@sidilly Yes, I do estrace and PIO for my cycles. I don't think I would of had the ERA option if didn't ask. Nothing else, it's a nice option for peace of mine. :)

Just got the call and my #s went up again. UGH! 29 - 32 - 38. I got the OK to stop progesterone and all other meds but have to go back Thursday for another blood draw. I'm sure you all can relate but I just want this finished so we can move on!!

Hello again everyone! I had a lot to catch up on :)

@madasm0530 I’m assuming you weren’t getting AF because you were still on progesterone. I had a CP as well earlier this month. My bloodwork went from 100 to only 101 so they instructed me to stop all meds and then checked HCG two more times. I got AF about a week after I stopped my progesterone and estrogen.  I 100% get what you mean about moving on. It’s the waiting around that gets me.

And speaking of waiting....still waiting to hear if my insurance will cover my RPL panel.  I checked our benefits packet and it did state that it’s covered after three consecutive losses, which I have not had. Hopefully the finance lady at my clinic can talk them into covering it.

  • Options
@madasm0530 honestly I cannot remember- this last year and a half has been so many appointments etc.  I believe for my chemical it took just a couple of weeks and for my loss at 9 weeks a little longer than that but not sure.   As for vitamins I was on coq10 and ovasitol as well as prenatal and metformin. I also lost 30 lbs over 12 weeks in between my loss and my egg retrieval.

Hi everyone.  I was on the May IVF board. Now, I am anxiously awaiting my pgs test results on 8 blasts and should I have any normals I will be a July FET.  I look forward to transferring with you all and will read this thread and catch up.

@suziev3 Yeah the waiting is brutal.. FX You get results earlier!!

Is anyone doing anything special to prep for your FETs??
  • Options
    J1006J1006 member
@susiev3 Waiting for those PGS results is torture! Hopefully you get a bunch of normals. FX the results come back before the 7th.

@ndz2018 nothing special to prep. I do drink pomegranate juice for my lining but that’s it.  I tried it last summer for one of my IUIs and the nurse doing my scan noted that my lining was a lot better than previous cycles so I decided to do it for my last FET as well. According to my RE my lining looked perfect so I’m sticking with the Pom juice. Could be worthless but hey it doesn’t hurt :) I’m actually going to be off of work this time around so I’m looking forward to that part.

@suziev3 FX for lots of normal embabies!

@ndz2018 Not planning on anything special this go around. Last time, I tried it all and I think it made me more stressed. So just planning to relax more and enjoy the process :)

@suziev3 mine was sent yesterday so I am in the torturous waiting with you.  @J1006 fx insurance covers it for you! It all is so expensive.

AFM I got my date for transfer which will be July 30 as long as we get at least one normal result back.  I will be doing the 21 day Lupron with estrogen patches.  This is my first FET so not too sure what to expect. I have a consultation with my RE to go over everything next Friday so hopefully my results are back by then.  Started spotting today so hopefully full flow will start tomorrow and I will have baseline on Friday and start BCP.

I'm going to jump in here.  Not sure if FET will be July or August, depends on when AF shows up.  This will be our second FET.  *TW* March's was a success but ended in a missed MC discovered at 10wks. *end TW* Yesterday my HCG levels were still at 6.8 so we're testing again Friday to see if we're to 0.  Then when AF shows up we'll follow the doctor's orders.  I think he wants me to sit out one cycle before the FET cycle.  So if AF acts normal we're looking at late July, early August.  This will be our last frostie to transfer, so if it doesn't work we'll be benched until early next year when we can afford another egg retrieval.

I'm assuming my protocol will be the same as last time.  It includes estrace, femera, prometrium, progesterone, medrol, a Z-pack and Xanax for transfer day.

@madasm0530 good luck with tomorrow's blood draw.  I feel your pain with wanting to move on.  This waiting without an active distraction and schedule to look forward to kills me.

@bpietronicco It's great to have a date!! Good luck with the pending results.

@ndz2018 The only thing I did last time was drinking a cup of pom juice nightly with my vitamins.  Other than that I just try to relax as much as possible about the whole process.

@j1006 good luck with insurance.  It's one of those things that is so nice to have but boy can they make it hard to get coverage on things.

I will read all the posts and respond tomorrow. Apparently I’ve missed a lot.
My amh level came back and it’s 1.16 no idea if it’s bad. And if it is does it matter if I have embryos frozen?
  • Options
    Drove2uDrove2u member
WOw!! When I did egg retrieval in 2015 my Amh was over a 3.
  • Options
@Drove2u AMH tends to change as time goes by like naturally you'd lose eggs as you get older. If you have frozen embryos, it won't affect them, they are from 3 years ago. Your AMH seems pretty normal...I'd only really worry if you needed to do another retrieval, but even so...I think you're good in that aspect :)

Thank you all for the kind words.

@Drove2u I know my clinic wants amh over 1.

@bpietronicco we did not do pgs testing on our embryo.  It was our first cycle and then clinic didn't strongly recommend it so we saved the money....had I known we would only have 2 make it to freeze I would have had them tested.  If we have to do another retrieval we'll definitely do the testing and HGH.

