  • @bakerstreetboys Fantastic news! So happy to read your post today.

  • @hopefuljj whatever path you take will be the right one for you. It’s so hard to know what to do. Praying you find peace.

    @bakerstreetboys that’s fantastic!

@emmasemm you are so strong!  Prepping for your 8th cycle takes a lot. Glad you have two more to bank.

@JamieH2000 congratulations!!  I know how you feel about readjusting to the gender. Your little boy will be awesome. I realized that I’m better suited to being a boy’s mom after giving it more thought. It’s going to be great!  I wish I could say that the worry and anxiety will go away so you can enjoy pregnancy. It faded a little for me, but it never truly went away. I hope for you it will.

Fav Quote: The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return

  • Thanks ladies.  We got the call this afternoon confirming that we'll do a day five transfer of two embryos on Tuesday.  If we still have any left over on the day, we'll freeze them.

@JamieH2000 I am definitely going to watch, thank you for sharing :)  Congrats on your clear anatomy scan!
@emmasemm Yay for two more banked embryos despite the nail biter of a day!  That's great that your clinic will let you start another cycle right away, ours doesn't do that.  Are you going to do PGS testing?
  • bakerstreetboys  what a great ER that’s awesome!! Congrats! Hoping those embabies are doing great! Are you planning on transferring two?? I have a good feeling I love fresh transfers!!

@emmasemm Woohoo way to go lady!!! Let’s bank these babies!!! My fellow warrior you are doing great!!! I did the extra cycle too I’m telling you soon you won’t know what u should start worrying about next  :s

thanks for the vag love have an apt with the urologist it’s ridiculous how long u have to wait.  Like WTH no emergency appt it’s so annoying!!!

@JamieH2000  I can’t  <3 more then I already do!! Baby watchcrd with me and approved :) yay for your lik prince cooking!! I know how scary it all is I hope you find some enjoyment!!

@Imajin99 Good luck with the second opinion. It sux when cycles have to be trial and error for u.

@hopefuljj I've been thinking and thinking about you! My heart just aches for you!  I wish I had the answers! I was really hoping you’re did bring the back up plan would be a great idea.  Low Amh doesn’t mean she couldn’t make eggs everyone is different.  Did her other tests show she was Dor? I too echo Jamie above and wonder if u can start the adoption process with still continuing whatever IF journey?  Remember I’m on ur coast and always available to u!!

@purpleviolet9  sending big hugs ur way! As everyone already said this process is not easy and u endure the best u can.  U will know when enough is enough for you. Tw in the hospital losing my twins sick as can be I cried and said I’m done and never doing this again...the loss still effects me.  I will say even through all the physical pain forget the emotional pain I was ready to get back to trying the next day...I knew time wasn’t on my side so there was that too.  Give ur self time you will still want to go on.

@JamieH2000 Thanks!  I have been taking ubiquinol for a year so maybe that helped!  The RE said they usually don’t see that rate make it to day 5. I’m going to test out the trigger and definitely POAS!  My clinic waits 18 days for a blood test and I’m not that patient.
ETA: number of days...still too many!
  • @bakerstreetboys- why on earth would they wait 20 days?! Most wait 9-12 days. At that point it may not even be doubling any more. Also if you weren’t pregnant it is completely unnecessary to keep someone on meds that long. I would push for an earlier test!

  • @JamieH2000 I just double checked and it’s 18 days, but still way too long. With our first cycle I knew I was having a CP so I pushed for an earlier test. I will probably call in a week or so to have it moved up. No idea why they wait so long!
  • @JamieH2000 Thank you for sharing that amazing video and the journey for you and your husband.  So many emotions watching it and complete happiness in the outcome and gives me a lot of hope for us.

@bakerstreetboys That is so awesome, hope you have a relaxing two weeks!

@hopeful_mom Thank you, will let you know what the new clinic says this week.

@emmasemm Hows the cycle coming? Have you started stimming?

  • Anyone heard of or tried the co-flare protocol? I went to the other clinic today and that is what they are suggesting and to switch from Puregon to Gonal-F. I really don't know if I should switch to this clinic and try this more aggressive approach or stay with my current clinic and try the low stimulation with Menopur protocol.  RE at this clinic was really nice and informative.  Just really confused right now of what to do and I need to decide by Sunday.  If I go with the new clinic I will be doing priming with androgel  this month and then stimming in mid November. Any thoughts, opinions and advice would be greatly appreciated.
  • @Imajin99 I haven't heard of that protocol, but I did use Gonal-F in both of my cycles.  I did priming as well to prevent a lead follicle from taking over.  I hope someone else has some advice for you!  It's a good sign that the other RE has some more suggestions.  Can you ask him/her why they would recommend this protocol over the other?
  • @jamieh2000 !!!! That video!!!!!!!! Insert all the sobbing emojis here. Love love love!!! Very proud of you for sharing your story like that. So much respect to you and your husband. You both are going to be such wonderful parents.

