Hi all! I’ve been lurking for a month or so as this is our first and I’ve never been on a board like this before!
My name is Carri and I live in Los Angeles with my husband and doggie. We got lucky on our second round of IVF with FET. I am 15 weeks 4 days and excited to start chatting with you all! Especially hoping to find some other Cali gals!
Hey y’all! Getting into this BMB a little late in the game. I live in North TX, been married for 5 years, due with huuuuge surprise baby #3 on October 11th. My A/S is next week but I work for an imaging facility and our u/s tech went ahead and scanned me today, and we found out we’re having baby boy #2. I have a 4 year old DD born March 2014 and 2 year old DS born October 2015. I’m still super active with my M14 mamas, and they’re basically my lifeline. Excited to get to know everyone here!
Hello. I had some difficulty posting before because I can't work my phone. I am expecting my first baby between 10/28-10/31, they can't quite pin down my due date yet. TTC was very difficult for us, we went through 14 months of fertility treatments, diagnostic procedures, and I lost 2 pregnancies early on. We finally conceived after a second embryo transfer. Blessedly, this has been a very easy pregnancy (besides me worrying throughout the 1st trimester) and we just had an ultrasound and baby is doing great! Me and DH live in LA, CA and we both work in the mental health field. We primarily love working on our house and are currently nesting to prepare for our little Halloween baby!
Hey ladies- I'm super late to this game... My name is Bridget. I am expecting my third October 7 (17+1 today). DS is 4, DD is almost 3. I am working now but was a SAHM for them as babies so I'm nervous about that transition. I also find that I am not nearly as "involved" this time around because I am so distracted by work and the two little tyrants who run my home. LOL.
I am also a relatively newly diagnosed Celiac and Type 1 Diabetic so those create new pregnancy complications...it's my third time but it's very different than the other two so I feel like a FTM all over again!
Anyway- I'm looking forward to shirking my work responsibilities a bit this week and combing this board to get to know you all.
@MissBridg since I was in high school, sometime around 2005 ish?? At least that's when we did the biopsy. I've had symptoms my whole life (bloated and tender stomach), but it really kicked in during early high school.
Eta: it runs in my family, so my mom pushed my doctor to test me sometime after my aunt was diagnosed.

Wow! I know so many people who were sick for so long. In hindsight I am really lucky how t happened to me- out of no where i was so sick i was basically incapacitated. For a month no doctor could figure out why everything went right through me or came back up...so they admitted me and did an exploratory scope. The pathologist described by small bowel as "destroyed." So I was incredibly sick, but for such a brief time. And once I went gf I was back to normal.... It was a really tough transition to make at 32 though....to relearn how to eat... but I've got that down now.
Hi all! Glad to join, my sister recommended joining a pregnancy community so I can discuss with others expecting and not bore my friends! My name is Sara, Im 33, expecting my first baby with DH, we just found out we’re having a little girl, I’m very excited but it took DH a couple of days to let it sink in he’ll be raising a little girl, he’s over the top happy as well! She’s due October 14th, so currently 16 weeks along. Excited and nervous for our upcoming adventure!!!! looking forward to getting to know everyone here!!! @yankeefan16
Hello Everyone, This will be baby #2 for us (Oct 16th EDD). DD will be 6 next month on June 12th (Husband's SD). Definitely a little nervous to have start over but so worth it. We couldn't be more excited! We had been TTC for a year and a half. I was having amenorrhea and anovulation, finally got a doctor to listen and help us get pregnant.
DD is finishing up kindergarten this year and will be in the first grade when the new LO arrives We have been team baby and found out we are expecting a little boy
I work part time right now but with DD I stayed home with her for the 1st year and plan on doing so with LO. We have 3 fur babies. We are a new active military family as well.
Hi Ladies! I am finally coming out of hiding, I have been paranoid and afraid to make it "official."
I am Nicole, from Southern CA. I am about 16.5 weeks, due October 19. I will be having a RCS so I'm thinking a October 12th baby. This is baby #2 for me (DD just turned 7 in April), 1st for my husband. We found out this past weekend we're having a girl, I was shocked but so excited to have another girl (I wouldn't mind a house full of daughters) and my daughter is excited to be having a little sister. I currently have 20 more days left of the school year (I teach kindergarten) and then I am back to being a SAHM!
I can't wait to get to know you ladies more, my daughters BMB moved to FB after we had out babies and we are still really active, and they are some of my close friends. Hope for the same here
@serena_ Looks like we’re on the same schedule! My name is Michelle and I’m a FTM from Austin, TX, about to be 33 in just a few days. We are 15 weeks today and our due date is October 30! My husband and I have been married just over a year now. It took us 8-9 months to conceive and we got the best anniversary gift we could have asked for with our little bun in the oven! My husband is a graphic designer and I’m an occupational therapist. We have 2 rescue doggies, a German Shepherd mix and a pit mix, who are going to make the best big sisters! It still seems surreal this is actually happening, but we could not be more excited!
@MissBridg@jemmerjams Glad to see some other GF'ers in the group! I was diagnosed in 2010 when I was 22. I'm a FTM and just curious if either of you have had your children tested after they started eating solids? I struggled with symptoms my entire life, I don't want the bean suffering too.

