I requested an early ultrasound today because of all the spotting I had. Finally got to see my little bean all smushed up again the side of the yolk sack. And a little flicker of a heartbeat! I’ll be going back in two weeks to hear the heartbeat and see growth progress. My mind is a lot more at ease!
7w0d measures right on track, heartbeat of 145. Sort of a milestone because we haven't been able to see/hear the heartbeat the last 3 times. 💖💖💖 stay safe and strong mouse! 🐀
Had my scan today I thought I was about 8 weeks but they said I’m actually 7w 3d so I ovulated a little later than I thought! Heartbeat was 167bpm so she said it looked perfect 😊
Down to one appointment a week and blood work every other week! All good signs and milestones. Baby is measuring 7weeks3days right on schedule and 150bpm. So happy
@thebabynumberone For me at 7+0 they did transabdominal first, showed me baby and heartbeat and took the picture, then went to transvaginal to do the measurements and showed me baby and heartbeat again. You're in Canada too right? I'm in Ontario and it is standard practice now at most places to do both. They normally do transabdominal first and then do transvaginal. They won't always be able to see something until they do transvaginal so don't worry if they don't show you anything until the transvaginal. This early the transabdominal part is mostly to situate everything inside and transvaginal is to really look at baby. Good luck today:)
@Panaceia yes I am in Ontario, okay great. I was a bit anxious that we are doing it too early and it's my first baby. >.< And my husband was concerned about the transvaginal ultrasound having an impact on the baby. Ugh too much anxiety. Appointment is at 1.35pm EST.
@thebabynumberone My SO was super concerned about the transvaginal and once we saw the heartbeat he actually asked them if they had to do it...at which point they explained to him that it is totally safe and it doesn't go past the cervix so no possibility of harm. I told him I was doing it. I wanted proper measurements and they would never do anything to put baby in danger. Just reassure your H ahead of time that it's totally safe and standard practice and that they will for sure be doing one...just so he is prepared:) The transvaginal can be mildly uncomfortable when they're moving it around but it doesn't hurt and it allows them to get really good pictures and measurements. Update after your appointment if you can. I'd love to hear how it goes:)
5 weeks and 5 days ( pushed 5 days back due to size) and we heard a heart beattt . I teared up when I heard it.
Nurse was lovely and said Dr may say come back in two weeks to see more. What a surreal experience. DH was shocked when he heard the heart beat, actually shocked. Haha
TW The last time we had an ultrasound was last year when I was having a MC. She said she could see a sac but no baby inside. Was fearing that this time. Phew. TW
6 weeks 6 days. My first pregnancy-this is surreal! I saw the heartbeat but the tech did not share with me the heart rate or any audio. I had an abdominal ultrasound done but I swear I can see little arm buds!
@lewofford welcome and congrats on your twins! post a little bit about yourself in the pinned intro thread and join in on your weekly checkin so we can get to know you