@kristimh80 I am hoping so much this is your month.

kristimh80 I added myself to the spreadsheet…finally! Feel free to send periodic reminders J

lizy181  good for you for trying to squeeze in all the summer you can get. Sometimes I wonder why I’m not starting this AFTER the summer and have my last hurrah!

madasm0530  Hoping your levels get down ASAP. It’s such an emotional thing to go through as well as frustrating just waiting for it to be over to start again. I hear you!

    J1006  any news from insurance?

suziev3 FX for all normal embryos for you!!!

ndz2018 not doing anything special this time. Just have to remember to take my prenatals again which has become a chore. I need to probably set a reminder on my phone. But that is the one thing I’m really working on.

bpietronicco that is really exciting to have a plan like that! This is my first FET too and I also don’t know what to expect.

ChristenMA83  Sorry to hear about the MC. And hoping your levels are down to 0 soon. Do you remember what “grade” your embryo was during the transfer?

AFM: besides my panicky post earlier. I also talked to a friend TW—children mentioned—who got pregnant with her second with a .6 AMH via IUI, third try, and pregnant with her third, AMH .2 IUI—first try END TW so I feel a lot better. I’m so hard on my body sometimes and expect it to act perfectly always. You girls also made me feel a lot better. So thank you for that.  I never paid attention to any numbers before because the docs always said everything was fine. I guess now with my age (37), things are slowly deteriorating. Lol.

Any fun plans for the weekend to distract you from all of this? I have a work trip to Canada but luckily east coast—and will be gone Fri-Mon.  Taking a “free vacation day” Tuesday since I’ll be working all weekend. When I get back I go for my hysteroscopy.

Welcome @ChristenMA83! I’m also between a July or August transfer, but I’m hanging out here for now. So sorry about your loss. Hopefully Friday brings good news. I’m on my last frostie as well. This has to be a lucky month!

@Drove2u as said above your AMH shouldn’t affect your FET since you’re embryos are frozen and you aren’t doing a fresh transfer.  I don’t even think my RE tested for my AMH during FET blood work. I wouldn’t stress about it.   No news from insurance yet. I’m going to call the office and play the what if game tomorrow :)  I did get some details on my abnormal SHG though. They added a detailed report to my patient portal which they haven’t done before. My RE thinks it was a polyp on my SHG, so we will see. Still waiting for AF, which I’m thinking will be here next week.

    Added myself to the spreadsheet.

@ChristenMA83 @bpietronicco Sorry for your losses.  I also had a similar situation in January.  I only had 1 good blast so I had to start over again with another retrieval a few weeks ago.  It's a really hard thing to go through.  We have been through a lot and FX we all get good news this time.
@ndz2018 I will be doing acupuncture and pom juice.  Maybe pineapple core. Avocados. I will be continuing a high protein, low carb/sugar diet. I am giving myself a break until I am CD1 though.  I'm staying on the CoQ10.

@Drove2u Our clinic doesn't really grade the embryos. Just poor which they don't freeze fair or good. When I asked for a grade and they said it was fair, and as far as a doctor's concern there's not really much difference between fair and good because our embryologist is very particular in  grading...whatever that means.

As far as fun weekend plans, there's a big strawberry festival near us that we're going to.  It's a big thing every year and I've always wanted to go but this will be the first time we actually make it.  Also have a work dinner to go to Saturday that I'm really not looking forward to.

@madasm0530 the next HCG test is tomorrow morning at 7:15.  They usually call with the results by early afternoon.  Hope your results come back in the right direction.  The fence actually does sound super exciting.  Our fence is literally falling apart, but we rent so I'm not sure if we want/are allowed to do any repairs on it.  It keeps the dogs in, but just barely.

@kristimh80 your weekend plans sound great.  I'm in desperate need of a pedicure, especially since it's flip-flop & sandal season.

I haven't spotted since last Saturday and now I'm seeing a lot of EWCM so I'm hoping that's a sign my body is moving on and AF will be somewhat predictable.

@ChristenMA83 FX your beta comes back 0 so you can move forward. Our doctor made us take this cycle off after prepping for two FETs and cancelling both...long story but I am enjoying some time off and being med free right now... at least for the next week or so.

@kristimh80 I am not looking forward to that part. So right after your ERA you get to stop meds and start right back up when AF shows up on CD 3?

J1006 any news yet? Also, will you have to get the polyp removed?

suziev3 My DH just started acupuncture, today actually, for his back issues. Insurance covers it for us besides a $40 Copay so maybe I will start going as well.

ChristenMA83 the strawberry festival sounds so fun! Where is it? East coast? West coast?  FX for 0 on HCG test tomorrow.

kristimh80 LOL when DH is away ever…even just for a couple hours, I go straight to trashy TV. Lol. I don’t get to watch much of it anymore. He was away for a couple of hours last night and I watched “Counting on” hahah but I love it!

madasm0530 FX for you 0 levels for you today!

ndz2018 enjoy being med free!!! And some drinks too while you’re at it!!

So you know how I had to call the doc this morning and thought they were going to tell me about my AMH levels?
Well I called but they didn’t even mention that.
My hemoglobin levels are a tad high. They just told me to go see my PCP but luckily it won’t affect anything fertility wise. Phew.
But still no idea why they are high and what I can do to decrease them. Some of my meds are ready at the pharmacy already!
So excited to get them. Lol. I don’t even know what’s there yet.
