@Hopeful_mom. Im sorry you are so uncomfortable and in so much pain. I feel ya girl!  Hopefully baby drops soon and takes that pressure off your right boob.  Almost there girl, sounds like we might be delivering around the exact same time!  How cool if its the same day!  
Thanks about my hair, ya, its pretty much all grown out.  I got a terrible hair cut where she cut short layers all around the crown of my head and that's why I had to have it all pulled back for the photo shoot, it looks weird down.  But she got most of the dye out so now I am never cutting it again!  I want to grow it back long like Ive always had it.  And no, I haven't gotten the Tdap and don't plan on it. Ive had quite a few bad reactions to vaccines, so I no longer get them.  If you look up statistics for the incidence of whooping cough in the USA right now, its incredibly low, so the chance of getting it is pretty much nil, so Im not too worried about it.

@andreamm31 I hear ya with he hair! Had an awful layered job as a kid and have had it on the long side eversince! I never think it’s long enough  It’s been in a bun for the longest and then I realized it gets caught in everything so trim time it was!!   For my last pregnancy I actually didn’t get the tdap till I was in the hospital and gave birth....definitely nervous of introducing anything new! I can’t believe how much sleep my body wants right now...I went from feeling fine, to are we there yet!  I have a feeling we shall be super close in birthdates, very exciting!!! I tried pming u did it go through?

@Hopeful_mom No, I didnt get a PM!  Weird!  Im feeling that way too.  I definetly look like a 40 week preggo person and I have 4 weeks to go.  lord help my poor body.   Im sleeping as much as I can....night time sleep is sooo rough, but naps really go a long way.  I think im in a major growth spurt because all I want to do is sleep.  We are almost there!

I think the tdap is nice but I didn't get mine until after babies were born because they were both early (I think I was scheduled to get it at 36 weeks and never made it that far either time). BUT all of my family and myself also work in pediatrics and round in the pediatric units at hospitals so I think the risk of transmission is probably higher.  We are also in a very low vaccination area with alot of international exposure. When DD1 was born, I had to schedule her first visit to her doc (colleague in my practice) around a potential measles case!

AFM: Had a transfer of 1 embryo on Tuesday and tested this morning on FRER and no 2nd line   I know its a bit early but other times I tested positive on Day 4  & today is Day 6.  This is the hardest wait yet. Beta is not until Friday and I am out of tests now and refuse to buy more (....I hope).

@lmajin99 Don't give up hope!  I feel like the FRER are just not as sensitive as they used to be.  I definetly agree with not buying any more and just wait for your beta.  This pregnancy, I didnt test at all because I felt like it was such a mind fu*# with my previous pregnancies and the FRER would be negative early like day 6 but by 8 I would get a faint one and I would over analyze and it drove me crazy.  Keep the faith girl!

@lmajin99. I think that's a good idea as your hormones will be all primed and ready to go .  That's how I decided on 2, I'd just had so many losses and failed transfers that I wanted to give myself more coin flips, more chances.   And still only 1 stuck (although it split into 3), and @ladyp0tter also put 2 in and only had 1 stick.

@andreamm31 Thank-you. Yes, those are good points and both of you had PGS tested as well and these are not.  Hubby still not completely on board but I keep reminding it that we are not doing it with the goal of two its just to increase the odds of at least 1 sticking and making it to the end.

@Imajin99 I forgot that youre not dealing with pgs testing, I think trying for 2 really does make sense for this next round.  I was always full steam ahead unless I was forced to stop, no reason for it not to take.  Where are you in your cycle?

AFM: TW**pregnancy mention along with a trip to the hospital...

Obviously the bigger you get the more exhausted you become.  Started with a headache that persisited and didn't go away with just tylenol, as time continued my lower back pain continued to hurt no matter what position I would try to get into and then cramping in my legs had begun.  I was in just so much pain and ruled out covid that I called my dr. and it was time to take a trip to the hospital.  I was serverly dehydrayted and the babies heart was elevated so I had to be admitted for futher observation.  The pain became upbearable and I was just crying through the night, I really felt like my body was starting to reject the baby, but because I wasn't 37 weeks at the time they really didn't want to deliver unless it was life threatening.  Had to rule out every dangerous thing you could think of so there were scary moments for sure.  Its crazy how many times they kept taking blood and US to rule out everything.... I was glad I was being closely watched but I just wanted to deliver already.  Luckily things started to improve after many bags of fluids...and I will add the previous night before I went in I mustve pee'd through the night that I was so surprised I was dehydrated and the issues it can cause OMG!!  So here I am week 37 with many more appts to go to.    Talk about being in the home stretch, I'm not really ready per say BUT I'm ready!!

