Well ladies, I’m happy (cautiously, optimistically, happy) to report that my son was born this evening weighing a whopping 1 lb 1 oz (80 grams above their estimate) and 10.25 inches at 26 weeks and 3 days. Liam was intubated but his vitals are looking good and they’re running some tests. There’s an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow morning to check for brain bleeds and another for Sunday. All of us are (again) cautiously optimistic but his weight is much better than anticipated and he wasn’t without oxygen, his heart rate stayed stable and Daddy even got to see his eyes open

Glad to hear that he passed expectations. Modern day science is a miraculous thing so I'm hoping he continues to be progressing well with the care of his team of doctors. wishing you well and sending positive vibes .
