Monitoring today was not my best. In fact probably my worst. After 6 nights of stims I have E2 still under 50 LH super low Only one follicle at 8mm, maybe three others but maybe not as they are so damn tiny Two great big blotchy grey blobs on my left ovary which we assume are corpus luteum that haven’t broken down My fibroid has tripled in size in a week And my lining measured 4cm width with a 2cm Fluid pouch...
I was expecting to cancel, but after a second blood draw at lunchtime (bless the ladies at the lab who treat me like their long lost daughter) we will continue and scan again on Friday as the RE believes there could have been a reason why my body did not respond at all so far and why the corpus luteums hung around and my fibroid grew. But that should be “resolved” in the next days and maybe the whole cycle is not a complete bust.
So, we will see more on Friday!

@emmasemm I'm sorry that your monitoring appointment was so disappointing. It sounds like the doctor is still hopeful though, so fingers crossed that things kick into gear and look better on Friday!
AFM, my levels went up, which was reassuring. *TW however, I started spotting yesterday and have had a lot of pain on one side. They brought me in today (twice actually) for more blood work and u/s to make sure it wasn't ectopic. Hcg is still going up, but they could only see a gestational sac. I know rationally that it's too early to see anything else, but I'm still left feeling nervous. I'll go back next Tuesday for another ultrasound.
@emmasemm- Sorry for the disappointing monitoring I am hoping things can still turn around! Your body has been through alot, but hoping it has one more cycle in it! Then get that fibroid out and grow those embabies to day 5!!
@bakerstreetboys- Spotting is so scary! I had heavy spotting due to an SCH. Did they see anything like that? How far are you now? I went in at 5+5 and they only saw gestational and yolk sacs- no fetal pole or HB, even though alot of ladies see a fetal pole around then and a HB around 6 weeks. One of my babies turned out viable!

@JamieH2000 I remember your story! Has the SCH gone away? They didn't see a SCH with me, and I was only 4w6d at the scan, so they warned me in advance that they wouldn't see much. Hopefully they'll see a yolk sac next week.
@bakerstreetboys- Yes, my SCH went away sometime between 12 and 15 weeks! Quite a few ladies have had them, and so far I have only heard positive outcomes on here. Seeing only a gestational sac at 4+6 is just perfect! You wouldn't see more than that now and it means its NOT ectopic!

@bakerstreetboys I’m crossing everything for you lady! That all sounds very scary, but you are right I think it’s too early to see much else. Ugh, I wish this could ever just be easy:(. Hoping Tuesday brings much reassurance!
Thank you ladies for your kind words. I truly appreciate it. First beta at 1:30pm Monday was 186. Second beta at 8:30 am (43 hours later) Wednesday was 350 so it doubled. But only like exactly doubled, no more no less. They told me to schedule an OB scan for Nov 6 and I was like, “say what?!!! No I’ll be coming back Friday for another beta...thanks”. So that is the plan. I go back tomorrow at 8:15am. I am still in utter disbelief. No words. So much hope and fear all bundled up into one big feeling. So we shall see.
Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease Homozygous MTHFR Cr677 DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high) 2 iui's to start - BFN IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol Chemical pregnancy FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos 1st transfer - chemical pregnancy 2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
My second beta @48 hrs (10 dpt) didn't even totally double either (304 8dpt to 585 at 10 dpt) but all turned out well. I think a 3rd beta is a great idea though...my doctor kept checking betas until the HCG got over 5k (I had 304 at 8dpt, 585 at 10dpt, 2020 at 13 dpt and then over 5k at 16 dpt.)

@hopefuljj Doubling is awesome! That's great that you're going for betas again, it's reassuring to see the numbers go up. Hopeful_mom The spotting has stopped thankfully I have pain but not necessarily cramping...it's hard to explain. I have endo, so the RE thinks that it could be from the scar tissue getting irritated. I'm 5w1d today. I can't imagine spotting through half the pregnancy, how stressful! @emmasemm Thinking about you today and hoping that you have a great monitoring appointment!

So almost a year ago after our second failed IVF cycle I wrote a question on Beat Infertility and today it was answered on the podcast. Not only did Dr Rogers give perfect advice but the empathy she showed in her answer was truly heartwarming. I urge any of you to go listen to it - the podcast is on pituitary issues, but Dr Rogers answers some other questions first, mine is the second question asked. After a tough week, this was exactly what I needed to hear to remind me I am following the right path for me.
And AFM well we definitely have two follicles growing, no clue on two more if they will or won’t. But we’re keeping going over the weekend and check again Monday. We discussed and if we get cancelled we will still trigger and do TI - because there seems to be lots of magic unicorn dust around at the moment Plus my lining was trilaminar today for the first time in months!!!