@hopeful_mom  That sounds so scary and horrible.  Its crazy what dehydration can do to you.  Im so happy to hear that you and baby are ok, but I think it was so smart you went in to get checked out.  Hopefully this is the last big obstacle before your baby gets here.

@lmajin99 thanks for thinking of me.  Im soooooo uncomfortable and in so much pain.  Its so hard and Im so over it.  I am so grateful to be pregnant with my miracle babies, but I am so over it.  I don't know how I am going to make it 11 more days.  My skin feels like its stretched as far as it can go and my back is so painful.  Ive been seeing the chiropractor and getting massages and epsom salt baths....but nothing really keeps it from going back to being a mess again.  I cant get comfortable in any position and Charlotte has a foot permanently kicked into my right ribs and Lily is crowding her sister so my right side has so much pressure as they both are on that side.  Like stretch out girls and give each other some space....geesh.   My last MFM appt on Tuesday, the girls are doing great.  Lily is 4lbs 9 oz and Charlotte is 3lbs 15 oz.  They are in doing really well and pass their twice weekly NSTs every time.  Today we could see them both on the right side and im like, that's why im in so much pain.  Im just done.    Tonight, I asked hubby to massage my back a little and 2 minutes in, he starts complaining that his thumbs hurt and gives up and I kinda lost it, like WTF! im in pain 24/7 and you want to complain about 2 minutes of using your thumbs to massage my back?  Im just so annoyed, he just doesn't get it.  And why do guys suck at massages??  ughhhhhh, im a mess.  I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I honestly didnt anticipate how hard it would be with both of them in here and how much pain Id be in.  Sorry for the vent session.  Thanks for listening ladies

I’m so glad you and the babies are doing well.  They have really gotten so big it’s great but also so hard on your tiny body! How many weeks are you now? 
I keep getting only 2 weeks but it’s like you don’t want to go another minute! I 100% get your pain, it’s all on my right side too, it’s relentless!! 
Always remember if men had to carry the ladies the population would be non existent! It’s so sad!

All fine on my end, jumped into the cycle and had a lining check yesterday.  Ready to go ahead with the transfer late next week. Pretty much set my mind on the transfer of 2 but have to send the signed paperwork on Monday to make it official.

I've never had twins and I was done by 32 weeks with both of my girls! I could hardly eat more than a few bites at a time (and it seemed even looking at food gave me wicked -you can't sleep- heartburn); I felt so massive and uncomfortable + typical aches and pains. I think it sometimes feels even longer for those of us who have been through transfers/etc because it's really a massive process from day 1 and most other folks don't notice until closer to the end of the first month/beginning of the second at the very earliest. So don't feel guilty; I think it's totally normal! I still am crazy excited for you

@mbradfo2 thanks girl!  I appreciate it.  I was in an epsom salt bath today and my breakfast regurgitated while I was in like a meditative state and I aspirated it and started choking and had to sit up abruptly (which we know is near impossible) to cough it out.  Fun times grrrrrrrrrr

@lmajin99 I think you are doing the right thing.  Esp with this last one not working out.  Keeping my fingers crossed for you. I want this so bad for you!

Hi, I'm new here but just wanted to ask a question about some things that a fertility Dr. recently told me in an appointment that I found confusing compared to what I've read on here and elsewhere online. I have low AMH level (I'm 33 and it's .62), and he told me that this has nothing to do with infertility or my chances of getting pregnant, and that this has no relationship to egg quality. He also said that since I've been trying for a year with no success yet, that my chances of getting pregnant are 2%. Do either of these things ring true to you all? Just starting out in the fertility struggles journey and wanted to see if anyone had thoughts about this.