    2 iui's to start - BFN
    IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5!    2 5AA 1 6BB  PGS results =  all abnormal :(
IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty.  Nothing made it to day 5
IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled -  looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS

Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!!  1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.

FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol
    Chemical pregnancy
    FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN
Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2????   Miscarriage at 8 weeks.  viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal :(

DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos
    1st transfer - chemical pregnancy
    2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
  • @hopefuljj how are u, pm u.  And I ditto what she said Jamie, it’s so great!!!

@bakerstreetboys yay your pasp! Sending u super sticky vibes good luck mama!!!

@Imajin99 hmmmm it’s interesting that the protocols are so opposite.  I used gonalf but that doesn’t mean anything.  I’m on mobile do can’t see ur history if u have it listed.  But how does ur body respond to meds, do u think the higher dose is frying u? I wanted to be aggressive and always did high meds even though my acupuncturist didn’t agree and thought I should do less drugs.  Are u all OOP can u try both if need be.  Of course not ideal but sometimes u need to try and see what works.  My micro flare dose cycle got converted to an iui as I responded so poorly so u just never know sometimes. What do u want to do?

IVF#7 June 2017 // EPP praying this is it and then on to an FET!

  • @hopeful_mom Thank-you! The 2 IVF cycles I tried were both high dose of medication and only produced 1-2 follicles and during 1st IVF my E2 level started dropping.  I have never tried Gonal F and will find out more about that and how it could possibly be better for me.  As for now DH and I decided to stick with our clinic so we can cycle this month and I have my B/L ultrasound booked for tomorrow morning.  RE is going to try just a menopur cycle with a lower dose as I had done that with my IUI and had better results.  If this does not work well then will switch clinics or talk to my RE about the approach the other clinic has suggested.  I don't know if my ovaries got fried but definitely were not responding to the large dose of meds.  I have not done any priming as RE wants to mimic my IUI cycles where I always had 3-4 follicles and will adjust meds accordingly.  Wish me luck! I think this is the right fit for me.

I’ve been MIA for a bit, sorry ladies!
Glad to come back to @emmasemm & @bakerstreetboys good news! Best of luck ladies.

@JamieH2000 yayy for a baby boy!! Your video was beautiful! Your journey has been a challenging one, but you both made the best of it. Couldn’t be happier for you!

AFM- This Sunday I’am volunteering at an IVF benefit golf outting/dinner to raise money for families TTC through IVF. I love giving back to those struggling with infertility & playing a role in their journey. *hence why you guys can’t get rid of me* Also, my little group of IVF gals that I met through this thread 2-3 years ago are all starting their 2nd rounds of IVF. It’s so exciting to go through it all with them again. It’s just a bit different this time since I’am an outsider looking in. Although I’am blessed as could be with 2 children, it still sucks not having any frosties left to try again.

Cycle two seems to have worked :o I tested out the trigger with cheapies and got a faint BFP at 4dp5dt on a FRER.  Since they're so much more sensitive, I wasn't sure...but today at 5dp5dt, the line was darker.  I'm so nervous that this bean won't stick like the last three...beta isn't until the 22.
  • @bakerstreetboys that’s great news, let those lines keep getting darker!! 5dpt is fantastic!

@Imajin99 sounds like a great plan excited for u to get started!

    @capps42613 <3 hi lady!

  • @bakerstreetboys Exciting!!!!

@Hopeful_mom Thank you however I went in for my baseline and there is two cysts one on each ovary and one cyst has gotten bigger so they are worried it may be endometriosis, don't know much about that so trying to learn. RE did not want me to start the cycle and will check next month :(
  • @hopefuljj- thank you! Hope you guys are hanging in there :) Keep us posted when you figure out your next steps!

@lmajin99- I am so sorry, cancelled cycles are the worst :( were they functional/regular cysts (from left over follicles) or endometrioma cysts and that why they think they are from endo? FX they resolve by next month!!

