@kristimh80 How High was your AMH? Mine was 4.17 back in Nov.
  • Options
@ndz2018 Mine was 5.6. Think was the only reason my doctor thought I could have PCOS type ovaries. Which maybe causing anovulation. Otherwise, I have no symptoms...so idk if they really know.

@kristimh80 When it came back 4.17 she asked me if I had PCOS and I told Her to my knowledge I do not. I feel For a 37 y/o it’s high but just over Normal high so I’m just gonna go with my ovaries are like a fine wine and get better with age  :D:D

@ndz2018 That's kind of been my therory too and how I think about it! I do have PCO / polyscistic ovaries due to a million follicles I have, just not the "syndrome". Which sucks b/c it's such a mind game...I use to think how "cool" it was to have so many follicles...like I'd have more of a chance. Little did I know LOL

@kristimh80 @ndz2018 I’m curious to see what my AMH will be today. Still waiting for call back with blood results. I’m assuming I will be on meds but they haven’t said anything to me about that. Usually my progesterone is low so I have to be on suppositories and PIO injections. They haven’t said anything about BCP or any meds yet but I will ask when they call. How many follicles are too much?
  • Options
    ndz2018ndz2018 member
@Drove2u I think you can all the follicles in the world but if they aren’t good quality it won’t matter. Always quality over quantity. My AMH was 4.17 and got 29 eggs... 5 were PGS normal and 3 mosiac... I chalk it all up to LUCK!
  • Options
@Drove2u I ditto what was just said. I had 50 retrievd, but only like 1/2 were mature. I wish I had less retrieved and more better quality. It's such a #'s game...I always feel like I'm playing the craps table in vegas with IVF stuff lol

Ah ok!! Yeah I had 12 retrieved and only five made it.
got my blood results back and everything looks great! So happy! FSH was 10. Amh I don’t know because it takes a week to get that back. The nurse said I will be on estrace and PIO. not sure what else I’ll be getting. I have to call them on Tuesday so they can put in my order. So next step is hysteroscopy.

Hi everyone, was in the January IVF board and that was my second IVF cycle. It ended with a BFN and no frosties. I did a back to back new cycle in March and transferred 2 embies and had 4 frozen. This was my best cycle ever and I got a BFP.
    TW and children mentioned
Everything looked perfect until I did a NIPT and the 12 w NT scan. Baby boy had lethal anomalies due to T21 and we TMFR last week at 11w6d. I discovered a whole new level of pain and the only thing that I can hang on to right now is my 3 y daughter and the hope that one of my frosties will give me that rainbow baby.
    End Tw
Not exactly sure of my FET timeline yet, but really hoping for July or August at the latest.
    Love to all of you.

Hi all! I had my egg retrieval in March, went through PGS testing and have 4 embryos. My husband and I thought we would wait until next year to transfer but we’ve decided to pull the trigger now. My AF should arrive in the next 5 days or so and my doctor wants me to decide whether I want to go through 12 or 21 days of birth control. Do any of you have any insight as to whether there is any benefit to a short or longer BC protocol?

    Thanks,

    Liz

@sidilly Hello, I’m so sorry you’re here under these circumstances, my SIL went through the same thing at 12 weeks 2 years ago and on Christmas Eve they got the news, my heart goes out to you and your DH. FX you  embryos waiting for you is your rainbow baby.

@lizy181 Welcome! I did My ER in Dec, had a minor surgery in Jan that benched me for 2 months after then a few hiccups along the way.... I’m excited our July FET group is growing !

@Drove2u I wonder why The AMH test takes so long to come back? I feel Like I got mine pretty fast. My FSH was 7.8 If I rememeber Correctly.

@kristimh80 it’s a rainy Sunday here at the beach in NJ... ENJOY YOUR DAY!

@lizy181 Not sure about he BCP as I’ve never had to use it except when i was waiting for surgery back in Jan. Congrats on your 4 normals! Do you know what sexes they are?  I have 5, 1 male and 4 females, we also have 3 mosaics which they don’t recommend for transfer but I plan on asking about them at our next app .

@ndz2018, we have 3 boys and 1 girl. I’m pretty terrified about it all quite honestly (we don’t have any kids yet) and the nerves have really set in!

@kristimh80 @ndz2018 @Drove2u Thank you for your support, ladies.
@lizy181 Birth control pills help with the prevention of cysts which could delay your FET. I think the longer you take them the lower the chance for a cyst is but every cycle and every body is so different it's really hard to tell in advance.

@lizy181 I understand your nerves. No kids here either and down to our last embryo. I think it causes me to feel and act extra emotional these days. So you aren't alone! <3

@lizy181 welcome!! I don’t have any experience with bcp in my protocol but that’s a awedone that you have 4!!

@ndz2018 no idea why AMH takes so long. They said they have to send that one out. No clue!! Yes pretty gross weather here too!