@salem61379. Welcome!! I don't know if I'm the right person to comment on this as I personally have a very low AMH (0.26) and I had terrible egg quality, evidenced by 3 unsuccessful rounds of IVF and 5 natural pregnancies all ending in miscarriages before 11 weeks.   I eventually moved on to donor eggs and will be having my identical twin girls next week.   There are quite a few women still on this thread who have done donor eggs and some who had success with their own eggs.  From what I have seen on this forum and others I am on,  that you have age going for you.    I started my journey at 37 and now almost 41.  And low AMH does not necessarily mean poor egg quality.  The only way you will know is by working with a fertility specialist and getting everything checked out and figure a plan from there.  Many women (myself included) was able to get pregnant with a severely low AMH, my problem was just quality, and quantity.  I'm sorry your doctor doesn't sound very supportive or hopeful, maybe finding someone who is more supportive and hopeful is what you need.   Hopefully some of the other girls who were successful with an AMH around your level can help alleviate your fears.   But there really is sooooo much more to fertility than just an AMH level.  Good luck girl

Hello @salem61379 I am sorry you find yourself here.  It is true that AMH being low doesn’t necessarily mean you have bad quality but for many of us, after trying for X amount of time and then finding out we have low AMH for us it does end up being that our egg count is low AND quality low too.  My older sister had 2 kids both on the first time trying (eyeeeee roll) and she would never have known of her crazy low AMH if she hadn’t asked to be tested  after having her first kid when she wanted to see if she would qualify to donate eggs for me (she’s the bestest sister ever).  Well turns out she had very low reserve too but in her case it didn’t matter but women with low egg reserve usually do not respond well to IVF so there was no point putting all that money that we didn’t even have towards paying for her to go through an IVF egg retrieval when she was over 35 and had such a low reserve.   in retrospect I am unbelievably grateful for her crappy reserve because if I had used her eggs, I would not have my amazing perfect wonderful  little  toddler daughter that I have today thanks to a wonderful woman who donated for me.  That being said after hanging out for 4 years during my infertility journey, I have met MANY women who beat the odds with low AMH.  One who after 2 years of trying and multiple failed IVF and IUI rounds, got pregnant naturally, had her daughter and then got pregnant with her 2nd naturally and has another brand new daughter now.   I have also seen women have success with IVF as well and with IUI with very low AMH, so it’s very hard to know what the rest of your journey will look like.    Having tried for a year and also having the low reserve does mean that your chances of getting pregnant are less but odds work in both ways, it just depends which side of the odds you fall on.  I hope this was somehow helpful.  Please know that you can visit more than one fertility doctor to find someone you like, and finding one that specializes in low AMH protocols or handlings is definitely best. (Oh and get your partners sperm checked ASAP if you haven’t already, so easy to do, in my case his wasn’t great so we had issues on both sides which made natural conception really not likely although I did fall pregnant naturally by some miracle after my final failed IVF but miscarried after 8 weeks so must not have been a great egg or sperm or combo)    Best of luck to you.

@salem61379 hi and welcome! Sorry you find yourself here but you’ve got some very knowledgeable ladies here! As some have said before, for some low Amh just means you don’t have all the time in the world and need to get on it.  Egg quality is huge and 33 should mean that you have age on your side and hopefully odds are you should be able to use your own eggs.  Every journey is different and you need to find a dr the you’re comfortable with and has the confidence and knowledge To go on the journey with you.  
I wasted time with IUI and maybe would’ve gotten more eggs if I started sooner but I’ll neber know.  I will say I probably started the ivf process 38/39 and my history in the spoiler will show I did many cycles, some good and some not so good BUT In the end I was able to use my own eggs. I actually looked into embryo adoption as I was running low but so far so good. Oh and I will add that I did a fresh transfer where I miscarried twins before my second trimester, so all my ivf retreivals of banking embryos was first done after that loss which gave me and is giving me my miracles. So cool if my lil one will surprise me and want to get the show on the road.  My dr basically said in thisnlast week we have had no movement and I’m still just 1 cm  not thrilled with that at all!  I can only imagine the pain you’re in as I’m a mess.  Did my dm go through this time?