@capps42613- That is so kind of you to keep staying involved! i totally get how you feel.. even once you "beat" infertility, it stays with you and especially if you aren't able to have as many kids as you would if you didn't have to go through treatment.

@bakerstreetboys- aww that is SO exciting!! I hope your beta day comes quickly!!

  • @Imajin99 i tried responding sooner my apologies I’m a bit under the weather and it sucks! I haven’t takin Tylenol in forever so u kno it’s bad if I gave into it!
hated reading ur update! Cancelled cycles r the worst!  Is that all the dr said let’s just wait to see ugh I hate that too!!! The only upside is u didn’t have to waste time, effort and money with the injections.  Endo is not fun I hear....one dr thought I might have silent endo.  Hoping things will clear up and u will be good to go. One of my very first cycles for an iui I had a cyst and I was devasted as I was so excited to get the process started, I cried to the nurse and she must’ve thought I was a lunatic!!! It did go away on its own so hang in there!!

  • Hopeful_mom Hope you are feeling better! Its that time of year and seems like everyone is sick or getting sick.  How are you feeling otherwise?

RE said the one cyst based on the colour was probably one that would go away on its own since it has done that before. He was concerned about the one on the left I guess based on colour or dentisity. He pulled up the last baseline report from July and said at that time it was 3 (cm/mm-not sure the measurement). However this was never something that was brought up with me at the time of the last IVF cycle.  Now it has grown to 4 (cm/mm) and said I shouldn't start and will check next month.  We asked about possible surgery to remove it if it doesn't go away and he is concerned that it may be harmful to the ovary. Online I have read mixed things about removing it for individuals with low AMH, some say with it there the fertility meds do not work as well others say it lowers the reserve.  I will wait until next cycle (pray it is gone) and then can move forward.  In the meantime I started weight watchers and hoping to shed a bit more weight before the next cycle.

  • @Imajin99 hmmmm I see the reason for concern glad they're keeping a watch on it! I will pray with you that it just resolved itself and u can move forward!! Good for u joining WW it’s tough not gaining weight through this provess.  I unfortunately gained a few lbs after every cycle I did and I already had my own baby bump I was working with, good luck!!

@hopefuljj hey lady! Thinking of u sending love and hugs!  <3

  • @Imajin99 Hoping that the cyst shrinks and goes away.  I have also gained weight through this process.
  • @bakerstreetboys can’t you get in for an early beta Friday or Saturday? Keeping fx those lines are darkening nicely!
We haven’t PGS tested yet, and I change my mind on a daily basis if we will or not... I’m scared of getting to 14/16 weeks and having to make a very tough decision... but I don’t want to risk handling the embryos more than necessary or risk a false abnormal getting thrown away which might have been ok...

@hopeful_mom I’m not looking forward to the transfer step - firstly ERs are becoming a kind of routine, but second you are only gaining things at that point whereas with transfers you can gain or lose... I’m going to need a new strategy for handling that...

@jamieh2000 I’m not really a Facebook user... these days Instagram is more my thing (also where my IF account is anonymous) but would be happy to add you if you’re on there? I’m not ready to be “out” like you, for which I think you are super brave

@capps42613 how did the gala go? It’s so great you’re still involved

@imajin99 oh come on ovaries, time to give you a good start! I hope the cysts resolve and next month is your month!

    @hopefuljj <3

@kp214 hope all is running smoothly with you

AFM yesterday was CD1 and today was baseline. My left ovary where we get the follicles each time looks like a bloody war has been going on there! It is scarred and pitted and I guess will be very happy if we make this our last ER cycle... I had two doctors and some residents all scan me, taking over 45 minutes this morning. I came away with more than 30 scan pictures... all because I agreed for them to use my leftover corpus luteum sites from last ER to show them if they don’t look closely enough they might think they are follicles or cysts... I felt like I could have taught the residents  :D
Luckily my E2 confirmed they were not functional cysts or follicles and with a super low FSH I’ve just done the first night of stims for round 8! We’re going MDL again so of course the Lupron too, and will add in HGH from tomorrow.
Not back for monitoring until Wednesday as all the last cycles were very slow at the start coming off the priming. Which is nice as it disrupts work a little less...
Not only my ovaries but I’m also ready for this to be the last one now. A couple more good embryos and I will be very very happy.

