist/handmedowns so we were trying to avoid that because we've had nothing but bad luck. We were hoping we could get someone to help bc I could afford it in combination with my best buy credit card on Black Friday, but now I don't know. I had someone else I know offer me their old ones free but they're 40 yrs old and that makes me really hesitant that we could take them and then be back in this situation when the baby gets here or something. My in laws are about a half hr away so it's definitely not a long term solution.
Thanks for the support guys, my mothers never been DH's biggest fan. She's the one who said she'd try to be happy for us when we got engaged. And she looks for any reason to come down on him, plus she's never really approved of any thing I do, so any amount of money I spend in something SHE doesn't deem a necessity is frivolous spending.
Wow. Your mom sounds peachy. I'm sorry. I wish I could help you out with appliance ideas!
I just realized I'm probably dizzy because my pants are too tight. Guess it's time to retire the last pair of non-maternity pants in the rotation. Now I just want to go home and put on my jammies - it's a medical necessity, right??
We mentioned a Christmas cookie thread a week or two ago where we can share recipes and ideas for cookies if some of you remember... I have no clue what thread it was in but I still plan on doing this! I'm taking the Sunday after Thanksgiving to make cookies with my younger siblings and I'd love to have some awesome ideas by then.
I was planning on starting it that Friday (Black Friday) so it doesn't get lost in the masses by then. Sounds good? Or does anyone want to do it earlier since we can assume most of us will be busy that weekend?
We are still snuggling in bed after our joint afternoon nap (him watching Curious George on the laptop, me farting around on my phone) and I have zero intention of getting up to figure out dinner, despite the fact that my husband will be getting home in 20 min
@aviola329, I'm sorry you're having problems with your washer. If you're willing to think outside the box, you can get a breathing hand washer and a 5 gallon bucket. You will probably need to do a load every day, but with two peoples clothing, it only takes about 10 minutes. I have one that I use for individual items if I don't want to do a whole load in the washer.
You can get it off Amazon or Lehmans.com.
You can find videos on YouTube to see how it works.

Why does every other sex reveal thread talk about their son "not being shy," or their daughter, "acting like a lady?" Why are there no threads saying, "Mon son was such a gentleman, he kept his legs closed the entire time, like the modest little man I know he will be," or "Whelp, my little girl was just puttin' it all out there for the world to see! Spread-eagled and opened wide! No shame in her game!"

I play an instrument that requires a lot of abdominal and wind support. Will it become a lot harder to play the farther along I get since pregnancy tends to make you get short of breath easier and the abs get spread apart? (Is this a ridiculous question?)

It probably will. Your organs just get SO smushed and jammed up in there.
Well that sucks but thanks. I guess oboe will have to go on the back burner later on.
