@jsl82 enjoy the night! we have childless plans next Friday for some 90s cover band. while I'm excited to see friends.. I'm not excited about how tired and uncomfortable I'm going to be. and they better find me a bar stool or chair.
the only thing I liked about baseball was the tailgates. we'd get the cheapest ticket out in the bleacher area and I wouldn't go inside till the lot guards made me around the 6th inning.. got my free hotdog that came with my ticket and make my way back out to the lot and my beer.

Not a huge sports fan by any stretch of the imagination and DH hates baseball. But baseball makes me think of watching Braves games as kid in the summertime at home with my grandparents and eating popcorn. That's one of those memories I wish I could zap back into for just a little while.
amys614 - 1) I lived in STL for 2 years while I was a flight attendant and we LOVED going to the games. So much fun in stl just for the atmosphere. I'm from cinci so would go to reds games all the time growing up...and to your next comment, we were at a spring training game in Sarasota when I was, I believe, 6 and I got hit in the face by a foul- got taken to the team doc and everything.
ETA- I really don't care about the sport but love the atmosphere. Baseball just screams summer to me. Same goes for football. Love going to buckeye games (although being around all of the students makes me feel old...) but really don't care about the sport...purely the social aspect.
@stephcat421 Go Crew! I was never a baseball lover until I started dating DH. I never in a million years pictured myself allowing my future husband to have a display of 100+ Brewer bobbleheads be on display in our living space but here I am We try to get to a few games a year which is never enough! We saw them last August in Denver against the Rockies and have made it a life goal to catch them at a different away stadium every year by the time we die. Not sure if we'll catch one this year with a brand new baby. Maybe at Wrigley!
Thanks for the input everyone- sounds like we should be able to swing the baseball game (I'll see if we can get club access seats for the air conditioning and family bathrooms).
@catlady1215 enjoy your night out too! Hopefully someone will give you a bar stool. I'm sure we will both be fine once we are out- just so tired it feels like a to do instead of a break from life. All of the FTMs you should also try to plan a last night out before the baby comes with DH soon... it will be the last time you can just pick up and go out without having a baby sitter lined up for a very long time.
I've also told DH that tomorrow I am getting a pedicure before we pick DD up- plus we have to get the paint for the nursery and our taxes done.
@jsl82 it really a big to-do. we both work that day, so i'll be the one getting the kid put together and out to his grandmas (which we haven't even asked yet haha). and I really don't know how I'm going to stay awake past 10. our anniversary is the 12th, we both have off.. I think I'm going to ask dh if he wants to do a breakfast date while ds is in school cause evening plans don't sound fun

@jsl82 They think it’s just a varicose vein. The doctor said compression socks would help but since it’s behind my knee I’d have to wear one to my hip. I’m just going to see how it goes and if it gets more painful I’ll break out my tight knee brace to see if they help.
@catlady1215 day dates are my new favorites! DH and I went shopping a few weeks ago while my parents watch DD and it was so nice. I also could take a nap together while someone watches DD and that would be an amazing anniversary. I sound so old haha.
@dinodna3 hopefully it wouldn't continue to be painful- I cannot imagine having to wear full compression stockings until due date. From what I read on VVs exercise, elevation, compression, and reducing sodium should all help (not sure how much help).
@dinodna3 Yay! Great news I feel your pain...I have a nasty varicose vein and when was working on my feet all day with DS, I wore thigh high compression hose everyday. ETA: great news about no blood clot, not varicose vein, obviously haha
I'm so out of the baseball (or any sports...) loop. Give me a broadway show anyday.
@profmcgonagall I'm glad baby is still an inside baby even though you're on be dress
@dinodna3 yay for no blood clot! Boo for thigh high Ted hose!!
I'm not a baseball fan but DH loves the Cubs. I ocassionally watch with him but I just find it so boring. I'd rather watch soccer or football any day.
I have the day off of work because dd's daycare is closed. We went to an Easter egg hunt this morning, hung out with my mom, watch Ferdinand, and now we are home and dd has barely napped... she is still awake.
I hardboiled eggs so we can dye them tonight so that should be fun!
@May14th2011 Ugggghhh. That stinks! For the record, in my last pregnancy, I didn’t get anywhere close to passing my 1-hour, but I passed the 3-hour with ideal numbers. Hoping the same for you!!
