What have you nicknamed your baby?  Ours is "bunner", after a vegan bakeshop we use. :p

  • @cass06_07 we call it Padawan. I love Star Wars and they’re Jedis in training. Granted they’re not babies but whatever. I’m kind of judging myself for this as I type

@kayjay44 - WHY YOU SO PERFECTTTT? And. I feel you girl. I’ve got a serious bump happening these days and it’s bananas to me (4th pregnancy & 3TM explains it... but still...).

    @cass06_07  - B3 (for baby 3) or treś. We’re pretty original.

  • Uh, I haven’t even come up with anything more than “this one”.  :|
  • My husband is working a wine tasting right now and I’m literally salivating over the descriptions. I think I would chop off a finger, Handmaids Tale style, for a “crisp, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with hints of pear and green apple”

We make jokes that its in there chillaxin on a hammock smoking a cigar feet crossed while in feeling like im about to barf.  We might be over the top  :D
  • Who do need to blame for making the knock off Olive Garden 5 Cheese Ziti IP recipe? Is it you @kayjay44?! Just tossed it in the IP and I’m dying.

And because I’m feeling like an overachiever tonight, I made a batch of homemade chicken cutlets. I CANNOT WAIT TO STUFF MY FACE!

@kayjay44 and @PurplePoppy424 you're both so cute!! I hope I have a little more time as a ftm but I'm also super excited to show.

We found out when it was the size of a poppy seed and Poppy has stuck.

I'd do a lot for a nice beer or glass of wine, sitting on my porch...
  • @kayjay44 I just made the creamy ziti IP recipe you shared and YUM! It seriously was delish!  Thanks for sharing. Everyone enjoyed it.

  • God, I love my Instant Pot.
  • God, I love my Instant Pot.
Yes! Made deliciously tender pulled pork yesterday. It never fails to amaze me with its’ awesomeness.
  • I’m glad you all liked it! I had a lake day with my colleagues and I’m fucking dead and sunburned.

  • @kayjay44 Oh no!! Sorry about the sunburn. I literally get a sunburn every time I'm in the sun. I'd have to bathe in sunscreen to avoid it I think.   :#
  • Nothing says welcome back from vacation quite like a good morning barf and dry heave. -_-
  • Uh, I haven’t even come up with anything more than “this one”.  :|
I’m with you. I was calling it “it” for a while until we learned there are two, not its “these” ha.  Very creative over here.

I realy have been contemplating buying an instapot. That ziti looks fucking delicious. All in all, is the instapot all its cracked up to be? Worth the money? I think Ill need something like it for when “these” come.
  • @cali1710 - it’s amazing and better than my crockpot alone (which we got rid of). We don’t use it as much in the summer but use it constantly in the winter.

  • @kayjay44 does it really cook a nice tender roast in 30 min?
  • @notthecheat sorry about the barfing. How was vacation otherwise?
  • @cali1710 depends on the weight but yes. And a whole chicken in 22 minutes.

  • @kayjay44 sold. Thanks!
  • Another vote of HELL YES to the IP. We use it at least once a week. Knock off Chipotle rice is a fav. Love making big batches of hard boiled eggs. Taco chicken. Made a cobbler in it a few weeks ago.

  • Another vote in favor of the instant pot over here. I absolutely love mine.
  • Yup another vote for the IP - makes awesome HB eggs too lol

  • A big roast takes more like an hour but it’s like butter, and I mean, an hour?! I use mine a lot. Even for little things like pasta for pasta salad. 3 minutes after it reaches pressure, don’t have to stir it. I do rice, beans, carnitas, riblets, soups and stews in the winter. There’s super easy macaroni and cheese that I think I’m making for lunch now..
  • I cook now basically because of the IP. I seriously basically never cooked before. I've done a whole "rotisserie" chicken.  I make Indian food that, to my Caucasian palate so ya know but still, tastes amazing.  We do most everything in there. We pressure cook instead of hard boil a dozen eggs a week which are the best textured "hard boiled" eggs i have ever eaten.  I am like an ad for that thing!
  • I also really love the yogurt making function on my instant pot. I never ever had any interest in making my own yogurt before I got the IP. Actually, I never really liked yogurt before I got the IP. But the yogurt I make in the IP is soooo much better than what I can get in a store, for soooo much less money, and it's absurdly easy to make. I do it once or twice a week now.
  • Y’all have all but convinced me to get an IP.
  • I dig that idea, @bleucheeznwine

  • I swear to god the next person who buys my kid a vtech or leapfrog toy is getting karate chopped in the neck. I hate them so much. They’re all getting rounded up and taken straight to the dumpster tonight.
  • @madreofdragons so did you literally put everything in the pot together and turn it on? That looks fantastic.
  • Yeah @madreofdragons I’d love the recipe for that.

@bleucheeznwine I love the idea of a pinned post!
  • No @cali1710 just pasta and water at first, then you mix the other ingredients in while it’s still hot. Pressure cooking milk curdles it. Still super easy!
  • some recipes basically yeah. Ones with meat you brown in the pot and then add everything else and go. It's pretty wild.
  • Kid friendly mac and cheese. No neon orange. Pasta. Milk. Butter. Cheese. Mustard powder for tang. No roux, 5 minute cook time.
If you felt like sharing the deets on this recipe, I am all eyes!
  • I always take recipes and play around a bit, this is what I based it from. https://www.sixsistersstuff.com/recipe/instant-pot-mac-and-cheese/