Fav Quote: The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return

  • @emmasemm Your poor ovaries!  I can imagine that you're ready to be done after 8 rounds!  That's great that your E2 is looking good :)  I went back and forth on PGS testing too.  On my first appointment with the RE, I was hell bent on getting it done...until I researched it more and she recommended that it wasn't for me.  One of the main reasons being that we didn't do banking.  Good luck with this cycle!  My clinic won't do the blood test early, so I caved this morning and called my family doc.  She'll give me a requisition to have blood drawn today so that I'll be able to get results tomorrow and hopefully see them rise on Monday.  I can't wait all weekend, it's too stressful.
  • @emmasemm Thank-you! Hoping you have the best last cycle, saving the best for last!  I can't even imagine going through that many cycles and you are an inspiration.

@bakerstreetboys Keeping my fingers crossed for you, so excited to hear your good news next week :)

@hopeful_mom Thank you. WW seems to be going well, I have always been heavier and hoping that even a little bit of change in weight will help with IF.  Plus being able to control something like my diet keeps me sane as I can't control the IF journey.

  • @emmasemm The ivf benefit was awesome! We were able to award 2 couples with a grant to pay their fertility clinic for their ivf bills. The couples and their families reactions were priceless!

@emmasemm - I hadn't seen an update from you on the T-TTC board, so I came hunting to see if you'd been active on any thread. I'm so so happy to see your update & that you have some good quality frozen blasts! FX for you!
  • Hello ladies.
@capps42613 I’m so glad the benefit was amazing!! What an amazing thing!!
@emmasemm round 8!  This is awesome, and yeah, you could def teach those residents!
@JamieH2000  a baby boooooy!!!! I am just so thrilled for you guys:). So so exciting!

I’m sorry I have been MIA.  I was trying to figure out next steps and doing loads of research.  A lovely woman and her husband who I am friends with over on Kindara  where I spend too much time, seriously offered to donate embryos to me which was the most touching gesture ever, so I added it to my spreadsheet of possible next steps.  And my husband agreed to go to the adoption conference with me in November which is in Brooklyn! So I’ve been busy trying to figure out all options and was starting to really feel great about figuring out how to become a mom:) but it felt so good to feel filled with hope again so I was just ridding it....I had gone to another consult too for this other RE...she said my amh was now .1.  I told her I was having delayed ovulation ever since I started treatment and she thought it was more likely premature ovarian failure...but I was like, nope...my body tries to ovulate for 10 days making my cycles now 38 days always.  So she  did a scan and confirmed I had recently ovulated (which I already knew) told me to come back on day 2-3 for FSH.   She told me to start DHEA and isinotol so I started those and because I just ovulated figured I would be back in like 11 days or less cuz I have never ever had a LP longer than 11 days.  When AF came though, it only stuck around for a day.  So I was like, great, I’m all sorts of broken. She was right.  I spotted for a few days and then nothing.  So I continued to live my life and went on this insane and aggressive hike yesterday and then before opening a bottle of wine to have with dinner I decided just for shits and giggles even though DH and I only even BD’d once, I’ll just take a cheapo test, and it was positive. WTF.  I have no other words. I’ve just been drinking the wine and going on crazy hikes and whatever so.....I have NO words.  Now I  know that this could easily turn out to be nothing but after never ever ever seeing a 2nd line aside from the one chemical with my first FET, it was hard not to be a little excited.
So went back to my regular clinic to get a blood draw to check my thyroid and it’s all good! And p4 is 20 and HCG 186 ?!!?!!!..... I mean....what....the...F?  How is this real life?  Anyway... remaining extremely cautious over here but also celebrating this miraculous Happening...this unicorn in the woods.  So that’s my update in a nutshell......I seriously have no words. Lol

    2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!

  • @hopefuljj Omg, that is amazing!  Such wonderful news!  My fingers and toes are crossed extra hard for you :)

@emmasemm I hope this cycle is going well for you and that you see great progress tomorrow.  You must be feeling all the feels about this being your last cycle.  Fx for more great embryos to freeze :)

Thank you for asking about me!  My second betas came back at 1667 yesterday, up from 318 on Friday, so I am cautiously optimistic.  I still have to wait another two weeks or more until the first ultrasound, so I am very anxious about that.

I hope everyone is having a great week!

  • @bakerstreetboys OMG lady!! Congratulations!!!!!! How fantastic!!!
    Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease
    Homozygous MTHFR Cr677
DOR - AMH  .27 High FSH (don't even know how high)

  • @hopefuljj Thank you!  I hope to see you on a BMB soon :)
