Is there a way to see notifications when you're mobile? I didn't realize people were @ me or that I had PMs until a few days ago when I bumped from a computer for the first time and saw the notifications. Now I feel like a jerk for accidentally ignoring people.

@ambarnett1 I would definitely talk to your DH. Not having a washer is a huge pain and with another one on the way, I can't even imagine how you're suppose to lug the laundry to your ILs multiple times a week once you're further along in your pregnancy. I was annoyed when I had to go up and down the stairs to do laundry with an 8+month belly (FWP).

Her post history indicates she actually belongs to A15.

It's all just plotting and scheming! She has to seem legit, and then she "accidentally" posts over here instead of A15. Next step: some tale about how she meant to be here all along and was accidentally posting over there, or she likes it here better because.. she can learn from us or something.

I think just a weirdo in the wrong year.

Also, I love thread jacks. I like them better when there is an ensuing gif-war. We haven't had one of those in awhile.

Should we have a thread-jack Thursday?
    YESSSS!!!
  • My dd is 3 and only now am I starting to think she'd like to spend the night at the grandparents' house, without any separation anxiety. Throw a BF, non-sttn baby in the mix and there's no way an optional overnight is happening yet.

  • @deidremaria totally reasonable. To be honest, I'm a little jealous of all of the ladies in my group of friends from my midwife group, because we all went in wanting natural, and they all got it while I got an emergency c-section due to pre-eclampsia. Of course, you're happy for the people who have awesome births just the way they wanted, but it would have been nice to be one of them :)

No way is overnight happening at any point in the nearish future. No milk supply to do it and honestly no real desire. If someday I can get LO down to one feeding a night, I may sleep upstairs in the guestroom for a night to get a full evening of sleep, and let DH bottle feed, but I can't really imagine both of us being gone. There's plenty of time for that in the future!

Trying not to feel guilty that I'm having DH pick up Chinese food for dinner and the house is a nightmare. A certain little boy refused to take any real length naps today and needed to be right with me all the time. Got him asleep, but I am way too beat to do anything of value. Except drink wine. There's some value in that, right?

  • I agree that monthly is excessive! I know you bed share. What if he slept in his own room from time to time. That way you guys have a night alone but he's just a few feet away. Sometimes I spend the early part of the night in the other room with D's dad and eventually creep back into me and D's bed.
  • @3crazykitties‌ I saw how you remembered one my nick names for my little guy! ;-)
  • Just got a facebook invite to a coworker's baby shower. 3rd baby. 3rd boy. And they're hosting it themselves. What would BitchBerry say about that?!?

You should post it in the baby shower board so we can lurk and see. I miss those crazy bitches, I think I'm gonna swing by there and see why they're up to

How big of an age gap?

Still. Sounds gift-grabby without knowing anything else.

  • I have zero interest in spending a night away. LO is bf, wakes up lots at night, doesn't like to go to bed for others, and definitely not back to sleep motn for others. I imagine I'll be breastfeeding him to sleep at college.

  • So remember my girlfriend who got induced yesterday? She was at 6cm this afternoon and within 20 minutes the baby was born. This was when they broke her waters. I'm jealous of her birth. Is this normal? My feelings? Obviously I'm super happy for her and her wife and glad that mommy and baby are doing well I'm just jealous of the fact that her induction went smoothly and mine didn't. I think she went med free too. I know. I'm pathetic.

I get hella jealous of women with easy pregnancy/birth/recoveries. It's super dumb.
  • A snorts when she laughs. XD Kind of embarrassing to admit, but she gets that from me.

  • @Vinny424‌ nah, I didn't like being away from Sullivan overnight at ALL when I left him with his daddy to go out of town for a wedding, and he's ff and crib sleeping. Dates and quality time that appeals to YH sound way more reasonable and healthy. Side note, do you think said counselor has kids? I could see that being well meaning advice someone without children would give.

Regardless of the counselor's actual advice being helpful, I bet just making an effort to hear each other out in a neutral environment will be really effective in getting you two back to a better place.
  • I'm not ready to leave Baby Girl overnight either. We passed on seeing Garth in Jax and I passed on Vegas with DH bc I couldn't bare to leave her. I do BF, but she also gets bottles of formula so that's not an issue. I am also not comfortable leaving her at my ILs overnight. MIL is a hoarder and their house is gross. They also have 5 cats and 2 dogs. I cringe when I have to leave her there for a couple of hours.
  • I don't leave my kids over night until they are weaned, which is usually sometime between 12 and 24 months. DH knows that any trips we take will require bringing the youngest if they are still nursing. The older two stay with my parents. I don't think its crazy that you don't want t leave LO overnight.

  • I had my second night of work, I got home an hour late and Carter is already asleep. I kind of want to cry.
  • It's like my child forgot how to nurse. All the slapping, pinching, pushing off if be, and yanking of the head backwards is too much. I am so sore. My nips need a friggin break!
  • I swear DS got bigger since I put him down four hours ago. What? :(
  • Trying to break this "every two hours" thing DS has going at night.

    It is rough.

I'm in the same boat. Logan's top front teeth are breaking through so he is having a harder time nursing.