So my dr appt have become a full time job 3x a week, the baby keeps acting wonky during the stress tests so I always feel like they’ll be sending me to the hospital.  I have to say since my hospital stay I’m just not the same and am super uncomfortable.  I believe I had some contractions the other night but they’re so far apart it didn’t matter   The baby is healthy and that’s most important but I think it makes me
nervous as we continue cause you just don’t want anything going wrong at this point, finally counting down the last week unless something decides to happen soon woohoo!!

@hopeful_mom.  Sounds like you are in the home stretch.  I hope your little peanut keeps cooperating with your NSTs.  Today is my last one!  We got this girl.  Almost there.  I got my steroid shot on Tuesday and Wednesday and I got a massage on the same day and fingers crossed, but I think the combo really helped my back pain, so Im feeling a smidgen better than I was feeling painwise.  I got your DM and wrote you back!

BIG UPDATE!!!

We had our nonstress test today and Charlotte wasn't cooperating, not moving much,  no HR variability and some fluid around liver, so they delivered my angels this afternoon at 409pm and 411pm.  Charlotte baby A is 4lbs 4 Oz and lily Baby B was 4lbs 10 oz..  Both are doing AMAZING!! Im 34 weeks 1 day and they are on no oxygen, vitals very stable.  I got to hold them tonight and they are the sweetest little angels.  I hemorrhaged post up and lost 1.8 liters of blood,  but my badass nurse was so on top of it and I'm doing better now.  I way pretty scared and bummed I couldn't keep them in longer,  but so grateful they are both doing so well.

So we went in yesterday for the transfer and I am PUPO with two embies.  Everything went smooth and one was hatching.  Honestly not even sure the difference of natural hatching and assisted hatching.  Keep you all posted and hope this TWW doesn't drive me insane.

Baby Girls are doing soooo good.  They are now 34 weeks 4 days.  They were downgraded to step-down NICU after 24 hours.  We still have a long way to go with them learning to eat and grow.  We are only losing a tiny amount at this point, like 5 grams a day, so I think we are gonna start gaining weight from here on out.  They have feeding tubes and stamina is tough right now.  But they are such fighters.  They are also just ridiculous cute and sound like little mice with their little noises, cant believe how in love I am with these little peanuts.  Charlotte is 3lbs 15 oz and lily is 4 lbs 4oz.  I think we have at least 2 weeks in NICU.  Also, I finally had the courage to ask to see the picture of our acardiac fetus and I was shocked at how BIG it was.  No wonder I was so huge.  Its very wild to see and to believe this continued to grow inside me.  I will post another spoiler box if you guys want to see it.    But here are some pics of my little peanuts. Top is Lily(baby , charlotte is baby A bottom.  Both from tonight. Clear to see they are pretty dang identical.  Lord help me!! Haha. It's so surreal, I can't believe after everything I have been through,  that they are real and here and safe and thriving.  Could not have gotten through this journey without all of you ladies, you have been my rocks and I'm FOREVER grateful for the love and support the past 3.5 years .

Had my beta yesterday and it was 190! Go back on Friday for the 2nd beta.  Cautiously optimistic.  Had a bit of a stressful weekend as have had some spotting but they indicated that is normal which I know and have had before but never easy when you see it first time.  My protocol includes Fragmin & Baby Aspirin and can make it look worse than it is.  Thanks for the support everyone and keep praying for me.

update for me:

