@cass06_07 we call it Padawan. I love Star Wars and they’re Jedis in training. Granted they’re not babies but whatever. I’m kind of judging myself for this as I type
@kayjay44 - WHY YOU SO PERFECTTTT? And. I feel you girl. I’ve got a serious bump happening these days and it’s bananas to me (4th pregnancy & 3TM explains it... but still...).
My husband is working a wine tasting right now and I’m literally salivating over the descriptions. I think I would chop off a finger, Handmaids Tale style, for a “crisp, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with hints of pear and green apple”
Uh, I haven’t even come up with anything more than “this one”.
I’m with you. I was calling it “it” for a while until we learned there are two, not its “these” ha. Very creative over here.
I realy have been contemplating buying an instapot. That ziti looks fucking delicious. All in all, is the instapot all its cracked up to be? Worth the money? I think Ill need something like it for when “these” come.
@cali1710 - it’s amazing and better than my crockpot alone (which we got rid of). We don’t use it as much in the summer but use it constantly in the winter.
Another vote of HELL YES to the IP. We use it at least once a week. Knock off Chipotle rice is a fav. Love making big batches of hard boiled eggs. Taco chicken. Made a cobbler in it a few weeks ago.
A big roast takes more like an hour but it’s like butter, and I mean, an hour?! I use mine a lot. Even for little things like pasta for pasta salad. 3 minutes after it reaches pressure, don’t have to stir it. I do rice, beans, carnitas, riblets, soups and stews in the winter. There’s super easy macaroni and cheese that I think I’m making for lunch now..
I cook now basically because of the IP. I seriously basically never cooked before. I've done a whole "rotisserie" chicken. I make Indian food that, to my Caucasian palate so ya know but still, tastes amazing. We do most everything in there. We pressure cook instead of hard boil a dozen eggs a week which are the best textured "hard boiled" eggs i have ever eaten. I am like an ad for that thing!
I also really love the yogurt making function on my instant pot. I never ever had any interest in making my own yogurt before I got the IP. Actually, I never really liked yogurt before I got the IP. But the yogurt I make in the IP is soooo much better than what I can get in a store, for soooo much less money, and it's absurdly easy to make. I do it once or twice a week now.
I love my IP. We should have like a pinned post of tried and true favorite IP meals. As shit starts to get more real for all of us (read: stressful and hectic with 9,000 appointments and screaming demon children), it'd be nice to have a quick resource. I usually go to Pinterest, but I often don't know how the recipes turn out before I try them as I can't trust blogger types.
I swear to god the next person who buys my kid a vtech or leapfrog toy is getting karate chopped in the neck. I hate them so much. They’re all getting rounded up and taken straight to the dumpster tonight.
No @cali1710 just pasta and water at first, then you mix the other ingredients in while it’s still hot. Pressure cooking milk curdles it. Still super easy!

We found out when it was the size of a poppy seed and Poppy has stuck.
I'd do a lot for a nice beer or glass of wine, sitting on my porch...
So goooooooooood.