Hi friends....my Beta did double again, now it’s up to 829 but My E2 went down from 208.5 to 198.3 and P4 went down from 22.91 to 17.28😱😱. Why?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m staring at my labs.....And having a panic attack.

Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.

Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal

But like, it is hard to trust that somehow my body is really going to do this on it’s own?!! I emailed her and she said it’s natural for them to fluctuate and she isn’t concerned so I’m trying to just ride the wave or whatever. Lol.

@emmasemm- I am not seeing dr rodgers right now but will at some point again! I am definitely going to listen to that episode! That is so exciting your question got on! She also has a Facebook page/blog called Destinarion Parenthood if you ever wanted to connect with her on there! She actually suggested I apply to be on the Beat Infertility podcast with my story so I will probably submit. She said unfortunately she has also of younger ladies in my situation so it would be a good story to share. You have to wait until 24 weeks which I am this week! So maybe eventually I’ll be a guest..
@hopefuljj- the E2 drop is very small and the levels do fluctuate. I had a similar progesterone drop actually (from 20s into the teens) and they weren’t concerned either. If you wanted, I have some extra crinone I would be happy to mail you! Maybe they could check one more tune for piece of mind?

I go back on Tuesday for another u/s where we are crossing everything that we see a yolk sac!

We just talked to the doctor and finally decided to cancel. I just wish we’d done it a week ago... We have one 20mm, a 14mm and a 6mm follicle. Will trigger to avoid an endless cycle, and of course we will give ourselves a chance with some unicorn dust ;-) though chances are super low as I also had my annual thyroid testing today - and TSH is down to 0.16... it’s always been above 0.8 before which was low but stable. Now I need an appointment with my family doctor to get some meds ASAP...
Biggest problem with my follicle development is the two blood and tissue filled sacks left over from last cycle. They have both stayed around 15mm and take up more than half of my left ovary... We’re hoping the trigger might “pop” them if not we might have to have them drained... and need to navigate the next cycle to avoid the annual lab closure...

@emmasemm I’m sorry about the canceled cycle:(. It’s so so frustrating. I truly hope the unicorn dust brings you a delightful surprise:) on my thyroid meds my thyroid dances between .1 - .8 and sometimes goes up as high as 1.5. They always say keeping it low is better than it being high so my Endo seems to think it’s fine?? I hope those two pesky sacks on your left ovary go AWAY! Thinking of you lady, I hate hate canceled cycles:-/

Hi everyone - . My AMH is super low (.03 in July, <.03 in August). I'm currently doing my first IVF cycle. On Monday I had two follicles (12mm, 10mm) and two smaller ones (8mm, 6mm) but today I just had one lone follicle. They were pushing on me trying to find the other one but didn't see it. The Dr said he would look around more at my retrieval scheduled for Saturday. I'm happy I have gotten to this point. Dr had recommended donor eggs and had said if this cycle didn't work that was it for me. I am glad I responded and will hopefully get to do another cycle.
Oops... but more worried that my other one will be missing too.
All of this is really new to me. We jumped right into IVF once I got the diagnosis doing the first cycle we could. Six months ago I could never have imagined this would be my reality. Some days I still can't. It seems so long ago and like yesterday both at the same time. I know the odds are stacked against me but I'm trying to stay positive and hope for the best.
My lone follicle was empty. Devastated. My RE has said no more cycles for me with him. I'm going to meet with him next week, but I don't expect his stance to change. Any recommendations for an RE who would work with low AMH? I am not ready to give up hope yet.

@emmasemm I hate seeing cancelled cycles especially so late in the game after having to go through the process it soooooo sux!!! I will say my cycle 8 didn’t bring me any normies so would it have been better for it to be cancelled....who knows. This whole process has such highs and lows!!! @ah80 welcome! So sorry ur ER didn’t go as expected! A diagnosis for low amh is hard but it doesn’t mean it’s over. I found this board in 2016 and read from the beginning up all night and I learned so much. I would say to rewind a bit and you can read through others stories and different protocols used that should certainly give u hope! Hang in there IF is a very tough unfair road for sure!!

Just shows u truly never know when the magic can happen!! I would never think to even try an iui after I had so many failed ones...amazing!

Monitoring today was not my best. In fact probably my worst. After 6 nights of stims I have

Only one follicle at 8mm, maybe three others but maybe not as they are so damn tiny
Two great big blotchy grey blobs on my left ovary which we assume are corpus luteum that haven’t broken down
My fibroid has tripled in size in a week
And my lining measured 4cm width with a 2cm Fluid pouch...
I was expecting to cancel, but after a second blood draw at lunchtime (bless the ladies at the lab who treat me like their long lost daughter) we will continue and scan again on Friday as the RE believes there could have been a reason why my body did not respond at all so far and why the corpus luteums hung around and my fibroid grew. But that should be “resolved” in the next days and maybe the whole cycle is not a complete bust.
So, we will see more on Friday!

