I've been having those kinds of pains too, @maggiemadeit, but I'd chalked it up to my daily ab workout of dry heaving. But I have also had more stretching and growing pains as my bump is starting to poke out too, so I agree it could just be stretchy pain from that.
@maggiemadeit@ashley14598@lovesclimbing Thank you so much for posting about this! I hit 13 weeks this morning and had cramps early this morning and it really freaked me out. The cramps went from light and annoying then I sneezed and it was pretty sharp and kinda held for a sec or two. It my first and I was sitting on the side of my bed thinking "what in the world was that" lol
@KatieJo1205@lindseyb918 Yesss my OB said the same thing which I hadn’t thought about prior so it was interesting to hear! And so far, I’d say it’s true!! He also said that as I stretch it will feel very different since I had to have a c section with my first.
Well, technically, if you divide 40 weeks in a pregnancy by 3, you get 13.3. Personally, to make it easy, I consider second tri to start at 13 and a half weeks.
Has anyone else found anything to help with vaginal discharge? I have read panty liners, but it concerns me bc i don't want excess moisture down there all day to give me a yeast infection, but at the same time, the discharge is kind of the same. are liners ok? or any other tips? I am tired of feeling like i am ruining my underwear! its gross LOL.
@zionsmama85 I find panty liners absorb and it doesn’t feel uncomfortable. You could always change it throughout the day if it did feel wet, bonus of using liners over just undies.

@zionsmama85 This just started really kicking up for me this week, and my last pregnancy I remember I just felt damp all the time. I bought new underwear, all cotton, and changed liners several times a day. I also go commando while sleeping to let it all air out at night.
@meggyme I was || close to saying that lol. I’m sweating so much I honestly don’t know how much is sweat vs something else.

So this is my 12 week profile ultrasound and it's a tad bit blurry. I'm having a hard time viewing my baby's face. And it looks like the baby's tongue is sticking out? If anyone can help that'd be great!
i've seen people post about round ligament pain before and i think i'm finally starting to experience this now. i'm 14 weeks tomorow. i'm having a dull throbbing (especially when i move around like getting into and out of the car for example) about 3 inches below my belly button. DH and i finally started having sex again because i was too much of a wuss to do so in my first trimester (cue the eye rolls) so i'm thinking that could be a part of it too? anywho just thought i'd see if anyone else is experiencing this!
I've eaten raw honey multiple times this pregnancy. I didn't realize it was off limits? Not that I obey the "limits" anyway, haha. I drank raw milk last pregnancy.
@Kenneylynn3 I think you are free to start whatever thread you want! By j’y understanding, that meets the requirements because it doesn’t apply to just you.

So I'm 14.5 weeks, and I think I may have felt quickening last night? It seems really early--I'm reading most people don't feel anything until at least 16 weeks, more typically 18-25. But last night I was lying in bed and I felt... kind of like gas bubbles moving or popping, but toward the front of my belly, and between my belly button and crotch. Has anyone else felt quickening that early, or know if it's possible? I asked my friend who's worked as a neonatal nurse, and she said you don't feel kicks til way later, but it's possible to feel the "bubbles" feeling this early.
@booksiscute It's definitely possible. I've felt it a few times in the last couple of weeks. They say it's easier with subsequent pregnancies because you know what it feels like. I always described it as what I imagine it would feel like to have a live goldfish in there. True kicks definitely come later, but feeling some movement now is completely possible. It also depends on where your placenta is with how early you'll feel movement.
I’m having so much back pain. It feels like my back constantly needs to be cracked, but doesn’t do anything when I stretch. Have you gotten any relief from anything?
@taramann11 I'm having the same isssue and plan on making an appointment with my chiropractor soon. During my first pregnancy my chiropractor was able to provide a lot of relief!
@booksiscute I'm 14 weeks tomorrow and have been experiencing similar bubbles/movement. Specifically at the front of my belly between my belly button and crotch, like you. At first I was chalking it up to gas just feeling different during pregnancy... but today I wasn't so sure. It's quite pronounced and not faint like gas tends to be. It's a bit jarring. Hmm. This is my 2nd so you think I'd know, but with DD I had an anterior placenta so didn't feel movement until later in my pregnancy. With this pg I've been told I have a posterior placenta and it's my 2nd baby so I should expect to feel movement sooner. This still seems soon, but who knows? I just can't wait for little kicks
@taramann11 I’m also having a lot of back pain, but for me it’s down low, just above my butt cheeks. I lie on a tennis ball to massage it.
Last pregnancy I had to crack my back a lot. I’d lean backwards over the arm of a soft chair or the arm of my couch. (Like doing a backbend with half my body supported by the furniture and the other half hanging limp.) This was the only trick I found besides going to my chiropractor. Good luck to you!
@booksiscute How exciting! I thought I felt some movement at exactly 13weeks but was doubtful because I've read its way too early, especially for a first pregnancy and with a tilted uterus. I've made a habit of lying still and trying to feel movement, and of course felt nothing but gas bubbles. But this one caught me off guard b/c I was completely preoccupied with something else when I suddenly had a very strong "butterflies in stomach" feeling. When I told my husband about it, he said it must be the baby b/c he wasn't in the room to give much such an effect . I felt it again that night (actually roused me from sleep), but nothing since then so maybe it was something else...can't wait for when we feel movement and are certain it's baby
Ok, I don't know what to make of this. I was walking home from my haircut today, and for about 5 minutes of my walk, it literally felt like my nipples were on fire- like literally so bad that I felt like I was going to cry. Nothing was rubbing, I had a comfy bra on; I don't really understand what would have made this happen...it came on and then stopped without any indication as to why...just weird, but wondering if anyone else has experienced this and has insight? It hurt like heck, and I just want to know if there's anything I can do to prevent/avoid it happening again?
@lucysmom2016 I had the same problem today. Granted it was only one of mine, not both. But it left as quickly as it came on. No answers, just wanted to saw you aren't alone.
Having very bad leg pain esp. calves. Have been putting electric heating pad around calves areaand it helps for sometime but if anyone has any other remedies?
Okay... So I'm dealing with a new symptom which is extremely unpleasant and I don't think I've read anybody else talking about. But hemorrhoids... Ugh! I have never experienced this in my life but I woke up in the middle of the night with itching (you can guess where) and there was blood when I wiped this morning.
I read that hemorrhoids are more common in the first or third trimester because of constipation or pressure from the baby, respectively, but I'm 15 weeks and have had no issues with constipation during this pregnancy and have also had healthy weight gain. I also read that it can just be due to increased blood flow and progesterone.. But this was really not something I was anticipating at all!
I feel like everytime I experience something weird and think "hm, there's no way this could be related to pregnancy" I google it and read "This condition is more common in pregnant women". I'm learning so much as I go through this process and read about pregnancy and childbirth and breastfeeding and I'm amazed that every mother has gone through these things! I'm just a little upset with my body at the moment...
Has anyone else dealt with this or know if they clear up or if this will just be the rest of my pregnancy?
Re: Question? Need help? ***POST HERE***
I always thought of 12 weeks as being that dividing line between first and second tri, but apparently not!
