@meeks2020 I totally feel that way too. I have my A/S coming up a week from today. I was nervous with my first pregnancy to the point where I was sweating profusely and needed a cool rag on my head or I would have definitely passed out. I'm crossing everything for all Aug 18 scans to go great with all normal results.
Pointer for FTM's don't panic if the techs are pretty silent and seem to be taking a long time looking at one particular area of the baby. Babies are moving targets and it can be very hard to get the right positioning for a clear picture of what the radiologist wants to see. You may end up going back for another one after the allotted time is up (usually around 45 mins to an hour) if they didn't get pictures of everything due to babys positioning. I think this is pretty common.
This next one sucks butttt..don't count on finding out the sex for sure from the first A/S. My baby girl had her cord between her legs the whole scan so I didn't find out it was a girl until my follow up A/S a couple weeks later. They couldn't get a clear picture of her spine the first time so I was glad to get a chance to go back. Luckily she cooperated the next time.
As far as the bump owning your pics, all social media states the same thing... FB, Twitter, instagram, etc. Once you post it, it becomes their property *technically*.
If they want my bloated belly pics. They can have them. Lol. I hope they include a quote from me and my pooping probs. Haha.
@hardlyhannah I loved riverdale. I was watching the current season but then when I got sick it was too much effort to religiously watch it and we cut cable. But I love how they turned such an upbeat comic into this mood show. Archie is a horrible actor though.

What the fuck. Lauren’s reaction to seeing him?! That’s is NOT the reaction I expected at all, no matter how much they talked beforehand. There’s no way she’s going to say no to a proposal, so there goes all my respect for the both of them.

It’s really shady to me that Becca said Arie talked to Lauren and told her about it a week later, then both A and L said she asked if B knew they were talking and then glossed over it quickly. Sorry but that’s emotionally cheating. I know the situation is different because of the show, but ew. I do hope they’re happy but they’re def not going down in my favorite Bachelor couple list.
YAY that Becca is the Bachelorette. I love her. I hate when they do this awkward shit with the introductions like this though. Just wait until the actual show.

I think it is worse than emotional cheating, he was basically making sure Lauren was down to get back together before ending it with Becca. If she hadn't been he might have stayed with Becca despite clearly being more in love with Lauren. ICK. Men who can't handle being alone aren't mature enough to be in relationships. That proposal was also the saddest proposal ever. Two minute proposal on ATFR right between me talking to my ex and my ex being announced as Bachelorette? #alwaystherunnerup

Tomorrow (today) is going to suck. My dinner didn’t sit well with me, so even tho I went to bed at 10:15, I was awake until 12:30. As soon as I fell asleep DS2 started scream crying. Went in and realized DH forgot to put him in his sleepsack at bedtime. His little torso was so cold! It took him a long time to settle, and kept crying on and off.
Then at 3:30, I heard DS1 calling for me. Now I’m sitting in the chair in his room at his request while he falls asleep. It’s 4 and I am so tired. I don’t want to Mom right now. I want to sleep.

@F47 ugh the worst. I was coming in to comment that I was tossing and turning all night, up with the toddler once and normally I conk right back out but no, I was up and couldn’t sleep. I’ve been basically up since 4 off and on. And went to sleep at 12.
Snow day so I’ll be doing lots of vegging while I make the kids play outside... too bad I have to snowblow too bc dh is going to work.
I havent even gotten up yet avd im already exhausted!!!
BUT!!!!!! I just felt REAL kicks! Not the wiggles and ‘novement’ I’ve had for weeks. They were tiny but legit and I could feel with my hand too the best!!!!
By this time with my first I had already bought some trinkets and clothes for my son. I've bought one pack of headbands for this baby. I can't find girl stuff that's not unicorns and glitter that I like. She's going to be wearing mostly brothers things (a lot of his stuff was called "girly") but it's making me feel unprepared... We also have made zero progress on moving all of the bedrooms around so she's in the nursery. I just know if we wait until third trimester I'm huge and uncomfortable and completely unmotivated.

Sorry to all the sleep deprived ladies this morning! I went to "stretch out on the couch" last night after dinner and boom. Sound asleep at 7:30. Kinda bummed I missed a whole night with DSS, apparently he and DH were having a really great talk in the kitchen and I missed it all but I've been dealing with the insomnia now for weeks and I think my body just hit its limit.
@pghctwife - the worst. Since my last post, DS1 got up one more time (I think he’s getting sick), the dog started dreaming/snoring, our TV turned on out of nowhere and I had to get up and get the remote to turn it off, and my sister called at 6:15 asking if I could babysit last minute today.