@emmasemm I'm sorry that your monitoring appointment was so disappointing. It sounds like the doctor is still hopeful though, so fingers crossed that things kick into gear and look better on Friday!
AFM, my levels went up, which was reassuring. *TW however, I started spotting yesterday and have had a lot of pain on one side. They brought me in today (twice actually) for more blood work and u/s to make sure it wasn't ectopic. Hcg is still going up, but they could only see a gestational sac. I know rationally that it's too early to see anything else, but I'm still left feeling nervous. I'll go back next Tuesday for another ultrasound.
@bakerstreetboys- Spotting is so scary! I had heavy spotting due to an SCH. Did they see anything like that? How far are you now? I went in at 5+5 and they only saw gestational and yolk sacs- no fetal pole or HB, even though alot of ladies see a fetal pole around then and a HB around 6 weeks. One of my babies turned out viable!

Thank you ladies for your kind words. I truly appreciate it. First beta at 1:30pm Monday was 186. Second beta at 8:30 am (43 hours later) Wednesday was 350 so it doubled. But only like exactly doubled, no more no less. They told me to schedule an OB scan for Nov 6 and I was like, “say what?!!! No I’ll be coming back Friday for another beta...thanks”. So that is the plan. I go back tomorrow at 8:15am. I am still in utter disbelief. No words. So much hope and fear all bundled up into one big feeling. So we shall see.

IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal
IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5
IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol

Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos
1st transfer - chemical pregnancy
2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!

My second beta @48 hrs (10 dpt) didn't even totally double either (304 8dpt to 585 at 10 dpt) but all turned out well. I think a 3rd beta is a great idea though...my doctor kept checking betas until the HCG got over 5k (I had 304 at 8dpt, 585 at 10dpt, 2020 at 13 dpt and then over 5k at 16 dpt.)
Summer 2015 - no BFP yet, labs normal, referred to RE
Fall 2015 - Summer 2016 - Further testing all normal. 3 IUI's -- BFN. Recommended move to IVF. Planned cycle for fall 2016.
September 2016 - Surprise natural BFP. MMC @ 8 weeks. RE expressed confidence that we just needed the 'right' embryo.

So almost a year ago after our second failed IVF cycle I wrote a question on Beat Infertility and today it was answered on the podcast. Not only did Dr Rogers give perfect advice but the empathy she showed in her answer was truly heartwarming. I urge any of you to go listen to it - the podcast is on pituitary issues, but Dr Rogers answers some other questions first, mine is the second question asked.
After a tough week, this was exactly what I needed to hear to remind me I am following the right path for me.
And AFM well we definitely have two follicles growing, no clue on two more if they will or won’t. But we’re keeping going over the weekend and check again Monday. We discussed and if we get cancelled we will still trigger and do TI - because there seems to be lots of magic unicorn dust around at the moment

RE isn’t giving me anything since this was just a random natural pregnancy and she says my progesterone looks fine. But like, it is hard to trust that somehow my body is really going to do this on it’s own?!! I emailed her and she said it’s natural for them to fluctuate and she isn’t concerned so I’m trying to just ride the wave or whatever. Lol.

@hopefuljj- the E2 drop is very small and the levels do fluctuate. I had a similar progesterone drop actually (from 20s into the teens) and they weren’t concerned either. If you wanted, I have some extra crinone I would be happy to mail you! Maybe they could check one more tune for piece of mind?

We just talked to the doctor and finally decided to cancel.
I just wish we’d done it a week ago...
We have one 20mm, a 14mm and a 6mm follicle.
Will trigger to avoid an endless cycle, and of course we will give ourselves a chance with some unicorn dust ;-) though chances are super low as I also had my annual thyroid testing today - and TSH is down to 0.16... it’s always been above 0.8 before which was low but stable. Now I need an appointment with my family doctor to get some meds ASAP...
Biggest problem with my follicle development is the two blood and tissue filled sacks left over from last cycle. They have both stayed around 15mm and take up more than half of my left ovary... We’re hoping the trigger might “pop” them if not we might have to have them drained... and need to navigate the next cycle to avoid the annual lab closure...

All of this is really new to me. We jumped right into IVF once I got the diagnosis doing the first cycle we could. Six months ago I could never have imagined this would be my reality. Some days I still can't. It seems so long ago and like yesterday both at the same time. I know the odds are stacked against me but I'm trying to stay positive and hope for the best.

@ah80 welcome! So sorry ur ER didn’t go as expected! A diagnosis for low amh is hard but it doesn’t mean it’s over. I found this board in 2016 and read from the beginning up all night and I learned so much. I would say to rewind a bit and you can read through others stories and different protocols used that should certainly give u hope! Hang in there IF is a very tough unfair road for sure!!

Just shows u truly never know when the magic can happen!! I would never think to even try an iui after I had so many failed ones...amazing!
