I’ve been MIA again for a bit. Had a fun but stressful weekend where I over committed myself and ended up trying to keep all of them but still managed to piss off everyone s little bit and also exhaust myself trying not to let people down. Definitely too old for that kind of crap.
I spent the weekend in the Catskills where the weather was actually perfect. But I did learn the hard way that camping at 29 weeks is not the smartest...
congrats @sammierose464 on the glucose! Found out Thursday I passed mine too! Barely passing is still passing and no one gets extra points for passing by a wide margin (its like the bar exam of pregnancy!) Hope the doc agrees!!
I failed my 1-hr! Like, pretty badly. I’m surprised because my weight gain has been super normal and my belly measurement was right on track and haven’t had any other signs. But I’m also not surprised at all because my mom had it with me and she was smaller than me (and probably healthier). My pregnancy so far has been just like hers with me.
The results posted online yesterday so haven’t even talked to the doctor yet about it. But blugh. Not excited.
@hannaht8516 just remind yourself it's nothing you did or didn't do. I know how you feel though. My 1hr was 174, and hours 1 and 2 of my 3hr were literally points below cut off. Hang in there and don't stress until you find out next steps. And remember it's manageable!
I just feel like I need to scream a lot of swear words... holy s*** I cant believe October babies have begun arriving. Everything is feeling super real now and scary, yet still so surreal!!
Home again, home again, jiggity-jog... Back from another one of DH's cousins weddings. It was near Sioux Falls, close to the South Dakota - Minnesota state line. I hadn't been sure if it was ok to go, but Dr said it would be fine. So glad we went! But sooo glad to be home. The wedding was beautiful! The singing was absolutely gorgeous. It was a quick trip, went up yesterday and came back today, but worth it. We got home around 11:15 PM so I'm just now in bed at almost 12. Thankful no more cousins are getting married this summer!!
I’m at my OB’s office for my 3 hour glucose. I’m supposed to have my 1 hour draw at 9:22 but I don’t think I’ll make it that long...I’m literally choking down the need to vomit. And with my OB, if you vomit you fail. This is awful.
@tlmill ugh I hope you make it! My last OB was like that and I remember coming so close to getting sick during my three hour! I laid my head back, closed my eyes, and focused on taking a couple deep breaths.
I’m an idiot. My appointment with my midwife is at 4 today. How did I not think of the fact that I’m doing my 1 hr test when I scheduled? I have never wanted sugar so bad in my life!! Right after I’m done I’m so stopping by Nothing Bundt Cakes to pick up some heaven.
@tlmill If you do puke and it gets cancelled ask if there is another way to get the sugar in. My friend's OB had her down a ton of skittles as an alternative

@bntfroggie I ate a giant frozen lemonade yesterday, looked at the nutrition info and it had 54 grams of sugar! I was like why couldn't I have eaten this for my glucose test......
This child is so fucking low he’s practically in my legs. I’m feeling kicks that are so deep in my hips, they’re practically outside my pelvis. And he’s also almost in front of my pubic bone. I swear if this child drops any lower he’s going to fall the fuck out. I’ve been thinking time is flying for weeks, but now it’s looking like this is going to be a long two months.
So I wasn't looking at baby names since we have had ours picked out for a while, but I had a client who came in today and she had a daughter. Guys....this girl was named CartéA.
@kiwi2628 that’s too much. Did it really have the accent as part of the name? If you say yes, then I’m going to side eye it even more because my nit picky self wants to correct them that with the accent, I’m pretty sure it should be pronounced “Car-tay-eh” (not sure if that’s how I’d type out what I’m trying to say out loud, because I’m horrible at typing things out phonetically...)
This baby is so high up I cannot breathe. Whyyy God whyyyyy?!!? Really need to figure out a way to get comfy or at least not pass out due to lack of air.
Mine is also super low. Today a stranger in the street yelled to me “hey, you’re having a boy right?!” I said I don’t know and she said “you are. That’s why it looks like you are carrying a basketball.”
@estellegetty I feel that way sometimes. Right now i can feel baby under my rib cage and on my hip bone at the same time...it’s getting crowded in there.

Could it be they were going for some form of CardieB?

Silly question but how many months am I? I am 28 weeks. Some sites say I am 6 and some say 7. I hope I am 7 months just because I have gotten several strange looks when I said I am 6 months. I am petite and this is my 3rd child but gosh people...
I know I've kept pretty quiet about politics, and I did wanna clear it up. Just so no one panics, I am not a Trump supporter. I mean, I hope he does a good job since I live here, but yea, scary times. We actually don't vote, and we more pray for our governing authorities, whoever they are. I think it'd be explained that we are subject to God and the Bible, and that also means giving respect and being subject to the country, wherever we live. So we do need to obey laws and such, as long as it wouldn't go against our beliefs. Like if they said we couldn't pray or have church or something. We are American citizens and same for people from other countries, so we're not sovereign citizens or anything crazy like that. I worry, and I know a lot of people worry about the state of the government. I get weary of the Democrats vs Republicans attitude and think it's going to get the US nowhere. They are so consumed with blaming the other and disagreeing with anything the other says, no matter what is brought up, that the problems go unresolved and usually just gets worse.
I know our beliefs can also be controversial, and I try and keep out of political debates, so I just kept quiet. I didn't want anyone to think I'm a Trump thumper. In some past elections, it would've felt like one was the lesser of two evils, but not so much this time around.
@estellegetty try tailor sitting. My chiro suggested it because this kid is so far up there sometimes that I can’t keep food down. It really does help a little! For me anyway... ETA DH makes fun of me when I do it.