I had my son tested at 3. Their ped told me they don't typically test kids until school age unless they show symptoms. My son is chronically constipated so we tested but he was negative. My daughter never showed any GI issues so she hasn't been tested. We will test them both at start of school and every 5 years unless symptoms emerge.
Remember that although their chance of having it is increased by you having it, it's still a small percentage...and you remember how you felt- you know better what to look for as far as testing and answers if your kiddo starts to feel sick. Try not to dwell on the possibility...it's super low.
@babyptobe FTM too, but my personal preference is going to be to have my child on a strict gluten free diet until they are old enough to be tested. Then, if it comes back negative, they will still eat GF at home but I won't stress about too much when I'm not around. Many of my family members have tested negative for celiac, but still have poor reactions to gluten, so sorry, kid, you're gonna be gluten free.

Food for thought- you cannot test positive for celiac when you are on a gf diet. Some things require a medical diagnosis for example in order to get: procedures covered, school lunches provided, etc.
while all the meals i cook are gf, my kids are not on a strict gf diet. They have crackers, Mac and cheese, typical gluten-y foods. The periodic testing (with or without symptoms) is useless without gluten in their system.
@MissBridg yep, I should have mentioned this, but yes I do plan to introduce gluten if we decide to test. That would be a huge waste of money haha. If I see a horrible life threatening reaction (doubt that will happen, since I don't have one) I'd obviously stop and just assume gluten intolerance. But I would like to be able to get the test to know how strict I have to be. One of the daycares I'm looking at requires a drs note to have my child be gluten free, but it won't be hard to accommodate.
Curious, do you know if they do endoscopies on kids? Or is it just the blood test? I'd obviously prefer the accuracy of endoscopy but that seems like a big surgery for a child.

As far as I know my insurance required the blood test and scope to confirm the diagnosis. Whether that is true for all providers, for all ages, for all areas? I don't know. We started with the blood test and it was neg so never went further. My kids def eat enough that it would show positive if he had it.
Hi fellow Mama’s and Happy Mother’s Day! I am new here! I am 19+5 due Oct 4 and I have 3 boys (6 yrs, 4 yrs and 2yrs) we find out tomorrow if #4 is a boy or girl! We are all excited either way!!!

I struggle with nausea and am currently working on using unisom and b6 to keep things down I'm from Michigan and still live here in the Detroit area with my husband. Excited to be on this journey with everyone!