We had a pretty awful memorial weekend. TW Child mentioned. My daughter ended up getting hand foot mouth disease. End TW and then DH got kidney stones. And wound up in the ER. we don’t really have any help unless I’m at work so it was all me all weekend. I was just praying I wasn’t going to get sick. Feeling a little run down now but just hoping it’s from exhaustion and not a sickness. But everyone is good now! And now I get to go back to work tomorrow. Yay!! Lol.
On the fertility front: have to call docs tomorrow to get my meds ordered. And go for hysteroscopy.

@Drove2u Oh no! Sorry you've had such a yucky weekend, but happy to hear everyone is better now!! :) My 1 yr old niece is sick, so we are skipping Memorial Day fun with them today. I don't want to chance that mess spreading either.

AFM: Have my lining check & blood work tomorrow. Long as it's triple striped...guess I'll be starting the lovely PIO shots. This time I'll probably make them draw an X on my booty so maybe I won't be so all over the place lol

Hi everyone! Most likely I will have a July FET so I thought I would join in here.  I had my ER last Monday and found out yesterday that 5 embryos made it to freeze.  We are currently waiting for the test results which should take a couple of weeks.

    TW*loss mentioned
We did 5 IUIs and first one ended in CP. then in December 2017 we did our first round of IVF but lost our baby at 9weeks due to a chromosomal abnormality. End TW

thr RE put me on special vitamins and I also lost 30lbs and this time we ended up with 5 to freeze when we had 0 last time.

Looking forward to getting to know you ladies!!

@kristimh80 thanks!! And that’s so exciting for you!! Moving right along! Keep us updated tomorrow!!

@bpietronicco so sorry about your losses. I know it’s tough. I’ve had a CP and ectopic and it sucks so badly!! Sounds like you’re on the right track!!

random question: I’m usually on the boards on my phone. How do you remember and tag each person. I feel like I’m always going back checking the tag name. When I was on the boards last year I barely tagged people but trying to be more supportive now. I was just wondering if there’s an easier way to do it and if I’m struggling here for no reason. Lol.
  • Options
@Drove2u I am primarily on my phone as well- and like you I go back and forth checking names- when you talk with the same ladies for awhile though you start remembering!!

@kristimh80 we were in an iui group together. It is nice to see familiar faces around.  We are doing testing this time around due to a TW -missing 21 chromosome in our baby girl we lost at 9 weeks in February. End TW

@sidilly we also had fatal Chromosome 21 with oour first round of ivf-the heart beat stopped at 9weeks.  I am so sorry you had to go through this!

@lizy181 We’re going with a boy first as well :) Also back to the BCP  if you want to hurry up and get things rolling go for the 12 days ... If you’d like a little more time as enjoy the first few weeks of summer including July 4th maybe do the 21 day and your FET should be mid July :)

@bpietronicco I’m sorry to hear what you have gone through. I do remember you from the Dec IVF group. Glad you’re in our group but sad that you have to be here...I’m finally doing my FET! Guess the testing you’re waiting for is PGS? FX all 5 of them come back normal!!

@Drove2u I do a lot of scrolling too! Sucks about your weekend but glad everyone is on the mend.

@kristimh80 When is your ERA date?
  • Options
@bpietronicco FX for good results from your testing! I almost didn't test after retrieval due to hearing all the controversy over it. But it's nice knowing that when you transfer you won't have those type of worries.

@ndz2018 I should know after my appt tomorrow. Guessing still around June 5th since usually RE does 21 day transfers. I'm worried if things from the ERA come back that I need extra progesterone, that I'll fall on July 4th and not sure they'd transfer then  :/

hey, hey - i am pretty sure / hoping our FET will be this July.

A little background; we just finished our first round of IVF and *TW* it ended in a CP *END TW*. We had 8 total embryos, transferred 1 and 7 frozen. I'm not sure what our protocol will be since we're still waiting for my betas to reach 0 and will then meet with the Doc to discuss.

For the past week I've been bleeding/spotting quite a bit and I'm still on progesterone suppositories, so I'm not really sure what's going on. I will bring it up with the nurse today with they call with my updated #s. Anyone have a similar experience? I'm not sure if this is just normal post-IVF spotting or I should be considering this CD1?

Hoping for a lot of success this July!  <3<3<3

@bpietronicco I am so sorry for your loss, I hope you get great PGS test results this time and have your rainbow with the July transfer. If you don't mind sharing, how long did it take for your HCG to go down to 0 and what vitamins did your RE put you on?
@Drove2u Sorry for your worries during the weekend. It sucks. GL with the hysteroscopy!
@kristimh80 Are you on a medicated protocol? I am so worried that medicated protocols don't work for me because of timing. It's good that you have the ERA option.
@lizy181 and @ndz2018 FX for your boys!
@madasm0530 I am so sorry about your CP. I think they should have stopped your meds too. Hope you recover quickly and move onto your next step.