There is snow on the ground this morning and I'm not okay with it. I know it's March in the Midwest, but still, I thought with a few 50-60 degree days this was behind us! DS was excited to see it this morning and he just kept saying how he was going to build a snowman with his friends at school, so the cuteness there made it a little more tolerable!
I have an appointment today and I"m excited! It's been 4 weeks since my last one - she couldn't find the HB via doppler (thanks tilted uterus), so had to use a handheld u/s machine instead. I haven't heard the HB since our 8 week u/s, so I'm so excited to hear it. My anxiety has been through the roof lately and I'm not sure why, so I needed this appointment today.
So exciting for all the AS coming up! My EDD is so late in the month that mine isn't until mid-April, but I'll be patiently waiting until then!

Yesss! I’m 18 tomorrow and felt her today for the first legit KICK. It’s the absolute best feeling in the world. Don’t you just wish you could bottle it? I’m totally totally done after this baby but man, I’ll miss the kicks.
I haven't even scheduled my A/S ultrasound yet because I'm due so late in August. I feel so behind! Lol. Also, I didn't even think to be anxious about it until reading these posts.
I'm glad I already know I'm having a girl though, because my SIL (due in July) went last week for her A/S and the baby was sitting on its feet the whole time. She has to wait until April for another chance.
Aww, I can't wait till I can feel definite baby kicks. I'm 99% sure these flutters when I'm laying on my back in bed are the kiddo swimming around in there, but it'd be nice to feel actual kicks that can be felt from the outside. My husband said that for him, the whole pregnancy thing is sort of surreal because he has no way to experience it, beyond my ramped up PMS...and I know that isn't enjoyable for him.
At my MFM appointment yesterday they scheduled me for my A/S ultrasound at the end of the month, I'll be mid-18 weeks then. I thought they were typically done at 20 weeks?
Ahhhhhh I am just loving all these kicking babies!!!!! I *think* I have felt baby the last two nights lying down but not certain enough to say for sure!

Shit is feeling real.... @dirtanddiamonds the best feeling!! @neeraja_k my mfm is doing it mid 18 weeks too, but last time mfm did it at 20 weeks. It's so hard to get good pictures of the heart at 18 weeks bc it's less than the size of a dime so it makes me nervous, but we'll have a fetal echo at 24 weeks most likely so I didn't make them move it later
@neeraja_k my OB said that they CAN do it anytime between 18 and 20 weeks, but prefer closer to 20. I'm actually not doing mine until I'm 20+6 because an upcoming vacation has thrown a wrench in my schedule. I think the only risk of doing it at 18 weeks is that you may have to come back for another. If you want to push it, you could always call and make an excuse about needing to move the appointment for one reason or another.
I had a horrible headache yesterday so I laid down around 7:15 and promptly passed out. All that sleep felt glorious and now my headache is gone. Woot.
No baby kicks yet Honestly, I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking for.. My A/S is 3/22 at 18 weeks so I'm hoping I'll see him kicking then and can put the motion with the feeling

@neeraja_k my OB schedules it anytime between 17 and 21 weeks. Mine is at 20 on the dot. Last time they tried to schedule me closer to 17 weeks, but I pushed it out to 19 because I wanted a better chance of seeing if it was a boy or girl.
@dirtanddiamonds@pghctwife I felt my first couple quick legit kicks when I woke up this morning. Yayy for our first kicks today! I said a quick prayer of thanks, it sure is a beautiful thing.

@hezzer78 as cliche as it is, you’ll know it when you feel it. The not knowing what you are looking for i think is mostkynthe reason ftm feel them later. FWIW remember this is my 4th. My first I felt ‘something’ the first time at 20w and kicks I could tell were kicks and feel with my hand at 24. My second was more like 18/22, then 15/19 and this time 14/18. Seems like it’s alwaus a month in between for me.
Im glad it came early this time. My pgal brain needs it.
I’m a STM and I still can’t 100% determine if it’s kicks or gas, but I’m certain I’ve felt kicks. Just can’t pin point them with absolute certainty. Last time I wasn’t sure until closer to 20 weeks, but I had definitely felt flutters by 17 weeks.
@hezzer78 I felt DS at 20 weeks. I’ve been feeling flutters since 16 weeks with this one and am feeling kicks daily now but I’m 19 weeks. And DS was extremely active. And this baby seems to be the same.