Just now seeing this, but yay I’m hoping for the 31st:) congratulations!!
Hi all!! I downloaded the bump on my phone about two weeks ago and it’s now finally allowing me to post on here!!!
i haven’t been on an official birth board since I was TTC my first LO, who was born in amarch 2012!! I haven’t really figured out all the bells and whistles on here so I don’t have tickers or any gadgets or whatever.
background on me; met my hubby in college and dated 3 years before he proposed. We moved back to NY after graduating and I pursued my masters. Hubby is originally from western Michigan and me from upstate NY. We were married 2 years later in Sept 2008. We waited awhile before deciding on Kids. We started actively ttc for our daughter in January 2011 and in June 2011 we got our BFP (1 month after I graduated with my masters)!! Our daughter was born, March 14, 2012 at 41 Weeks, natural unmedicated (not by choice) birth...cord wrapped and compressed and floppy however neonatal was there and she was cleared healthy screaming happy lol...9lbs 2oz 21.5” long, I had 3rd degree tear but healed quickly! And...surprise...1.5 years later we got a surprise bfp....our son was born February 1, 2014 also at 41 Weeks. He came fast and furious, again natural unmedicated vaginal birth...10lbs 3oz 22.5” long, I got a 4th degree tear. He was super happy healthy no broken collarbone or any issues at all!!
And NOW! Here we are...baby #3 on the way, Due October 13, 2018! A bit of a surprise timing wise but we couldn’t be happier! Kids are so excited for a baby, dd is now 6 and ds is now 4. And we just went to our anatomy scan and found out it’s a girl!! She’s measuring a week ahead as they figured since I grow big babies. Currently low lying placenta but they aren’t concerned. My office doesn’t do early US unless high risk so at 12w we got our first us and saw we actually had a vanishing twin. I know they are more common than they ever thought, but it was an empty sac no growth beyond 5-6w. Oddly it didn’t make me sad, more intrigued. I spent a few weeks doing research and I have put it to rest, but that would’ve been interesting, twins! I believe it’s for the best, there was a reason for it not developing and right now we have a healthy growing chunky girl in there
Super late to the game here but totally want to participate (if TB would just save my profile changes! haha) I have two DS and one more DS on the way! DS1 is a July 13 baby and DS2 is May 15 baby. New Kid #3 is our 3rd boy and he's due Oct 13th. I went 3 weeks early with DS2, so hopefully this one stays in October and doesn't try showing up in September......especially because life is still going at a chaotic pace with two little energetic boys running around so I really haven't been able to plan much for this new baby. I'm so used to fb groups with my other two kiddos, but it doesn't look like one has started yet for this group. I was SO sure this baby was a girl because of how different this pregnancy has been that the previous ones. I unexpectedly developed a PE at the beginning of March so I get to take blood thinners 2x a day until after baby arrives. Was so very thankful for my anatomy scan last friday to calm my anxiety and confirm baby is developing normal and on pace! Super excited to add another little man to the family and hopefully get to know all of you mamas!
So I know how ridiculous it is that I'm just introducing myself now at 22wks pregnant, but honestly I was waiting for the other shoe to drop for so long that it seemed weird to just dive in.
I'm 31 years old and my husband is 36. We've been married for 5 years in October. We have two cats Juno and Soni who are also around 5 years old.
*TW*
I had a MMC in March of 2015 discovered at 12wks, but stopped growing around 9 a few days after my ultrasound. I had a D&C, recovered, was pregnant again by the end of summer. I was a big part of the PGAL board, and Loss boards during that time. Then I immersed myself in the March 16 board, which kind of vacated TB for FB.
*TW*
I had a beautiful little girl on April 2, 2016. I was in the hospital for all of my 1 year since my loss anniversaries so it made it a little easier to swallow. I ended up with a c-section after 30 hours of labor. I was distressed and baby was stubborn. I did make it to 9cms though.
This time I'm due October 19th. We are team Green!! We also decided to do a v-bac. They will not let me go past my due date so they will induce for a vbac on Oct 17th if I do not have this baby before then. I am still slightly on the fence because my c-section was a breeze although I know not all of them are. We are currently in the throws of toilet training our 2yr old (it's going alright, not great but not horrible) my little girl is incredibly sassy and perfect.
Anyways, I should be increasingly more active here. It's so nice to meet you all!!