We are on day 20 in the NICU.  The girls are still dealing with premature brains that make suck, swallow, breathe still a difficult task.  They are 36 weeks 6 days.  They occasionally desaturate and drop their Heart rates while eating.  They also get tired quite easily so half of their feeds go down their feeding tubes.  So we are waiting for them to consistently eat all their bottles without getting too tired so they can pull their tubes and then we would be a few days of watching them after that before they can go home.  I knew NICU would be hard, but I honestly had no idea it would be this hard.  I cant hold my babies whenever I want or it will tire them out.  We have to let them rest.  We get to do 3 feedings a day and I breastfeed once a day.  Im having trouble getting a supply of milk because I cant do skin to skin as much as I want to and I don't have them home with me.   I should be making like 750ml -1000ml a day and Im making like 450-550ml a day.  So its very frustrating that I cant make enough or them and I've tried all the things and working with lactation consultant.  Having my acupuncturist send me Chinese herbs that he says is his tried and true formula to get milk supply up.  My husband is having some mental health struggles with all of this and his crippling anxiety has made this whole journey even harder.  And now he is getting very antsy with the long stay and is on this mission to get them to finish every bottle and doesn't think I am trying hard enough to get them to finish so he has been judging my feeding and insinuating im not doing good enough.  Ive talked to him about this and his pushing them and me is unsafe as I stop feeding them when they have events or are dead asleep, as in I just cant wake them up to drink anymore or we hit the 30 minute mark where we have to stop.  Its so much pressure and frustrating. I have therapy this morning to discuss and scheduling our next joint session to talk about this issue because we have to go at the girls pace, not ours.   They will let us know when they are ready to go home and I don't want to take them home too early before we are truly ready or we will end up back in the hospital.  I also feel slightly jaded that after all of my struggles, my 7 miscarriages, losing my genetic tie to children, losing baby C, having such a scary pregnancy, having a sudden urgent delivery and I finally have my babies only to have to rely on a hospital to take care of them and I cant be with them for the first 3-4 weeks of their life,  Will this impact them in the future?  I just wish I could have had my babies and gone home immediately with them to bond, but that just wasnt our journey and it sucks.  I miss them so much when im not with them and I do feel like bonding with them as been altered and I feel slightly disconnected and I hate that.  ok rant over.

i am so sorry you are currently having such a challenging go at things.   Don’t even get me started on how challenging breastfeeding can be, especially when you add in medical complications for you or them or both!!!   Fed is best, and I wish I had not spent so long being so frustrated trying to make it happen. If I ever see another breast pump again I might scream. 

Your girls and you will have plenty of time to bond. I was out of my mind on a magnesium drip after a traumatic birth and very much felt disconnected for some time so I can only imagine how you must feel but I promise you this will all be just a distant memory soon. It will feel like a weird dream.   Hang in there and keep up with the therapy, i so hope your husband calms down and realizes he needs to follow their lead but I swear men are often just not great when it comes to newborns.  Just my personal experiences anyway!

Hi ladies! This site and my phone are like oil and water right now, been trying to update with no success  it’s been like one long day even though it’s been two weeks since my lil sweet pea arrived!!

@andreamm31  I’m thrilled the girls are so amazingly strong and thriving! Let them continue to keep progressing where you get to take  them home ASAP!!I know it’s hard but try to know the girls are in the best spot possible right now.  With covid protocols the hospital throws you out way too soon.  I was discarded i mean discharged on Sunday and was in the ER with him the next day cause he really needed to be watched after longer. Sounds like you’re making a great amount of milk! I know it’s so easy to beat ourselves up but let’s remember your body came through and kept your girls safe even with all the extra complications you had.  I often find myself beating my body up, I’m frustrated I still have to supplement but Fed is best no matter how it comes! When I pump I’m lucky if I make 2 oz at a time and that’s after quite a bit of pumping. Mine had a tongue tie so he killed me even more and I cried so in the beginning from it. He said so lazy that he doesn’t even get it all out and neither does the pump.  It’s a crazy cycle but I try to keep at it.

AFM: Baby Boy has finally arrived! After needing to be induced and hours of labor my boy turned sunny side up the my daughter did too....which meant sitting thing more hours of labor trying to get him turned back around so I wouldn’t need a c section.  When you go through so many hrs of labor you want to go natural because you suffered so long already. It was an Extremely long experience. I was Very sore and exhausted with a few hiccups but we're both managing better now thank gd.  When I have more time and energy I will give the details if you like....it’s taken hrs just to post this! It’s been a very crazy, scary and emotional time! I feel like my body was hit by a truck and Im still swollen.  I feel like I’m first starting to feel like myself.  Baby boy swallowed a lil too much aminiotic fluid and had a hard time keeping anything down, he probably should’ve been in the nicu for a few even though they didn’t think it was necessary.  Again with covid protocols things are done differently and I waited too long for a dr to check him over and he needed lots of suctioning! He lost a bunch of weight as many do but in the end his Billrubin got too high and that’s what brought us to the ER.  Too bad drs didn’t listen to me the first time and give us the light therapy to try to help avoid the stress and trauma of an ER visit.  It’s now been 2 weeks and thank gd he is doing great.  His bris had to be postponed previously but we did just complete it, so now dealing with the healing and aftermath of that, ouch!!
